Response of E-mail campaign to be captured as an Activity

Hello,
Using Campaign Automation, I create a E-mail campaign without a survey integrated. Customer sees the mail. If he is willing with the proposition he will respond favorably. <b>This positive response needs to be captured as an activity in CRM 4.0.</b>
Pls suggest the config process reqd for this
1. Without Win client Scenario
2. With Winclient scenario

Thanks for yor response.
No we do not have add on for service industries. Businesss does not require survey integration. They send a proposition in mail to customer, whic he can accept or reject.
accepted propositions need to be captured as activities in CRM.
When the customer accepts, he sends an inbound mail or calls the call center (here it is in R/3)
Those inbound responses can be captured thru "extended E-mail inbox setings" but that node does not appear in my IMG. Can u suggest how to activate it and the technology supporting this Inbound Email

If I use a SMS campaign, do you know how, from Technology perspective, message is transmitted from campaign automation tool to recipients mobile:

  • Response ID Control in Mailing Campaign

    Hi,
    Doing Mailing Campaign we can control throug Tracking via Target Site(++) how many times customer has accessed to the URL(CRMD_EMAIL_LIST).
    What we really need is if there is any way to pick up this BP´s and enclose in a Target Group to be used later(in another campaign) with option RESPONSE ID, RESPONSE CODE... by Standard(if it ís possible)
    It´d be the same funcionality than response survey through WF.

    1. ##: It is used to track the number of visits on a webpage ( An external URL eg. www.yahoo.com)
    2. ++( the one added manually at the end if the mail has Plain text format/ or using the icon Insert URL and choosing the option Tracking via Target Site on the HTML format)
    ++ is generally used for internal URLs like surveys or internal webshops.One can get the details of business partner, campaign and values( in case of surveys) .
    3. Response Id or using the ++ icon: If this is added in mail forms, say you get a reply for the same, this response guid basically helps you in finding out that it corresponds to which mail and can be assigned to business partner or campaign.
    4. Response Code Or Personalised Response Code: They are Easy- to use identifier for camapign outbounds and are unique for the combination of business partner and campaign.
    Say for eg, You are executing a hard copy campaign to the target group.Each hard copy will have this unique response code attached to it, so that later when the hardcopies are filled and send back, just inputing the Personalised code we can determine the campaign and business partner ( IN PCUI report).

  • How to monitor responses for an E-mail campaign

    Dear all,
    We are running an E-mail campaign on a specific target group. E-mail content has some advertising message regarding our newly launched product categories.
    Now the requirement is to know, how many customers in the target group has opened and see the email message.
    Can it be configured in SAP CRM??, if so how could we do this, do any other systems integration is required for this process??
    Please help me to find the correct solution for this requirement, Your help will be highly appreciated.
    Kindly refer any step by step or screenshot based documentation for the same.

    Hi Raghu,
    If u r maintaining any URL for u r Advertisement in mail form then it is possible to track the number of hits by receipant for that URL.
    To create a URL, simply highlight the text of the URL (for example, www.sap.com) and then choose the
    URL button. This turns the highlighted text into a hyperlink in the e-mail.
    >If your hyperlink is to SAP Internet Sales, you can create a personalized link to the Web page by adding a ++ to the end of the URL. The ++ creates a unique identifier that can be used to track whether or not the recipient has accessed the Web site from the e-mail. If you add ## to an URL, tracking is now also possible for all other Web sites
    You can check the hits of u r URL :-
    SAP menu ->Marketing ->Marketing Planning and Campaign Management ->CRMD_EMAIL_LIST - Display Marketing Contact List-- Execute the marketing contact list by entering the search crieteria.
    (Number of Access is number Hits by customer)

  • Response options in Marketing Campaigns

    Hi everyone,
    I'm trying to demystify the Response Options in the Marketing area.
    I'm wondering, how can we use these Response Options?
    If I create a direct e-mail campaign I can add Response Options to the Campaign. Nice.
    But what can I do with these Response Options?
    How can I add these Response Options to the email template I'm sending out (e.g. I want to send out an invite email with two response options, "Yes I will attend", "No, I will not attend" --> How can I actually "ask" the question to my target group in the email template?)
    Maybe the Response Options are not used in Direct e-mail campaigns?
    To be short, has anyone worked with the Response Options yet in marketing campaigns and can tell me how to actually use them :-)

    the only thing I know is the following:
    If you want to classify responses that you capture when executing campaigns, an administrator can create response options that can be assigned to campaigns. A response option can have a positive, negative, or neutral classification.
    With the classification you can select, for example, all positive activities in reporting.
    When a campaign is assigned to an activity, there’s a check, whether response options are assigned to this campaign.
    If there is a default response option, this default will be shown in the newly created activity. You can change the response to another option assigned to the campaign afterwards.
    Note: Currently there is reporting and user interface selection based on the response option. For leads and
    opportunities we assume to have already a positive feedback. Otherwise we would not have such an object.
    Response options can only live with a campaign. When you set a response option to Obsolete, you will not see it anymore in the value help and you can't assign it to campaigns.

  • Help required on Execution of Surveys through E-mail Campaigns

    Dear all,
    Our Client wants to execute the Customer Satisfaction Survey through an E-mail Campaign and wants to receive the customer feedback to evaluate the customer response.
    I have the following concerns to map this requirement in SAP CRM
    1. as per some SAP documentation we have to create an URL link for our Survey, here how can we insert this link in to an E-mail? Should we need to create a personalized E-mail form to insert this link?
    2. Upon customer clicks on this URL link, and enters the feedback form, how the responses are getting back to CRM server and  where the Questions and answers are storing in SAP?
    3. What configuration do we need to do in SAP CRM to achieve this requirement?
    4. How can we evaluate the Customer answers and responses without integrating BIW system?
    5. What standard reports available in SAP CRM to evaluate the customer response based on ratings given to the each answer?
    6. How to track whether customer review the mail or not, in case if customer doesn't want to give the feedback?
    I believe that, in SAP CRM a standard solution and reports will be available to address this requirement. I request you to help me in resolving the problem.
    it would be helpful if you can refere andy step by step configuration manual for this requirement.

    Hello,
    Can anyone tell me please if a e-mail campaign can detect whether a user has read e-mail received from campaign?
    Or whether user has received the e-mail?
    I believe emails have tracking numbers, is this true and how can it be set up in CRM?

    Hello Anshul,
            as part of email campaigns we have types of tracking one is whether a business partner visited our webshop (sap internet sales) or not ........this is done by inserting a ++ mark at the end of URL link which we put in the mail form, and the other is to put a ## mark at the end of URL link which is other than webshop's link (any general URL link). and by clicking the '++' button in the text block of the email form a tracking ID is set. it is enclosed between ampersand. (&Tracking ID&).  The tracking ID is a GUID set by the system. The response can be seen in Tcode: CRMD_EMAIL_LIST.

    I have executed a E-mail Campaign , with a target group having 25 BP's. All Bp's have  the same mail Id, as this was test scenario.
    The probelm is, this campaign gets executed unstoppably and the the person with this mail id gets 25 mails everyday.
    How can I stop this. Pls treat this request as urgent.

    You could look at the tables CRM_SVY_DB_SV, CRM_SVY_DB_SVS and CRM_SVY_RE_ANSW.
    In the survey builder you could maintain rating values for responses from the input field and text field type in the expert mode.However, since the rating of input fields is problematic as a program cannot value the contents of a user-defined text field. Therefore, input fields were excluded from the rating calculation.
    There is no standard source document which would give a list of CRM tables except a few use case design document that was shared to me by community members which I could share with you.

    Hi,
    Is it possible to send e-mail campaigns through Webmail, but still obtain e-mail campaign reports through Business Catalyst?
    I have some e-mail lists that I can only access through webmail, but require the reporting features that Business Catalyst provides.

    Hi Manatee2013,
    It's not possible to use your webmail account for mass mail-outs. This is against our email provider's policy and you may risk having your email account temporarily disabled. Please only use the email marketing campaign within the admin console of your site for this specific feature.
    Note that within webmail you can export your address book. However you'd need to then modify the format of the exported file if you then wish to re-import this list onto your site as a mailing list.

    So is this the way Apple works now? Not solving customers problems? I'm sure so many users have had this problem. I've had, and I reinstalled Mavericks 3 times. Works fine for some days and then several Apple Apps stop working. Is that a way to force us ti update to Yosemite? (I don't want to) and then pay to update some third party programs (i.e. Pro Tools). Also, there are so many 15" MacBooks Pro with graphic problems and of course the guys at the Apple Service Centers always say: "It's the logic board, you can have it replaced, but it's so expensive I would recommend a new Mac".  I really, really miss Steve Jobs!

  • Can I attach a document to an e-mail campaign sent from BC?

    I am preparing an e-mail campaign for a client and wish to attach a document.
    Previously I have uploaded the document into the media downloads module and inserted a link in the e-mail campaign to download the file.
    I have a feeling that more people will view the document if it is sent as an attachment rather than as a download link (particularly on mobile devices)
    How so I include attachments in my e-mail campaigns from within Business Catalyst (if it is possible)?
    I realise I will loose tracking options by doing this.

    Attached files from an auotmated service - Instant block in most cases. Thats if you could, you cant in BC.
    Your doing it the best way with the link and it also means you can track it.

    You haven't set up the SMTP (outgoing) mail server correctly. You probably didn't enter your user ID and password for the outgoing server. They are needed even though it says "optional".

  • Outlook Meeting Attachments in e-mail Campaigns

    Hi,
    I have been asked to provide the functionality so that when an e-mail campaign is executed, to have an Outlook meeting icon sent with the e-mail to put the item in the recipients Calendar.
    This is assuming the recipient uses MS Exchange of course.
    Has anyone done anything similar to this? Is it even possible?

    have a look to the SAP- Produkt Groupware - Mapbox.
    This can replicate Data to Outlook, for excample meetings in the calendar.
    We use this feature, but we have a lot of problems.
    Perhaps this solve your problem.

  • Direct mail campaign based on partner function

    I'm trying to create a direct mail campaign to all persons who have a certain partner function. I have succeeded in getting all the persons out by exporting them from the target group in the Segment Builder, but I would also like to have the Company name and address. How can I achieve this?
    I have based my target group on a attribute list made from the infoset CRM_MKTTG_BP_PRTFUNC_REL, and made af filter on the partner function attribute.

    you have to use the BADI CRM_MKTTG_SEG_MEM_EX
    There are two methods in the class:
    IF_EX_CRM_MKTTG_SEG_MEMBER_EX~SELECT_TG_MEMBER_DETAILS_REL
    IF_EX_CRM_MKTTG_SEG_MEMBER_EX~SELECT_TG_MEMBER_DETAILS
    The first one is called in case the TG has BP's with relationsships and other one is called for BP's without relationships.
    In standard implementation, the data from BUT000 and BUT020 is picked up. This imples that the personal addresses is picked up.

    Hi Luis,
    In the HTML code that you create in Personalized mail form you have to use entities instead of regular accents. (In the Personalized mail form click on the source and edit there directly).

    Also, please ensure that the system in which you are viewing email address supports UTF-8 characters. e.g. Eudora email clients do not support UTF-8 and you will continue to get problem of junk characters where you have special characters.

    We plan to launch e-mail campaigns, but we fear that we may be tagged as a spammer.
    My best guess is to throttle down sapconnect for INT to max. 1.200 mails per hour that way the different ISP shouldn't tag us as a spammer.
    Have anyone of you had experience with that, and how did you solve it?
