How we process parts return to vendor  in DBM warranty Claim Process.
We need to send back to these materail refeening Warranty/ DBM order.

I am facing another problem, In service order processing- if i use Warranty/Recall Process, system in not creating Billing Document.Even Push botton Create billing is not appearing.
I am unable to bill non warranty/returnable items.
The push button appearing only if i split the items for internal workshop -doc-type and system creating billing document only for those items.
If i check proforma invoice, it is working fine
How to solve?

    I have a senario, in which when the customer claims warranty of certain parts, delears send those parts to OEM are closely monitored by the OEM.
    It checks for three possibilities
    1. vendors sends defective parts.
    2. OEM producess poor quality goods
    3. parts are working fine and returned back to customer.
    it also checks for reconditioning those parts and replacing if procument of part take loge time.
    based on the results the decisions are taken wether to debit vendor,or debit dealer or debit OEM.
    my question is
    how is this senario configured or handled.

    There are a lot of factors involved in warranties. I'm going to close this topic just for now, and come back to it later today (or in a few days at the most).

  • Read from file, compare string and return a part

    Hello, is there a reasonable good way to read text file containing information, and if string comparison is successfull, return a nother part of the string.
    What i have done so far:
    set file_name to (path to desktop as text) & "filename.txt"
    set F to open for access tiedosto with write permission
    set file_information to (read F)
    close access F
    (i will be moving this to Application Support/Appname/ when i figure it out).
    The data in the file is in following format

    What im stuck now is:
    I need to compare each line the 10 numbers with search string, if match is found, the name part should be returned.
    Any idea's?

    You already read in the text file, so you need to put the data thru a repeat loop:
    repeat with name_part in paragraphs of file_information
    -- ((character 1 thru 10 of name_part) as string) is the first 10 digits of name part
    if ((character 1 thru 10 of name_part) as string) is search_string then return name_part
    end

  • Identify in warranty parts in service order

    Hi Gurus,
    In the service order, there are 5 components out of which 2 are in warranty which means this 2 should not be billed to customer. Also we need a report from system to identify the warranty spare parts consumption.
    From the service order, can we identify that those 2 components are in warranty and 3 components are out of warranty? If Yes, how?

    Hi Smart,
    I dont think this can be done in standard, as i informed earlier, you can maintain outline agreement / contract to get a message.
    Or check if the component can be linked with equipment / serial number, so warranty can be maintained in the equipment.
    But there is no direct method, to send info to customer, it needs to be customized.
    You can also wait for other experts, who might have done similar functionality.

  • Returning Purchase parts directly delivered to a subcontractor?

    We have had parts directly delivered to our subcontrator and the PO line has been set as SC Vendor. The parts were found defective on the production line and need to be returned to the vendor for resupply. The process we were told to use was to transfer the parts back to our stock from subcontractor stock.  I am trying to reverse P.O 146601 of part # 1010401 x 5000 to process NCR 6487 in MB01. I am having difficulty in doing so. SAP tells me that I have a deficit of 2157 even though there is 5000 in location, plant 2100. Should we use a different process for returning subcontractor stock to the vendor?

    use return delivery option in MIGO.
    This option is made for return material to vendor.
    Movemnt type 122 will hit against that of 101.

  • Help to return a part

    I am totally frustrated with the ordering process at HP.  I called to order a printer head replacement and was assured I was getting the right part.  It arrived.  It is not.  I have tried email, chat and calling to find out how to return it and if I can get the correct part and have spent 3+ hours and still no resolution. I am heading to Staples to buy a new printer - NOT an HP!!

  • Returning damage parts should not effect costing

    Hi
    I have creared one maintenance Order. I issued one spare material like bearing through the order. Actual cost on the order is Rs 200.
    Now I want to return the damaged spare i.e. bearing to the store.  If I do this through the same order, cost comes Rs-200.
    the total cost of order becomes Rs 0.
    I want that when I return that damaged spare to store it should not have any implication on the  actual cost of the order .
    Is it possible w/o using valuation type for the material?
    The tick (Not relevant to costing) in the general Data of component tab can be used for this? Though I checked it didnt had any control on the actual cost.

    while returning the damaged spares post the same in non-valuated stock or spares stock and this will not have any effect on your actual costs

  • Query on OM to tie SV # (warranty items) to their relative part numbers

    Query on Order Management that joins the warranty part number ties it to the warrantied part
    Problem Description:     Using Apps 11.5.9
    Need to take the attached code, add the fullfillment set from OM/Line Items/ Shipping tab, and tie the Warranty Part #, (identified by first two characters SV) to the part number (identified as FGA, TLA, etc...) it is associated with and return this on one line. I would need to do this for each item that has shipped and is under warranty, and exclud non-warranty items. I believe I would use Union to create a place holder for the SV #, but not sure how I would associate the SV to the FGA etc... using the fullfillment set and not get all lines of the order returned. Currently the code returns the shippable items, our FGA, TLA etc... and the SV-. SV is not a shippable item which do not ship off but have a fullfillment date rather then a shipment date.
    Best guess that I have to write this is to say in second part of Union is where fullfillment set not null select ordered item where ordered item like SV- . And on first part of Union ignore lines where ordered item <> SV- to prevent SV lines from being returned, but wrapping them into the same line as the part number they are related to and under warranty. I am attaching the code I am going to use to create a union from, I have not written the select for the Fullfillment set.

    I guess the way order entered goes like this:
    1. You enter an order line for the part number (FGA). This is shippable
    2. You enter another line for warranty item..This is not shippable but only fulfilled. Since the first line is tied to this line, you are using fulfillment sets to satisfy the fact that only when part line is shipped you want to close this line.
    3. And you are looking for a query to join these two lines and show them in online.
    Is that correct?
    First in your query, found this:
    and ool.line_type_id = oolb.line_id. Guess this (sorry to Say) wrong.
    you can get the links for lines and fulfllment sets from oe_sets and oe_line_sets to get the link between two.

  • Returning attributes as part of session attributes

    My understanding is that any LDAP attribute can be returned as part of the session attributes defined in the AMagents.Properties file. Two questions:
    1) if the attribute is already mapped in the profile attributes section, can the same LDAP attribute be mapped again with another mapping value?
    e.g.
    com.sun.identity.agents.config.profile.attribute.mapping[uid]=mapping1
    com.sun.identity.agents.config.profile.attribute.mapping[uid]=mapping2
    2) if the attribute is already mapped in the profile attributes section, can the same LDAP attribute be mapped again under the session attributes section of AMagent.Properties (assuming LDAP attributes are allowable for return as part of the session?)

    Yes you can, but i dont know why you would like to do that.

    Yes you can
    You can also set them as a dynamic Response and even that should work.

    Sorry all,I forgot about this forum in my long adventure w/hp ...Thank you, to those that replied !!!!
    I finally got the part from HP; the problem is that they expect a return, defective part when you order this (under warranty) so the part is restricted from sale on the retail side... as they explained to me!
    The part numbers they used to order the parts ("brick" and a separate cord) are as follows:
    Note: the "cord" is a typical PC power cord; if you have a spare one dont spend bother spending the extra $23.( I found three of them in my old parts box after i paid for one from HP...go figure)

  • Returns free PO.

    Hi,
    I have a scenario, ie i am supposed to send back some of the components ie customer returned defective parts ( which have been failed within the warranty period ).
    So i will be processing a returns PO followed by a return delivery in order to wipe out my stock level. After which i wont be creating any credit memo towards my vendor. So no IR is involved in it.
    In order to achieve this, i had created a returns po with returns indication and free indication. At this time, i am getting an error that with GR-based invoice verification please enter GR and IR indicators.
    When i select IR indicator, the Free indicator automatically gets deactivated.
    But i want to process this order with GR, returns and free indicator.
    How to proceed? Please suggest.

                    I tried the scenario that u had asked . It worked fine .
               Remove the GR based IV indicator in the PO for each item in "Invoice" tab .
                     This should solve your problem.

  • Return it or don't return it - faulty cable

    I've had a cable swapped out (for the 2nd time) as it burned out. The Apple site says I must return the faulty cable or I'll get charged. They've also given a returns label.
    However, inside the package I received is a piece of paper that says 'Don't return this hardware', or something like that.
    Why? And what should I do? I guess I can't do anything with the faulty cable, but it seems to me that if there's some fundamental problem with the electronics on my iPod causing burn-outs, I'd like to hold on to some of the evidence since I'm going to be annoyed when warranty lapses and they charge me every time it burns out.

    They don't always want back the faulty parts.
    The note probably does say to not return ANY parts.
    I had my headphones replaced and it said NOT to return any faulty parts that were replaced.
    They started asking for them back to keep people from simply getting "spares" when there was really nothing wrong in the first place.

    We are in the process of designing Warranty parts handling solution for a Passenger Rail company .
    Need inputs to design this Vendor Warranty process in SAP.
    Here are major steps in Current legacy system that we need to consider for designing this end to end process in SAP
    1.The Client receives Parts (with serial number) from External Vendor with Warranty.
    2.The Warranty Information is maintained with validity periods, serial numbers, vendor number, expiration etc for received parts.
    3.If the parts Fail during operations, Part return transaction is executed which checks in background for Valid warranty information related to serial numbers and creates Warranty Claim. Warranty Claim is communicated via fax or phone to Vendors.
    4.Warranty Purchase order referencing to warranty claim with zero price is created and parts are shipped to Vendor for replacement along with warranty PO.
    5.Vendor delivers parts covered under warranty & parts are received in system against warranty Purchase order no.
    What would be the best possible way to address this with SAP warranty management functionalities under SAP PM/ CS modules (Master warranty/ Warranty claim processing etc)?
    Any inputs or experiences on similar type Warranty process handling in SAP will be really helpful. Looking  forward to get your best inputs on this.
