RMAN Error in DB13

Hello All,
We are running ECC 6.0 system in Oracle and we have scheduled the Full online backup+redolog backup eery weekend. But the backup fails with the following error

I have checked the permission and its fine at OS level. I have also created the SAPServiceSID user in the backup device. Still we face this issue.

Problem about tdp for sap rman error

I installed tdp for sap and scheduled a online backup , after the backup finished, I checked the log.
all data files were backuped successfully. but there is an error about rman. I do not know how to do about that? Could you help me? I think the backup could be successful without rman, why in the backup log, it shows a rman error .
I checked the initDEV.sap and initDEV.utl, there is no entry about rman, I do not use rman_util.

Hello Victor,
we need the RMAN commands that were executed and at which step this error occurs.
Maybe it is a problem with the snap controlfile for the AUTOBACKUP or many other scenarios are possible.
We are also using the TDP for mySAP, but without RMAN support.
If you want to use just RMAN (like we do for non-SAP systems / no BR*Tools) you can save a lot of license/service costs, if you are using TDP for Oracle, but keep in mind that you are losing the support for that by SAP. You can directly open a call by oracle for these situations.
If you want this scenario as described we need more detailed information. Maybe a "LIST BACKUP" would also be nice.

RMAN errors sent to shell script calling RMAN sequence?

Hello,
I have a Korn shell script run on Solaris as the root user that launches RMAN sequences similar to this one:
#!/bin/ksh
su - oracle -c "export ORACLE_SID=ORCL; rman target / << !
<rman sequence>
I am wondering if there is a way to catch the RMAN errors in the shell script?
If I call SQLplus instead of RMAN, I can use "whenever sqlerror exit sql.sqlcode" and I will retrieve the error code in the shell script from $? - can I do such a thing with RMAN?

You could capture the return code *$?* from your RMAN script and if it returns anything other than 0, then you could grep the RMAN log for errors and/or query
V$RMAN_OUTPUT after the RMAN script executes.

Put on comment the line SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS) by adding a # at the beginning
Then you have #SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS)

Rman errors on restore archivelog

Hi all,
I am running scripts to back up database every day , but after while 7 days it start to give me errors like:

Really the error is very strange realizing that if functions well for about 6 days or something like that.
this is a notable line in the error.
some targets not found - aborting restore
I recommend you to check very well your targets path
to be restore. I think that is the cause of the failure.

I am using ECC 5.0 ,win2k3 enterprise edition ,Oracle 9i
could anybody explain me what the relation of oracle block segment ,and windows block segment .
Could i solve the problem without reinstalling sap .
Please explain me in detail following paragraph ,which i read ,

 Mishandled block information (in certain conditions), upon reading the database block, which indicates that a good block is corrupted. This is the bug in the Oracle version 8.1.x - 9.x, where the Oracle will raise the error:
ORA-600 [kcoapl_blkchk][ABN][RFN][INT CODE]
Pointing to failure condition during block check. This only happens when block checking is enabled.
 A problem with a faulty database trigger operation, causing data block corruptions

Hi experts ,
Regarding ORA 0600 ,the error which i found in db13 of 000,pls guide me in details as i am fresher basis consultant working in production enviorment.
I am pasting the check db log in db13 ,pls guide me if any problem is found.
Note that
1) i run sick tcode which shows no error report in the system .
2)I have configured stms ,
3)imported profiles from rz10 tcode from os level to sap level .
4)Created new client logged and doing local client copy but it cancelled every times .
In scc3 log it show different errors ,in sm21 log it show diffrerent errors .
It does not show ora 600 error anywhere in the logs ,but when i tried to check consistency of database through CHECKDB it show ora -600 error .

Error in DB13 scheduled backup

Hi All,
We schedule db13 backup in SAP on DB6 database (WIN2K3 OS) the backup is completing successfully but it was giving couple of errors in JobLog. Please find the error messages as follows
"Action deleted in SDBAP at 20061129225959"
"Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE"
Can any one tell me is there any problem with this error. Or can i ignore if we ignore this error can we able to restore this backup file?

If someone deletes such a periodic job in DB13, the job in SM37 is not deleted immediately but only gets an invalidation timestamp. If the invalidated job tries to start again in SM37, it fails with the error message you experienced.
Normally you can ignore this, as long as DB13 itselfs shows correct results. You should not interprete the jobs in SM37 only.
Depending on your SAP release there is a background job which cleans up such invalidated SM37 jobs

Error in db13

Hi,
Due to security reasons we had disabled the RSH and enable SSH. After this DBCHECK & Update statistics not working in DB13 which was working perfectly when RSH was enabled.
The error is "22.04.2009     23:00:36     No application server found on database host - rsh/gateway will be used"
We have already changed the parameter gw/rem_start with value ssh_shell (old value was remote_shell)
DB and CI configured on 2 different node.
Kindly help.

in our system the gateway does not recognize the parametervalue SSH_SHELL for gw/rem_start:
Here the ouput of dev_rd:
gateway runs with dp version 139(ext=102) (@(#) DPLIB-INT-VERSION-139)
gateway (version=640.2009.02.03)
ERROR => gw/rem_start : invalid value SSH_SHELL [gwxxprf.c    1043]
ERROR => gw/rem_start : invalid value SSH_SHELL [gwxxprf.c    1701]
ERROR => unabled to start external programs [gwxxprf.c    1791]
I have applied the newest 640_EX2 kernel (PL 287) ...
Any ideas ?

Rman Error at the end of the backup

Hi Guru's
When i am taking complete backup through Rman , At the end i am getting an error like 'there is no space in the Flash recovery area'.
Error generation is like this,

When I issue List backup command , the backup I have taken is available. How will I increase my Flash reovery area size??

You can verify your flash recovery space with:
SQL> SELECT * FROM V$RECOVERY_FILE_DEST;but as oradba mentioned, in this case it appears to be shortage of drive space.
