Running process from javascript

Hi all,
I'm trying to run a page process with javascript with the htmldb_Get but I have no results until now. My example is very simple, it's just click on a page link and call a javascript function like this:
<script type="text/javascript">
function test(){
var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=myProcess',0);
gReturn = get.get();
get = null;
</script>
Can someone help, I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
Tks in advance

Hi,
On Demand is type of application process.
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/user.40/e15517/bldr_pgs.htm#sthref847
Probably all examples what you have seen about htmldb_Get are calling On Demand process.

Jari

    Hi Ramien,
    I suppose you have acces to the executionContext of GP...
    You can use the following method to get the process Id:
    String processId = executionContext.getProcessId();

  • Monitoring the running process

    hi all!
    i am working on antispyware.
    my problem is:
    how to monitor the computer running processes from the attacking of any spyware/virus
    if some one has sample code, plz send me
    plz guide me in this regard, so i can proceed in my work.
    best regards

    Thanks.
    That makes no sense. Especially given that listener handles the connect and then no longer is involved in the communication between client and database.
    I would strongly suggest you check Metalink, or even open a service request. This sounds like it could be a memory leak. Do it now, while it is still possible - 9i goes into extended support in a few weeks and bug fixes will be difficult to arrange.

    Hello,
    yes it possible! use the following steps.
    1. Goto the process which you want the chain to start from.Goto display messages>> Chain tab. In the generated instance note the variant and instance.
    2. Goto table RSPROCESSLOG and give variant and instance and get logid details.
    3. t codese37>> run FM RSPROCESSFINISH.
    4. give the deatils u have got in RSPROCESSLOG table here and say execute.
    This will solve ur problem.

  • Start a new process from a running process BPM 10.3 STUDIO!

    Is it possible to create a process in BPM Studio 10.3 from a running process.
    The scenario is that we have a process running listening to a jms queue an when a message
    arrives it's starts the process that was requested in the in message.
    /Getr

    if you have a Global Automatic activity listening to a JMS queue, here's how you can create a new work item instance in a process using logic in the Global Automatic activity's method. This uses the "Fuego.Lib.ProcessInstance.create()" method shown below:
    // "args" is an associative string array (Any[String])
    argsIn as Any[String]
    // this assumes that the Begin activity has two argument variables
    //   named "nameArg" and "amountArg" and you're setting them
    //   to the variables "name" and "amount" respectively
    argsIn["someArgVarName"] = "Hello"
    argsIn["someBpmObject"] = myBpmObject
    // logic here to determine the name of the process to create an instance in
    idOfProcess as String
    idOfProcess = <hard coded string that has the id (not the name of the process to instantiate>
    ProcessInstance.create(processId : "/" + idOfProcess, arguments : argsIn, argumentsSetName : "BeginIn") ProcessInstance is in the Catalog inside Fuego.Lib.
    The processId parameter (the "idOfProcess" variable in the above logic) is the thing I most commonly screw up with this. It is the text you see when you right mouse click the process in the Project Navigator tab -> "Properties". Look at the value in the "Id" field and not the "Name" field here (the name without any space characters). Prefix it with a "/" as is shown here and if you've deployed this using an organization unit (OU) then prefix this to the string also.
    The third parameter is almost always "BeginIn". Begin activities in a process can have many incoming argument mappings, the default is "BeginIn". To see yours, double click the process's Begin activity and look at the mapping's name in the upper left corner of the dialog.
    "argsIn" is the set of incoming argument variables you want passed into the process. A common mistake is to type in the names of the incoming argument variables without the double quotes like this:
    // this will *NOT* work
    argsIn[someArgVarName] = "Hello"
    argsIn[someBpmObject] = myBpmObject
    . . .Here is the correct syntax:
    // this *WILL* work
    argsIn["someArgVarName"] = "Hello"
    argsIn["someBpmObject"] = myBpmObject
    . . .In this example, the process has two argument variables. It does not matter if the incoming argument variables are primitive type arguments (e.g. String, Integer, Decimal...) or BPM Objects, it is always done the same way. In this example, there is a String incoming argument called "someArgVarName" and a BPM Object incoming argument called "someBpmObject".

  • Running process flow from sqlplus

    hi everyone,
    using sqlplus_exec_template.sql to run process flow.
    but message keeps appearing that task is not found
    I have an oracle workflow repository on another server.
    what should I use as parameters?
    for example location name?
    thank you

    Hi
    If you can create the Process Flow code, you can deploy and execute from SQLPLUS as follows.
    1. First you have to compile the package from SQLPLUS into you target get schema. For example. SQL>@c:\package.pls.
    2. Then find out the prarmeter from function main of the package. Write a simple code as follows and run it from SQL. Just substitute whatever applicable to you.
    declare
    V_PROCESS_CODE           VARCHAR2(10);
    V_FREQUENCY_CODE     VARCHAR2(1);
    V_RETCODE                NUMBER(10);
    V_WB_RT                WB_RT_MAPAUDIT.WB_RT_NAME_VALUES;
    begin
    V_PROCESS_CODE := 'CF_SUMM’;
    V_FREQUENCY_CODE := 'D';
    v_retcode := DM_CASHFLOW_SUMM_MAP.main(V_PROCESS_CODE, V_FREQUENCY_CODE, V_WB_RT);
    dbms_output.put_line(v_retcode || ' Retcode.');
    end;

  • No able run a GP Process from Portal

    Hi All,
    I am not able to run a GP Process from the portal.
    I have created a Guided Procedure with multiple steps.
    I am able to access a couple step. But in the third step the complete functionality is not working.
    If I run a process with out portal, Every step works well.
    Please help me in solving this.
    For integrating in portal, I ve used AInstantiation iview with URL Parameter from the process.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Anish

    Hi Anish,
    If your third step is an iView, a VC Callable Object or another "non java technology" UI, this only means that you need to open the process within the portal to be able to use the so-called "Portal Navigation".
    The AInstantiation WD App only exists for testing purposes (from the Design Time) and is not meant to be reused.
    I would rather recommend you to implement your own application for starting GP Process either by using the Public API or the Web Service
    See also how to start a GP process from a url within EP?, your problem should be solved
    Hope this helps,

  • Start process from JSP which continues running after response is completed

    Is it possible to start a process from within JSP which can continue running after the HTTP response is complete, so the response doesn't time out??

    Your question is a little vague. If I am understanding your question correctly, it sounds like you are starting a process in JSP that takes a long time, and the browser is timing out. If this is your question, then here is my response:
    We've had this situation before. Often times it occurs because the JSP page launches a long database operation that could take an hour. You have a few choices, but one good approach is this (any variation of this works too):
    1. When the page loads and you need the process to start, create a new thread and have the long operation run from this thread. You can put the thread object into a session variable and store it for later use.
    2. Have the JSP code output a META-REFRESH tag on the page so that the page refreshes every 30 seconds or so.
    3. On each refresh, you get the thread object from the session context and check it to see if it is done or still running. If it is, then just output another META-REFRESH and the page will keep refreshing itself. If it is done, you can, of course, output a "finished" message to the user.
    You can also have a stop button on the page that you can use to send a message to the thread to stop.
    Hope that gives you some ideas!

  • How to create Instace of another process from running process.

    Hi,
    I want to create an instance of another process from my running process. Along with this i want to pass a business object as input parameter to this instance. Please help me to do this !!!

    This and other ways to create an instance in another process was described in Re: create new process instance
    1. Here's how you can create an instance in a process using logic in an Automatic activity's method. This uses the "Fuego.Lib.ProcessInstance.create()" method shown below inside a process:
    // "argsIn" is an associative string array (Any[String])
    argsIn as Any[String]
    // this assumes that the Begin activity has two argument variables
    //   named "nameArg" (a string) and "myBpmObjectArg" (a BPM
    //   object variable) and you're setting them
    //   to the previously initialized variables "name" and
    //   "myBpmObject" respectively
    argsIn["nameArg"] = name
    argsIn["myBpmObjectArg"] = myBpmObject
    // logic here to determine the name of the process to create an instance in
    idOfProcess as String
    idOfProcess = <hard coded string that has the id (not the name) of the process to instantiate>
    ProcessInstance.create(processId : "/" + idOfProcess, arguments : argsIn,
         argumentsSetName : "BeginIn") ProcessInstance is in the Catalog inside Fuego.Lib.
    // this will *NOT* work
    argsIn[nameArg] = name
    argsIn[myBpmObjectArg] = myBpmObject
    . . .Here is the correct syntax:
    // this *WILL* work
    argsIn["nameArg"] = name
    argsIn["myBpmObjectArg"] = myBpmObject
    . . .In this example, the process has two argument variables. It does not matter if the incoming argument variables are primitive type arguments (e.g. String, Integer, Decimal...) or BPM Objects, it is always done the same way. In this example, there is a String incoming argument called "nameArg" and a BPM Object incoming argument called "myBpmObjectArg".
    2. A process can create a new instance in another process using the Subflow activity which synchronously creates an instance in a child subprocess and waits for the result to return once the instance in the child subprocess reaches the End activity in the process. From the parent process, you'd match the incoming and outgoing argument variables of the called child process with instance variables in your parent process.
    3. A process can create a new instance in another process using the Process Creation activity which asynchronously creates an instance in a child subprocess (fire and forget) but does not wait for the child to respond to the parent. Once the child process begins, the parent continues its flow. From the parent process, you'd match the incoming argument variables of the called child process with instance variables in your parent process.

  • HT201342 I have not been able to upgrade to a new computer. So I am running an old OS 10.5.8 in a Powerbook Pro 15¨. I recently have had some e-mail problems. I would like to know if this is related with all transitional process from @mac to @icloud.

    I have just starting having problems with my @mac.com account because I still have an old computer. Un fortunatelly so many years this is my main account and no option to send e-mail are possible.
    Is this related with the transitional process from moving to an @icloud.com account?
    regards

    First of all, your profile says you are using OSX 10.5.8 which is incompatible wth all features of icloud, although users have been able to use icloud's email with older versions.  With the transition to @icloud.com accounts, it's difficult to say what the effect is regarding older versions of OSX.  I've read posts by others who are still using these versions and have now been having problems with emails.
    iCloud mail is a standard Imap account, any version of OSX (or Windows) with an Imap compatible mail client can use it.

  • Button on Interactive Report to fire a process using JavaScript

    I have a requirement to trigger a process from a button on an interactive report. One of the report columns has the triggering data allowed to make the process fire. The requirement is that the button says different things based on the value from another column in report.
    My button is an html button that when the process is allowed to run, is enabled and fires a javascript function. When the process is not allowed to run for the row where the button is placed, the button changes text, color and is disabled.
    The switching of the HTML button is working properly. The problem is that I am not able to grab the column value from the report to submit with the onclick() event.
    As best I can tell, there is not unique id tag on the report columns and the best that I am able to do is to apply one class to the button and another class to the column that contains the value that needs to be submitted on my onclick() event.
    I have considered using a link column that does a submit to a URL passing in the desired value but I would lose control of the appearance of my button.
    Does anyone have a suggestion?
    Thanks

    In debugging while clicking on back button for first time, I found that after 'Leave to screen 0' statement debugger goes to double click event of screen 100 and start processing from a statment written immediately after 'Call screen 200' statement.
    Yes, that's right. The processing will be continued from next stamtement after CALL SCREEN 200. But after the PAI will finish it shoud go to NEXT SCREEN which is 0.
    If that doens't work you can try leaving the screen 100 explicitly as well.
       CALL SCREEN 200.
       LEAVE TO SCREEN 0.  "the processing will terminate screen 100 as well
    Try it out.
