RH 6 a website not responding - missing whver.js file

This is usually caused by the whver.js not being copied over on the server during the publishing process. A fix is to manually copy it to the correct directory. Once this file is copied to the correct directory all is well. Does anyone know why this is occuring. It is not an every day thing but does occur occassionally. Can anything be done to prevent this from happening?

An observation if I may. Sometimes folks severely confuse the act of Generating with Publishing. Generating should occur on the local PC and is similar to baking up a batch of cookies. You pop the doughballs in the oven and out come baked cookies. Publishing copies that content from the local PC (typically from the ProjectFolder\!SSL!\WebHelp folder) to the Web Server.
I've seen it occur where folks simply try to save a step by specifying the Web Server location as the output folder when you generate. And if you have done this, files WILL be deleted as the process begins. RoboHelp normally clears the folder in preparation for placing the new build. It's like clearing the cookie sheet in preparation for the new batch.
Food for thought when investigating what is happening.

Website not responding errors

Hello... I feel like since I upgraded to Lion, Safari hasn't been the same. I've never had a problem with websites freezing on me and now, it seems like I often have to force reload a website because the website is not responding. This happens both at home and at work so I don't feel it is the internet connection. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks!

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account, or is system-wide. Enable guest logins and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select “Help” from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box.
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Any application you run will behave as if you were running it for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
As Guest, launch Safari and test. Same problem(s)?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.

Website not responding

Please help!
I have an AirPort Extreme (4th Gen).
I have my laptop, iPad, iPhone hooked up to it.
On all three devices, when I go to Twitter, or try to use the iPad/iPhone Twitter apps, my devices say "not responding." My devices also say "sending request" but then they time out and say it is not reponding.
ALL OTHER websites work. I don't get it.
I have done a hard reset, and still no luck. Do I need a new IP address?

After a few hours of work, it appears Twitter is blocking an IP address that starts with:
174.34.
Now, I have to try to get a new IP address.

Websites not responding after I pull them up.

When I am web browsing and pull up a site after a few minutes I get a message that the site is not responding. Windows Internet Explorer checks for cause and I click at the bottom of the page to restore the website. It does it almost every time I pull up an internet address and is getting worse.

Iphoto not responding - Missing photos

Hello I have a macbook and was importing some photos vis CD, the Macbook then ran out of power. I restarted the macbook and Iphoto was not responding and I had to force shutdown. Iphoto nows says not responding. I started Iphoto with the Alt key and chose library but none of my old pics are there? 1000s of photos gone. Please can anyone help? Are the photos still there somewhere?

Emails without content, "IMAP server not responding", missing password etc.

I'm having heavy issues with the email app on my iP4.
It started yesterday when it showed up my inbox like this:

I rebooted without success.
All of a sudden it worked again when I checked about half an hour later.
Today in the noon the same error, but it stays the same for hours now.
I rebooted, switched off and on without success.
I deleted the IMAP account, rebooted, started to create the same account. Then I am asked if I want to configure the acc. without SSL (which is not needed), I say No and save the acc.
When I want to check my emails it says that there is no password configured, so I go into settings, set it up again (and I am sure that I set it right at first setup), check email again and get the message that the IMAP server of the acc. does not respond.
This is driving me nuts. I had this issue 2 or 3 weeks ago already and restored from a backup, after that it worked ok. Last week I installed everything from scratch, it took me 2 days to reconfigure my phone for my needs.
Maybe someone has an idea before I send my phone in...
PS: This applies to several email providers. On my wife's 3GS everything works fine.

I have been the same issue on my iPhone 4 since last saturday (01:34 A.M, Paris time).
My iPhone cannot sync anymore with my gmail account using IMAP protocol ! It has been working fine on different generations et now, it just won't !
All my other accounts work just fine and it's not related to some kind of wireless operator limitation.
I have googled this and found out that people are having the same issue. I tried everything but nothing solves it !
Any bugs causing this ?

Profilemanager website not responding (10.10 Server)

I can not reach the profile manager website.
I think it is an apache problem.
I installed Yosemite Server with Open Directory and network accounts.
I was able to add all my clients to profile manager and set them up to show the list of users in the login window of the clients.
When I tried to set up a profile to submit settings for contacts and calendar it did not work so i removed the settings from the profile.
No I don't get into the profile manager website any more.

I dont understand, why it says, there is no space left on device an which device it means.
There ist lots of space on the disk.
I have not set up websharing until now

I have/had the same issue with a client server. The server was upgraded from 10.7 -> 10.8 ->10.10 Maybe that was it. I don't know.
That calendar uses the apache load balancer. The issue was that apache can not start with the load balancer loaded. The load balancer can not start because it's files in the /var/run/ directory already exits. So when you cold boot, calendar work the first time. But if you try to restart the calendar, it can't and it can't run apache for the websites etc either. What a pain! It will try to restart every 10 seconds. When it tries to do this, you see the myserver.domain.tld certadmin check the certificate in the system log. (I think that is OK, it is just verifying it)
So this is what I did. I build a server from scratch in my office and compared the /Library/Server/Web/Config/apache2/ between the two servers. I did not replace the bad one as the certificates are different.
This is what I found.
servermgr_web_apache2_config.plist loads httpd_webdavsharing.conf with com.apple.webapp.webdavsharing in the upgraded version. In the new version it does not. It also createRedirectToSSLVirtualHost with the bad version. We no longer need that.
I also noted that my migrated version has workers.properties files . I renamed them. I don't think that did much.
Finally I had to 'sudo reboot' the whole server to clear out the /var/run/ directory of the old slotmem-shm-p81db1a97--235335757_balancer files.
So

This is the output of the diff statement. I hope that helps you. If you make a mistake, the system log will show you that it can not load servermgr_web_apache2_config.plist (and a whole lot more) so that is helpful.
Start with changing line 8 and 10. I did that last, and that might just do it. On the old upgraded (bad) server these pointed to the old directories.

Websites not responding and takes to long to connect

When i go on the browser at FireFox it is saying not responding and sometimes it says it has timed out or took too long to respond, What should i do to fix it?

Actually it will happen again, you can wait for it. It usually takes a few months and the entire cycle starts again. Apple knows perfectly well that mail is not working as it should for many years, especially in combination with Mobile Me synchronization. Don't be mistaken in the end nothing will help not vacuum your mailbox except removing your plist file and rebuilding it. With the Mobile Me that is not even able to alphabetically order your mail accounts it would be fun when you have numerous email accounts. Good luck. If I had the possibility to switch to another emailer I would have done so many years ago. However I am stuck with DMI from Marketcircle.

Acrobat PRO XI not responding when using Send File

We have 3 new Windows 7 Pro 64 bit workstations with latest service packs, Office 2013 latest service packs and Adobe Acrobat XI ver 11.0.4.
I have assigned the AD group Domain Users to the local pc Administrators group.
when trying to use the send file as an email attachment, the email is sent with the attachment but Acrobat goes to "not responding" state
When I login as me Domain Admin, works fine. When I login to my pc as one of these users works fine.
What am i missing?

I have the same issue, everything I do seems to only fix it temporarily. I can't believe we pay over $100 for a piece of software and the only support option is their forums, I can't call or even chat with a support rep, that is insane.
I have clients that this same issue is happening to and telling them it's fixed every other day only to have it break again and have no where to look for answers is extremely frustrating. Please help us out.

Itunes/AppleMobileDeivce not responding when syncing large files..

As stated above, Itunes or apple mobile device not responding everytime i sync a large file. for exmaple.. 1 or 2 songs i will nt encounter this error, but syncing an 400mb abv item, itune/apple mobile device will just appear not responding and crash..

Flash keeps 'not responding' when exporting .swf & file WAY too big

Hello!
I am creating an animation using ActionScript2 on Flash Professional CS5 and whenever I try to export (or even test) my animation, the progress bar comes up but the progress does not move. Then after about a second the dreaded '(not responding)' appears at the top of the window and if you click anywhere it greys out closes it.
If I leave it it doesn't export for ages (liteally like 3-6 minutes which is long for just exporting).
It only has 280 frames and the .fla file so far is 9.96MB! Other animations I have made have had double the frames yet 5 times smaller a file.
I have cleaned my registry many times (I thought that might be the problem or something).
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND! PLZ HELP!

"Not responding" when opening multiple files

I just installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I can open one file - most of the time,but if I try to open two PDF files simultaneously, the reader hangs and I get a "Not Responding" message. I tried to open a single file and open the preferences dialog box under Edit and the reader hung again. I've registered my product with my license #.
FYI, I'm running Windows 7 pro

This will most likely due to hardware acceleration. There are a number of bug reports that are still being worked on to improve startup times with hardware acceleration turned on.
You can turn off hardware acceleration to improve startup times. To do that in the Tools menu select Options to open the options dialog. Select the Advanced panel, and then the General tab. Uncheck the setting "Use hardware acceleration when available".

Seems like 90% of the time I'm getting the website not responding error message however everything I select refresh it will bring up the site why

This consistently happens when clicking links from within other site, however it also happens when selecting from bookmarks or typing in the url.

1. From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network ▹ Advanced ▹ TCP/IP
On the line beginning with the word "Router" is a numerical address, such as "192.168.1.1".
2. In the address bar of a web browser window, enter "http://" (without the quotes) and then the address you found in Step 1. The router's administration page will open. You will need to log in. If you don't know the password, and nobody else in the household knows it, reset the router to its factory defaults and then use the default password, which you should then change immediately. The default password can be found in the documentation (see the next step.) If you have to do this, you may also need to unlock the Network preference pane and then click the button marked Renew DHCP Lease.
3. In another browser window, go to the Netgear website and find the documentation for your router. Search the documentation for the term "DNS". Follow the instructions to get to the DNS settings, then delete the addresses of the OpenDNS servers. Save your changes.
4. Restart the router.

WEBSITE NOT REFLECTING EDITS OF HTML FILE THAT WAYS SUCCESSFULLY "PUT" TO REMOTE SERVER

Help! I'm hoping there is a simple reason why I can't get my simple edits to reflect on the website.Here is what I have done/tried:
1. opened and added one simple line of text (with one link to a pdf) to one page of the pre-exisitng site.
2. checked both properties and code to make sure everything matched the preceding, similar line of text
3. connected successfully to remote site through dreamweaver
4. tried both "putting" and synchronizing the file (along with dependent files)
5. the first time I did this I got the message that "no syncronization info is available" from the remote site
6. clicked ok (after going back and unchecking "maintain synchronization information," and making sure there were no sync files in the _name folders)
7. it took a long time to upload all of the files from the local site. when it finished, the log stated that everything put successfully, but the website
doesn't look any different.
Our root folder is saved on our server. We just recently changed web host providers.
Also, for each webpage, there are two html files (one general and then one with a 1, 2 or 3 column descriptor). I edited and put both to the site, but is there
something I should know about these two files?
?? I just need to make some really simple edits and I don't understand why they are not showing up!!??

I followed your instructions and was able to see the dummy page in the browser. (no file not found error)
OK - that's good.
I only have one site defined (should I have two - one for local and one for remote?)
Well, one site definition has the ability to contain local and multiple remote site specifications. Under the basic Site category in the Site definition, you will see the path to the local root folder. Under the Servers category, you will see each server that has been defined - usually a Remote server (that would be your web hosting account) and a Testing server (if you are coding a site with server scripting). It's normally the case, with a simple, static HTML site, to have just Local and Remote details in your site definition.
I called our host (Go Daddy) to ask what the name of the root directory was and they instructed me to just leave that blank. so right now it just appears as \
Actually, it should be either blank or "/" (the regular slash).
If you are able to see the dummy file that you browsed to but still do not see changes made to other files, then it must be that the host is caching files on your site. You would have to ask them that question. Otherwise, you should see changes that have been uploaded immediately.

Final Cut Express (4.0.1) keeps on freezing (not responding) when i import files (pics). Have force quit 3 times already. Also rebooted Mac. Any help please?

Frustrating experience with Final Cut Express 4.0.1 today. Started a new project. Imports pics, but every now and then FCE freezes and I have to force quite. Any advice please. Thanks

CMYK is a colour system used by specialized publishing businesses so unless you have got your pictures directly from one of these sources they are unlikely to be CMYK.
If the pictures have been produced by you they are likely to be the normal RGB.
To check, ctrl click on an original picture and in the Get Info window check the colour specs.
As you can see this one is RGB.
