Running the worklist in a browset
Can you run the worklist in a browset window ?
Also, is it possible to send information to the WebLogic server to change item
lists in the Worklist e.g. send a message with a tag <CLIENT>XXX</CLIENT> so that
the list of tasks are filtered by the Client ?
Thanks
Andy
Do you mean that the browser needs to refresh the page/worklist automatically if
an external event clears the task from the inbox?
You can do with the swing worklist application I guess. With browser you may have
to use refresh tags.

If a worklist role shos four tasks for four clients, is it possible for
an external
event to change the view to filter the list (as opposed to the user having
to
click themselves).
Thanks

There is a sample worklist jsp application shipped with wli. You should
see it
in samples/integration/samples/bpm_api/jsp in worklist.war.
I don't understand the second part of your question though... Couldyou
elaborate.
Thanks

Jsp implementation of the worklist client for weblogic 6.0
Hi
Please find attached a demo version of how you can implement a JSP based
worklist client. This code is simply for demonstration/reference purposes
only but it illustrates how to implement a JSP client to the BPM product.
This application is not covered under support.
To install the product simply extract the attachment ( a war file ) and
place it in the applications directory of your weblogic deployment, for
example
d:\bea\wlserver6.0\config\mydomain\applications.
To run the worklist client enter the following url in your browser
http://localhost:7001/worklist
This code will also be placed on the BEA development centre.
Again, it must be re-iterated that although testing of the code has been
done this is not a production application and it's sole purpose it provide
examples of how to use the wlpi-worklist api. in a web environment.
Any questions, comments or updates to this code are welcome and should
be posted to the newsgroup.
Thanks and enjoy

Tony,
Don't you mean that the target location of the .WAR file should be:
C:\bea\wlintegration2.0\processintegrator\config\mydomain\applications
(Assuming you have elected the default folders for the WLI BPMinstallation
location)

Regards, Suma EmaniDo you have any space in jdeveloper workspace directory ?
i.e C:\Document and settings like path.
Also mention the default integrated domain's path.
If any space is present then create a new domain and workspace without containing any space and run your application.

Edited by: parker on Mar 27, 2011 11:55 PMLooks like you don't have WebLogic classes on the classpath:
javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Cannot instantiate class: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory [Root exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory]
Other options for creating an instance are to use a web service call or one of the other adapters (e.g. JMS). If you need to directly start a process you might also look at this blog from the ATeam:
http://redstack.wordpress.com/worklist/
The specific example for getting the tasks is at: http://redstack.wordpress.com/2011/03/09/implementing-task-initiation/
Then the real work of creating an instance from the initiator tasks is at: http://redstack.wordpress.com/2011/03/09/creating-the-domain-layer-for-the-worklist/ -
Task Form not appearing in the WorkList application
Hi,
I tried creating a task form in a very simple composite. I created task forms (both manual and auto-generated). However, the worklist app does not show any task form whenever a task appears in the inbox.
In addition, i see the following error during deployment. Is this the reason for the problem ? If yes how to solve it.. any help will be appreciated...

Problem occured while customizing the WorkList app(customapp) in 10.1.3
Hi,
We are working on customizing the worklist application. By following the link we have done the changes specified in the topic "16.5 Customizing the Worklist Application" in http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28981/worklist.htm#BHACDDFJ
After that we are able to deploy the customapp successfully. But while access the http://localhost/integration/customapp, "Internal Server Error. Please contact your administrator" has occured.
Following is the exception stacktrace in the application.log file :

-VidyaHi,
I am able to resolve the below problem. We missed out the "parent" param in deploy task.
<oracle:deploy debug="true"
deployerUri="deployer:oc4j:opmn://localhost:6004/home"
userid="oc4jadmin"
password="oc4jadmin"
file="${worklist.ear.dir}/customworklist.ear"
deploymentname="customapp" contextroot="/integration/customapp"
bindallwebapps="default-web-site"
parent="orabpel" logFile="./build.log"
/>
now we are able to see the login page properly. But now the problem is we are not able to login into the application. Following error has occured while trying login:

Process hierarchy in the worklist
Hi
I have studied the Bea's documentation and I don't seem to find any answers to my question about process hierarchies in the worklist. My problem is that user's would like to have their "main processes" shown in the worklist and by clicking the process instance it would show active subprocesses belonging to that specific instance. For example I would have "oversight" process ongoing and number of inquery processes belonging to that specific instance going on. I would like to see first the "oversight" processes only and by clicking the "oversight" process see the inquery processes belonging to it.
I hope you got the grip what I was meaning here... ;)
Is there this kind functionality "out of the box" ?
ThanksThanks for your Reply. Infact I am aware that free characterstics will come into effect when your drill down. When i use a variable on hierarchy and place the info object at rows,Query is working fine and when we kwwp the same info object in free characterstic the report is displaying no applicable data found. Ideally the info object restricted by a variable and kept in free characterstic section will come into effect when we drill down only.
I do not have clue why the report is running in unique way. -

I am trying to use the worklist component from the webcenter catalog. I have setup a connection and specified the URL for the worklist. But after running the page, i get a message displayed in the page saying The Worklist service is unavailable
Can you tell me where am going wrong here? I also am in need of a tutorial which demonstrates the use of the Worklist component.

FSCM Collections - Customer Contact Result in the Worklist
Hi Experts,
I have implemented FSCM Collections at my client and they have a question regarding the customer contact result in the worklist.
Indeed when one creates a customer contact and generates the worklist again (via transaction UDM_GEN_WL), it seems that the customer contact Results (code & name) disappear (regardless of the result type or settings in customizing).
Do you know how we can prevent these data from being removed from the worklist during the worklist generation ?
Thank you for your answer !To all who that might interest: I adressed my questions to a SAP consultant and his answer was the following:
> Regarding question 1: when the worklist is generated, why is the Last Contact Date not updated ?
This is controlled by customizing and whether field u2018reachedu2019 is flagged or not in the u2018result codeu2019 settings. If it is flagged, the last contact time and date is updated when the work list is created.
> Regarding question 2: when the worklist is generated, why is the Last Contact Result not updated ?
This is the standard system behaviour and here is an explanation on why that is.
Once you run UDM_GENWL, the customer contact result is set to blank. SAP Development rationale is the following.
During the day, an specialist opens his/her worklist and successfully contacts the customer. The specialist chooses the result u2018customer reachedu2019 and the work item goes to the completed item list. Now the supervisor runs UDM_GENWL during the night and a new worklist is created. The next day, the specialist accesses his/her worklist. If the result of the customer contact is not reset and still has a value u2018customer reachedu2019, the specialist may get confused and not know whether to contact the customer today or not. That is the reason why it was decided to reset the field result of customer contact when the worklist is created.
I guess we can argue on whether it is the right design or not, but it is the standard system behaviour. Having said that, it is possible to add customer specific fields on the work list screen using BAdI UDM_WL_ITEM_DISP_C. This could be used in order to populate a custom field with the u2018customer contact resultu2019. Using FM UDM_CCT_LAST_GET you can get the last customer contact and you can use FM UDM_CCT_RESULT_PROPERTY_GET to get the description of the result code. This is rather easily done but requires some development. -

Need to run the JOB without Ineractive Screen
Dear All,
We have written a new ABAP program for executing the Macro background Job and used JOB_OPEN,JOB_SUBMIT and JOB_CLOSE Function Modules to run the JOB from ABAP Program. We are able to run the JOB successfully for Any other ABAP Programs through the custom program, but when I tried with the same approach to run the Macro job through my new ABAP Program the JOB is throwing an error.
Error Message is like below
Job started
Step 001 started (program /SAPAPO/TS_BATCH_JOB, variant TEST, user ID GKMN3511
Specify a start time
Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE
Point of doubts:
-- Can we really execute the Macro job through the ABAP program with out any dialogue screen (because when I use the "/SAPAPO/MC8G - Schedule Demand Planning in the Backgroundu201D program in my custom program it pop-ups a interactive screen which I don't want in my ABAP program while scheduling the macro job)
Regards,
RajuIn transaction /sapapo/mc8t --> define the activity that looks at the macro in question
In transaction /sapapo/ mc8d --> define the job that looks at that activity and a selection iD/aggregation level
In transaction /sapapo/ts_batch_run --> save a variant pointing to the job defined in mc8d
you can then run the /sapapo/ts_batch_run job with that variant -
Error while running the Report
Hi ,
I am trying to run the Report in Bex Analyzer. and once I enter the value for the variable, it gives me message that "Element is not correctly define (please check query)" and when i click on the error it gives me detail message as below :
<b><b>Diagnosis
Additional elements that do not have the same dimension, such as quantities and amounts or amounts and ratios, are added to element Sales Qty Gallons .
Procedure
Check your definition.
If you still want to use this addition, you can suppress the dimensionality of one or both subexpressions by using the 'NODIM' operator. The system then interprets this or these subexpressions as nondimensional numbers.
In the executed query, you can use the Key Figure Definition function to analyze element Sales Qty Gallons .</b></b>
Now the thing is I am already using "NODIM" operator to add those elements. and I m not sure why this error is coming up now because I have created this query a while ago and it wasnt giving me any error at that time but now I have make some changes into it and it;s giving me this error while running the Report. But the thing is I didnt change anything in the element for which it;s showing me error.
Thanks,
NaitikNaitik,
There are two or more key figures in your report. They are defined by different dimensions and somewhere you have a formula with both these key figure.
Edit your query and select the Check Query icon. It will tell you which calculation you have the problem with. Edit this calculation to see which key figures are present.
If the formula is logically correct, best thing to do is to put a NODIM( ) on your key figures that make up the formula, and then change you formula to look at the NODIM( ) version.
That will fix things for you,
Regards

Proxy error while running the financial report in workspace.
Hi,
We are using the Hyperion financial reporting 9.3.1 with Essbase as a data source.
While running a report in workspace, we are getting the 'Proxy error' meassage, which is following-

Do anybody have any idea on this? Any help will be appriciated on this.

Mohit JainHi Iain,
We are using Microsoft Internet explorer 6.0. I am not sure about the 'proxy' (As we don't have any proxy setting in Tool--> Internet options--> connection--> LAN setting). We are accessing the Workspace and FR studio via Citrix application. How can I check the proxy.
Also, I noticed one more point, Report has prompt for seleting 'Account hierarchy'.If we run the report only for one account hierarchy, report is returning the data but while running for multiple account hierarchy, it is throwing the 'Proxy error' as memtioned above.
Please help us on this.

Error while running the financial report in the workspace.
Hi,
Im getting the below error while running the financial report in the workspace in HTML mode.
*"Required application module reporting.HRRunDlg is not configured. Please contact your administrator".*
And im not able to login to the Hyperion Financial Reporting as well.. i get the below error
*"You are not authorized to use this functionality. Contact your administrator"*
Can someone let me know how to resolve this error. You don't mention the version, what app server or web server you are using, etc.. That information might be helpful, but in general, you can try the following:
1. Make sure you have gone through the FR Web App deployment steps and verify the settings entered in the Config Tool.
2. For version 11.1.1.x and 9.3.1.x, try opening the report in FR Studio and running it via the FR Studio Print Preview (*bold*not*bold* Web Preview.) If the report runs/processes, then the back-end FR Services are functioning and the issue is confined to the web interface. Verify the FR Web App is up and listening on the designated port (8200, by default), check the FR Web App logs and the App Server (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, OAS) logs for errors/issues.
If the report fails to process in FR Studio Print Preview, then there is a problem with the FR Reporting Server Service. Check to make sure the service is up/functioning and check the FR Report Server logs for errors.
3. Test access to other FR functionality in workspace (ex: Files->Preferences->Financial Reporting or Explore->Tools->Database Connection Manager?) If these don't work, then try to connect to the following URLs:
http://workspaceServer:19000/hr/status.jsp
http://frWebAppServer:8200/hr/status.jsp
Note: The URLs above assume standard/default ports. You may need to adjust them for your environment.
If the first URL fails, but the second URL works, there is a problem with the HTTP redirect settings on the Web Server (Apache, IIS, etc.) Run through the Workspace deployment and make sure the Web Server Config settings point to the right ports/servers.
