Rounding - Flash Chart - Stacked Horizontal (Percent)

I have a question about the rounding in the Stacked Horizontal (Percent) Flash Chart
I put an example on apex.oracle.com
[http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=15:5|http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=15:5]
My problem is that the value I should have is not rounded properly.
Has mentionned in my example I have 3 values that should give me the following percentages
614 ( 2.997461433 % )
2003 ( 9.778363601 % )
17 867 ( 87.22417497 % )
Total: 20 484
With a precision of 0 digit, I should be getting these values
3
10
87
But insted I get these
2
9
87
With a precision of 1 digit, I should be getting these values
3.0
9.8
87.2
But insted I get these
2.0
9.8
87.2
Anyone know the cause of this problem ?
and also a solution to it?

I know it's been a long time since you posted this but I just wanted to let you know that we found a solution.
Here it is:
Anychart uses StackedHorizontal3DColumn.swf to render the graph.
In apex 3.0 anychart is version 3.3 build #130.
In apex 3.2 anychart is version 3.3 build #212.
There seem to be a bug with the build #212 for the "Stacked Horizontal 3D Column" graph.
We only replaced the new StackedHorizontal3DColumn.swf (from apex 3.2) by the one in apex 3.0 and that solved the problem.
Hope it helps you.

  • How can I display more than 15 rows in a stacked 3D horizontal flash chart

    It seems I cannot display more than 15 rows at a time in a stacked 3D horizontal flash chart.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks, Pierre

    The default history length of a chart is 1024. To make it longer is a right click option.

  • Hide values in Stacked Horizontal 2D Column chart

    Hello. I have created a stacked flash chart, and everything is good except one thing. The values and name of each stacked column is written within the bars of the graph. I have played with all of the variables and can't seem to remove them. I have a legend so I know what the colors are, and the values are listed on the axis, so I don't need the text on top of the actual columns. Plus, they overlap eachother. Any ideas on how to remove this?
    Thanks.

    I created a stacked vertical chart, and it doesn't superimpose text over the bars, which is good... but if the values exceed the axis max val that I defined, the chart changes size (which the horizontal chart doesn't do). It looks like depending on which one you choose, you simply have differing uneditable options.

  • Adding 3 horizontal lines to a  2D Line flash chart

    Hi
    I have a nice 2D Line flash chart. I would like to add three horizontal lines (they are constant values) on the graph. These lines are thresholds for the values displayed on the graph.
    I tried to add trhe series to the graph, it worlks well but the problem is that it slow down too much the process of computing of the chart
    Here is my request, you see with the 3 series added :
    DECLARE
    X VARCHAR2 (4000);
    BEGIN
    x := 'SELECT NULL, TRUNC(DATE1, ''HH''), AVG(VALEUR) "Hauteur",
         (SELECT SEUIL_BAS FROM SIVOA.SITE_ECHELLE WHERE SITE = '''|| UPPER (:p184_ename) ||''') "Seuil bas",
         (SELECT SEUIL_ALERTE FROM SIVOA.SITE_ECHELLE WHERE SITE = '''|| UPPER (:p184_ename) ||''') "Alerte",
    (SELECT SEUIL_ALARME FROM SIVOA.SITE_ECHELLE WHERE SITE = '''|| UPPER (:p184_ename) ||''') "Alarme"
    FROM SIVOA.EVV_'
    || UPPER (:p184_ename) ||
    ' WHERE CLEF_VAR = (SELECT CLEF_VAR FROM SIVOA.SITE_ECHELLE WHERE SITE = '''
    || UPPER (:p184_ename) ||
    ''') AND DATE1 BETWEEN TO_DATE ('''

    ||:P8_DATE_FIN  ||'235959'', ''DD/MM/YYYYHH24MISS'')
    GROUP BY TRUNC(DATE1, ''HH'')
    ORDER BY TRUNC(DATE1, ''HH'')';
    RETURN (X);
    END;Is there a way to add 3 lines without using a query ?
    Thank you for your kindness !
    Christian

    Hi,
    I have not solved but found an improvement, I select a constant from a table. This constant is displayed along the horizontal axis.
    Example of constant :
    (SELECT SEUIL_BAS FROM SIVOA.SITE_ECHELLE WHERE SITE = '''|| UPPER (:p184_ename) ||''') "Seuil bas",
    DECLARE
    X VARCHAR2 (4000);
    BEGIN
    x := 'SELECT NULL, TRUNC(DATE1, ''HH''), AVG(VALEUR) "Hauteur",
    (SELECT SEUIL_BAS FROM SIVOA.SITE_ECHELLE WHERE SITE = '''|| UPPER (:p184_ename) ||''') "Seuil bas",
    (SELECT SEUIL_ALERTE FROM SIVOA.SITE_ECHELLE WHERE SITE = '''|| UPPER (:p184_ename) ||''') "Alerte",
    (SELECT SEUIL_ALARME FROM SIVOA.SITE_ECHELLE WHERE SITE = '''|| UPPER (:p184_ename) ||''') "Alarme"
    FROM SIVOA.EVV_'
    || UPPER (:p184_ename) ||
    ' WHERE CLEF_VAR = (SELECT CLEF_VAR FROM SIVOA.SITE_ECHELLE WHERE SITE = '''
    || UPPER (:p184_ename) ||
    ''') AND DATE1 BETWEEN TO_DATE ('''
    ||:P8_DATE_DEBUT||'000000'', ''DD/MM/YYYYHH24MISS'') AND TO_DATE ('''
    ||:P8_DATE_FIN ||'235959'', ''DD/MM/YYYYHH24MISS'')
    GROUP BY TRUNC(DATE1, ''HH'')
    ORDER BY TRUNC(DATE1, ''HH'')';
    RETURN (X);
    END;
    Perhaps a way is to customize the XML code generated.

  • Show Values option is disabled for Stacked Horizontal 3D Chart

    Hi,
    I am trying to display some data using Stacked Horizontal 3D chart. However I dont want to show the values on the chart.
    Though I could find a "Show Values" checkbox in chart attributes section, this options is always disabled and unchecked. Though its unchecked, the values are always displayed on this chart.
    The sample page I am talking about is hosted at http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=26556:2:72035498235854:::::
    I don't want to show the text on chart bars.
    Can any one help with this?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Harish

    Hi Harish,
    I think that it is ignoring any setting relating to the "Name" properties of a chart bar/column. According to [http://3.anychart.com/products/docs/anychart/index.htm] you should be able to switch these off (set Use Custom XML to Yes to play with these settings). You should also be able to switch off the "Value" property as well, but the only thing that seems to work is to add a prefix/postfix string around it - otherwise, you can not adjust the setting at all :(

  • How to remove values data points from Apex3 Flash Chart

    Well going in point by point and deleting is certainly one way of going about it. Of course that would defeat the entire purpose of having this great programming enviroment that is capable of doing that kind of thing for us.
    Is your text file small enough to upload? Obviously you know what the criteria are for judging whether or not a data point is acceptable so it should be simple enough to program. Give us a bit more information and I can assure you there will be a race between LabVIEW experts to see who can post the cleanest, simplest, and fastest piece of code that will do what you need. My wager is on altenbach, but there are a few others here that are almost as impressive.

  • Dynamically set flash chart height?

    Hi,
    I have a flash chart that includes a selector that alters the query for the chart. Depending on what the user selects, the chart shows a different number of rows (this happens to be a stacked horizontal bar chart, but this could apply to any chart type). I would like to be able to dynamically set the chart height based on the number of rows the query returns. If I set it too small and the user makes a choice that returns a larger number of rows, the chart bars are compressed to the point where the labels are unreadable or omitted altogether. Conversely, if I set the height to a larger value and the user makes a selection that results in a small number of rows, the chart is overly extended and hard to read.
    I am able to calculate what I'd like the chart height to be using a page item and a before header process. But I can't figure out how to pass this value to AnyChart. I tried using an item substitution (e.g., &P7_CHART_HEIGHT.) as the value for the chart height on the Chart Attributes/Chart Settings page, but this attribute requires a non-zero numeric value. I tried to figure out if I could alter the chart XML, but could not figure out how to do it and I'm not sure item substitutions would be passed in the XML anyway.
    Is there a way to dynamically set the height attribute of a chart at page load time?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    You can update the Region Source of your chart, replacing the substitution strings *#HEIGHT#* with the reference to your page item *&P7_CHART_HEIGHT.*. So your chart region source should then look something like the following(note that I've trimmed some lines for display purposes), and when the chart is run it will pick up your setting for the height, based upon the value returned from your Before Header process:
    <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"

  • Flash chart and names

    Hello everybody,
    I'm using an stacked 2D colum flash chart in my application in order to show all errors occuring through a week. Everything works fine, the data is showing up, but there's still one little problem:
    The bars of the chart are shown with their names and values on them. But I want to hide this information and just show the bars.
    If I use a stacked 3D column, the names aren't displayed. I guessed, that I could fix this, by using a custom XML and change some settings, but I can't figure out, which is the correct one.
    Here's the XML, I use, it's the standard presented to my by Apex. I'm using Apex version 3.1.1.00.09, with the standard anychart, delievered with it. And I can't update it with the anychart integration kit...

    Greetings
    Holger

    Hi Dird,
    sorry for my late response, but my lovely company denies the access to image hosting sites. So I had to do this at home during the weekend and there I couldn't have a look once more at my app, so it took until today :-)
    I've seen, that you're not using anychart in the "standard" version that comes along with Apex, right? So it's good to know, that my XML works fine with a newer version, but I'ver got to use the version, deployed with the Apex package.
    So, is there any chance, to get rid of the names on the bars with the standard version? Or do I have to wait for the next Apex version, or buy me the new anychart license?! Can anybody help please?
    Thanks
    Holger

  • Apex 4 - Flash Chart - How to open link in same page

    Hi,
    I need help in apex flash chart development. I want to open link in same page. Currently it open in new window with existing page intact
    I have created a flash chart.
    Below are setting
    Chart Type 2D line
    Series Type : Line
    Series siurce : sql query
    elect '?p=&APP_ID.:2:&APP_SESSION.::::P2_ORACLESID,P2_CAP_DATE:&P15_ORACLESID.,'||capture_date link,
    capture_date,
    round(sum(TOTAL_MB)) "Total_MB" ,
    round(sum(USED_MB)) "Used_MB" ,
    round(sum(FREE_MB)) "Free_MB"
    from SST.TABLESPACE_USAGE_HIST
    where DBNAME = :P15_ORACLESID
    group by capture_date
    order by capture_date
    Problem: when I run this page, chart is displayed. Now if I click on the series value of chart, it opens page ( '?p=&APP_ID.:2:&APP_SESSION.::::P2_ORACLESID,P2_CAP_DATE:&P15_ORACLESID.,'||capture_date link) It opens page 2 in new window. I want it to open in same window. Am I missing something ? Is this possible ? Is there anything I can change to achive this functionality
    Please help

    Hi All,
    I have an issue with Anychart link, can you please help me.
    1. I have created HTML region in a page with
    <div id="sampleClick">
    <div id="sample1">
    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
    function ChartSample()
    var ChartSample = new AnyChart('/i/flashchart_v5/swf/AnyChart.swf');
    ChartSample.width = "500";
    ChartSample.height = "400";
    var ChartData = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,
    'APPLICATION_PROCESS=FINANCE_020',0);
    gReturn = ChartData.get();
    // prompt("xml",gReturn);
    ChartSample.setData(gReturn);
    ChartSample.write("sample1");
    ChartSample();
    </script>
    2. Then created Application process with "On Demand Run this application process when requested by a page process." in PL/SQL Anonymous block
    select 'f?p=&APP_ID.:136:&APP_SESSION.::::P33_ID:' || YEAR link,DECODE(period,1,'JAN',2,'FEB',3,'MAR',4,'APR',5,'MAY',6,'JUN',7,'JUL',8,'AUG',9,'SEP',10,'OCT',11,'NOV',12,'DEC')||'-'||year "MONTH",round(SUM(ytd_revenue)/1000000,2) YTD_REV from t_tc_qpcq2052
    where cntry='IND' and category='20'
    GROUP BY year, period
    ORDER BY YEAR, period
    I am able to see the chart, but I am not able to open or pass the value from one page to another page when I click the bar chart.
    Can you please help me on this.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Flash chart with dynamic sql query does not display

    Hi,
    In my schema SIVOA I have a lot of tables declared like this :
      CREATE TABLE "SIVOA"."EVV_xxxx"
       (     "CLEF_VAR" NUMBER(4,0),
         "DATE1" DATE,
         "VALEUR" NUMBER(16,8) Only the last part of the name changes "xxxx". For example E009, E019, etc....
    I am making a chart page with report and want the user to select a name of a table and I will display using dynamic sql query, the table report and chart.
    P184_ENAME is a select list returning the last part of the name of the table, fro example 'E009', 'E019', etc.
    P8_CLEF_VAR is an item containing a value. This value is a key retrieved like this :SELECT CLEF_VAR
    FROM SIVOA.SITE_ECHELLE
    WHERE SITE = :P184_ENAMEI built a classic report using a sql dynamic function :DECLARE
    x VARCHAR2 (4000);
    BEGIN
    x := 'SELECT NULL, DATE1, VALEUR FROM SIVOA.EVV_'
    || UPPER(:p184_ename)
    || ' WHERE CLEF_VAR = :p8_clef_var' ;
    RETURN (x);
    END;:p8_clef_var is an itme containing the value '4544'.
    This works perfectly fine !
    When I use this sql fucytion into a flash chart it does not work. I get this message "No data found".
    I do not understand why a the report get a result and not the chart !
    But if i hard-code the number of the CLEF_VAR instead of fetching it from :p8_clef_var I get a nice chart ! Go figure !DECLARE
    x VARCHAR2 (4000);
    BEGIN
    x := 'SELECT NULL, DATE1, VALEUR FROM SIVOA.EVV_'
    || UPPER(:p184_ename)
    || ' WHERE CLEF_VAR = 4544 ' ;
    RETURN (x);
    I cannot stay with the key (CLEF_VAR) hard-coded unformtunately !
    My question is how to get the chart displaying properly ??
    Thank you for your kind answers.

    Alex,
    Using your request, with the classic report I get results (data), but I get the same message with the Flash chart : "No data found" ! I don't know how to investigate this. i tried many things but nothing works.
    Christian
    PS I tried this :
    DECLARE
       X   VARCHAR2 (4000);
    BEGIN
    x := 'SELECT NULL, DATE1, ROUND(VALEUR,2) FROM SIVOA.EVV_'
          || UPPER (:p184_ename) ||
          ' WHERE CLEF_VAR = '
          || :p8_clef_var ||
          ' AND DATE1 BETWEEN TO_DATE ('''
    ||:P8_DATE_DEBUT||''', ''DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI'') AND TO_DATE ('''
    ||:P8_DATE_FIN||''', ''DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI'')'
    RETURN (X);
    END; But it does not work either. I could find that the SLQ syntax generated is good becaus I put it into an item which display the return done by the pls/sql.
    What is sttange also with the classic report is that if I do click on next or previous to see another rows, I get the message "No data found". If I try to export the report I get an excel file with "No data fouid".
    Does anybody already tried my "need" here ? i find strange thant I should not be the firs one trying to get a report an tables which name would be "dynamic".
    Tahnk you.

  • Flash Chart Labels Overlap

    Hello,
    I have created the 3D Pie Flash Chart in APEX 3.2. The labels overlap each other where the pie slice is small. Is there a way for me to fix this issue?
    Regards,
    Kelly

    Hi Anil,
    I have seen similar behaviors in 2D Column Charts. What I have found is that most often, for me, the issue has been that the chart is not wide enough. This is not specifically an APEX issue but rather a Flash issue. When the chart exceeds the dimensions that you specify for the chart, the charting engine must squish some part of the chart. Most often, the labels are what get removed, in my experience.
    There are options to investigate this. You can make the chart wider in APEX and see if the problem goes away. You could rotate your X-Axis text by 45 degrees or so to see if they all appear. I have also seen the labels appear when you use your browser to zoom feature. This is a Flash behavior as well. If you zoom your browser to 200%, you may see more of your labels.
    Finally, it would appear from your sample data set, that you may not be getting stacked column. Is that the case? If you are getting a single column for each record in your data set, then you probably have 36 columns on your chart which is a lot. You will need to make the chart very wide in APEX and possibly rotate the labels.
    If you need help with anything else, just ask.
    Austin

  • Chart type for Flash Chart

    Hello everybody,
    I'm trying to evaluate whether it's possible to use APEX for an application that I'm going to develop.
    Therein I want to use several charts for displaying database content.
    One of the charts I need is a combination of stacked charts with lines, but I can't find this type of chart in the "native" APEX-chart-collection. Is there anything available I missed at first sight?
    Thanks in advance

    Michael,
    That is a limitation of APEX default charts which cannot combine types. However, the post by Dimitri Gielis might on [Anychart 5 integration kit for APEX|http://dgielis.blogspot.com/2008/11/anychart-5-integration-kit-for-apex.html] might be what you're looking for. This commercial version of AnyChart can do a lot of things including the combination of types you're looking for. BTW, the free flash chart in APEX is based on an older version of AnyChart.

  • Dynamic series in flash chart & color specified for each series

    Example of data:
    Date     Series 1     Series 2     Series 3     Series 4     Series 5     Series 6     Series 7     Series 8
    A     12     22     23     22     22     10     10     10
    B     10     9     55     8     8     20     20     20
    C     55     2     5     88     5     15     15     15
    In excel, I can get a stacked horizontal bar chart with the numbers of different series stacked and it is easy to specify the color for each series (it works with Dephi aslo).
    I use a PL/SQL to generate the dynamic series for the chart. And in my application, I need to show some serires with the same color (group of series, each has a specified color). One of the solution I am trying is to input a fixed color sequence and loop it many times in the custom color theme and then insert dummy series into the SQLS. But this could be a disaster while the number of group goes up.
    Anyone has better idea on this? Or is this a limiation of apex?
    Thanks.

    As I tried, apex can support 300 series at most. Dynamic series here is not a good solution still.

  • Drill Down Flash Charts dont refresh in IE

    Hi Friends,
    I am facing a typical issue when I have drill down charts in IE.
    To mimic the scenario that I am facing in my project I have created a sample project in my workspace ntekupal with login guest/apex_demo. Run the application project Emp Dept Dashboard.
    Note : Make sure you use IE to reproduce this issue
    Issue Reproduction :
    1) Select 'Accounting' department from the Departments bar chart by double clicking it(this is one more issue in IE which really annoys me).
    2) Navigate to Employees chart and observe that the Deptno text box shows '10' with the list of employees in the bar chart for Deptno - 10.
    3) Go back to previous page using breadcrumbs.
    4) Select 'Research' and it would again put you back to Employees page showing employee list for Deptno - 20.
    5) Now repeat step-3 and select again 'Accounting'
    6) Observe that the employees shown are not for Accounting Department. It is still showing for Research but the deptno text box would show the value 10(which is correct).
    7) Refresh the page then the employee bar chart would display the actual employees in Research deptmnt.
    Now run the same application in Mozilla and it works perfect.
    I know this could be some caching issue in IE but not sure how to fix this.
    It really freaks me out and my users do not wan to use Mozilla. In my project I am using a bunch of flash charts(bar & pie).
    I appreciate if I can get some of your precious inputs on this situation.
    Thanks,
    Raj.

    I have to, respectfully, take the opposite point of view on this topic. It is very much the applications responsibility to communicate to the browser that the page is dynamic. There are even meta tags specifically for this purpose.
    That said, I concur to the true underlying concern of the above two posts that you would not want a page updating any IE global settings.
    There are commonly two solutions used to solve page caching issues:
    1) There are meta tags shared disparately by certain browsers to disable cacheing, set expiration dates, and similar activities. Each browser honors the settings differently, however, you can safely "stack" several versions together and there are web-sites that suggest the appropriate combination to hit the major browsers.
    The tags to look for are CACHE-CONTROL, EXPIRES, REVISIT, and possibly others. Look them up under each browsers developer documentation as some variation exists in usage. The latter two are for search engines, but several of the browsers will use them in normal page hits.
    That said, IE inconsistently honors these tags, even from version to version, so,
    2) The end-all hack solution is to include a random value in the URL to create a unique URL on each attempt to access the page. Normally this can be achieved through a page or application item that is update on every page view and is passed on the URL line.
    This solution is also commonly used because Proxy's may not honor the tag and so will continue to re-send the proxy version every time the browser requeries.
    Whether this is possible in the Chart drill down I do not know as I haven't used this feature yet, but these are the two solutions you will find browsing the web against page caching.
    I have invariably always had to resort to (2) to get absolutely real time data, unless I am in a corporate environment that used a standard and stable version of the browser.
    Under no circumstances would I prefer to set the IE's always retrieve latest page setting, as this affects every page that IE requests.
    Hope this is helpful,
    Barney
