Reverting USER FORMS back to "Empty" or "Default Page"

Hi all,
I could really use some help with my situation here.
I have designed my User Form in such a way that it handles *"Employee Recruitment"* Process in an easy and straightforward way.
My User Form has two main Tabs : *"Employee Joining the Company"* and *"Employee Leaving the Company"*.
In other words : IN and OUT process.
The first tab is used to Create the Employee "file", and also update his current Status (if any thing changes while he is employed by the company).
The second tab deals with his Leaving the company (if he either resigns, or is kicked out).
So far, so good.
However, sometimes, an employee is hired only on a "Temporary" basis. Meaning, a "fixed-term" contract. So, when his contract is up, he leaves the company.
But, what if he decides to COME BACK (or, if he is again re-hired by the company)?
To make it easier, we do not delete any employee's records from our IDM system (even after he has left the company). So, if he ever returns to work, his "*username"* is still in the IDM system, and can be revived.
But.............therein lies the problem. If an employee returns, we need to initiate an entirely new CREATE process for him.
Also, if he leaves the company again (for the second time), this requires a new OUT process.
(a) Is it possible to initiate a new CREATE-process for a user, whose "username" already exists in IDM? In other words, he has already been "created";
How could I "erase" the previous "Employee IN" User Form, and re-input everything with a fresh, empty form?
(b) similarly, how can I "erase" everything from the OUT-form?
In a nutshell : is there anyway to revert BACK to an empty User Form (default field values (zero)) ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, this is true. Our IDM system is linked to other Resources (particularly Active Directory and LDAP). Naturally, when a user's account is DISABLED in IDM, this will also disable all accounts and access-rights in other systems.

This is the part that interests me the most. Because : I need the User Form to be "RESET".............in other words, all attributes set back to Default (a fresh, empty form), so the CREATE and UPDATE processes can begin afresh.
Please, could you specify how I could do this?

  • My home page will not stay saved,it keeps going back to the firefox default page

    After I've saved my home page(yahoo.com)there will be no problem until my laptop either is turned off or restarted. After I turn on my laptop when I connect to the internet, my home page is changed from yahoo.com to the firefox default almost like if I just updated firefox.And I'm getting tired of having to change my home page back every time I turn my laptop on.

  • UCM 10g - default page after login - using port 80 instead of 443

    Hi,
    We have old instance of UCM 10g, which we have to move to new servers. I made the filesystem move + configuration of IIS (we use IIS as webserver).
    We use clustered mode - 2 UCM application servers, 2 IIS servers. We have a load balancers for IIS servers and a load balancer for UCM app servers. IIS itself listens on pure http 80 port. We access UCM via dns name which is resolved as a loadbalancer for IIS IP address. This loadbalancer forwards pure http (80) to IIS servers.
    Everything works for me except on thing: Once user log in, there should be default page displayed, where simple search form appears. There I am getting:
    "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at ucm.our.domain:80."
    I do not know why does it use port 80. Once I am logged in, when I click "Home" Link then the simple search screen appears correctly. So the problem is only with page displayed after log in.
    I am tired for reading config files, trying to change/add some parameter and I am stuck here.
    I would really appreciate some help. Any ideas from anybody?

  • OIM 11GR2 - mechanism for restoring default adf user forms - create user

    Hi All
    Our developers has pubkished multiple OIM sandbox and create user form is broken
    : the user creation form does not appear - only a html <div> tag .
    The developer reverted the form using the em/console - then he ran the catalog sync job but all he can acheive is a blank form not the original user create forms
    How do we restore the forms to thier original state.

    Not sure if this helps. But try these steps mentioned in the developer's guide. Once I did some UI customization in identity console and could not load my page after that. I followed these steps and was successfully able to restore it back. You can give a try and in step 6 try to select some known sandbox name which did not have any issues.
    1. Login to Oracle Enterprise Manager.
    2. In Application Deployments, select oracle.iam.ui.console.self-service.ear.
    3. On the top-right of the page, select Application Deployment, and then select MDS Configuration from the list.
    4. At the bottom of the screen, select Runtime MBean Browser under the Advanced Configuration section. The right side of the screen refreshes.
    5. Click the Operations tab.
    6. Scroll down and identify the listMetadataLabels MBean operation and invoke it. Select the MBean operation that does not take any parameters. Select the sandbox precreate that you want to restore, and copy it to the clipboard.
    For example, the value you copy can be similar to: Creation_IdM_test_09:25:00.
    7. Click Return to go back to the Operation tab.
    8. Find the promoteMetadataLabel MBean operation.
    9. Invoke the promoteMetadataLabel MBean operation, and enter the value that you copied in step 6.
    10. Restart Oracle Identity Manager.

  • Remove DEFAULT BUTTONS from User Form

    Hi.
    At the bottom of the Create User Form are 6 standard buttons :
    SAVE..........BACKGROUND SAVE..........CANCEL..........RECALCULATE............TEST..........LOAD
    I would like to remove some of them.
    How do I do this?
    P. S. I am aware of the "*noDefaultButtons='true'"* command. This is not what I want. I would like the default buttons to remain. For instance : SAVE and CANCEL.
    I just wish to remove others.

    The code for the default buttons are not likely to be found in a form but rather defined within the java code embedded in the jars.
    Regarding the definition of the other buttons you are unfortunately digging into areas of Sun IDM that are not very well documented.

    The difference between the background save and a regular save (as you noted), from what I'm guessing since it's not well documented, is the definition of the processInputs.backgroundProvisioning in the field name. (Most buttons don't have field names since they don't need to push data back into the user view.) It's being set to "true" but the command is the regular "Save" button command. (The save button command instructs IDM to process the changes WITH form validation as opposed to SaveNoValidate.)
    This means that when the button is clicked the user view is being updated with the processInputs.backgroundProvisioning option set to true. Obviously IDM uses that flag to process the user view differently.
    Again, how and why that is used is not well documented. The only references I can find is in the ViewConstants and UserViewConstants classes in the javadocs but there's really no explanation about the use of the backgroundProvisioning variable.
    This is easily my biggest complaint about IDM. The options you need to customize the product aren't exposed properly to a developer. Sorry I can't be of more help. You've run into the same brick wall many of us have.

  • With recent update of Firefox, I can no longer set the default page, it always reverts back to the Mozilla page, why?

    Why can I no longer set the default page to something else? Every time I open Mozilla Firefox, it always reverts back to the Mozilla page. No matter how many times I do this, it always reverts.

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Modifying default tabbed user form

    I want to prevent a particular attribute from showing up in the default tabbed user form. I still want the attribute to exist and I do not want it to be secret, I just don't want to see it show up at all. Any ideas on how to do this? I am using IDM 7.1.

    Here is a sample code, which I have used in some of my codings

    Hi Fran,
    Its quite simple, all you have to do is, to create a form using Screen Painter, the columns should be db data source bound and then, assign UDO for the same.  It will work fine.

  • Issue where the cart is empty when user logs back in

    Having issue where the cart is empty when user logs back in
    Steps:
    1. User logs into the site
    2. User selects items and the cart is updated
    3. User logs out of their account
    4. User exits/closes the browsers
    5. User then reopens the browser, navigates to the site, logs in and the cart is empty
    My understanding is that the cart should be populated with the previous items since the user did not complete the order.
    I have the following settings:

    Observateion:
    If an anonymous user comes to the site, adds items to the cart, leaves the site and comes back - the cart is empty - the order repository is not updated
    If a user logs into the site, adds items to the cart and then exits the browser (does not log out), comes back to the site, the selected items are in the cart
    If a usr logs into the site, adds items to the cart, logs out of the site, exits the browser, comes back to the site, the selected items are not in the cart
    An order does not get presisted to the repository until the order is confirmed.
    Based on the last item that explains why the user is not seeing any anything in their cart when they log out. If they do not log out, I assume then that the content of their cart is stored in the cookie.
    So, now the question is - why is this happening - I am not the original author of the site - just trying to get some things fixed on it.

    I created a static form in LiveCycle.  I want the PDF form back with the data filled in (not just the data) when the user completes the form. How do I do this?

    You need to put a submit button on your form. Then in the submit tab choose the Submit As option to be PDF instead of XDP data file.
    Then you will have to Reader Extend the form to allow for a local save. You can do this in Acrobat under the Advanced/Extend Features in Adobe Reader menu option. Once this is done save the file and distribute the saved version.

Instead, a new page opens, where you can review the changes you made, to ensure that they are correct. In fact, at the bottom of this new page, there are 4 standard buttons : SAVE...........RETURN TO EDIT............CANCEL
    This is a very good system, because it allows you to check your entries, and make sure they are correct, before pressing SAVE again to submit.
    However, the "Create User" form does not have this same arrangement.
    Is there any way to customize the Form, so that, when creating a User, and you press SAVE, a "check-page" first shows up (just like when updating/editing a user) ?

  • How to clear text fields when the user navigates back to the screen

    Hi,
    Does anyone have any idea on how to clear the text input fields and dropdown boxes when the user navigates back to the screen, say for e.g. create screen?
    My issue is that i have plenty of fields in the create screen within a form. Is there a way to avoid programaticaly blanking out every field and just do it at the form level using an api to reset to a state before the user entry?

    This code allows you to make it more generic, and you would need to tweak it if there are more than TextInput controls, but it should provide some ideas.
    As far as using states, you could use SetProperty to set the text to empty, but that might be messier.

  • OIM 11gR2 Add combo box UDF on Create User Form

    Hi.
    We have created a new UDF on user form. It is a lookup field and has the following lookup associated: "Lookup.Users.Continente"
    "Lookup.Users.Continente" has two values, both of them checked as Enabled.
    From the form designer all the values are displayed when selecting one default value so it is reading correctly from the lookup.
    We published the sandbox after this.
    Then we created a new sandbox and tried to add that field to the Create User Page. We went to "Create User Page", customize it and add content from "Data Component - Catalog" -> "userVO" -> Select the UDF, clicked on "Add" and selected "ADF Select One Choice".
    A new combobox is added but no values are shown. We have plublished the sandbox, restarted OIM, purged cache, etc... but it still shows an empty combo box. We have also tried adding it as "ADF Input List of values" but it does not add the field to the create user page.
    Any ideas of what are we doing wrong?
    The idea is very simple, just create a field with the same behaviour as, for example,  "User Type" field. A combobox that displays the enabled values from a lookup...
    We have also tried creating the UDF cheking the searchable option, searchable picklist and all the possible combinations.
