Role Expert Profile generation error

Hi All,
I am getting the following error in Role Expert Profile Generation tab.
When i click Generate tab, I am geting "Name or Password is incorrect(Repeat Login)" Can any body explain what user id is generally triggered when generate profile using role expert?

Hi there,
to be more precise. You have to use the password from the account which you use to maintain the roles in the system you want to generate the role.

Role Expert Role Approval Error

Hi ,
When i am trying to change role and click on approval tab in Role Expert....I am getting the following error.
Unknown error occured while performing operation (Service call exception; nested exception is: com.sap.exception.io.SAPIOException: <Localization failed: ResourceBundle='com.sap.exception.io.IOResourceBundle', ID='Could not create SSL socket:java.net.UnknownHostException r--.https', Arguments: []> : Can't find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key Could not create SSL socket:java.net.UnknownHostException r------.https)
Is there some thing we do in Visual Administrator like maintaining destinations...
Please help me with this...

After further investigation of your error, it looks like you are calling the wrong Webservice URI.
Make sure you are using the correct URI in the Configuration - Misc of RE. You have you enter the AEWFRequestSubmissionService_5_2 URI. Copy the shortcut from the Document file.
Try that, and see if it works...

Error in Mass role import in Role Expert

Hi,
While configuring role expert, in mass role import ,I am able to import the bulk download file but its import is getting failed and error is "File is in invalid format"
If I alter the downloaded file, another error is generated saying "Cannot write to Upload Directory
ursula\sap_temp\ROLEIMPORT or Directory does not exist.
Please help me out!

Hi Michael,
I am not able to import the SAP roles properly.
I downloaded the roles from backend properly. But while importing them I am getting a list of backend roles and against each of them following message Error in processing role infomation. Role not imported.
What could be the possible mistake? I have set Upload Directory = ursula\sap_temp.
One more problem, while creating a new role I am able to reach successfully till the risk analysis phase. After that, as soon as I click on approval , i am getting message Error in creating request.
I suppose the control should go to Access Enforcer from here.I have already set AC Workflow URL for role approval in Configuration -> miscellaneous.

Role Profile Generation in BW

Hi,
I created a Role in PFCG with some Authorization Objects like S_RS_COMP1,S_RS_HIER ,S_RS_ICUBE & S_RS_IOBJu2026etc
I generated the profile and tested the role everything is working as expected.
Now I raised a transport for this role and imported that to Test system successfully.
In the Test system the profile which I generated and active in Dev is became inactiveu2026.I re-generated it again and working again
Question is why the Profile is becoming inactive any transported and do I need to Re generate in each system when I import the transport.

=> Take a look at transaction SUPC. There is also a menu path to it in PFCG when you have completed the parent role. Look for "Mass Profile Generation".

Generation of Role in Role Expert

Hi all,
I have created role in Role Expert and after clicking the generation button it is asking UME password
even so i entered the correct password it is showing that name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)

Try creating a user in backend (R/3) and give all authorizations and set the password as well.
Then when it is asked in RE, please enter the password of the above created user in R/3.

Do I need to generate profile seperately for child and parent or only for parent is enough ??

SAP System Message: Syntx error or generation error in a screen

dear sap basis gurus,
i am currently having problems signing on to our DEV server. i get this error message:

Syntx error or generation error in a screen.
it won't let me log on.
there were no changes made on the server (i.e., profile parameters) lately. it was working really fine after our support package level upgrade about 5 months ago.
have you encountered this problem before? please help me as there we have two imminent go-lives.

Compliance Calibrator Design - Roles and Profiles

Hi guys,as you know SAP's authorization concept involves generation of Roles into Profile before it can be assigned to a User. In CC, i wonder why is there a need to segregate Roles and Profiles into 2 seperate functions. Isnt it already sufficient to analyse roles instead of profiles? Profile are names which is too technical which i feel should be omitted unless really necessary.
Well, unless it is to cater for indirect assignment where profiles are granted to position/org unit etc... I will also be trying out whether there is a difference when you only batch analyse a Role and intentionally excluding the 'profile' whenever a new role is created. Will the system work fine when i do a role analysis?

I agree that profiles are old fashioned and should be phased out. The system has to stop people from being able to maintain profiles directly and assign them directly before they do this though. SAP_ALL etc can be converted and assigned as a role. It would make the whole authorisation concept just that little bit easier. We are talking about a German company though!
Also, you don't need profiles for indirect assignment. You can relate roles to the position using PFCG! Click on the organisational management button on the user-tab, next to the user comparison button.
Using profiles (ie, maintaining directly and assignment) is highly recommended against.

Active a role and profile

Hi Experts,
Could you guide me on how to activate a role and profile? Kindly suggest to me the proper procedure of doing this.
One more thing experts do you have any idea on what tcode used to change a password for multiple user's? Could you give to me as well the proper procedure of doing this.

To activate a profile, choose Profile Activate on the Profile List screen. If an active version of the profile exists, you will see the active and maintenance versions of the profile so that you can verify the changes.
New or modified profiles must be activated before they can be assigned to users or become effective in the system.Activation copies the maintenance version of a profile to the active version. If the activated profile already exists in a user master record, the changes to it become effective as each affected user logs onto the system. Changes are not effective for users who are already logged on when the profile is activated.
For it to take effect, you must hand over your role to the User Management Engine. You do so by activating the user role.
To activate a user role, choose Activate User Role ( ). To undo, choose Deactivate User Role.
If u want to change password number of user at a time .For my kind of information its not possible need to change password indivisualy.

Hello Experts,
There are few errors within transaction SMWP:
1. One error on ATTACHMNT_WR object with description "Generation error REPL_TEMPLATE_DEPENDENCY"
2. There are few other errors with message "Generation error REPL_TEMPLATE_SUBCHECK"
3. There are few other errors with message "DDic error for dependent replication objects of publication Complaints and Returns (by Partner Function and Pa"
4. One error with message "RO MSV_CMP_WRITE: Could not determine generated name of LOOKUP TABLE MCMRRL"
Could you please let me know how to proceed to fix these errors?

Note 951826should help here. The first step must be to run
the report in this note. If you still gets the issue with
REPL_TEMPLATE_DEPENDENCY, then please confirm that we can run the
report on the system. You will also need to tell what name you
saved the report as.
Afterwards, generate
in the following order of generators for repl. object ATTACHMENT_WRITE
a) REP_GET_RECEIPIENT
b) REALIGN_CALC_RESP
c) DEPENDENCY_REALIGN
Then generate all the ATTACHMENT_WR repl.obect.
This will usually eliminate some of the other generation errors also.

Tcode authorization without any role or profile

Hi Experts ,
Can you please suggest on authorization issue , if observed that one Tcode not given in to any roles or profile but some user still using this authorization.
When I checked role and profile for such user using the SUIM still it shows no data.
So is there any other way to assign direct Tcode without using any role or profile.

not sure how you are using SUIM to check, just to be sure, use the complex selection method or the authorization values method. the by transaction method only check for transactions that were added via the menu.
look for object= S_TCODE, value=(the transaction code)
SUIM will then calculate if the transaction code was added manually and as part of a wild card or a range.
i.e. if the transaction was MM02 it will be accessible if the S_TCODE had
wild card value M*, MM*, MM0* or
range value A*-Z*
Otherwise, it is possible that it was called indirectly and the BADI does not perform a S_TCODE check.

Webservices roles and profiles r/3

Hi gurus i have a little problem i guess
i develop a web service and i want that an extern client use this webservice.
the basis consultan has created an user and he has assigned the sapall and sap new profile and the role.
the client executes the webservice without problem, but i dont want that the user has this profiles, i need to restric the prmissions of the user created by the basis consultant
and when the basis consultant take out the sap all and sap new profile and assing other profile an role the webservice cant be executed, the error is that the user has not permission to execute the function group zsd001.
Does any one knows which roles and profiles does the basis consultant has to assign to the user?

Report Painter GR214 generation error - Short dump 4.6C

While generating a report with more than twenty sections, the system short dumps with the error message GR214 pointing to "MESSAGE_TYPE_X"
"%_T01JR0 " or "########################################"
"INSERT_ROW_FORMULA_NEW"
Any leads to fix this?
The generation error happens only when I include a last line formula in the last section, Till then it is working fine.

The error you are receiving could be caused by a large number of row blocks in your report definition, (you can check the report definition with report RGRRDC00). A report should not contain too many row and column blocks. It is not possible to give an upper bound for the number of row blocks (since the length of the coding depends on other parts of the report as well). However, even a complicated Report Writer or Report Painter report should not contain more than 50 row blocks, and reports with more than 100 row blocks should not be defined.
In this case the report(s) have to be redefined. Please also refer to the note 387916 for further information regarding this issue.
When there are more than 30 variables in a report, please have a look at the note 332091.
Please reduce the number of row blocks in the report by using the function 'Edit' -> 'Rows' -> 'Explode' in the Report Painter
definition. This function enables several rows to be created for one row block (in the Report Painter definition one row block is just one row). Report Painter (and Report Writer) are designed to display hierarchical reports where the rows in the few row blocks are built up using the 'Explode' function.
