Rework Orders-- help please

Hi all
I'm trying to settle rework orders to the original(parent) order and it wouldn't settle.
Can someone pls clearly explain in detail how the settlement of rework orders is done including the menu path..please..?
I've created a settlement cost element(type 21) for this purpose. Created a new allocation structure(not sure about the assignment, source etc inside it), assigned it to a new settlment profile. Also created a new order type for the same and assigned the settlement profile to this order type.

I've created a new settlement cost element of type 21 and assigned under the sub dialog 'Settlement Cost Elements'. I've given the Receiver category as ORD as the receiver is a production order.
I'm not sure about what to be given under the source sub dialog. Can I put in cost element group that is already existing as part of the main settlement group.
Also my doubt is after settling the child order to the parent, if I allocate overheads for the parent, would it also allocate the overheads for the labour cost settled from the rework order?
The whole thing looks bit hazy for me, can you be bit more clear on this pls.

Cancelled phone line order help please

Where do I start.
I ordered telephone broadband and vision on the 4 october was told it would be installed on 28 october but nothing so rang customer services and was told it had been cancelled and would be reordered and I would recive a phone call on the 29th oct, nothing so rang again saturday morning.
I was put through to 3 different departments and gagain was told it was cancelled and to be told again it would be reordered and I would get a call by monday 1st november.
As you guessed nothing until I emailed customer services got a call saying the samething yet again.
After some more toing and frowing I have a call today telling me I have to re-place the order and was offered to be put through to sales and then cut off. I have spent so much time on my mobile I cant ring back as I have no more credit.
The best thing is on my so called activation date all the relevant equipment was deleverd and my next door nabour ordered there line a week after me and installed brfore me.
Not even a reason given as to why it was cancelled
Im loosing the plot not.
Please can anyone help

Goods issue to Rework Order

I am creating rework order with CO07 and givind settelement rule as Original order.
Right now the extra material required for rework order i am issuing to oroginal order as unplanned issue.
Can i issue material to rework order. I have tried and cost wise both the processes are giving same results but i have doubt that is it a standard process to issue the material against rework order.

Both processes work well. But, it is good practice to issue components to rework order so that you can track all rework costs, rework history and also prioritize the issue of components.
In our company, we prefer issuing components to rework orders first. We give second preference to standard orders.
This helps decentralize our reporting and control over all production orders.

From the meaning of salvage, i think, this might refer to a co-product.
<b>Co-product:</b>
When products of one process are used in other processes or products; and when an item is disassembled, salvaged or cut. Processes involving co-products are common to many manufacturers, including integrated circuit chip makers, meat cutters, petroleum refineries etc.
Co-product components frequently occur when reverse manufacturing results in usable products. For example, an engine disassembly operation results in parts, which are then used to rebuild engines.
<b>Re-work order:</b>
This is used to do a repair work or correct the defects in a part, that is manufactured already. you can use trigger points & reference operation set to create a rework order.

Problem while creating a new internal order. Please help! URGENT!!!

After creating internal orders the currency and cost center fields under control data tab are getting greyed out when I check it via KO02 transaction. The order status is "REL". This in turn is not allowing me to change currency and cost center via KO02. What could be the problem? Why these control data fields are getting greyed out or disabled? Is there any configuration problem? Kindly help ASAP!
Actually I am creating the order via XI. The input order data is coming from a .Net application which sends the data to XI via webservice call. The XI then uses RFC BAPI "BAPI_INTERNALORDER_CREATE" to create the internal order in R/3 system.

Hi Gopal,
This is based on your configuration on ERP. You have to talk to your functional consultant to get the right order type and right configuration for same.

Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

As Terence Devlin said, the upgrade to Mavericks is free at the AppStore. Open the first tab at the AppStore (Featured) and you can buy it for free, if your Mac can be upgraded to Mavericks.
But before you do that, check the applications you need to use for compatibility with Mavericks, for example at Roaring Apps: http://roaringapps.com/apps?index=a
PowerPC applications can no longer run on Mavericks, some device drivers may not be available as Mavericks compatible versions.
To prepare for the update take these precautions:
Make a full backup of your mac, including the applications libraries. In addition to the TimeMachine backup a bootable clone is very useful, since it enables you to revert easily to the old system.
Update all applications to there latest version, thatare available on Snowleopard.
If you find, that the Mavericks upgrade would make too many applications redundant, consider Terence Devlin's second option to buy the boxed iLife version.

My MacBook Pro encounters an error when partitioning for loading windows using Bootcamp Assistant. I deleted the partition that was there in order to upgrade to Bootcamp 5 but now I am struggling to get Bootcamp 5 to complete the job. Help please.

I am struggling to Partition my MacBook Pro using Bootcamp 5, can someone help, please. I previously had successfully loaded Windows 7 running Bootcamp 4 on the same machine. When I upgraded to Windows 8 I started encountering problems. My trackpad would not work and it required me to load Bootcamp 5" as I was running 32 bit this is not supported by Bootcamp 5 I had to completely delete the previous partition, but now I can't repartition as it goes halfway and says an error has been encountered and Bootcamp cannot partition this drive.
I do not know how to defragment the drive in Apple as I can in windows nor can I clean it up to maybe get everything in neat clusters, maybe somebody can help me solve this problem.

Sorry Bobthefisherman, this was not helpful. I had already gone through these pages before coming to you. What I have discovered however is that when Bootcamp Assistant deleted the partition, it did not create a single volume but created three partitions instead which maybe the reason why it cannot create the new part ion parameters I am asking it crate. So I took it to the geniuses at Apple who suggested that I reformat the drive and reload everything again! and this might solve the problem. We'll all know whether this is helpful once it finishes the formatting of the hard drive. This process is taking a very long time to complete so I am leaving it overnight for it to complete. I will keep you updated on progress. I am also told that Apple is struggling with Windows 8 drivers and I may not be able to use that, so I am going back to Windows 7 even though I was beginning to like windows 8 very much.

I'm sure there are various ways to do this, but here's what I would do:
. Using whatever recording software you have e.g. MediaSource, you would need to connect a microphone to the soundcard and record the text you want to add to the CD.
2. If you want, edit the text so that it contains all that you need. This depends on the final quality of the file and whether it's got mistakes in it etc. The soundcard you have might have some editing software with it, but if it doesn't you can download and install the excellent freeware http://audacity.sourceforge.net/.
3. Then you need to compile the tracks on the CD for writing, so you would add each track to whatever CD software you use and add the text you've recorded as tracks before the relevant song.
I appreciate this is a bit general, but being specific is hard without knowing what software you have.

Rework Order after QC Rejection......for Production against Sales Order

Hi All,
Can you help me in the following issue.........?
I have Make to Order production scenario. After Production Order is confirmed material goes for QC inspection and some quantity get rejected ( need rework).
Since I have confirmed total quantity in order confirmation, if I create a rework order with reference to the sales order that will increase the production qty by the rework qty. But I need a rework order to rework on the rejected quantity.
Let me know how to resolve the issue.

Hi!,
From your mail it seems that you are doing quality inspection on GR (inspection type 04). Please carry out following steps:
1) At the time of quantity posting on usage decision please put rejected quantity in field against retuen to vendor (i.e. carry out 122 movement for the rejected material). By doing this you will find the delivered quanity on prod order reduced by the rejected quantity.
2) Now create a production order without material (CO07) for the rejected quantity and put the original order as cost receiver in the settlement rule so that all the cost incurred during rework will be settled on original order.
3. Confirm the origianl order / Final operation again for the reworked quantity and make the GR again. This will again create a new inspection lot.
4. Carry out the result recording and UD for this new inspection lot.

Rework order for FG return from customer

I have made delivery & Invoice for sales order for quantity 800 unit. Out of that customer returned 600 unit bcoz of poor quality.
I made return order & did post GR to rework storage location.This stock is return stock in MMBE. Now I have to process on same FG and bring its to unrest.use stock. How to map this in PP

Try the following rework order scenario:
1)Normally rework order is created by t-code CO07
2) in CO07, give plant then order type (rework order type) then enter
3) Material description, quantity to be reworked then date enter
4) system will ask u reference operation set (it should be created before only in CA11)
5) then give the reference operation set Number then system will take u to settlement Rule
6) here for CAT give as order, then in settlement receiver give your header order number then percentage as 100 %
97 then click on component overview icon, then give your BOM components (which to re-worked & assign an operation to it)
8) then save the order
9) then do the confirmation to re-work order
10) then do GR to header order & settlement will take place to header order only not to re-work order
Note : for rework work, GR will not take place

Here the scenerio is like this-
1] The Material will be received under job work, hence it is non-excisable, it should be return within 180 days from the date of supplier challan date.
2] In case of Breakages or scrap of Bottles, Customer/Supplier will provide us 2-3% allowance.
3] Supplier will provide the plain Bottle in Plastic Crate, same will be returned to him. No need of any packaging.
4] For Pricing, Base Price will be decided by Marketing Team. Service Tax - 10% of Base Price, Ecess - 2% on Service Tax, S/HEcess - 1% on Service Tax, Thus pricing will be done.
5] For Invoicing the procedure required in SAP with reference to Service Tax. only Heading display INVOICE instead of Tax invoice & separate series of Invoice will be required.
How to map this in SAP SD module

Query Regarding Rework Order

I have one scenarion wherein I need your help...
Scenario:
My Client is creating a Rework Production Order wherein he wish to replace one component of a BOM with Other. However the component removed for the Header Material should increase my Inventory.
Example: Suppose I have a Header material 'A' in a BOM. Components are 'B' and 'C' are required for producing 'A' . Since there is shortage of component 'C', they want it to replace by component 'D'. After creating Rework Order and confirmation, the Stock of 'C' should increase by the no. it was removed from the Header Material. Now the Costing of Production Order should have cost of 'B' and 'D' in it with all the relevant activities.
I have tried options like giving the Quantity of 'C' in minus so it becomes By-product and goes to unrestricted use via movement type '531' increasing my stock as required. But in costing the price for 'C' is in Minus and it is adjusted with the prices of other components (minus plus mathematics) and gives the cost. in this example minus value of 'C' is adjusted against combined value of 'A' and 'D'. (Price of A + price of D) -Price of 'C' which i dont want.
I want Price of 'C' also to be replaced by price of 'D' and Stock of 'C' gets updated in the inventory.
can you please help me in getting the correct process in place. Thanks.

If you are consuming 'D' instead of 'C' ,then you can very much change it in Production order itself or at the time of Confirmation /Goods Issue. Else you can also do reverse GI (262) for C. I dont know why you are creating Rework order for replacing a part.
