Running Tuxedo 11gR1 on Windows 7 Professional

Hi,
I'm having difficulty running Tuxedo 11gR1 on Windows 7 Professional - there appears to be a problem accessing the message catalogues. I ran the following immediately after installing the software:

(the message numbers are the ones expected if an invalid option is specified)
The tmadmin -v option works ok, so it does not appear to be a TUXDIR issue. Can anyone throw some light on this problem? I installed Tux using the "Run as Administrator" option. (I know Windows 7 Professional is not a supported server platform, but Tux has run on the Windows platforms since the days of 6.4......)

Hi:
Tuxedo will look for the locale specific catalog, in %TUXDIR%\locale, by the language(i.e. LANG) specified.
Here are some things to try:
1) Check that the privlilges on the "C:\tuxedo11gR1\locale\C" are readable by all?
2) Possibly Windows 7 does not know LANG=English_South Africa.1252 is the same as LANG=C.
Check what setting you have for LANG (or GC_LANG). Try setting it to "C" or "English_UnitedStates.windows-1252@Default"
3) Try renaimg the default "C:\tuxedo11gR1\locale\C" directory to "C:\tuxedo11gR1\locale\English_South Africa.1252"

    I am trying to install AIA 11gR1 on windows 7 professional machine.
    I am able to connect to web logic from WLST
    nmConnect(domainName=’soa_domain’, username=’weblogic’, password=’weblogic123’)
    then I am able to start admin server and soa server from WLST

    What is the issue here? Why is the node manager status is not active? How do I fix this? Please advise

    Can you start it with startNodeManager from /weblogic/wlserver_10.3/server/bin ?

  • Unable to resolve Error Code 16 for Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC on Windows 7 Professional

    I am running adobe CC on windows 7 professional. Illustrator and Photoshop were both running just fine until about 2 weeks ago. I uninstalled and installed illustrator and photoshop, when that did not work I tried uninstalling and installing Adobe CC - this still did not work. I followed the steps outlined by Adobe on this page: Configuration error 16 | CC, CS. I also tried restoring a backed up version of adobe illustrator. I still have not had any luck resolving the issue. Any solutions?

    We can't know. You have not provided exact system information or details like what the prefs for hardware acceleration look like, what color profiles are used, what peripherals and so on. From simple graphics issues to a flaky driver for a tablet this could be anything.

    Hi Deb,
    Can you provide a bit more detail about your application and environment? How do requests enter the Tuxedo system? By way of a workstation client, a web service client, from a JEE application server such as WLS, etc.? When you say a server, do you literally mean a single host machine? Are you running Tuxedo in a clustered environment with multiple machines at each site? Is there a database involved? Are you using distributed transactions?
    Without knowing how clients are connected and some of the other information above, it's really hard to give much guidance.     Not a solution yet, but received the following from one of the tech people I've been e-mailing back & forth with.
    "I'm sorry that you have been unable to submit your podcast. The podcast submission form is currently offline. When trying to submit the podcast you will receive this message "We are Currently Experienced Technical Difficulties". Once the issue has been resolved, I would be glad to inform you.
    Apple is currently working toward a resolution for the issue you have reported. You will receive an email after the matter has been investigated and further information is available."
    Who knows, maybe the problem isn't with my feed after all.

    If you have the two allotted activations already and one was lost on the hard drive that failed then you need to contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations.

    Whats wrong? HELP!!!

    Then it's time to call Apple tech support while you are still under warranty.  Every iPod comes with complimentary, single-incident telephone technical support within 90 days of your iPod purchase.   If you also purchased AppleCare, then your warranty is extended for technical support and hardware coverage for two years from the original purchase date of your iPod.

    Having trouble when I launch iTunes (version 11.0.2) on my Dell Laptop running Windows 7 Professional (service pack 1).  I get an error message indicating software required to communicate with iPod and mobile phones was not installed correctly.  Do you want iTunes to try to repair this for you?  I normally respond with OK and it immediately tells me "could not be repaired.  Please reinstall iTunes..."  I have done this a number of times to no avail.

    I also notice Quicktime is not getting installed at all.
    That one is normal nowadays (ever since the iTunes versions 10.5.x).
    The software required for communicating with iPods and mobile phones was not installed correctly. Do you want iTunes to try to repair this for you?
    Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
    Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

    Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
    Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
    Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
    (If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
    Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you?
    If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Windows 7 professional - one or more audio services are not running

    I have a windows 7 professional laptop. The audio stopped working suddenly. When i click on the audio icon (with a red x on it) the system tried to troubleshoot the problem. This is the error i see in the troubleshooter.
    One or more audio services isn't is running
    I tried to start the windows audio, windows audio endpoint builder. Neither of them started but gave some error.
    When i tried to restore to a previous version i got an error message that there are some bad sectors on the C drive but could not run the checkdsk on that drive. Instead windows offered me to run it at next reboot. I did multiple reboots but the chkdsk never
    ran.
    I am don't have a windows reinstall disk. Can somebody point me where i can get the windows OS to reinstall it?

    You should probably just download the trial version of pse 12 and see if you can live with it.
    Download a free trial or buy Adobe products | Adobe downloads
    That being said, have you tried to install pse 1 on your computer?
    How much free space is on your hard drive?
    Do you have Internet Explorer 10 or 11?
    Pse 1 can run on windows 7 x64, provided certain conditions are met.

    1. Restart your computer to stop any Adobe process that is running.
    2. Click on the following Adobe  link. Go to the bottom where it says "Still having problems?". Click on the version of Flash Player for your browser.

  • HT1925 I cannot uninstall Bonjour and Quicktime so I can do a complete reinstall of iTunes.  I get an error message stating that both are older versions and to contact technical support.  I am running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3.

    I am trying to update iTunes on my desktop (running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3) and I continue to receive an error message stating that the update cannot continue because Bonjour and Quicktime are older versions and to contact technical support.  I have tried repairing both and tried to uninstall iTunes and all of it's componants and still receive the same message.  Any help getting this issue resolved as soon as possible will be much appreciated.   

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    Next, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot: 
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
