RFC to check for SAP password
Hi,
I wanted to check the password of the login created using SU01. Please let me know if any RFCs are there for this.
Thanks,
Srikanth
Hi,
Thanks. But when i pass the login name and password to the RFC, it says Name or Password is incorrect.
But i am able to login into the system using the same user name and password.

J_security_check in form-based authentication - not checking for blank passwords
I am using the LDAP Security Realm to authenticate against an iPlanet
Directory Server. All works as expected when a user-id and password
are entered for form-based authentication.
However, when a userid is entered but no password, j_security_check
logs the user in successfully. Aparently, this is correct LDAP
behaviour as anonymous login to the LDAP server is permitted. It seems
that the j_security_check servlet should check for blank passwords
before trying to authenticate against the LDAP server and fail
authentication if this is the case.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?Hi Brian,
I do not believe it is j_security_check's job to check for blank
passwords.
In many security realms, it is "legal" for a user to have a blank
password. j_security_check forwards whatever password was entered so that
even users with blank passwords can be authenticated by the realm on the
backend. For this reason I believe that j_security_check is "doing the
right thing" by just forwarding whatever is presented to it, rather than
having its own logic. It is best if j_security_check just acts as a very
dumb middle man.
If behavior was altered, it is true that your particular problem would be
solved, but then many other people would have a problem with their users
with blank passwords authenticating properly...
Try looking into how to disable anonymous logins on the LDAP end of
things. Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Joe Jerry

EWA: error message in CRM check for SAP Solution Manager system
Hello!
In EWA report for SAP Solution Manager system I have seen error message: Many CSA* inbound queues in error status were detected in your system. As a result of this BDocs have not been delivered. And then table
Queue Name Status Date of first entry Entries
CSABUPA0000000070 READY 03.12.2007 45
CSABUPA0000000934 READY 07.05.2008 45
CSAIBASE0000000000 READY 23.11.2007 36
CSA_ORDER_8000000000 READY 22.11.2007 5
CSA_ORDER_8000000001 READY 22.11.2007 3
and others.
I looked transaction smq2. There are 11300 queues in it. Is it actual error or it is a normal situation? And that must I do, to remove an error?
Edited by: Mariya Kurbatova on Jul 2, 2009 6:27 AMHi,
Usually problems with hanaging CSA* queues are caused because too many
indiviaual queues are created for the qRFC resources to handle. You can
limit the number of queues as described in note 763680.
Note 763680 would be useful if all of your qRFC resourcesa are in use
when you have a great number of queues. With a large number of dialog
WPs on the system it would probably make sense to reduce the amount
as described in the note.
the casue when you have this problem would be to check SMQR -> GOTO ->
qRFC resources. You can also see if most of your dailog WPs are in use
in SM50.
Also refer to note 758677.
Please schedule report RSQIWKEX (Inbound) to run as described in the
note.
And since your title has mentioned that the EWA is on your CRM satellite system; this maybe a further good reference too
When you replicate lots of data from CRM to R/3, there could be a qRFC
resource problem. In this case, the numebr of queues created can be
reduced by implementing the attached note 356228, particularly solution
2.
For CSA* queues is slightly different from the one decribed in note;
this is because the CSA queues exchange data within the CRM system.
The steps described should be followed, except that table SMOFQFIND
must be used instead of CRMQNAMES. In this table, fields TR_SNAEMS and
SEGM_FLD are equivalent to the CRMQNAMES fieds BAPISTRUCT and BAPIFLD
respectively. It should be possible to follow the solution 2 in the
note as long as you use SMOFQFIND instead of CRMQNAMES.
Hope this helps

Going live check for SAP upgrade projects
Hello,
I am interested in "going live check" service and procedures for my upgrade projects. May I find any documentation? Do I have to pay for it?..
Thanking you in advance and a happy new years!
Kind regards

This service is included as part of your annual maintenance fee.
The underlying concept of the SAP GoingLive Functional Upgrade Check is
to ensure smooth operation of your mySAP.com solution by taking action
proactively, before severe technical problems occur.
The GoingLive Functional Upgrade Check is made up of three sessions
(Planning, Analysis and Verification)two sessions (Planning and Analysis)
before the upgrade and the other (Verification) after the upgrade.
Planning Session: This session should be performed as much in advance as
possible when the upgrade is first being considered.
Analyses compatibility for the target release with regards to connected
systems in the Solution Landscape, OS version, DB version, installed Add-
Ons, Plug-ins, Country Versions, and so on.
Analysis Session: It is generally performed two months before the
production upgrade (consider lead time for hardware procurement).
The focus is on resource planning and system configuration.
There is a high-level hardware plausibility check (this is not a hardware
sizing exercise).
Potential resource bottlenecks are identified.
Necessary changes will be recommended to prepare the system for the
productive use of the new release.

How do we reset password for SAP* and DDIC user in SAP R/3 ECC 6.0?
Hi,
How do we reset password for SAP* and DDIC user in SAP R/3 ECC 6.0?
I tried with acual method as below from client '000':

After this when I tried to logon '001' using SAP* with password PASS it is giving the message that Incorrect logon and password.
(Also when I checked for 'SAP*' in 001 it looks like it is not got created as I queried as below:
SELECT SINGLE * FROM USR02 CLIENT SPECIFIED WHERE BNAME = 'SAP*' AND MANDT = '001'.)
Can anybody throw some light on this? RewardS is guranteed for solutions!

Regards,
Mahesh.Hi,
Please follow this steps:
Creating RFC Destinations in the ABAP and Java Environment
You need to create the following RFC destinations in transaction SM59 (ABAP) and the Visual Administrator (Java):
u2022 AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER
u2022 AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
u2022 LCRSAPRFC
u2022 SAPSLDAPI
Depending on your client settings, it may be necessary to be logged on your SAP Exchange Infrastructure host as SAP system user with the authorization to maintain customizing tables and to release transport orders. Note, that user "SAP*" or "DDIC" does not have these authorizations.
Maintaining the RFC Connections (Transaction SM59)
1. Log on to your SAP Exchange Infrastructure central instance host.
2. Call transaction SM59.
3. Choose Create.
4. Enter at least the following:
RFC destination: AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER
Connection type: T
Description: <your description>
5. Choose ENTER
6. Choose the tab Technical settings and do the following:
a. Select Registered Server Program
b. In the Program ID field, enter: AI_RUNTIME_<SID> where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your Integration Server host. Use uppercase letters only.
c. Enter Gateway host and Gateway service of your Integration Server host. To find out the required parameters:
a. On the Integration Server host, call transaction SMGW
b. Choose Goto u2192 Parameters u2192 Display (see entries for gateway hostname and gateway service)
7. Choose tab Special Options and select the flag Unicode in the box Character Width in Target System.
8. Save your settings.
9. Repeat the steps 3 u2013 8 for the remaining destinations:
Destination
Values
AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
Program ID: AI_DIRECTORY_<SID>, where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your SAP XI host
LCRSAPRFC
Program ID: LCRSAPRFC_<SID>, where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your SAP XI host.
SAPSLDAPI
Program ID: SAPSLDAPI_<SID>, where <SID> is the SAP system ID of your SAP XI host.
10. Leave the transaction SM59 open for later tests.
J2EE Configuration for the Destinations (Visual Administrator)
1. On your SAP Exchange Infrastructure central instance host, start the J2EE Engine administration tool.
2. Choose Cluster u2192 Server u2192 Services u2192 JCo RFC Provider
3. In the section RFC destination, enter exactly the same program ID and gateway options for AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER that you used in the step Maintaining the RFC connection above. Additionally, set the number of processes to 10.
4. In the section Repository, do the following:
a. Enter the parameter for the SAP XI host: Application Server, System Number, Client and Language.
b. For User and Password maintain the login parameters for the user SAPJSF.
c. Select the flag Unicode.
6. Choose Set.
7. Repeat the steps 3 u2013 6 for the remaining destinations:
Destination
Values
AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER
u2022 Corresponding values from SM59
u2022 Number of processes: 10
LCRSAPRFC
u2022 Corresponding values from SM59
u2022 Number of processes: 3
SAPSLDAPI
u2022 Corresponding values from SM59
u2022 Number of processes: 3
Testing the RFC Destination
After you have maintained all RFC destinations in both the ABAP and Java environment, you can check all the connections above as follows:
1. Call transaction SM59 again.
2. Open your RFC destination.
3. Choose Test Connection. No error should be displayed.
This will solve your problem.
Thanks

Creation of RFC destination for SAP-Access Connectivity
Hi,
I want to create a RFC destination for SAP-Access connectivity.
Can I get some help regarding it's connection type, activation type and gateway options required for the same.
Regrads,
Anthony D'souzaHi
Please see the following:
1. Create an entry in Trxn DBCA for SQL Server in SAP, you are creating a database connection for the SQL server in SAP.
2. You use this connection, and write Native SQL stmnts...between EXECSQL...ENDEXEC to fetch the data..and then normal ABAP statements to put that data into your ztable.
TABLE DBCON Entry can be like this...depends on your External database..
CON_NAME Raj Logical name for connection
DBMS MSS Microsoft SQL Server
USER_NAME <User name> For SQL Server
PASSWORD <password> " "
CON_ENV MSSQL_SERVER=<server> MSSQL_DBNAME=<database name>
DB_RECO Availability type for an open database connect
FUNCTION z_houston_connect.
""Local interface:
EXEC SQL.
CONNECT TO 'RAJ' AS 'V'
ENDEXEC.
EXEC SQL.
SET CONNECTION 'V'
ENDEXEC.
*- Get the data from MS-SQL Server
EXEC SQL.
open C1 for
select
l.loc_id,
l.loc_name,
a.acc_id,
a.acc_name,
d.person
from ho_loc_mast as l
inner join snd_acc_mast as a on l.loc_id = a.loc_id
inner join snd_acc_addr as d on a.loc_id = d.loc_id and
a.acc_id = d.acc_id
where l.loc_id = '001'
ENDEXEC.
DO.
EXEC SQL.
FETCH NEXT C1 into :wa-c_locid, :wa-c_locname, :wa-c_acc_id, :wa-c_acc_name, :wa-c_person
ENDEXEC.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
PERFORM loop_output.
ELSE.
EXIT.
ENDIF.
ENDDO.
EXEC SQL.
CLOSE C1
ENDEXEC.
ENDFUNCTION.

RFC calls with SAP JCO and IBM resource adapter for SAP - basic tuning
Hi experts,
we are working on a java portal connected to a backend system SAP by calling RFCs.
On our first integration tests, it appears to be quite slow fetching data from SAP by calling the remote functions from the custom portal. We are using SAP JCo 3.0.6 and IBM resource adapter for SAP 7.0.0.3 to integrate SAP with our portal.
Is there any basic tuning to achieve to improve performances or any hint of where to tune in SAP ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
JamalHi Jamal,
I understand you have already checked performance issues in the SAP Server. We had some problems with certain RFC calls and it turned out to be a badly developed ABAP sentence.
I'd recommend you to use httpwatch or another tool to check the response times from the browser, so you can point accurately where the is.

Ingo,
I am getting below error message in BO Test environment when I refresh WebI document.
MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. See RFC trace file or SAP system log for more details
It was working when we migrated the objects initially. Subsequently when we try to refresh WebI document we are getting the above error message. It still works in BO Dev environment and the no of records are the same in Dev and Test.
I am able run the underlying BEx query in SAP BW Test environment and it does return data.
I checked ST22 and SM21 log, but no details there.
Is it related to Authorization on the Universe or Bex Query?
We are in the middle of UAT and not able to move forward. I would greatly appreciate your input.
Thanks
RamIngo,
I ran the zip file and added the required entries to registry.
And then I tried to reproduce the error, but the files are not generated instead I noticeed below error message on the server:
The description for Event ID ( 7939 ) in Source ( Crystal OLAP Client ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Registry Access Error: , [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE]Software\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\MDA\Log\Modules: The system cannot find the file specified..
Does tha t mean we do not have permissons to read the registry?
I would greatly appreciate your input.
Thanks in advance.

No RFC destination is defined for SAP Global Trade Services
Hi Team,
I am getting error No RFC destination is defined for SAP Global Trade Services while transferring master data from one ECC Client to GTS.
Both clients has built in GTS. The situation is like this.... Client A which has ECC & GTS and Client B also has ECC and GTS. Client B we are intended
to use only for GTS. This is basically for proto type purpose we need to establish connectivity between A and B. B we intended to use as a feeder system
1) All the three BADI'sin SD0A,SD0B and SD0C level activated
SLL_PI_SD0A_TRANSFER
SLL_PI_SD0B_TRANSFER
SLL_PI_SD0C_TRANSFER
2) /SAPSLL/RFC_DEST Badi also active
I asked BASIS people to check in SM59 Client A is connected with Client B (here Client B as RFC destination) even connection test / remote logon also
tested and it is working between A an B

Tried to update an app on my phone but when it asked me to give the password for my AppleID, it was asking for the password to my sister's AppleID. I went to setting and down to itunes&app store settings and checked which AppleID was logged in, but i found that it was my AppleID that was logged in, not my my sisters. I then tried logging out and logging back in again but the app store, regardless of this, still asks me for my sister's AppleID and I don't know her password...How do I get the app store to ask me for MY AppleID password, not my sister's?
If this app was bought by your sister with her Apple ID, only her ID can update the app.
