Restriction of project no. in travel exps.

Hi every one in my project we are implementing travel management. so all the travel exps are mapped through trip and pr05. now whenever employee is requesting for exps in list he can see all the WBS elements so employee can put the travel exps on any project.I m looking for some userexit through which employee should see only those project which is assigned to him/her.

thats why create a  standard template for a project where the wbs for travel is fixed means.
the first few char will always keep on changing as per the new project code, but the last 1/2 digit will remain same for travel.
example...
project-1  travel is p.0001.01
project-2  travel is p.0002.01
here put the validation like below.

    Standard restriction is possible for this T code based on document type,purchasing group,purchasing org and plant.
    Others being ruled out I think solution is to restirct using purchasing group which is smaller entity.

  • Travel Expense: Error: Travel Exp already exist not possible to switch schema

    Dear Team,
    I am supporting Travel Management in one reputed company.
    User facing one issue where TRF raised by copying one old TRF, during that time Travel expense report also getting copied. It is not giving any error while raising TRF in this process, but when the user trying to raise TER for the same he is geeing error: 'Travel Expenses already exist not possible to switch schema' Kindly suggest how can I stop this. Attached is the ESS Screen.

    no. Leave that as it is. I wasn't entirely sure whether the field's value influences the TER in any way. But since it is = 1 and your TER schema collides, this is completely irrelevant. Still good to have this ruled out.
    Have you checked what I wrote concerning FITVFELD_WEB? There's a checkbox in the schema "Overlapping Trips allowed" (loosely translated from German, might not be verbatim). If it's not checked, check it and retry.
    Again though: 4 years ago, as I already stated in my earlier posts, these settings had no impact on the collision of Travel Expense Claims and coexisting TERs in the same time were not possible. I assume it is still not possible, so we're clutching at straws here.
    However. If I understood your business needs correctly, you actually do not want the expense report data/indicators to be taken into account, because you just need the copy for the Travel Request, right? There might be chances for implicit enhancements and "killing" that bit information from the copied TE-Cluster entry so it doesn't stray into the copy of the Travel Request Copy anymore.

    Hi Srinivas,
    Follow the below path:
    SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Financial Accounting (New) > Travel Management > Travel Expenses > Master Data > Travel Expense Types > Define Maximum Rates and Default Values for Expense Types.
    Maintain your rates here per expense types.
    Note that you cannot maintain per company code here, you have to maintain per Trip Provision Variant. In Travel Management, most of the settings are per trip provision variant and not per company code.

    I suggest you look at implementing the Google Map api its really easy to setup. It would save untold hours of work and you have virtually absolute control over it.  I did a custom map solution before Google API was available for Action Script and I'll never do that again.

  • Employee Travel & Expense Reporting

    I am just starting to do project prep and try to finalize scope.  I know there is a module for employee expense reports under HR but HR is not in scope at the first phase.
    Does anyone know of any other way to put in some functionality to track, record and interface into A/P for direct deposits to employee account without having the actual T&E subset?

    Hi,
    One of the ways to go about it is to use A/P functionality for this. You may create a separate account group for employees with separate number range as well & separate recon ledger.You can go on creating employee vendors who claim reimbursements. Also you can create separate GLs (e.g. Employee Travel Exp etc.) where you can post all the expenses. Payment of employee claims can be through normal A/P payment prog.

  • Issue in Directly Making payment  from bank for the exp. blong to 2 PC

    I have one scenario in which i have to make one payment for the  expenses directly and the expenses belong to 2 different Profit center and document splitting is activated at profit center level.
    Example
    Traveling Exp Ac Dr       100                Cost Center 1  -   Profit Center 1
    Traveling Exp Ac Dr       200                Cost Center 2  -   Profit Center 2 
       TO Bank      Ac Cr                  300
    System is not splitting the Bank according to Traveling Exp.
    1 Traveling Exp is having the Item category 20000 (Expense)
    2. Bank  is having the Item category 01000 (Balance Sheet Account)
    3 Document Type is SA (Business Transaction is 0000 - Unspecified posting)
    4 I also tried with KZ but it is now working.
    5.T-code F-02
    Error
    Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 003 not filled
    Client is not accepting for Making 2 different payment document.

    As per your suggestion i have crated
    1.Define Business Transaction Variants :- Copy Transaction 0000 & Create new variant Z001 and copy all Category in which Expenses and Balance Sheet is also present.
    2.Define Document Splitting Rule : -Created new Rule -- Maintained
    Splitting Method - 0000000012
    Business Transaction  : 0000
    Transaction Variant : Z002
    Item category : 20000 (Expense)
    Base item categories : 01000 (Balance Sheet Account)
    3.Classify Document Types for Document Splitting :-
    Document Type SA
    Transaction  : 0000
    Varient  : Z001
    And run the same posting but the error is same
    System is not splitting the bank amount according to Expenses.
    i.g  item category to be split based on Base item category.

  • Working with projects and albums in the browser

    I have already posted a question about how to find a project or album. If you have TONS of projects and albums how do you find a specific one in the browser? I cannot see any way to sort other than alphabetically and there is no way to search project or album names.
    By the same token, and this is my new question, how do you easily display in the viewer all the files in a project? (a project may contain albums with images that are not stored on the root level of that project, so highlighting the project in the browser does not display them). Or similarly, how do you display in the viwer the images contained in several albums? There eseems to be no way to simultaneaously selct albums or projects. You can have several tabs open but not see the images together in the viewer. In fact to make a slide show off all the images in one project you have to create an album and manually put in all the images.
    Similarly, there is no way of making a smart album of all the images in a project or determined albums, which would have been a work around for all these issues.....
    Am I missing something really obvious????????? It all seems so basic. Even iphoto lets you do these things! HELP, APPLE!!!!!!!!

    Aperture is a much more powerful software than iPhoto and it's crucial to understand the way its library works to get the most of its organization capabilities.
    Master images can only be placed (physically) inside projects. These are then image containers. An album only has links to images, and this links can go to any project. So even if an album is inside a project it could be displaying images that are not inside that project but somewhere else (if you drag and drop from other project previously).
    On the project panel, projects are display in alphabetical order, but you can also use blue folders to organize projects. My project panel is organized as follows:
    Project '1. Imports': A project created to automatically recieve all the photos when a card is inserted in my card reader. I use a hot folder with automator for this.
    Blue folder '2. Smart Albums': This blue folder has all the smart albums I need to quickly find any image in the library.
    Blue folder '3. Work': This folder has all the projects related to my work.
    Blue folder '4. Travel': Contains projects of my travel photography divided by country.
    Blue folder '5. Portrait': Contains projects of portrait sessions.
    Blue folder '6. Social & Events': Contains projects of differents events I shoot.
    Project '7. Templates': Contains photoshop templates to create 9 in 1 frames, etcetera.
    As you can see I use numbers in front of every name to keep them in the order I want. Then the metadata does the rest, I add keywords to easily find ANY image in seconds, doesn't matter how long I did it.
    A Smart album will search inside the whole Library if you create it at 'All images' level, then you can drag it to a folder to organize them if you want.
    I'd recommend the book by Ben Long and Orlando Luna, it made me squeeze all the potential of Aperture, way beyond the manual that came with the program.

  • OTL Template customization - need timecard start date in projects LOV query

    Hello Folks,
    Can anyone help me with the below requirement?
    We need to restrict the projects LOV on the seeded projects timecard so that a resource can only select the project he/she is currently assigned to. We will assign the resource as key member with start and end date. I could change the the view to restrict the projects LOV.
    The problem is customer wants a date check. At a certain date, the page should be display only the project he is assigned to. On the projects view, I have used fnd_global.employee_id to get the resource details. How do we access the current timecard start or end date in the view?

  • IDVD 6: Menu buttons don't show up from iDVD 5 project

    I have an iDVD 5 project that I opened in iDVD 6. It consists of 3 slideshows. (There was an issue with it not seeing the iPhoto 6 photos, but that's another issue I posted in the iPhoto forum.)
    The buttons that show the slideshows do not show up in iDVD 6. But if I go to map view, the slideshows show up and I can go into them and see all the slides are there and I can preview them. (Well, when it doesn't crash.)
    I tried creating new menus but those don't show up either (although, oddly enough, at one point I added a new menu and the title of one of the slideshows showed up!). This project had the Travel theme in iDVD 5.
    So in summary: the menu buttons to start the slideshows don't show up when I open the project in iDVD 6. They also don't show up in the title (main) menu when I preview it in iDVD 6. I haven't yet tried actually burning a DVD.
    Any suggestions?

    The -34506 error. Welcome to a world of frustration and wasted evenings. There are plenty of threads here with suggestions on 'rules' for setting up your slideshows in iMovie, clearing caches, creating new users etc. These have fixed this particular error for some people.

    You have to post the utilization entry, debiting the crediting the vendor (Invoice), now go to F-44 and clear both the transactions.
    Ex: Say you have given for travel 500
    Entry has to pass
    FB60-Travel Exp ac dr 500
                       To Vendor ac cr 500
    F-48-Advance to employee entry
              Vendor a/c dr 500
                          To bank ac cr 500
    F-44-Vendor Clearing
               Vendor ac dr 500
                           To Vendor ac cr 500

  • Travel Expense Amount as default

    Hi,
    I have configured 2 Travel expenses on the receipt basis and set the amount in them as default value. When selecting those 2 expenses while filling the Travel Expense Form the value is coming up but it is editable means the user can change the value set as default in them. Client wants that user should not be able to change that default value.
    How can this be done. Please let me Know.

    Hi,
    While you assign default value/maximum amount in the table, assign it twice. For first time assign amount type as "Default Value" and for second one assign amount type "Error Message for Exceeding".
    For Eg: Travel exp type PDTA - Partday travel allowance.
    Default value should be $20
    1) assign as PDTA - Dafault value                             $20
    2) assign as PDTA - Error Message for Exceeding"    $20

    My requirement is to implement Project specific Authorization means I want to restrict users to access other projects running in the same plant..Suppose there are four projects A, B, C and D..now there will be four project managers and four teams as well. Now our Client wants that the member of one project could not access the things of other projects...now SAP has given standards only for transaction authorization one can be restricted to access a particular transac but how to restricts at project level.....suppose project manager of project A having a access of CJ2B now he can open any  of the project so we need to configure the users in such a way that he can only able to open his project..the moment he tries to open some other project to which he not assigned the system should give him error message like " you are not authorized to access this project."
    hope I am able to clarify the requirement please give your feedback and solution for this...

       Yah..U can do.
    In T.code PFCG, under authorization object S_PROJECT, assign your project in "Project name" field.
    Then go to t.code SU01, enter the user ID to whom u want to restrict the project. Then select "Personalisation" tab, in this u can find entry "SOLAR_SETTINGS" under personalisation object key, doule click there...new window appears, in this window , in the field.."Initial project" assign your project.
    This may help u.
