RWB alerts from PI7.1 to Solution Manager via CCMS

Dear All,
I have configured the alerting in RWB to capture Integration and Adapter Engine failure messages.
I am getting a detailed description of the alert text in the Alert Inbox.
Now my requirement is: I need to capture the detailed text message in CCMS to send it back to Solution Manger
(which sends mails through an auto-reaction method)
Could you please give me the necessary configuration steps on the PI and Solution Manager?
Regards,
Murielle

Helloo Mike,
I did tried this but its giving error "Cannot reach the URL (HTTP Code 110: HTTPIO_PLG_CANCELED)" When hitting the check. I am not sure if there is some prerequistes need to be performed  before maintaining the url.
I am maintaining the Htttps and the relevant configuration has been done in webdispatcher system.
Appreciate your inputs inthis regard.

    Solution Manager Via Webdispatcher
    Dear All,
    We have installed the Webdispatcher 7.4 and did the SSL setup and maintained necessary parameters to  access our Portal and ECC systems from internet and its working fine for indepedent Java and ABAP stack.
    Now when we are trying to access the solution manager via webdispatcher using webgui, it opens but when its calling the webdynpros like solman_setup, the page is not openning. The same case is in our portal system also, when its calling the webdynpro of backend system its not openning.
    During our analysis we found the urls are called from the local machine to the backend host (ABAP)  directly and there is no where its communicating the webdispatcher.
    Can you please guide me what kind up setup can be done to access the Portal and solution manager complete functionality via webdispatcher.
    I have checked many posts on the forum and was totally confused on the solution approches. So trying to filter it down to do a proper setup which is feasible to our landscape and infra team.
    FYI Our Solman is on 7.1 SPS10 and portal is on 7.4, OS windows
    Looking forward for your valuable inputs
    Thanks & Regards,
    Satyabrat

    Thanks Samuli,
    I tried it..its working for solman but in my ECC (NW 7.31) its not working for web dynpros. Its going to hostname:8001 port and not redirecting to webdispatcher.
    Pleae let me know if I am missing something.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • How to send Service Ticket from CRM to Solution Manager.

    Hi all,
    at present we are creating service tickets relevant to SAP operations in our CRM instance and we plan to continue to do so.
    We also would like to forward these created service tickets to the Solution Manager Service Desk.
    There is functionality in Solution Manager to bind into an external service desk. However I believe this is only really relevant to binding in another Solution Manager - in any case, there is seemingly very little documentation about this available.
    Has anyone ever done this - sending service tickets from CRM to Solution Manager Service Desk? If so, could someone please let me know where I can find the documentation on that. Any help is much appreciated.
    Cheers,

    Hi Jose Sorli,
    Make the below entry in the bcos_cust table(can be done using transaction sm30) of the satellite system. This entry helps in sending the incident messages from the satellite systems to the solution manager's service desk.
    Column 1: Application: OSS_MSG
    Column 2: + : W
    Column 3: RFC Destination: <<name of the rfc destination b/n your satellite system and solution manager system>>
    Column 4: + : CUST620

    Hello Venkat,
    You will have to include the Portal system in the Central System administration of your Solution Manager.
    As the EP system will be monitored by a sapccmsr running with -j2ee option this one can be configured separately. The agent will be started using the monitoring segment of the J2EE instance and therefore can be started more than once.
    Here you should also use the latest sapccmsr agents.

    I want to monitor all the ccms alerts in all the systems from my solution manager.
    We are using solmon (4.0) SP 14.
    We are using ECC6, all systems in the landscape should configure to solmon
    Like if any backgroind job fails it should come to somon alert inbox,if it coming near to any threshold i should get a alert in solmon alert in box,what ever it shows yellow or red ccms it should come to solmon
    please help me in doing this
    Regards

    Mahesh,
    That is possible with solution manager. You need to define system landscape and setup the system monitoring, central system administration.
    Please check transactions codes SMSY, DSWP and SDCCN.

  • How to post message from SAP to solution manager

    Dear Friends,
    We have configured solution manager service desk and the users were able to send messages so that we can view it in solman ITSM.
    Now we want to bifurcate the messages from different people, hence we woule like to use of Problems in incident management of solman.
    How a end user can create a message so that it comes and fall in problems folder of incident management,
    Normally create support message from SAP will make the message to be visible in incidents of solman ITSM, but we want the message to fall in problems section of ITSM in solman.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Suresh

    Hi,
    In 7.1 we do have dedicated services as Problem management, with the transaction type SMPR. you can create ZMPR and proceed similar to SMIN ( incident) in ITSM.

  • Solution manager and CCMS monitoring of remote database

    I have Solution Manager 7 SP Basis 6 installed. I have oracle remote databases connected successfully. Under DBCockpit I see the instances I want to monitor. I can see the backup, tablespaces, etc. These remote instances are SAP Portal JAVA only version 7 but under the dbcockpit alerts only shows alert monitor. The database check and check conditions are in white. Is there a way to see these and be able to report on them? The CCMS tree under the local solution manager also shows these connected remote instances but they are also white in color as if inactive. All CCMS agents and saposcol are running perfectly on the remote systems. The stats tables have been built, the synonyms for the solution manager are in place. What am I missing?

    Hi,
    Please download that attachment "scripts_1139623.sar" provided in SAP Note 1139623 - Using transaction RZ20 to monitor remote Oracle databases.
    Upon extraction of scripts_1139623.sar the following files you will get.
    rz20_nonabap.sql
    dbcheckora10_oltp.sql
    dbcheckora.sql
    Then Perform the below mentioned Steps to resolve your issue.
    Step 1: Create tables DBCHECKORA and DBMSGORA:
      sqlplus SAPSR3DB/<pwd>
      SQL> @rz20_nonabap.sql
    Step 2: Fill the table DBCHECKORA:
      sqlplus SAPSR3DB/<pwd>
      SQL> @dbcheckora10_oltp
    Step 3: Create the synonyms (as user ora<sid>):
    brconnect -u / -c -f crsyn -o SAPSR3DB
    sqlplus "/as sysdba"
    CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM SAP_DBSTATC FOR SAPSR3DB.DBSTATC;
    CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM SAP_DBCHECKORA FOR SAPSR3DB.DBCHECKORA;
    CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM SAP_DBMSGORA FOR SAPSR3DB.DBMSGORA;
    Step 4: Grant Privileges for OPS$<SID>ADM User for the above created Tables
    sqlplus "/as sysdba"
    grant all on SAPSR3DB.DBSTATC to OPS$<SID>ADM;
    grant all on SAPSR3DB.DBCHECKORA to OPS$<SID>ADM;
    grant all on SAPSR3DB.DBMSGORA to OPS$<SID>ADM;
    grant all on SAPSR3DB.DBSTAIHORA to OPS$<SID>ADM;
    grant all on SAPSR3DB.DBSTATHORA to OPS$<SID>ADM;
    grant all on SAPSR3DB.DBSTATIORA to OPS$<SID>ADM;
    grant all on SAPSR3DB.DBSTATTORA to OPS$<SID>ADM;
    commit;
    Step 5:
    Now after successful execution of above mentioned Steps , in DBACOCKPIT (system configuration), try to save the Remote DB entry with "Collect Alert Data".  It will be saved without any error.
    If you find any errors, post the error contents as a reply of this thread message.

  • Email and SMS Alerts - Solution Manager - PI and EP

    Hi All,
    I am trying to do the below scenario.....But somehow i am lost in the process.
    I have a three system PI landscape and a Solution Manager. I have included the DEV PI in solution manager for CCMS,the CCMS agents are online and it also reflects in RZ20.
    Now the requirement is SOLMAN should send email and sms alerts in below situations which occur in PI system.
    1.The ABAP or JAVA engine goes down.
    2.One of the filesystem crosses certain predefined limit.
    3.Any of the java server node stops working
    4.If any critical job gets cancelled in sm37
    I am looking at steps on how to define the alert categories, auto reaction methods, also the nodes where i have to assign these auto reaction methods.
    I have gone through CCMS documentations, played all sim files and gone through most of the pdf files but i am not able to establish proper steps to do it.
    I am Redhat Linux,Oracle 10g, SOLMAN 7 with PI7
    Can i extend the same for the EP systems also which are pure Java Stack Systems ?
    Also i would like to know if i can send customized alert messages.
    Best Regards
    Raghu

    Hi Juan,
    Thanks for your response.
    I am looking at the MTE classes i.e for the above situations which MTE classes are required.
    Also i have read in some document that we can send the alerts directly to the email IDs and cell numbers without having to mention them in user masters in SU01. Where to mention these ?
    I have my SCOT settings done for email servers.
    The process which i had built up in my mind is all mixed up and i am lost where to do which configuration

    HI
    1.Do i need to configure the CCMS_OnAlert_Email, for every alert that you have, in the satellite system?
    Best thing I would say is to copy method ( RZ21 --> Method --> Method definition )CCMS_OnAlert_Email to Z_CCMS_OnAlert_Email in Solman and assign this auto reaction to  MTE class of satellite systems.
    2. How do i configure this out of solution manager, and bypassing the satellite system?
    You have to install/configure sapccm4x( for monitoring abap ) on satellite systems by giving details about Solution manager. Then the alert will be sent to Solution manager from satellite system and the configured auto reaction will send mails .

    Hi,
    Q. Is it possible to setup the solution manager -above mentioned tasks without Ides system ?
    A. Yes.
    Check with links for
    1.Early watch alert
    This process helps you to identify potential problems early, avoid bottlenecks, and monitor the performance of your ABAP and JAVA systems and your most important business processes, regularly, automatically and effectively. The data collection infrastructure comprises the ABAP Service Data Control Center and the JAVA function module Data Provider. The SAP EarlyWatch Alert in the SAP Solution Manager is a service provided by SAP.
    To be able to use it, you have:
    maintained the non-ABAP systems correctly in the system landscape maintenance (transaction SMSY)
    RFC u2013 Connections between: and an RFC u2013 Connections established.
    your satellite systems and the SAP Solution Manager system
    SAP Solution Manager and the SAP Service Marketplace
    Solution Manager system and Solution Manager Diagnostics
    Cf: Solution Manager IMG (transaction SPRO).
    checked the availability of the tools required for the SAP Service sessions (add-on ST-A/PI), with the report RTCCTOOL.
    activated Alert Monitoring and set-up the Automatic Session Manager (ASM) in the Service Data Control Center (SDCCN) of your satellite systems, for all SAP satellite systems and the central SAP Solution Manager of your solution
    set-up your systems in a solution landscape in the SAP Solution Manager
    configured Solution Manager Diagnostics
    2.System Monitoring
    The system monitoring in the SAP Solution Manager is, as described above, like a system-wide central CCMS. It can also contain the central CCMS (CEN) of satellite systems. These CENs can then monitor other components.
    The graphical display in the SAP Solution Manager gives you access to the alerts of all systems in a solution. You can go to the local or central CCMS of the satellite systems.
    The system proposes the most important alerts in the CCMS monitor collection, according to SAP experience, and their alert thresholds, for each system in the solution, in the system monitoring Session. You can activate or deactivate these alerts. The connection between the local CCMS and the SAP Solution Manager allows you to maintain the alert thresholds directly in the SAP Solution Manager, overwriting the values in the local CCMS.
    3.Central System Administration
    You activate the customizing for business processes in your solution, in the Business Process MONITORING session in the SAP Solution Manager. A monitoring tree element (MTE), or a monitor collection, u201EBPMu201C of several monitoring objects, is created in the local or central (CEN) CCMS of the satellite system.
    The data is collected for the monitoring types of the business process monitoring in contrast to system monitoring, as follows:
    ● The system collects performance (dialog transactions), posting cancellations (V1 and V2) and u201EOther CCMSu201C and interface data, in the local CCMS of the satellite systems.
    ● The system collects background processing, application list, application monitors, delivery lists, and document size data, in the central SAP Solution Manager CCMS.
    The SAP Solution Manager system copies the data from the local CCMS.
    The graphical display in the SAP Solution Manager simplifies access to the alerts for the business processes, business process steps or the interfaces between the systems in a solution. You can go to the local CCMS of the satellite systems.
    The connection between the local CCMS and the SAP Solution Manager allows you to maintain the alert thresholds directly in the SAP Solution Manager. These overwrite the values in the local CCMS.
    4.Business Process Monitoring
    The system and business process monitoring (including interface monitoring) in the SAP Solution Manager, both use the Computing Center Management System (CCMS) (transaction RZ20) architecture. This means that system alerts which occur in the local CCMS, are passed to the SAP Solution Manager via RFC connections between the SAP Solution Manager and the satellites. The system shows these alerts in a graphic or in Sessions. You can also handle the alerts centrally, without having to go to the local CCMS of the satellite systems.
    You can see the alerts from several systems in a solution landscape in the SAP Solution Manager, in a graphical overview, in contrast to the local CCMS of the SAP Solution Manager satellite systems. This is the view of a central CCMS (CEN). You can also monitor non-SAP systems in a central CCMS (CEN) of a satellite system

  • Centralized View for all the Project Document in Solution Manager

    we assign roadmap to our Implementation project and as per roadmap we upload different documents for the project(e.g. business case, project charter) at different phases of roadmap. can we see all the documents related to a project from a single centralized view??

    Hi B_J,
    it is correct, each document has attributes, on the attribute tab in the button bar, there is an icon to generate an url for the selected document. This link is stored in your windows clipboard, so you can past this link in an e-mail or wordfile. The person who gets the e-mail must have access to the Solution Manager via network, he needs no personal user in the system. The link used a service of Solution Manager(check in the Solution Manager IMG at the HTTP services). This service requires a user to read the document. If you have no user, then it is necessary that in the system a default user is assigned to the service or to its alias. Now to your second use case, the approval, you can not bring any information INTO Solution Manager, you can only answer the e-mail, with the info, yes the document is OK, but you can not set a status or an other attribute at the document, that the document is approved.

  • Integrating Trex search With Solution manager

    HI Guys,
    Please help me with this .
    Let's say the solution manager is integrated in the SAP Portal and trex is available in the SAP portal.
    Can we search documents stored in the solution manager via the trex which is integrated in the SAP Portal? Is there a how-to guide available on the config?
    Any thoughts are appreciated.
    Dev.

    Hi Dev
    I'm facing a similar problem.
    We have a trex server. We connected the TRex to our EP KM. Fulltext search in our Portal KM works well.
    We have several project documentations on our Solution Manager. I was hoping I could connect the KM repository of the solution manager to our TREX and search the docs from EP. I was able to connect the Solution Manager repository to Trex. The index is working well.
    The procedure is described in note 750623 but unfortunately  the note is far away from a how to guide so I hope this helps:
    Trex:
    - Go to Admin Tool. Then landscape - connectivity and click on create "Connection". Enter system information of your solution manager system. Then click on Create - RFC Destination (sm59).
    Solution Manager:
    - Transaction srmo: Create a new Search Server Relation (DRFUZZY) and enter the RFC Destination you created in the above step and set it to default.
    - Transaction spro: SAP Solution Manager - Cross-Scenario Settings - Document Management - Servers - Connect Index Server for Full Text Search.   Click on "Define Index Readiness" and mark both entries for "IWBSolar" and save.
    - Now go tou se38 and start the report RSTIRIDX_REINDEX. Here enter IWBSOlAR for document area and execute.
    - Now go back to spro: Start the IMG activity "Schedule Asynchronous Indexing and De-indexing" and schedule the indexing job (Make sure you have executed the report RSTIRIDX_REINDEX before).
    If you want to test the search go to transaction SKPR07, go to tools, select document area IWB Solar and click on "test search".
    Unfortunately I don't know if there is any bether transaction for the search.
    I was looking for a possibility to search from EP directly to the solman KM.  But unfortunately I didnt' find a solution for this. The only way I know is to connect the solution manager over a transaction iview im EP.
    Hope I could help.
    Marco
