Run veristand project in labview- outports of simulink model dll

I have compiled a Simulink model into a dll file now I want to use some of the outports of the simulink model in labview I can see the outports in veristand workspace but now I want to use them in labview how can I do that?

now I want to execute my .vi with a PXI and I get this problem I have saved the dll. in veristand target PXI not in the Controller I have created a project and I have saved the Veristand files in C:\ of the PXI and I have the problem below I need special sofware I have installed all the avaliable veristand software in the PXI

Hi Motti,
There are at least two ways to solve this depending on the problem. One ways is to use ActiveX technology to run a simulation model and get the results in the files saved from simulink. This is good if you have an off-line problem you do the calculations in simulink than the analysis in LabVIEW. If you have to communicate with the model interactively than you should use Real-Time WorkShop to create an executable and connect to it by TCP/IP. I have VIs for both solutions. I'm planning to release a LabVIEW toolkit for Matlab Simulink. If your problem is argent we can work out some deal.

[SIT 5.0] Problem with running Simulink model dll on RT target

At the moment I am using following versions of software:
LabVIEW 8.6.1
LabVIEW Real-Time 8.6.1
NI-RIO 3.1.0
Simulation Interface Toolkit 5.0.0
Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0
MATLAB 7.4.0 (R2007a)
NI cRIO-9014

After that I was able to build nidll and nidll_vxworks using Matlab. Then I have configured SIT Connection manager, mapped controls and indicators, selected model dll etc. But when I have tried to deploy it on RT target I got following error message:

I also had quite a lot of problems using Labview 8.6.1, RT and SIT 5.0.1. I upgraded a software using Labview 7.1 and SIT 2.0.3 beeing used for 5 years now and it was real pain.
I not using the SIT as you are (just load the model from a DLL, use a timeloop to step the model and finally close the model) but it seems that SIT 5.0.1 has a bug (confirmed recently by NI tech support) concerning inputs and outputs if you are using an array.
It seems that if you use an array for the input during the transcoding of the simulink model to the DLL an index is not well taken into account resulting in a model not beeing able to read its intputs. In my case whatever the inputs data could be the outputs were always 0.
The model has been changed to use only scalar data and everything works fine, ... well using the developpement software :
I cannot generate an RT target executable as during the deployment it fails all the time.
I saw once a message concerning SIT VIs deployment errors and it happened shortly after i upgraded my target : SIT 2.0.3 was still installed after SIT 5.0.
I spent a few years without updating Labview and i am amazed at how many problems occurs with all versions above 8.0.

LabView talking with Simulink model

I have a problem sending a real number to a Simulink model. Simulink
only understand the format with full stop as indicater (2.5) but
labview only want to send with comma (2,5).
I´m Using a danish windows XP, but I can´t see that this is the
problem, because I have tryed to change the settings to match the
english number system.
Please point me i the direction to fix this problem.

In LabVIEW you are able to set the decimal point in Tools >> Options >> Front Panel. You are able to set it up to use the localized decimal point. When the localized decimal point is not used then its a dot that's used as decimal point. If you change that setting remember to reboot LabVIEW.

Is it possible to build a project with Labview 2010 on a Windows XP system, that is useful for a system with windows 7 on it?

I am planning to use Labview 2010 in a short time.
But before I'm going to use it I have some questions.
I know it is possible to run Labview 2010 in an XP environment. But is it also possible to, when running Labview 2010 on a XP system, to build a project to a version that is useful in a Windows 7 environment?
Or do I have to run Labview 2010, when I want to build a project that is useful on a Windows 7 system, on a system with Windows 7?
Please give me some information.

Invalid Mapping with SIT for an outport inside a subsystem in a the simulink model.

Hello everybody,
I am trying to use SIT to target simulink models on a PXI target.
The simulink model contains a subsystem with an outport. I have created
a mapping between the signal coming out of that outport to a waveform
chart on the host VI. The mapping works fine when I run the model on
the local host but becomes invalid when I target the dll to a pxi
target.
I have been able to create a very simple simulink model and host VI
that is mimicking this problem. This model does
not do anything useful and is made to only demonstrate just this problem. I am attaching the model and the userinterface here.
Note:
I have already taken care of the fact that I can not use signal storate
reuse, block reduction and also cant use linked or linked+masked
subsystems. A testimony to this is the fact that I am able to create
mapping with other signals in the subsystem. Also outport is a virtual
block in simulink so I have created a testpoint on the signal going
into the outport to be able to probe it.
Any kind of suggestions would be appreciated.

You have two options to be able to probe this signal in the subsystem that should work fine for this small example you posted. Let me know if they also apply to your actual model.
You have the outport itself set as a test point currently in your subsystem block. Try setting the wire coming out of the subsystem outport as a test point and then rebuilding your dll. That should make the outport signal probable.
Instead of probing the actual outport, you could probe the signal in the subsystem that is wired into the outport. In the case of your example that would be using_subsystem/Subsystem/Sum1:1.

Error while running a project in em console

It was running fine all these days.server was restarted and i am facing problems shown below.
I am not able run any project(ex.Project1) in em console.I am getting 2 errors like.
1)DBLocker caught exception while retrieving locked messages.Will retry retrieval after 2 seconds
2)Error while invoking endpoint "http://<server name>:7001/soa-infra/services/default/Project1/StdService" from client; Security Subject: Administrators
Even if i unlock the account,its getting locked automatically.

ALV Grid control is based on the custom controls on the screen. When the program is scheduled in background, it tries to create GUI related front-end objects and hence the error u201CFatal Error u2013 GUI cannot be reachedu201D. This type of problem is common with all the programs that use the ALV grid control to display the output.
Solution:
Whenever we execute this type of programs in background, we should be passing a blank docking container instead of the custom container as parent to our grid control.
The docking container doesnu2019t need any of the custom controls on the screen; instead it attaches an area to any or all of the four edges of the screen (top, left, right or bottom). The behavior of the areas in the container is determined by the sequence in which they are initialized. Docking Containers are attached to the screen from the inside out. This means that when you create a second container, it is attached to the edge of the screen, and the container that was already there is pushed outwards.
Let us modify the standard program (by taking a copy of it) to enable it to execute it in background.
Following modifications have to be made:
·        Define a docking container in the program
data: or_doc type ref to cl_gui_docking_container .
·        At the time of creating a custom container, check if the program is being executed in background or foreground. If the program is scheduled in background, then create a docking container instead of custom container.

Error in Jdeveloper while running a project on weblogic server.

I am unable to run ADF Project on Weblogic Server 9.2. I am created Sample Project with ADF Control. This was when we create jsp at that time i am selected libraries ADF. After created war file. This war i am deploying into Server. At that time i am getting error java.lang.noclassfound error.

Hard to help you here. JDev 10 used to work with OAS 10g as application server. This does not mean that you can't use Weblogic9.2, but because it is not the default configuration you may have some problems doing this.
One problem is that you need to install the ADF runtime libraries in the WLS 9.2 server, but there is no installer I know of. You can try to deploy the needed libraries together with your app, but you have to figure out which libraries you need.
Next thing is that you should deploy an EAR instead of a WAR.

I do some VJ-type work, involving playback of QuickTime files from the computer to projections, and I get good results using ProRes 422. That's convenient, because ProRes 422 is such a great editing codec, too.
Traditionally, VJs use PhotoJPEG codec, which also works well, but it's a bad editing codec. So you would have to export an edited master, then convert.
If you want it to look as good as possible, definitely schedule some time to test the footage on the wall. You may want to change the color correction of your footage to match the projectors. And if you feed the video wall some flat gray, you can see if any of the projectors need to be adjusted.
I'm not sure what application you're using for playback, but QuickTime Player 7 works well. It has an option to play fullscreen on an external monitor (View > Present Movie…).

Getting an error when I want to run my project on another pc! URGENT!!

This is my first post. I have a big problem. I created an enterprise application for a college project but now I want to test it on my laptop. Unfortunately when I want to run the project it gives me this error:

Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLException: Error in allocating a connection. Cause: Class name is wrong or classpath is not set for : com.mysql.jdbc.jdbc2.optional.MysqlDataSource
Error Code: 0
C:\Wesley Chin J2EE Project\EdHardyClothingStore\nbproject\build-impl.xml:264: The module has not been deployed.
When I try and deploy the project it wont deploy.
Any ideas on what i can do to fix it?
Urgent help please as I have to hand in the project today!

you will need the jdbc driver for your database.
You will find it on http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/3.1.html
Download it and put it in your glassfish classpath, e. g. [glassfish-root]/domains/domain1/lib/ext and restart the server.

When you get that error, you can find the details in the problems panel, on the bottom of the screen in code view. The problem with your project is that the libs folder doesn't exist, and while I'm not sure how that could happen, the fix is easy:
In code view, look at the project navigator (on the right side of your window). Right click on "Untilted_1" and select New -> Folder. Enter "libs" (without quotes) as the name of the new folder and press Finish. You should now be able to run successfully.

XMl parser version problem for running struts project in jdeveloper 10.1.3

Dear All.
I am trying to run a struts (v 1.2.9) based project in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.1.0.The struts version in Jdeveloper is 1.1.
when i am trying to run the index.jsp i get an error:
org.xml.sax.SAXNotRecognizedException: http://apache.org/xml/features/validation/dynamic
I think the XML parser version is a problem.Jdeveloper has OracleXMLParser v2 and i think the XML Parser apis used in building the project is different.I have placedcustiom xml parser apis and the xerces.jar in the jdevbin/jdev/lib folder and included these jar in the bootclasspath as follows:
AddVMOption -Xbootclasspath/p:../lib/xml-apis.jar
AddVMOption -Xbootclasspath/p:../lib/xerces-2.6.2.jar
But even then the Exception persists.Is the syntax for Xbootclasspath wrong or i need to place these custom api's in some other location of jdev.
I am not being able to figure out the XMl parser problem.
Any help wud be great.

Install labview 6.1 (or compatible) run-time engine with labview 2011

I have installed a trial period version of Labveiw 2011 in order to check for possible upgrade issues I may have if I decide to upgrade from labveiw 6.1. Well, needless to say there have been alot. That is as expected since I have not updated labview in many years. I am still not under any pressure to update; however, I would like to in order to get support and make sure I do not have any compatibility issues with new equipment purchases. I have been able to resolve most of my compatibility issues with simple code fixes and such. However, twice now I have run into an error when launching labview executeables compiled by two different equipment manufacturers. The equipment I am using is not even old...maybe a year or so. When I launch the labview executables to control this equipment on a PC that has the trial period labview 2011 installed, I get an error message stating something like " This requires a Labview 6.1 (or compatible) run time engine." I have tried to download and install the 6.1 labivew engine but I can't install this engine on a PC which has labview 2011 installed. Can someone explain how I am to run these executables under labview 2011. I can't imagine these executables were developed using 6.1 since this equipment is not even a year old now.

Im not for sure I am on the same page with you here. Im not trying to develop any code myself. I have some labview executables that came with hardware we purchased in order to control it. We used to have labview 6.1 installed; so everything was working ok. But now that I have installed 2011, I get an error message when trying to run these executables. The error message states that this executable requires a labview 6.1 or compatible run-time engine. I have seen this error on both XP and Windows 7 machines. I did not develop the executable, it was developed by the hardware manufacturer. But since this hardware is only about 1 year old, I an assuming they used a newer version of Labview to develop this code. Certianly newer than 6.1.
So I guess my question is..is there a way for me to get this executable to work on a PC that has labview 2011 installed. I have tried to install a labview 6.1 run time engine but it will not install. Any other options?
