RMI Exception in OraBPEL~OC4J_BPEL~default_island~1 log file

Hi,
I am facing following rmi exception in my OraBPEL~OC4J_BPEL~default_island~1 log file:
09/04/09 19:16:50 java.lang.NullPointerException
09/04/09 19:16:50      at com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIServer.run(RMIServer.java:464)
09/04/09 19:16:50      at com.evermind.util.ReleasableResourcePooledExecutor$MyWorker.run(ReleasableResourcePooledExecutor.java:186)
This exception is restricting me to call BPEL Service from java.
I ckecked all rmi configuration but dont find exact place where the wrong configuration is.
Your help is really appreciated,
Rupesh.

Hi Rupesh,
Please follow this link : http://orasoa.blogspot.com/2007/06/calling-bpelesb-webservice-from.html, and see this configuration will help you overcome NPE.
Hope this helps!

  • Configuring logging for OraBPEL~OC4J_BPEL~default_island~1 log?

    Hi, was wondering if anybody can tell me anything about configuring the logging that gets
    written to the file OraBPEL~OC4J_BPEL~default_island~1 in $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs? Right now the file is rapidly growing very large and we'd like to limit the log output that
    gets written here if possible.
    I see log4 config files for most of the other logs in the BPEL system, but I can't find anything
    that seems to allow me any control over this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Phil

    Hi Phil,
    This is a opmn/oc4j log and has nothing to do with BPEL that's why you didn't find anything about it. It's logging configuration is done via opmn.xml which is located in $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf. You can find documentation about it in the OPMN guide.
    All the OC4J's std out and err are written there. If it is growing too fast maybe you have some BPEL loggers on DEBUG? I think the system wide loggers which you configure thru the BPELAdmin application write their output to that file.

  • ATSServer fatal exception- runaway syslogd process & massive asl.log file

    Hi All,
    (in lieu of a bug report)
    My MacBook has recently started to go unresponsive (beachball of death), with only cursor movement and the clock indicating it wasn't frozen (Cmd-Opt-Esc didn't work either), forcing me to hard restart. When this happens Activity Monitor shows syslogd hogging all the CPU, and inactive memory climbs until it maxes out after which the fans kick in and soon after the computer goes unresponsive. I checked Console and found a 1GB+ asl.log file (which has now mutated into a new file for each instance), with pages of this message (all same time stamp, 3 examples listed):
    [Time 2007.11.16 03:39:43 UTC] [Facility user] [Sender /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/ATS.framewo rk/Support/ATSServer] [PID -1] [Message FOExceptionMainHandler caught a fatal exception at 0x00018d03;] [Level 3] [UID -2] [GID -2] [Host oli-studholmes-computer]

    My only workaround is to force-kill the syslogd process. Since this happened I've updated from Mac OS X 10.4.10 to 10.4.11, but the problem hasn't stopped. I haven't recently installed any other software.
    I first noticed this trying to open a file containing Japanese text in TextMate, which led me to this page:
    http://d.hatena.ne.jp/hetima/20061102/1162435711#c1184639718
    (basically others having the same problem, using the same workaround, and the last comment saying it also happens in other text editors and looks like a system bug).
    At this time I did a Disk Utility repair which found errors and repaired them (although I had to do the repair via Target Disk Mode as I couldn't boot from the Tiger install DVD and even the verify process would fail due to an underlying process (i think it was diskutil-can't remember) hanging). Also because there was the suggestion of a font problem I checked my fonts with Font Book (all ok), and cleared font caches with Font Finangler (this was all pre-10.4.11 update).
    I'm going to go to the Apple store once I back everything up. I'd be interested if anyone else has seen this, and if so if it was related to Japanese fonts or not.
    peace
    PS how do I prevent Jive from turning all those nice square brackets into links I wonder? the pretag in square brackets doesn't do it, and [code] isn't enabled...
    PPS this link to a [Mac OS X 10.3 ATS Services bug report|http://daringfireball.net/2005/03/fontcaches_gonewild] might also be relevant

  • ORABPEL-05205 Missing BPEL archive file.

    I downloaded and installed Oracle BPEL Process Manager for Developer (10.1.2) ... I am following along with the QuickStart guide. I completed the creation of the myCreditFlow demo with no compilation errors or warnings. I deployed it to the localBPELserver via JDev. From the console I can see that there was an error while loading. When I click on it the error I am receiving is ORABPEL-05205 Missing BPEL archive file. It says to make sure that the process is located in the "C:\OraBPELPM_1\integration\bpelpm\orabpel\domains\default\deploy" directory... I checked and it is there. Any ideas as to what might be causing this issue?

  • Problem with File Handler and log files

    I'm developing a polymorphic structure for file handling specially for the log file for a server based App... Its working fine except for one thing. The log file that goes into the File Handler comes as a parameter to the class, the problem is that when it writes de file, though it DOES know where it should go, it doesn't do it and it writes the message into some other Log file belonging to another process...
    Does someone know how to avoid this or fix it?? any ideas or tips would be great!!

    Immediately below the Tabs saying "Files" and Assets" is a small box
    with arrow on the right to show the drop down list.        In the box
    on the right there's an icon of two networked computers.  Then it
    says, "ftp://Hill farm Web Site"  which is the name of my website.
    If I click on the arrows to pull up the drop-down box,  I get four
    options divided by a line.   Above the line the options are Computer,
    HD and ftp://Hill farm Web Site.  Below the line it says manage sites.
    Below this is list of files that make up my website in a directory
    structure.   The header for the first column reads, "Local Files",
    which appears to be untrue, because the top line in the directory
    structure below reads,  "ftp://Hill farm Web Site".
    Does this help?
    regards
    David

    I have completely uninstalled the HRC, and download from server install again -- still doesn't work with exactly same error.
    this matter only happens on this PC, when user try same thing on other PC, it works.
    so i think it not relate to server or account.

  • Can I modify WLI system Bean's transaction attribute --turn on archiver resulting endless exception in log file

    hi,erveryone,
    one difficult question need help.
    Environment: WLS8.1sp2 + WLI8.1sp2 + ORACLE9i + solaris9
    when I started archiver manually,just for a while, wli system generated about 40,000 JMS messages in
    wli.internal.worklist.timer.queue,and consume the great mass of system resource of Database server,I had to stop these
    archive processes immediately to keep other applicaitons which using the same database running normal. I did so by
    following steps:
    (1) in WLI console, delete wli.internal.worklist.timer.queue;
    (2) in WLI console, reconstruct wli.internal.worklist.timer.queue;
    (3) restart wli server.
    after server was restarted, wli server output endless and repeatly exception to log file ,the typical exception was:

    The wli server generated log file very quickly ,:it can output 1M bytes log file per second,all logged information
    is similar to the <BEA-010049> excetpion metioned above. BEA support engineer suggested me to totally stop the
    archive ,I did so,but the server was still ouput the log file like crazy as before and the normal log information are
    completely override by <BEA-010049> excetpion.
    I checked the EntityEJBs in WLI console :Mywlidomain> Applications> WLI System EJBs> WLI Worklist Persistence$)A#,and
    found that in statistics table :
    ListenerBean : Pool miss ratio = 99.67%, transaction rollback ration = 99.90%,Destory Bean Ratio = 99.48%(see
    attachment)
    WorklistTimerMDB: transaction rollback ratio = 99.97%
    It seems ListenerBean worked incorrectly.I searched in support.bea.com and found one example which also about server
    output endless log file,the author solved this problem by changing Bean's transaction-attribute from 'Required'
    to 'RequiresNew' thought he didn't know why it works. I try this method by changing ListenerBean's
    transaction-attribute from 'Required' to 'RequiresNew'.
    $weblogic_home/integration/lib/wli-ejbs.ear/ejb-jar-generic.xml:
    <ejb-name>CommentBean</ejb-name>
    <method-name>*</method-name>
    </method>
    <trans-attribute>Required</trans-attribute>
    </container-transaction>
    <container-transaction>
    <method>
    <ejb-name>ListenerBean</ejb-name>
    <method-name>*</method-name>
    </method>
    <trans-attribute>RequiresNew</trans-attribute> -----------the default value is Required,I modified it to
    RequiresNew.
    </container-transaction>
    <container-transaction>
    really it works, the log file output resume normal. But there are still some problems:
    (1) this exception is still exist:
    javax.ejb.NoSuchEntityException: [EJB:010140]Bean with primary key: '153.22.52.28-17343c7.10243c3c6ec.a51' not found.
    (2) is this method safe ?(Does "Modify ListenBean's transaction-attribute" impat other parts of wli system?)
    (3) after changed the transaction attribute, if turn on archive again, the server output endless exception:

    Great Lou

    Back up all data to at least two different storage devices, if you haven't already done so. The backups can be made with Time Machine or with a mirroring tool such as Carbon Copy Cloner. Preferably both.
    Boot into Recovery (command-R at startup), launch Disk Utility, and erase the startup volume with the default options.This operation will destroy all data on the volume, so you had be better be sure of your backups. Quit Disk Utility and install OS X. When you reboot, you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup process. That’s when you transfer the data from one of your backups. For details of how this works, see here:
    Using Setup Assistant
    Transfer only "Users" and "Settings" – not "Applications" or "Other files." Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled on the old system. Test. If the problem is still there, you have a hardware fault. Take the machine to an Apple Store for diagnosis.
    If the problem is resolved, reinstall your third-party software cautiously. Self-contained applications that install into the Applications folder by drag-and-drop or download from the App Store are safe. Anything that comes packaged as an installer or that prompts for an administrator password is suspect, and you must test thoroughly after reinstalling each such item to make sure you haven't restored the problem.
    Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.

  • CFMX7 cfserver.log and exception.log files on Linux

    Is there any way to make these log files CF Admin viewer
    friendly in Linux? The CF Admin log viewer doesn't have any sorting
    or filtering capabilities for these files and they start at the
    beginning of the log file. So it'll show me for example, 1 - 40 of
    54376 and I have to hit next, next, next, next, etc... to see the
    most recent activity. There's no last page button, which makes it
    impossible to use. I know I can cat the dang thing to the screen or
    use another linux utility but shouldn't this work in the CF Admin?
    Anyone have a tweak that does this? I'm sure there's an xml
    file somewhere I can change < log-usability
    logfile="exception.log" value="unusable" /> to <
    log-usability logfile="exception.log" value="admin-friendly" />.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to identify exception stack traces in  log files programmatically

    Hello,
    I would like to develop a utility program which audits the command line or log files and detects exceptions.
    Do you know any good way of identifying exception stack traces from a stream?
    Are you aware of any existing tool that does something similar?
    Thank you in advance,
    Kostas

    I tried to copy/paste the entrire log file in the console but it seems that the copy/paste functionality in not included in the console pane.
    Regardless that problem is there any way to do that programmatically from my application?

    You can try this simple fix -
    Quit DW.
    Find this file -
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
    (these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
    Explorer > Tools >
    Folder Options to unhide them)
    and delete it.
    Restart DW. Works better?

  • RMI TCP Connection in a log file - connection count in brackets?

    Hello,
    I have a server whcih logs RMI connections to a file. For example, I can find these kind of log-lines in the file:
    2009-10-19 07:43:33,809 INFO  [RMI TCP Connection(2559)-109.84.36.165] de.test.foo..FooService This is the log messageI wonder what the number in brackets means: (2559)
    Does it represent the number of currently open connections (this would be very bad in my case), or is it just a simple counter to distinguish between different RMI connections in the log file?
    Thanks a lot for your help!

    Hello,
    thanks for your answer, good to hear that it is just a counter. I was not seriously thinking that it was a connection count - but you know, there are moments when I just have to ask to be sure ;)
