    Hi all,
We have a input tax code for service tax whiich is used for both PO/MIRO and FI entries(FB60).....which is maintained at tax classification level.......now i want to know how the system calculates service tax in case of FB60 (FI)entries based on tax code which i  understand is a reverse calculation? FOR eg-
    Expense-9075
    Vendor-10000
    ST basic-898
    ST Ecess-18
    ST S&H-9

    Hi,
the system calculates the tax from the gross amount   and deduct it from the gros amount and comes so to the net amount.

  • Calculation of Tax Amount in FB60

    Hi Guru's,
Here Tax Procedure is TAXINN in which I have maintain Tax Code V9 as 14.42% (EXCISE+CESS) + 12.5% (VAT) in FV11. So while doing MIRO I select V9 Tax code then automatically Tax amount is calculated.
My question is can same can done in FB60. Means can Tax amount can automatically calculated in FB60 when I selecting V9 as Tax Code which was calculated in MIRO.
I needed for transaction without Purchase Order.
    Right answer will be rewarded.
    Regards
    Amit

    Thnks for reply.
I have already done the customization in OB40 but when i do invoice posting in FB60 then error shows "Tax Code V9 does not exist in TAXINN".
But since in MIRO same Tax code get posted with same vendor.
    Pls help me.

  • Wrong Calculation of Tax Amount

    Hi to All,
While making Down Payment Request (F-47) with reference capital PO, system is showing a warning message as below:
Tax entered incorrect (code FU, amount      45,766.25), correct      36,882.24 INR
    Message no. FF707
    Diagnosis
The system checks the tax amounts for each code on document level. However, the amounts entered deviate more from the amount calculated (using the percentage rates defined in the tax code) than is allowed considering rounding errors.
    Procedure
If this message is a warning message, you can confirm that your entry is correct by pressing "Continue".
If this message is an error message, you should correct the tax amounts or the base amounts, depending on how your tax code is defined.
For more clarity: whatever the tax code is in PO same tax code giving in F-47. But in both scenarios system calculating differently.
what could be the reason? Please guide me?
    Regards,
    Schilukuri

    Hi SDNer,
    Thanks for your reply.
As you said, In PO system does not calculate tax based on the tax code,it will calculate based on the pricing procedure.
Now my doubt is whatever the tax amount is showing in PO that we need to enter in to F-47,But here system is showing
(Tax entered incorrect (code FU, amount      45,766.25), correct      36,882.24 INR).
Now what should I do? Please help me on this..

  • Disable auto-calculation of tax amount by Autoinvoices to import AR Invoice

    Hi all,
I am using ra_interface_lines_all to do AR Invoices conversion to Oracle R12. My legacy invoices data contains tax amount and some of the invoices do not have any tax. Autoinvoice auto-calculated tax information during import even for those invoices that have no tax.
I checked my AR interface record and made sure none of the tax-related columns (e.g. tax_code, tax_amount, etc) are populated. I also checked the AR transaction source for conversion and make sure tax-calculation flag is not set.
Basically I need to set the tax amounts manually instead of letting the system to derive it. Some suggested to set tax_exempt_flag to "E". I tried but Autoinvoice complained that I need to have tax reason and besides I have many invoices that have tax amounts.
Any suggestions on disable the auto-calculation of tax?
    Thanks! Mike

    Hi Mike,
U r using transaction types to generate your distributions, right?
Try to insert distribution info for each of your invoices in the table ra_interface_distributions_all, specifying REC, REV and TAX (tax where applicable) lines.
Hope this will solve your prob.

I am facing a problem with SHECess which is implemented in recent budget changes in INDIA through SAP Notes. My problem is that when I made PO all duties and other taxes are calculated  and showing correctly in PO as well as in Print Preview in PO.
But when I am trying to post the MIRO the system is not taking in to account the SHECess and also SHECess on CST.I checked several times but the results is the same. This is happening only for Depot Purchases for goods procured locally.
Plz help me if any one encounters this situation and give me the solution as early as possible becz it is utmost very urgent.

    Hi,
Check condition type for Secondary education cess is there  in following path where you specify which condition type is used for which sort of tax, if not add with tax procedure
SPRO --> Logistics general > tax on Goods Movements> India >  Classify Condition>Condition-Based Excise Determination Types
Also check TAX Procedure in t.code: OBYZ  & see condition type for Secondary education cess is there   with all condition types and all are placed with a logic to calculate taxes with total price.

  • Updation of tax amount via FM IDOC_INBOUND_SINGLE

    Hi All,
I am having a requirement in which I am using a custom function module to create and post an IDOC. The program is taking data from flat file and passing it to the function module IDOC_INBOUND_SINGLE which calls a BAPI BAPI_ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT_POST to post the IDOC.
For posting IDOCS, IDOC type ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT03 is being used.
The IDOC, if posted successfully update data in BSET table. But the posting is not updating the 'Tax in local currency' (HWSTE) field in BSAT table.
It seems it is not calculating the Tax amount.
I am passing the tax code and the total amount to the IDOC. I wanted to know whether the FM IDOC_INBOUND_SINGLE internally calculate the tax amount (Tax code gives the tax percentage and the total amount is being passed by me)
Also in the IDOC type ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT03 there is no segment in which there is a field for Tax amount to be passed.
Please help me as to how the tax amount will reflect in the BSAT table.
    Thanks in advance.
    regards,
    gaurav

that is really weird! You can try one more thing.. See if you can create more than one Address with subty 1 ie infotype 0006 subty 1 for an employee in PA30. If the system allows it, the problem is not with the BAPI..but with the Time Constraints..

This is an set-up error in your system and no SAP system error!!!

Financial Accounting / Financial Accounting Global Settings /  Company Code / Enter Global Parameters
Look to the field Tax base is net value:
If you click on help you get the following help text:
Indicator: Base amount for tax is net of discount ?
Indicator that causes the base amount for the calculation of sales tax to be reduced by the discount share.
    Dependencies
The rule used to determine the base amount for the calculation of sales tax is subject to the relevant country legislation. Either the company code table or the jurisdiction code table is used for control purposes.
If the jurisdiction code is used for tax calculation, the entries in the company code table are not valid. Control then takes place at the highest level of the definition of the jurisdiction code. This method of tax calculation is used in America, for example.
    Example
In Great Britain, the base amount for sales tax is the invoice amount less the agreed discount.
    Note
If the tax base amount is net, the net value also has to be chosen as the discount base.
Exception: If tax is calculated using the jurisdiction code (USA), the combination 'Net tax base' and 'Gross discount base' is also permitted, however, no tax adjustment is made for payment with a discount deduction.
    Example
In the following an example is given for each possible combination. In each case, the material value is 100.00, the possible discount percentage 3.00 %, and the tax percentage 10.00 %.
    1) Gross tax base, Gross discount base
       Tax base 100.00       ==> Tax amount   10.00
       Possible discount amount (3.00 % of 110.00)   3.30
       Invoice amount 110.00
    2) Gross tax base, Net discount base
       Tax base 100.00       ==> Tax amount   10.00
       Possible discount amount (3.00 % of 100.00)   3.00
       Invoice amount 110.00
    3) Net tax base,  Net discount base
       Tax base  97.00       ==> Tax amount    9.70
       (Tax base = Value of goods - Possible discount = 100.00 - 3.00)
       Possible discount amount (3.00 % of 100.00)   3.00

  • Miro service tax amount is calculating wrongly for particular materials for import PO

    Dear All,
I have created import PO with three vendors like foreign vendor, customs duty vendor & Clearing Agent vendor.
After creating PO with all conditions the PO is posted and MIGO is done.
While doing MIRO there is no problem for foreign vendor and customs duty vendor (there is no service tax applicable for both)
While doing MIRO for Clearing agent vendor, we have to calculate service tax for 12.36 %.
The service tax is properly maintained in the system and its calculating correctly for all other PO's except this PO.
This particular PO has 32 materials.the values are flowing correctly from PO to MIRO but while calculating service  tax the tax value is higher than the exact value.
When we do MIRO for same clearing agent with different material the service tax is calculating correctly. But if we use particular materials  with same clearing agent vendor the tax amount is not calculating correctly
    For example:
    for Item 10
The value is 1062.72 & 12.36 to be calculated on this value.
The actual tax value is 131.35 but in MIRO its showing as 171.90. The same problem is happening with all other 31 materials.
The Info record is not maintained for all the materials. On what basis should we check for the above issue. Kindly help with your valuable inputs.
    Kindly refer the screenshot.
    Thanks & Regards
    Subbu

    Hi Ajith,
    Please find the screenshot below
But for same vendor with different material in another PO the tax is calculating correctly
    9050* 12.36 = 1118. 58
For this the tax is exactly calculating as 1118.58

  • Tax procedure for VAT calculation on Base amount + WHT amount

    Hi All,
Needed your inputs on definition of tax procedure, to calculate VAT tax where base amount + withholding tax amount are tax base components.
    E.g. in AR line item:
Revenue:  950 (FB70 ->Editing options:  calculate taxes on net amount check box is enabled)
         WHT: 50 (5%) (Re-grossing method using)
         VAT: 70 (7%)
To achieve as above how to define tax procedure: current procedure definition as below.
    StepCounter-Ctyp----Description-From--To
    100--0---     -BASB--Base Amount
    117--0---     -J1W1Output Tax----100
    118--0MWS1-Subtotal--100----117
    120--0---     -MWASOutput Tax------118
Please through some light on this.

  • Additional offset tax line after manual change of calculated tax amount

    Dear all,
    I have the following problem:
if I manually change the calculated tax amount of a domestic AP invoice in r12 the system generates a second tax line as an offset tax so that the total tax is zero. The system does this even so the respective flag is not set for this supplier. I can only stop this by erasing the link between standard tax and offset tax which is not a permanent option.
    Kind regards
    Carsten

You can uncheck the Auto Tax Calculation check box in E Business tax module which will ensure that automatic tax calculation will not be done.
Once the above checkbox is unchecked, you keyed an invoice by entering all the required details click on the Calculate tax button which will perform the tax calculation for your invoice.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Tax amounts calculating wrong

    Dear Experts,
I am using tax code (ZS) with 10%, 2% and 1%.
when i am posting FB60 by using this tax code its calculating tax amounts wrongly.
For example i am posting Rs.20000/-
    when system has to calculate..
    Vendor Cr                         20,000/-
    Expense Dr                      17,940/-
Sevice tax On OH Dr          2,000/-
    ECS on OH   Dr                     40/-
    SEC on OH   Dr                     20/-
    But Systm Calculating like below..
    Vendor Cr                         20,000.00
    Expense Dr                      18,132.37
    Sevice tax On OH               1,813.24
    ECS on OH                             36.26
    SEC on OH                            18.13
    Plese help on this issue...

    Dear Anil
Kindly note that Tax will always be created on Amount Exclusive of Tax. Let me explain with an example.
The form of invoice would be in the following form :
Expense of Service Recd                      20000 (Excl of Tax)
    Add : Serv Tax @10%                            2000
    Add : Ecess & SHCess                             60
Total Invoice Amt.                                22060 (Incl of Tax)
Thus if you enter Against Expense 20000 as net invoice amount  in FB60
then following entry will be generated :
    Exp .....                               Dr.  20000
    Serv Tax                              Dr.    2000
    Ecess & SHcess                  Dr.      60
    To     Vendor                              22060
But if you choose Expense 20000 as gross amount invoice in FB60
    Exp .....                               Dr.  18,132.37
    Serv Tax                              Dr.   1,813.24
    Ecess & SHcess                  Dr.      54.39
    To     Vendor                              20,000.00
Hope it provide you better picture about Tax Calculation

  • Tax amount calculation

    Hi,
Can some one help me to explain how the tax amount is calculated.
I have a tax procedure assigned to my country. I created a input tax code.
Now i used this tax code while creating a PO i entered the tax code.
How the system determine the base amount for BASB condition type to calculate tax?? Will it take from the PO ??
    regards
    raghu ram
Edited by: Raghu Ram Thatavarthy on Jun 23, 2009 12:17 PM

    Hi
In the Tax codes, you would have attached the percentage to the account keys, which has the condition types attached to it. In the PO pricing procedure, the basis for calculation of the Tax would be available ie on what value tax needs to be calculated against the condition type. Account key can be seen against the Condition types. and from the tax codes percentages are taken and taxes derived.
