Ribbon Stuck At Loading Only When Using VPN??

Hey SharePoint Fam,
Just ran into a very weird issue that I am not sure where to start.  Basically the ribbon works 100% for myself and all users at the office on the network.  We have vendors/contractors that vpn using sslvpn and they are totally unable to get to
the ribbon or click the add a document link.  The ribbon just stays at loading and the add a document link does nothing when clicked.  I logged into SharePoint with my username which has full admin access and got same issue when going the sslvpn
route but no issue here on the network at office.....I enabled the allow dns suffix setting and did a flush but still no luck..

Thanks for advice.  Turns out that our Cisco WebVPN and SharePoint 2010 don't like each other I guess.  I had to add the following to webconfig file and now everything is working 100% for all outside users that vpn into our system.

    Hello:
    I've finally gotten DSL and was wondering what others thoughts are about the "Load only when needed" option in TCP/IP? Under dialup, it is best to keep this checked, but with broadband, I have read that you can keep it unchecked.
    Just curious what others do in this situation?

    You got it in one.
    Used to work a treat for me - I could run an applescript to fire up Outlook Express, send all the mail ready to be sent, which would start up Remote Access, I'd key the password, the mails would be sent and thescript would close OE and close the Remote Access connection. Couldn't use the script to fire up remote access cos it doesn't know when / if the connection has been established successfully.
    This would sometimes be done over my mobile whilst in transit, so every second I was connected was costing me.
    I suppose you could have "Load only when needed" set with broadband, the broadband would still be on and connected, but your Mac would have like an extra firewall until it decided to connect to the internet (but once you're connected you stay connected).

    Can you rule out the NoScript extension as a cause of the issues on those sites? Even if you allow the main site to run scripts, often a website will spread its content over additional servers, so you may need to visit the "S" button menu a second or third time to get full functionality. (Over time, you'll recognize some the servers as being for ads, tracking, or sharing buttons and you can just let those parts of the page not work.)

    Jackie,  I am having the same issue and agree that it obscures our site analytics.
    I only have the "WebMarketing" subscription - so I cannot see how often people visit my site (unless I just dont know how to view that).  Here is a screen shot of how many different locations I have and how much it affects my site visitor count based on the other locations which seem "legit" because they have more page views than visits.
    I hope there is a way to fix or block this.

  • My up and down arrows as well as page up and page down no longer work properly only when using firefox. Page up and down function more like the "home" and "end" keys as do the arrow keys.

    Honestly I'm not sure if these began just after I updated FF to the current release, but it's been happening for at least 2 weeks. The arrow keys and page up and page down keys all work as if I'm pressing the 'home' and 'end' keys on my keyboard. This is only when using FF. Please contact me if you need more clarification.     How do I stop CR XI prompting for password and username only when using dynamic parameters. When no dynamic parameters are used CR XI isn't prompting for the DB user name and password. The report is run from an application which passes the user name and password. I am using Oracle and the problem is both with the native oracle driver and the ODBC RDO driver.

    I didnt ask you to change it to static I said I took the parameters totally out of the report. Saved it. Then re-enter the dynamic parameters into the report and it worked for me. That might have worked for you, not sure why you changed it to static.
    Ok I have just created a quick report using dynamic parameters, it didnt ask me for the username password.
    Can you create a sample report - just to test the db? and see if it works? add only 1 or 2 fields in the report, create parameters (dynamic) and see if it works
    why don't you embed the username and password in your application, it won't ask for username password then.

  • Mac book pro (late 2013) has a lag when sculpting and rotating models in Zbrush only when using my Wacom-capture tablet (if I use a mouse or trackpad its fine no lag). Also Premiere Pro CS5, playback is almost like watching footage in slow motion.

(Because I have also installed Window 7 on this same MacBookPro and tested the same software "Zbrush and Premiere Pro" And they both work perfectly on the Bootcamp Windows 7 install, and so its using the same hardware so it has to be the drivers right ?)

    One dead pixel.  Always the same one, only when using Pages.  Has anyone else seen this?

    This has been happening to me ever since I upgraded to Mountain Lion. Certainly a software issue, I expected an update to iWork to resolve this after the release of 10.8 but it seems Apple have all but forgotten about their iWork suite...
    Below are images of the effected area when a Pages window is selected and unselected.

    I can start the listener manually using "./lsnrctl start" and start the database manually from sql prompt using "SQL>startup" (as sysdba) with no problems. this only happens when using dbstart file. I am logged in as oracle user and all environment variables are set

    Microphone works only when using the phone in hands-free (speaker on) mode.  Otherwise, only a constant buzz, accompanied by regular clicks (repeating 2-3 times/sec) can be heard by called persons or when recording a memo.  Makes Siri unusable, and cannot make private calls unless in a private area.  Does anybody have a fix for this?

    Okay I just solved the problem myself..
    For anyone that may have the same issue:
    The microphone used when recording video, is the little dot next to the jack on top of the iPhone 4S (maybe also iPhone 4, don't know). There was some dirt in this tiny little hole, and I simply just removed it with a very thin needle, and now it works great!

    We currently have a problem with SharePoint incorrectly loading Documents when on a Windows 8 machine when the link to the document is within an iFrame or a direct link.
    For example:
    Windows 7 User clicks on a SharePoint document link (for example: http://intranet/Customers/Customer/Proposal.docx), this link is embedded in an iFrame in another site (for example: http://crm/Customers/Customer/Proposals).
    The document then loads or presents a 'Open, Save or Save As' option.
    Windows 8 User clicks on the same SharePoint document link, The document loads in the background of the user. The process WINWORD.exe is in the task manager, but nothing is displayed.
    This is only for Windows 8 users. I have tried both on IE 11 and 10 on Windows 7 machines and as long as the user has the Office Document Cache Handler installed and enabled, the user is fine.
    Navigating directly to the Intranet with the Windows 8 User and locating the document opens the document as normal with no Issues.
    Directly copying the address to the document and pasting it into the address bar presents the same issue.
    The issue seems to be the way in which Windows 8 computers deal with SharePoint documents, in that the addin which helps with version controlling documents in Office 2013 does not load when a document is directly clicked, rather than navigating to sharepoint
    and then finding the document.
    I can provide further information if needed.

    From your description, I suspect the issue might be related to browser. Could you please test the issue with other browser on the Windows 8.1? I am using Windows 8.1 as client machine and I cannot reproduce the issue.

  • Captivate demos stuck in Loading state when shared in an Adobe Connect meeting room

    We have published several Adobe Captivate demos directly to Adobe Connect content library (using both Captivate 5.5 and 7). The demos work fine when accessed directly using the URL assigned in the Content Library. However, when the demo is shared in a meeting room share pod, it gets stuck in Loading state and nothing is displayed. Trying to understand if this is a bug or if there are certain publishing settings in Captivate that are causing this problem.

    Have you looked at the logs on the Connect server (Error or Access) to see if there is something there to help identify the problem?
    If you put ?mode=xml after you meeting room, do you get any clues about the problem in the text that shows below the connection error message?
    Have you tried the test my computer page to see if there is a problem that can be identified there?
