Run program wihtout all of NIDaq and NIMotion

One of our former developers wrote a LV 8.2 exe that controls an NIDaq card and an NIMotion card and stores the results in an SQL table. We now have people that do not have the full hardware setup wanting to see the results with this program. We installed the EXE and the LV 8.2 Runtime on their computer however we get promted by the program that it cannot find "nilvaiu.dll" and "FlexMotion32.dll" which are part of NI Motion and NI Daq.
When I install NI Daq and Motion on the test stations that have the hardware a ton of junk seems to get installed allong with it. I don't want the computers in the non-production areas clogged up with a bunch of junk that it does not need so what is the minimum I have to install of NI Daq and NI Motion.

You might consider putting in a conditional disable about your daq and motion code and simulate these actions in the NOHARDWARE== TRUE case. I always have simulated cases to allow for testing without the hardware.
If you dont disable the code the daq and motion will need to be loaded, there is not an easy way of putting in support for a small subset of the driver's features. disabling calls will not require any drivers

My program was created to automate the cleaning process of an atmostpheric chamber. It controls two valves based on the pressure readings and time intervals. When creating this program i figured that if a could make a boolean turn on or off based on the pressure readings then it would be no problem somehow wiring it to send a signal to the hardware. I have reached that point and don't know how to proceed. I was told that the first step is to figure out what kind of Card is being interfaced with the program.
I have read up on this subject and it seems like there is many ways to do it.
All sugestions will be greatly appreciated

I'm not sure how you can create the program without knowing what hardware you're going to be using. But... What have you read up on? You will need to select your data acquisition hardware. What kind of signals do you have? What kind of transducers do you have? What kind of actuators do you have? You may want to start with:

Hi i am wanting to purchace some quoting software for my business the program i am looking at is called SoloAssist and only runs on microsoft software, We changed over all our office and foremen to apple about a year ago and love the product. The main office computer is a macbook pro and has no CD drive. I have been told that i may be able to use a parrarlell program to run microsoft.
i am a builder by trade and not really up to date with this sort of detail could anyone please shed some light on this for me or let me know what i will need or if its even possible.

[solved] run program before network is available and stop boot on fail

Hi everyone,
Let's say I have an program that is absolutely essential to my system, and I want it to run before netctl even tries initialising my network connection (in fact, I want the network to be unavailable until the program has finished its execution). I _always_ want to see the program's output on the console, and if it exits with a non-zero exit code, I want the whole boot process to be aborted (or at least all of netctl's units to be disabled). Is this possible in systemd?

Use 'Before=' in your unit file. Make sure it does not fork.

Pipe it's output to /dev/console directly. Maybe there is a cleaner why, I'm not sure. SystemD actually supports the redirect directive in it's native language (nice).

Use 'RequiredBy=' in your unit file. That could be used to prevent netctl from starting. Preventing the whole boot isn't a bit drastic isn't it?

Also, once I re-downloaded everything, cleaned everything up, and deleted duplicate files, I closed down my computer. When I re-started it, iTunes was "brand new" -- all of my music, organization, tagging, etc. was gone and had to start over. Idea?

Ok, so after like 4 days of going through all these different issues, I figured out that several programs weren't downloading, and it was an issue with my wireless connectivity messing up the digital signatures, so if you plug in your comp to the modem and delete your temp files, it should start to work!

You can click on the text that says 'processing' in the main windows and it will open (toggle) the Activity Window, (can also be accessed via the Window menu -> Show Activity.
It will tell you what Aperture is doing with more precision and perhaps even how many photos it still needs to process. It is generally best to wait until all that processing is done before you start working with the photos (well it is best to first turn of options what you dont want to use, perhaps Faces or Previews and then let it process the new photos).

I need help with closing a running program. It seems like it does not count as a program. Tried to turn of the computer and closing all programs. Please help!?

I have a problem with a grey text box. It writes and says all i do. For example: When i now write it says all the letters one for one. If i open a new rogram it says so. If i click on something it gives me information about it. I can click the box and drag it, but dont close it. I have restarted the computer and closing all windows and programs. It just popped out when i was pressing some buttons on the mac. I think it is a easy way to fix it, but i cant find out what it is named and search for it. I think it is made for help and i did not download anything to get it. If i change user on the mac it does go away when I am on the other user, but i really want to keep the one i have because off all the settings and programs i have.

I can't open firefox the running but not responding window opens and says to close the existing window. I can't do that shutting down the computer doesn't do anything to help. I've done all the suggestions here. I've uninstalled and reinstalled firefox

After using firefox for a while if I exit, parent.lock is locked and i have to reboot to reload firefox.
I have killed all firefox applications from task manager (usually there are none). and I have tried 3 different "file unlock" programs including unlocker to no avail.
I also recently installed a program that shows -all- open files, and parent.lock is not listed, and thus not closable/unlockable from there.

I have The latest Firefox installed on an older Dell, and the CA security suite thru my ISP, which takes all my CPU and causes everything to freeze when I try to access it's features. I need a free internet security program that does tax my system so much

Have older Dell Dimension 32/bit with Win XP Prof 2002. I have installed CA security suite from my ISP, which is a huge program and uses 100% of CPU on start-up & shut down, slowing everthing to a snails pace. I have removed evrything I don't need using 30 day free Revo Unistaller Pro, but when I try to access CA's Firewall to add programs to the exception rule, it will open, then freezes along with Firefox tabs and anything else. Can't even shut down from start menu. I want to get rid of CA(although it is a good program, it's too big), and go back to using my Win Firewall(or another better free firewall that's good for more than 30 days trial) and some other free internet security program that is easy, runs in the background and doesn't take all my resources and isn't just a 30 day free trial till you buy the program. I am also trying to install a wireless adapter so I can drop my ISP and use the free city/county signal as no work for 20 months!

I am the original poster, and I got rid of CA Security Suite & and loaded the Avast! which has some great features even on the freeware. No more crashes or freezing & yes I think there is a problem with CA & Firefox, but am not sure what it is. CA was a big time hog. I also got rid of my ISP and installed a Intellinet Wireless G PCI Card & now am completely wireless on my PC. Faster by far than what I was paying $50/month for & I use my Windows Firewall.

/SAPAPO/SDRQCR21 program is not working correctly if we run the program for range of material and plant wise

In our project, we have received more sales order inconsistencies which is not clearing by CCR program and it is clearing by program /SAPAPO/SDRQCR21 with option as Build Reqmts from Doc. Flow, So We have decided to schedule the background job on daily basis for program /SAPAPO/SDRQCR21 with option as Build Reqmts from Doc. Flow, performing the testing in our quality system and observed the below strange behavior.
When I am running the program /SAPAPO/SDRQCR21 with Range of products and some location range with option as Build Reqmts from Doc. Flow, in Background job. In output it is suggesting to delete one sales order. If I checked that Sales order in ECC, it is for an different location, that is not part of my selection and the order is open. In MD04 the Qty is showing 1 ( as per sales order) but in APO RRP3 view the order qty is showing Zero. I have run the CCR, it is coming in different in content and if I push, the different is not going to APO.
I have tried running the program /SAPAPO/SDRQCR21 with plant which is mentioned in that sales order with option as Build Reqmts from Doc. Flow, in Background job , it is suggesting this sales order under update option correctly.
Can you please help me understand why it is behaving differently like the location is not part of my selection and why it is suggesting the wrong action. And also whether is it advisable to run the /SAPAPO/SDRQCR21 with option as Build Reqmts from Doc. Flow at plant range and material range in background job.

It sounds to me like the sales document records in the OLTP and in APO were created at different times. This is common in Dev and Qual environments when the systems are commonly created at two different times, and each was a copy of an existing system that contained sales data. The order number you see in //rrp3 is somewhat irrelevant; system generally uses the guid for many activities.
FYI during Dev and Qual refreshes, if you are copying from a production environment that contains data, it is always best to create the OLTP and SCM images at the same time, and to copy them both to the Dev and Qual systems at the same time. If you don't do this, you are faced with the additional tasks associated with getting the copied systems back into synch.
If this is Dev or Qual, I suggest that you just completely wipe out all sales orders in APO and rebuild them using the CIF.
If this is a mature production environment, the only time I have ever seen this issue is due to improperly created CIF enhancements. Speak to your developers to find the root cause, and correct this problem. Then, wipe out all sales orders and rebuild with CIF.

Now I've checked the forums and followed the advice of uninstalling all Apple applications, rebooting, and reinstalling iTunes.
This is not working. I've tried installing as Administrator but doesn't make any difference at all.
There must be a way to fix this? I'm not a tech geek but I want to avoid having to take my laptop back to factory settings to sort this out.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I love firefox 3.08 but when I install any improved versions they will not run on my desktop even when I have disabled all add ons and the firewall, can you help?

my system is Windows XP Media Center 2005 Hp model
I use Avast anti virus but have disabled it when loading firefox
I removed the Mcfee firewall which I thought might have stopped it running
I disabled all the add ons in case that was the problem
The internet explorer which I dont use as a browser has loaded up the inbox which ss very hard to remove

Firefox exe continues to run after closing all windows, and consumes massive amounts of cpu

after closing all firefox windows and trying to reopen i get the "firefox is still running but unresponsive" message, and have to go into task manager, processes and end the firefox exe, which is consuming between 96 and 100 cpu.

Norton IPS is apparently a known issue being mentioned in the KB articles:

What exactly is this IPS extension. I am currently using XPs with Norton's NIS (version 18.6 - it is a paid for subscription). I do have Intrusion Prevention active in NIS but I see no specific extension or program IPS. Is this some optional additional software?

I am NOT using the Norton Toolbar etc. is it these components that are causing the problem i.e safe search etc.
I am not having problems with firefox hanging or continuing, despite using NIS.
There is a bug on this https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=548945 but that does not seem to have got very far in confirming or resolving the issue. I imagine Norton have a very large userbase and it seems unlikely that the basic NIS is itself incompatible with Firefox.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, maybe after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.
