Route planning

Hi, I have a problem to design a route planning algorithm. First, i want the panel to draw some circle when I click somewhere on the panel. the circle should be filled with color and there is a number represent on it, the number increase as i click more. like 1, 2, 3 and so on. After the panel contain all the circle I want, they are node to me, and when i click any two of them, a line can draw between them.
I am new to Java 2D and swing, so can anyone give me some help here. Hope i make my problem clear

Hi,
Yes it is possible to plan the trucks to optimize the percentage utilization.
to achieve this you have to configure capacity utilization cost in your planning profile. You have to use cost function in your planning profile with the correct cost setup relevant to your business scenario.
To understand more in details you can refer to really nice blog by Thomas.

  • No route planning in version 3.08 11wk41 b02

Why the current version of nokia maps does not offer the route planning possibility? It is obvoius, that every user wants to plan his route, check the distance and choose the intermediary points! The level of the application is now childish, without many options. I choose the Nokia (C7) phone only because it offered an advanced, functional navigation with maps of the whole world. Symbian is not very exciting. With such a navigation as this one many users will definitely change their phones to Android devices. Will the route planning come back soon or is it possible to downgrade the maps apllication?

You talk about searching one place and not about route planning from one to another place, also with intermediary points. I Came back to version 3.07 and I am happy again. The question is if in Belle I can keep this version..?
I suspect you'll get no choice with Belle - I belive 3.08 is now the "retail offering" so, I would have thought Belle will impose it.
Sorry to say, but for me, personally, if that's the case, it will be a show-stopper for me upgrading to Belle on my N8.
3.06 of maps has all the features I need and want, along with the configuration options for them. I'm not willing to sacrifice that, so won't be doing anything that imposes moving from 3.06 of maps, until the newer offering fixes / reinstates all they broke / removed.
That to me is a real shame, for me, Nokia / OVI maps is the killer app for Nokia handsets for me. The way the product is going, if that's not addressed, and I can either easily continue with 3.06, or the newer version(s) sufficiently fixed to make them work and function as good, then I'll not be upgrading, and when my mobile contract is due for renewal, probably choose an Android handset.

  • Route plan question

We have two offices that will be consolidated in to one office within the same city. The existing offices are in the same area code. The new office will be in a different area code.  According to ATT, the DIDs cannot be ported to the new office.
Each office has its own Route Plan (in Call Manager) and voice gateway.
For the new office, we will be installing a single Cisco 2851 for the VG/PRI and a Cisco 2951 for the data network (via MPLS).  We want the network and telecommunications ready before staff move in to the new office.
My question is, can we or should we re-configure the existing route plans to reflect the new circuit/DIDs?  Should we create a new route plan?  What would be the best course of action for this move?
I don't have a lot of experience with route plans and VG setups so we plan on engaging a contractor for this project.
Any comment or suggestions you may have will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hey Richard,
Personally, I would create another dialplan and then use the bat tool to move the phones from one dialplan to another as the changes are made.  If you're not experienced with doing this, I would concur with your decision to hire outside help to do this.
On another note, you could easily use a single 2951 for both the voice gateway and the mpls router.  These isrs are made to serve double duty.
    hth,
    Rick

  • N95 route planning not very optimal?

    Hi All,
Well, I'm getting along fine with the N95 but I have noticed that the route planning isn't as good as I thnk it should be.
The route I've noticed this most on is from St Ives in Cornwall back home to Reading. Both Google Maps, The AA's website and my old GPS mapping software (ViaMichelin's MapSonic) pick a route up the A30, M5 and M4 giving a travel time of between 4 and 5 hours.
However, Nokia Maps gives me a route that avoids the M4 completely (it still uses a bit of the M5 though, so I have motorways "on" ;-) ) and with a time estimate of 8.5hrs!
    This seems way off :-(
Does anyone know where I can check for a new version of the map software that hopefully addresses these deficiencies or if there are options in the program that can be used to tweak the speeds on various types of road?
In Maps, Options > About tells me I'm using "v3.0 wk09 b02 OpenGL OpenBit MN"
Is that the latest for the N95? If not, where can I look to get a newer version?
I tried both http://www.smart2go.com/en/download/ and http://nokia.com/maps, but neither even listed the N95. Why is that?

I have been using Smart2go on my N80 with an external gps. Works well but as you said, route planning is sometimes questionable. However, I think it is still pretty good for what it is. Another area that could be improved is the voice guidance which only seems to give instructions when you need to venture of the straight route, as in, it does not tell you to "go straight at the next traffic light".

  • Nokia 6288 route planning software

    Hello everybody,
I am interested to find some route planning software for Nokia 6288 (Series 40 Operating System).
At least I would like to know if exists.
Because all I found were for Symbian (S60) operating system.
I search for some software that can be deployed on the memory card and can work autonomously (without internet connection, etc). Only a GPS sensor must be attached to the phone.
Does anybody knows of souch a software?
    Thanks in advance,
    Bogdan Olariu

No - the are no route planning software for Series 40 JAVA phones as far as I know. Mobile Gmaps is the best there is.
JAVA apps are limited in size, typically no bigger than 512KB - so all map data and so on needs to be pulled over GPRS. Placing map/route data into the JAVA app is thus not possible as it will never fit into 512KB.

  • Blackberry maps Maps route planning

Would it be possible to add a starting point (other than the one given by the gps) when planning a route in blackberry maps?
    Thank you for your support

Here is one way to do it.
Search on the address or touch location on map. Tap to get place details. Tap 3 dot icon bottom right. Tap plan route. Tap the reverse route icon. Tap My Location. Enter search term or address.....
I don't see an easier way to do it.

  • Route Planning on 5800xpressmusic

Can anyone help me?  I recently bought a 5800 and have successfully installed Ovi Maps.  I would like to plan my routes on my phone by inputting the postcodes of my starting point and destination.  Can it be done without having to zoom in on the map all the time as i am finding that some destinations are not on the maps.  Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

It would be downloaded to phone memory. The routes would show on the routes section of favorites, and favorites in the favorites section. They could also be edited in the Location app in your phone.
Standard data charges apply for sync, but you can do it in a wifi hotspot to avoid charges.
If you find my post helpful please click the green star on the left under the avatar. Thanks.

  • Looking for a Mapping/Route Planning program for my Macbook Pro...

I use to use "Streets & Trips" on my PC.  I am at a loss what is a good program for Apple.
    Would appreciate any guidance.  Thanks.

GPS device?  You might be able to guess that I am not the sharpest (computer) tool in the shed...
Previously, my Streets & Trips program came with a GPS antenna that I plugged in to my old laptop.  I could then use my laptop as a supersized GPS, like a TomTom or Garmin.
Right. I am not familiar with Streets and Trips and the GPS device that came with it but I think that is specific to Microsoft. You can get a similar device that plugs into your Mac the same as the Streets and Trips Device plugged into your PC. The navigation software comes with it or you can download the software.
Use Google to find Mac compatible devices. I think CoPilot Live, TomTom, and Garmin have compatible devices. But I use my phone for navigation so am not 100% sure that each of those companies have Mac compatible navigation packages that are similar to Streets and Trips.

  • Using a garmin sat nav device, when planning a route on the mac it always defaults to the same far away location as the starting point. How can I change this?

Whenever I start route planning using Garmin Connect, the map opens at the same distant location every time, by default. How can I change this and make it open at my own location?

    Hello Cgifford,
    Welcome to National Instruments Forums.
To output your signal to the PFI lines,
you can use external connectios between OUT0 and PFI lines. You can also use
the backplane to do so by routing into the same RTSI line.
    1)
On the SCOPE and FGEN, the name of the
terminals are actually “PXI Trigger Line x/RTSIx” but on the 6602 you might
need to route the signal using the property:
You can also use the DAQmx route signal which perform the same opperation.
    2)
This will depend on the frequency of
your pulse train. If this is lower than about 10 ms, then you can probably
place this on a loop and start and stop the acquisition every time. If the
frequency is higher than this, you will have to use:
    -       Scripting on the FGEN side (read more)
    -       MultiRecord Fetch (more information in the scope help file
section “Acquisition Functions Reading versus Fetching”).
    3)
The short answer is yes. The longer one
might depend on how tight you need the synchronization to be (us, ns, ps). For
very tight synchronization, you should look into here.

  • Planning a route for HERE Maps/Drive+ Beta

I would like to plan a route with multiple route points in advance and save the planned route to HERE Maps or HERE Drive+ Beta. Is that possible?
The route can be made with here.com webpage, but is it possible to import a route to my Lumia 920? When the route is saved to a collection in my nokia account, it is not shown in the mobile phone.
    Phone: Lumia 920
    Software: The newest
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Sorry, I'd like to unresolve this. The workaround mentioned is not a solution.
I travel to loads of places by motorcycle, and going off the beaten track is wonderful. Since I upgraded My E6-00 and C7-00 to a Lumia 920, I'm back to allowing the SatNav (phone) to decide where I go. Boring dual carriageways and bypasses are now my natural habitat - bah humbug. Afterall, the phone is in my pocket (safe from weather), headphones in my helmet - I can't constantly look at a map. Having multiple 'favourites' and planning from one to the next isn't workable. Fair enough the Lumia 920 is usable with gloves on (major plus for a biker, come on you marketing people!) but I don't fancy re-routing all the time by the side of a road.
I'm also planning a charity cycle ride over 100s of miles this Summer, and while that can be done in BikeRouteToaster, Google Maps etc, there is no import function into 'HERE' that I can see. It's impossible to plan a route on the device itself. Yes it can route walker (I can't seem to get turn by turn working for that, but nevermind), public transport and car, I have an option to avoid motorways etc, but cycle route planning needs consideration for height metres, unpaved/paved roads (Google StreetView etc used a lot to find a Sustrans route is actually unfit for road bikes) etc. So.. Importing a route planned elsewhere (gpx, kml or something) would be a real alternative, or a workaround. Asking the device to do its own planning from one point to another really isn't workable.
Please make the Nokia's USP an actual USP again?

  • In FX 8 (WinXP and Linux) I'm not able to change a route of the Google Maps routeplanner via drag&drop, the markers of start and destination don't appear and therefore cannot be moved, either.

Usually (IE, Firefox 7 and below) if you go along the blue line of a route planned by Google Maps, a small circle appears which can be dragged and dropped to other roads so that the routeplanner changes the route. This is impossible with Fx 8, the circle doesn't appear and when trying to drag&drop I only move the map. The same applies to the markers which mark the start and destination of the route, they are not visible and cannot be moved. Disabling Adblock and Firegestures didn't solve the problem.
When the page is loading for a moment you can see the symbol for an image which is not yet loaded both where the markers should be and if you go along the line with the mouse. As soon as the page is completely loaded you don't see this anymore.

  • Route Pattern/Filter Issues

Hello - I had a question that I was hoping someone could help me with. I recently had an issue on CallManager 4.1.3sr6a. I have 10 sites, each using their own set of 6 9.@ route patterns for outgoing calls. Although the patterns are distinct, they all use the same route filters. Today, all of the sites began matching on the route pattern with the seven digit filter rather than matching on the long distance filter when a 91XXXXXXXXXX number was dialed (we tested with a number of numbers in different area codes). I wasn't able to input more digits after the 7th and DNA confirmed that it matched on the seven digit filter. The filters are as follows:
Long Distance =(AREA-CODE EXISTS AND LONG-DISTANCE-DIRECT-DIAL EXISTS)
    SevenDigit = (LOCAL-AREA-CODE DOES-NOT-EXIST AND INTERNATIONAL-DIRECT-DIAL DOES-NOT-EXIST AND AREA-CODE DOES-NOT-EXIST AND SERVICE DOES-NOT-EXIST).
I was able to resolve the issue by going to each site, removing the long distance 9.@ pattern and simply readding it (no changes were made to configuration).
It was like it just stopped seeing all patterns using the long distance filter.
I'm wondering if anyone is aware of a bug that may have caused this.
    Thanks very much!
