Running "Build 'em All" example Xcode project wiped out MediaCore folder

I'm having a hard time setting up Xcode to properly compile the example code into a debug product build that eventually ends up in the MediaCore folder.
I initially got it to work simply by clicking the 'Run' button on the 'Skeleton' and 'Checkout' projects.
Then I decided to just build them all, and pressed 'Run' while I had the 'Buildall' selected. Seemed like everything ran okay, but then AE was starting to act buggy. Told me Quicktime wasn't installed, etc. I noticed that all my plugins were missing, and sure enough the entire MediaCore folder seemed to be overwritten. Do I have to re-install AE and all my plugins to get those back?
Most importantly, though, is why did running the 'Buildall' project wipe out the folder of everything?
I read this in the SDK guide:
We’ve combined the sample projects into a single master project, stored in the Examples folder of the SDK. For Mac OS, it is Buildall.xcodeproj; for Windows, it is BuildAll.sln.
In your IDE, you’ll need to change the output folder of your project to build into After Effects’ plug-in folder. For development, we recommend using the following path for Mac
OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/[CS version]/MediaCore/
for example: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS6/MediaCore/
So, I set absolute paths for the build location in my project settings dialog, in the locations tab. I placed 'intermiediates' in a different folder from 'products'.
I just need to know they best way to configure Xcode 4.5 to output the example projects in the correct manner. I'm afraid I'm going to have to reinstall the plugins.

set to build directory to any folder you like (i created a nice folder called "build64"),
then just put a shortcut from AE's "blug-ins" folder to you build folder.
yes, AE does shortcuts.
leave media core alone...

All my contacts are wiped out, how do I get them back? I tried to reboot my phone by turning it completely off and on again and that didn't help. I tried syncing to the compluter on itunes and that didn't help, and I tried calling AT&T and that didn't help. They said to make an appt. with Apple and hopefully they could help. They also said that 3 other people came in their store with the same issue this week. If someone out there knows how I could get contacts back on my phone please let me know. Thanks.

There are no contacts on or in iTunes. iTunes does not store contacts. iTunes can serve as the sync conduit to sync contacts between your iPhone and a supported address book app on your computer. This is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
Certainly you don't depend on an iPhone or any cell phone alone for such important data which can be lost or stolen, damaged beyond repair, or there can be a hardware or software problem preventing access to the contacts.

Recently I got my Iphone unlocked. Earlier I was using it on ATT n/w. After unlock i am using it in India with a service provider here.
The problem that I am getting is, the phone was able to pick up the network and am able to make calls and messages. Data plan is still to be activated so cant confirm on that, but all the apps that were there on my phone got wiped out on its own. Since I wasnt sure as to what happend, so I reinstalled the apps today morning. I saw the apps getting installed and then left to get ready for my office. after nearly 30 mins I saw nothing was getting syncronized so disconnected the phone and left for Office. On reaching office when I checked for my usual Apps, I could see only the apple apps and none other available there. Need to know whats the issue and how to resolve it. Please can someone help me on this?

I can not get to iPhone screen, so no way to get to Settings. That is the problem. When I connect phone to iTunes I get screen asking to insert SIN card. On the phone I'm getting Cinfigure screen asking Launguage , Country or Region, Wi-Fi, ( I can connect to my home wi-fi), and last screen "Activating your iPhone". After two minutes of waiting IM getting message: Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server in temporary unavailable. try connecting to iTunes or try later or contat apple.com/support.
Like I mention, I went to Bell as well Rogers store and tried to insert active SIM card with no results.

How to pack all used in project samples into one folder?

i have lots of samples in various folders in my hdds, but when i work on a project i don't remember where i get it from, i just use it and forget about it. but i want to put all copies of used in my logic project samples into one folder for don't delete them in the future or to share all that folder to my friend and he can open it without missing ones. just something like battery kits savings. how to do that?
any thoughts will be appreciated

Go to Save as...
At the bottom of the window is the Include Assets box. Tick it.
Click on Advanced options. Here you choose to which assets to include within the project folder.
wth existing projects, open them go to File : Project : Consolidate project

Need recommendations for virus/firewall protection on iphone-i believe my iphone has a virus because i keep getting 20 no info e-mails and then all my inbox is wiped out!

Does anyone have suggestions for virus protection/firewall/etc on iphone 3GS? i believe i have a virus on my phone because several times, all my inbox mail is wiped out and also i get abot 20 bogus e-mails with no content/with wierd dates/cannot be deleted.

Unless you have jailbroken your iphone it does not have a virus.
There is no malware affecting legit iphones.
It sounds like your e-mail account has been hacked, NOT your iphone.

I don't know about anybody else, but the 5.0 version is very user unfriendly. All my bookmarks got wiped out. I want to go back to earlier version where I could have an icon that actually took me to my bookmarks and not the thing they came up with.

Pretty clear what happened: the so called upgrade wiped the bookmarks out and got rid of the VERY useful bookmarks bar. The window that now comes up is worthless and cumbersome. I need my bookmarks back. I looked in the profile for a possible second ff but there was only this one and I don't like it. I want the bookmarks bar back and my bookmarks back. What to do????

Firefox doesn't "lose" bookmarks during an update, and even if it did you should see the default bookmarks that come with Firefox. Plus, Firefox 4+ versions have ten bookmark backups stored in your Profile folder; Firefox 3.6 and earlier stored five backup files.

Those two extensions haven't been updated for Firefox 5.0 ''(to the best of my knowledge, unless they were updated in the last couple of days)'', so those extensions would have been disabled during the update due to the lack of "compatibility".
To see if that is the case, open the Add-ons Manager tab - {Ctrl + Shft + A} - then open Extensions and see which extensions may have been disabled, they would appear at the bottom of that list and would be greyed-out.
Please check to see what extensions might be disabled.

Can you see emails via webmail - are they on the server?
When you say all emails have gone, what do you see in the left Folder Pane?
* Is the Folder Pane completely empty? nothing shows not even mail accounts?
* Do you see mail accounts and folders, but all folders are empty?
* Are you talking about just the Inbox or other folders as well?
* What folders are missing emails?
* Did you have all your emails in the Inbox folder or stored in various folders?
* Did this occur after compacting the folder?

All STATIC DHCP Assignments wiped out

Out of the clear blue sky, my Verizon Fios Router (the new Gateway G1100) suddenly had none of my static DHCP Assignments. They all vanished! I have no idea how, but on January 3rd, I had a fully functioning router with everything set the way I want, and I had a backup of the settings.
Today, I'm trying to remote in to some PCs on my lan and their not responding. Well of course they're not, they have new IP addresses assigned dynamically because my entire address reservation entries were gone!
What the hell? Best guess I have is VERIZON pushed a firmware update that screwed me and never told me. The fact they can push updates at their whim kills me! I'm stable, don't push me jack S%$#. Don't fix what isn't broken. Notify me, let me opt in!!!!
I'm so hating my switch to verizon!

My router was updated yesterday. Unfortunately, my router lost it's static DHCP assignments as well. I had even saved my router config prior to the upgrade as I was concerned about loosing my settings. A restore of the router config after the update did not recover my static DHCP settings. I'm not sure what else wasn't restored.
While I do like the improved features that the new firmware provides (Guest WiFi is a big deal for me), I too am disappointed in how this upgrade cleared out some settings and how we users have no control over the process. I've heard that we're supposed to receive an email about the upgrade, but I never got one.

All my contacts got wiped out......

I have a 8530 and when I put in my password it did not work. Then it ask me to type in "blackberry". I did that then it ask me to put my password and I did. It finally worked but now it had me register all over again and i have no contacts now. I had 456 contacts and now they are all gone. My email is not on my home page and I don't know how to put it back to the home page. Does anyone know if I can get my contacts back and how do you put the email back to the home page?

Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
Also check on conflicting software...it has been reported that the software package NTI Shadow&Ninja can cause a conflict; removing them and reinstalling the BB desktop software allows it to install correctly.
Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these. Also apologies if any are not presently available...RIM takes them up and down at will as they revise things.

Itunes 11.2.2.3 update - AVOID. contacts wiped out of all my apple products. does not sync contacts in windows.

I updated Itunes on my windows 8 laptop today (30 May 2014).
When i synced my ipads and iphone all the contacts were wiped out of the devices. Even though the contacts are intact in my Outlook folder.
I have tried everything to sync the same back.
Restoring does not help as the backup files do not have the contacts.
I do not how to download the previous version of Itunes as the updates have been happening automatically and old files are not stored locally.
Any assistance in this would be highly appreciated.

I installed 11.2.2 my ipad would not back up, so updated uppad software via wireless, asked to connect to Itunes, ipad wiped and restored (thanks again apple) installed and uninstalled itunes many times (total uninstall), freezes everytime i try to open apps, wont sync. Running windows xp, have also tried on brand new pc running windows 8 decided to try ipad there, can see apps but wont sync them, syas they are not availabale, checked folder, they are there, although in music folder? Synch wiped out all my outlook 2007 contacts

I had to have a hard reset done on my phone. When I did the first synch between my phone & my computer all my contacts were wiped out of my outlook except for 39. Those were the only ones that went to the phone also.
What happened & how do I fix this? HELP!!!!! I have a back-up of my contacts, but I am nervous that something is wrong with the synch settings.

ICloud wiped out all my favorites

   First of all I'd like to know how much space iCloud takes up on your computer.
   Next thing I noticed after installing it last night was that all my favorites are wiped out (missing) from the upper left hand side of my toolbar and there is a little square iClould button there but all the favorites that come pre-installed in Mountain Lion such as the buttons (E-Bay), (Weather Channel), (Yahoo), (Rotten Tomatoes) (Yelp) are all missing. Not one there!
   At first I didn't notice it until i looked up at the small square clould button in the upper left hand side and saying to myself hmmm. . . wonder what's that there for and then realized that all my favorites have vanished. Any one have this problem or is there some kind of option I have to turn on to get them back?
   And in my Contacts book I have one guy on the with a gmail address. I also have a gmail address but got the iclould.com address. Is synchronize with G-Mail box supposed to checked and what does that actually do?

No I did not put them there. They were already on there with Mountain Lion. Like 6 buttons on the left upper hand side of the toolbar. Just a one click button to get to Yahoo, Weather Channel, Ebay. I didn't put them there myself. It was part of the browser. They're not in finder they were on the left upper hand side of the toolbar right where the new iCloud button made it's appearance after joining last night.
   In contact book there's a small empty box that ask's (syncrhonize with g-mail)? and if I remember it wasn't checked then when I opened up my Mac's address book or contacts whatever they call it the box was checked so I don't know if it should be and if that would affect anything.
   But everything was going fine until I see all my favorites missing. Search favorites are missing in the search box on this site. It happened to other and last night it happened right after I joined iCloud and I know that had something to do with it because this was the first time this is ever happened. Also I see a could symbol button in that upper right hand corner with all the favorites missing.

Okay, I finally got the couple of songs left on the phone to play by uninstalling and reinstalling itunes on the pc and re syncing. The last version I installed (just prior to my original post) failed to start due to some unspecified error?!?. Great!. But I still couldn't sync the itunes purchases from the PC to the iPhone. Then, after about an hour of googling and reading assorted posts mostly about using google to resolve the issue, I finally figured out that I have to actually download ALL the purchased albums from iCloud back onto the iPhone! There are hundreds of them, and some are not even available anymore.
Why do I have to do that when I originally purchased and downloaded all the music to the phone? Why are they all on the PC to begin with and why won't they go to the phone via the USB cable? Why didn't all the music get wiped out on the phone when I synced with the dodgy itunes I had to uninstall. never mind.
I accept that all my original music from cds and shared collections is gone on the failed mbp hard drive, but how come this once okay experience has become a trauma? Hundreds of songs to download all over again, sheesh, this has not exactlybeen a "That Was Easy" experience guys.
