Rman hangs during restoration with no errors

Platform:solaris 10
oracle version:oracle 10g
I am restoring the backup from tape using RMAN.
iWe have production instances in /data1 to /data11; it is connected to TAPE through fibre cable with the speed of 256MBS/sec.
Our restoration is /aux_data01 to /aux_data11 in the same server.( fairport80)
But our restoration takes very long time. To restore 900 GB is has taken 42 hrs.
a) During the validation it has not give any error.
b) During restoration also it has not give any error (till to time)
Last update in the restoration log was today morning at 2:00 am. There after the restoration was in stale. It seems that it does not processing. Please assist me.
We are restoring the database as of 16-oct-2007.
As of 16-oct-2007 the database size was 1,763GB. It has restored 1742GB, There after no progress at all. (From 2am today)
Validate.
During validate it has not given any error
Restoration.
During the restoration has not thrown any error at all. But no progress after 24-oct-2007 2:00 am onwards.
All data files were restored, but control files are not restored.
Conclusion
Last time in 30Hrs we hit an error. but now after 84 hrs it is stale.
Can anyone help in this please

I tried to search some information and tried to write some trace files during restore like this...

What else can i do to check what's happenig?But I cannot find any errors in trace files...This indicates the problem is not on the RMAN, but on the TSM side. So you have to check the TSM logs, you also can switch on tracing:

And on this place RMAN just hangs and nothing happens further...How long do you wait?

My new Iphone 5 hang during restore process. I've tried all the resolutions proposed above... Pls help!!! (The software is downloaded from apple, unpacked, iphone is prepared, the apple logo appeared on the screen as well as the process bar and... stops! the process bar does not start to fill in...)

i bought htc 8x verizon employee edition and when i update it and during installation with my error phone get off and now phone stuck on some wheel running thing and wont get on please tell me if i could download the rom or anything also
Hi mnomi! Sorry to learn of the trouble you're running into with your new phone! Have you already switched the device via your My Verizon : http://vz.to/16lkVUY Once you have done this, and verify the sim card is inserted securely, the activation will begin. If the phone is stuck on the wheel and you cannot move forward, you may want to do an alternative reset. Please follow the below instructions:
1) Ensure the device is powered off.
2) Press and hold the Volume Down button (located on the right edge) until instructed to release in step 4.
3) Press and hold the Power button (located on the top-right edge) until the device vibrates (approximately 2 seconds) then release.
4) When the restore screen appears (exclamation mark), release the Volume Down button.
5) From the restore screen, press then release the following keys to initiate the reset process:
1. Volume Up button
2. Volume Down button
3. Power button
4. Volume Down button
*Allow several minutes for the process to complete (rotating gears appear on the display to indicate that the reset is in progress).

IPad1 stuck in recovery mode with and ITunes cannot restore with an error code of 11?
I tried to update to IOS 4.3.4 today but now my iPad1 stuck in recovery mode with and ITunes cannot restore with an error code of 11?
(With the old discussion groups it was easy to see where other people had similar problems, these new groups seems clunky in comparison)OK, fixed it by using SHIFT+RESTORE to load the iPad1,1_4.3.4_8K2_Restore.ipsw file in directly from the
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPad Software Updates
folder.
No idea why the upgrade to 4.3.3 failed in the first place and no idea why iTunes was not clever enough to just do it by itself when it detected that there was a problem in the first place. -
3GS froze, then said Activation required, now fails to restore with unknown error (1)
My 3GS froze while using Navigon, then showing a pop-up saying "Activation required". When tapping the pop-up, an unusual white question box regarding location service shows up, after tapping "next" the process hangs. Connected to iTunes later, same procedure again, hangs again. When trying restore with iTunes, the whole load process looks ok, but at the end fails with "unknown error (1)", probably when trying to rstart the phone. I tried all variations (restore mode, DFU mode, hard reset) but no luck. The phone was recently officially unlocked (AT&T), could this be a factor? Or is this a harware problem? Any ideas aor hints welcome.

ManfredThanks for the pointer to the KB article. Error 1 is missing from the list provided by iTunes (more information), but I was afraid it means hardware. Will try on another computer, but I'm afraid the phone is sick.

Sever hangs during startup with registration of some servlets
Sever hangs during startup if some specific servlets are being registered.
The same servlets go OK in windows environment.
It's an AIX 4.3.3 with jdk 1.2.2 IBM build ca122-20001026.
I tried doing the verbose boot and a lot of codes started showing up. I don't really know how to read stuff like these but I've read 3 shutdown causes or something like that. And it disappeared to blue then grey screen then it asked for language selection, I clicked english, then it says, if you want to fix your disk click DISK UTILITIES in the Utilities options. I did and still, didn't see anything listed on the First Aid tab.
I'm just wondering, what will happen if I reinstall my OS? I'll lose all the saved files and datas right? Is it like restoring it to factory settings and will just bring my laptop back to normal? I don't have any back ups for my file, is there any way that I could get some even if I can't access my desktop? -
Firefox 31 hangs on startup with no error messages
Simply put, Firefox hangs right on startup. I see it loading the two generic tabs and then the wheel spins and then it says 'Not Responding' on the top of the window. I have to force close it each and every time, and I've also tried the following solutions in no particular order to alleviate the issue:
1) Ran SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes last night for any possible infections. Reported back with nothing.
2) Booted my laptop up in Safe Mode (with networking) and still couldn't get it to operate.
3) Performed several clean uninstalls and re-installations which also included clearing out the profiles altogether and then trying to open it again, nothing.
4) Booted up Firefox by holding down the shift key and resetted it to its default settings and then tried firing it up again. Nothing.
5) Attempted booting up FF in Safe Mode with the shift key, nothing.
6) Created a new profile and tried booting FF, nothing.
7) Read this article http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_hangs#Hyper-Threading about Hyper-Threading and followed the instructions which got it to operate, but I can't access the toolbar or the option menus. When I click on options Firefox closes with no error messages. I have a feeling this isn't the issue at hand but I figure I'd try it and at least I can get it to fully load and not hang.
8) Deleted all Firefox extensions and Plug-ins, nothing.
9) Enabled Firefox through firewall and antivirus settings, nothing.
10) Updated my BIOS firmware as suggested in #7, nothing.
I've done almost 10 different things and I still can't figure out why Firefox keeps hanging on startup. I've looked into Youtube videos for tutorials and others posted about the Java crashing that was happening in an earlier version of FF. Since its not crashing, I'm unable to look into the crash logs and pinpoint a crash number or anything because it just freezes and when I click to close it I get a message saying: 'Close program' or 'Wait for it to respond.'

then download and install again a new full installer from : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
disable firewall and antivirus and antispyware for a little bit, and run firefox. any luck ?

Microsoft Office 2010 encountered an error during setup: With No error codes/
Hello Everybody.
I am trying to deploy Office 2010 on a windows 7 Machine.. This machine has more then what it needs for hardware to run the software so I know it is not hardware related. At the end of the Install the installers hestiates and begins rolling back and finally
providing "Microsoft Office 2010 encountered an error during setup:" but does not provide any error codes what so ever.
I have tried upgrading, Fresh installs, side by side installs, Safe mode, Clean boot, Local admin accounts and other domain accounts. I have also tried numerous so called "fixes" but still get nothing. Sadly after the 2010 install fails 2007 no longer works
so each attempt is abit time consuming. Any Ideas out there that might solve issue ?Hi,
First try uninstalling all your Addins include connector to test the result.
If not help, try the following steps:
1) Create a new administrator account.
2) Log on and launch the installer.
If things don't quite work perfectly now:
3) If you receive errors accessing your ProgramData folder, use the TakeOwnership registry hack to take control of the entire ProgramData folder, and if needed, create a "Microsoft Office"
folder with "Microsoft Office 2010 Tools" inside it under %programdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu.
4) Your error may return at the end of the installation, but don't worry, it's finished and Office is now installed. Switch user (don't log off!) and go back to your own user. Double-check
that everything works. Now, to turn off your computer, press and hold the power button for five seconds. This will force the computer to shut down instantly, which will close the installer with the error without giving it the opportunity to roll back its changes.

Error 1015 indicates the phone was jailbroken. You can not get help here. Discussing jailbroken devices is forbidden by the terms of service.
Jailbreaking voids the warranty and forfeits all rights to support from Apple and on these forums. You're on your own. -
ATV displayed on TV the connect to iTunes with usb icon along with rapidly flashing led, during software update. Connected ATV to pc with micro usb. iTunes does recognize ATV and will allow download to begin. Download timer will indicate anywhere between 15 and 120 hours to complete. Always ends with unknown error message. Tried multiple times. Note: led flashes rapidly whenever power is applied.
That can usually mean there is an issue with security software installed on your system

Itunes 10 errors during installation with ipodservice error message
I have been trying to get itunes 10 installed for weeks. The upgrade would not work normally, so I removed itunes/quicktime/safari and decided try installing fresh.
I still get a error during the installation process saying that ipodservice.exe cannot execute instruction at 0x7c91b21a referenced at 0x0000000010. memory could not be 'written'
does anyone know how to fix this?i'm getting a similar message. running Windows XP with Symantec AV

Bought my ipad yesterday and the sync all worked fine. I needed to wipe it which worked but now it wont restore and the ipad wont go past the itunes logo with the connecting wire on the front screen and when it sometimes does, after the restore there is an error (1604)

How long did you wait? It might just take a while.
Could the computer's USB port have gone to sleep? I would try disconnecting the iPad and reconnecting it, to see if that is what iTunes is waiting for.
If there is another USB port, try that one too.

I am trying to restore my iPad, but it keeps hanging at the last of the install. I have tried starting over several times with the same result. HELP!!!!!
Hi,
Make sure you are using the cable that came with your iPad that connects to your computer, and try a different USB port.
Try charging the battery to 100%, then try to restore again.
