RS482, Pin connectors and onboard...

Ok, so I need to replace my power supply with one thats more powerfull in order to run my Nvidia 7600GT properly.
Does the RS482 use a 20 or 24 pin connector? Also, when i plug my 7600GT into the board, the onboard GFX will disable automatically, right?

I suspect there are 6 wires in the cable (I won't know unequivocally until I actually cut the cable....:-) My question is which wires to wrap together for each of the 2 speaker ports so I get a stereo input? Or is there a better way to do this?

Duane- Thanks for the welcome! I'm a pretty decent carpenter but I've never done anything like this before. I had thought I could just go from the speaker output ports on amp my turntable is attached to. However, someone at work today said I will need an analog to digital converter (duh). So I will be trying to find a diagram or description of exactly how to do this and do a search on the converter box.
Any suggestions or observations would be most helpful!

more or less to adapt the here is the crude way to do it. DO AT YOUR OWN RISK. . Check to see if you have some slack from /8-/4" of an in in cable is going bye bye.2. Cut all the wires or the cable with all the colored ones in them about /2-" up the line.3. Strip exposed ends as to allow splicing on the Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, Black, and brown cables only.4. on the plug side twist together these wire colors [The should always be back to back]:?Blue and Green??Yellow and Orange5. Splice the wires together from plug piece to wires goint to front:??[Blue+Green {Step 4}] to just the Blue Wire?The Purple and Navy Blue that went into the hole next to plugged are not used trim all off plug.

Have you tried resetting both the iPod and dock? To reset the iPod, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
To reset the dock, unplug it and plug it back in.

Blu-ray with separate 4-pin and 39-pin connector on a new Mac Pro ?

I have a 2007 blu-ray burner I am trying to install as the 2nd drive in my new 12-core Mac Pro. But how to you connect it (it has separate 4-pin power and 39-pin connector) ? Any feedback would sure be appreciated.

The drive is PATA. Older Mac Pros uses PATA optical drives but newer Mac Pros use SATA. There are adapters

The adapter was intended for hard drives but should also work with optical drives. You may want to check with Sonnet before buying to see if it works with Blu-ray drives

Control Connector (15 pin) Checking the Dir(CW) Pin#4 and Dir(CCW) pin#12

Hi,
I want to check the output (digital 5V) from my Control Connector in the UMI-7774 on Axis#1.
The Control Connector (15 pin) has Dir(CW) Pin#4 and Dir(CCW) pin#12
which i need to connect to my Servo motor drive (Forward and Reverse inputs in the Motor Drive, Both 24VDC).
I connect these pins : Dir(CW) Pin#4 and Dir(CCW) pin#12 to the Forward and Reverse inputs in the Motor Drive,
I use a 24vdc relay with 5v coil (of the relay), and as i test it in Motion Assistant the Servo motor NOT MOVE !
So, i wanted to test if the Dir(CW) Pin#4 and Dir(CCW) pin#12 actually output 5v and i connect for each one led (with resistor).
The circuit i connect for testing that is this:
[pin#11 (Digital ground) ] ---- [LED] ---- [RESISTOR] ---- [pin#4 Dir(CW) ]
same for pin#12 Dir(CCW)
i start Motion assistant for Simple move. Straigh Line Move. I hit "Start" and Nothing.. The Servo Motor doest move.
Please Note that the encoder of the Servo Works Fine. When i move manualy(by hand) the Motor
I see in the MAX that the encoder position changes.
In Addition, When i input 24vdc into the Motor Drive,
(i connect the 24vdc common into the Forward Input of the Motor Drive, in order to set the Motor Drive to Move Always Forward)
and then use the MAX or other Sample Program For simple move on One-Axis its work,
The Servo Motor Run and stops, i get the values from the encoder, the servo move.
BUT, why i cant move the Servo when the Dir(CW) Pin#4 and Dir(CCW) pin#12 connected Directly (through 24vdc relay offcurse)
To the Motor drive as it should be.

I see no one has responded to your multiple posts over the past few days. I'll try to help but I have no experience with the UMI-7774.
1. Could you please edit your diagram to show exactly how the relay contacts and coils are wired up. My intuiation is that the signals coming out of the UMI are inadequate to turn on the relays. A clear wiring diagram will help me figure out what may be happening.
2. What is the manufacturer and model number of the relays used. Or also provide a web link to a data sheet if possible.
3. What is the manufacturer and model number of the 3rd party servo drive.

Kintex 7(XC7K160T-2fbga484) transceiver differential pins MGTXTXP1_115 and MGTXTXN1_115 are connected inversely to the SFP+ connector.
Pin MGTXTXP1_115 is connected to SFP TXN pin of sfp connector.
Pin MGTXTXN1_115 is connected to SFP TXP pin of sfp connector.
By miss,i have routed it reversely. What are problems i can expect from this and please suggest some solutions for the same.

NX6800GT-T2D256E, Power supply and 6-pin connector

My NX6800GT-T2D256E came with a power adapter: 2x 4-pin Molex to a 6-pin connector that goes into the VGA-Card.
I've noticed that I have an identical 6-pin connector directly on my power supply (a Cieftec GPS-400AA-101A)
According to the power supply's manual, it is a PCI power connector, seemingly for powering PCI-express VGA cards.
Of course I want to use that connector, as it seems to be the ideal way of powering the card, but first I compared the pin configuration to make sure it is the same thing - and found a slight difference.
On the Adapter supplied with the card, 1 of the pins is empty (not connected) while on the connector from my power supply it is connected to +12V
Basically the pin configuration looks like this:
1 4
2 5
3 6
On the adapter supplied with the card they are:
1: +12V
2: NOT CONNECTED
3: +12V
4: Ground
5: Ground
6: Ground
On the power supply they are:
1: +12V
2: +12V
3: +12V
4: Ground
5: Ground
6: Ground
Can I safely use the connector from my power supply or could the additional +12V damage my VGA card?

Your PC has a standard ATX power supply and physical sizes will vary slightly. You might want to measure the dimensions of your power supply. Normally the standard ATX PSU will measure 5.9" by 5.5" by 3.4". You don't want to get too far away from the dimensions of your PSU since the HP mini-tower cabinets are very tight inside. I prefer the modular model PSUs to help with excess cabling issues. www.newegg.com has many good brands. Not all PSUs are created equal. Look at the warranty period, amperage on the 12+ volt bus, specification level, i7 support, efficiency rating etc..
OCZ, Enermax, Corsair and Rosewill are all good brands as is Thermaltake.

Thanks for the question. The iPod nano 7th generation has bluetooth functionality that can connect to the Nike+ sensor. You do not need to purchase the USB kit, but rather just the sensor itself:
