Sales Employee wise Profitability in COPA

Below mentioned are COPA characteristics in current structure. Mentioned in RED are characteristics based on Derivation Logic.

I am able to run COPA Assessment cycle for all other segmental level characteristics maintained in KEQ3, But for Sales Employee my logic failed i Have searched for some SAP notes in which SAP mentioned that Sales employee as a receiver characteristic  we can not run assessment cycle.
SAP Note : 74399
But in this case my derivation logic is failed as
Supervisor
Manager
Segment
Are based on Sales Employee based derivation logic.
In this case how to run KEU5 with Sales employee as a receiver characteristic or else any work around is available for the same.

I have maintained 4 Custom Characteristic
WW010 Sales employee
WW011 Supervisor
WW012 Manager
WW013 Segment
KEDR with Move Concept from(Std characteristic) KMVTNR to WW010 (Custom Characteristic)
KEDR Maintained for Supervisor and manager based on Sales Employee (WW010) to flow Revenue & Cogs
similarly KEDR maintained for Segment on different combination like customer grouping
Now system has revenue posted with 
WW011 Supervisor
WW012 Manager
WW013 Segment
and the same can be used in Assessment cycle for OH allocation.
But if i keep (Std characteristic) KMVTNR for assessment i am unable to allocate OH to this due to system constraints.
So i am having WW010 (Custom Characteristic) with flow Revenue & Cogs and i am planning to allocate OH to this through COPA Assessment cycle..... And display only this characteristic in the COPA reports.
Is it fine.... May i proceed with this which will resolve my issue for Sales Employee based profitability...

    This is the standard T Code for sales employee-MCTI
    But as per your requirement we hv to create.
    Examplemy past implimantation..we hv captured sales employee as partner function.sales employee1& 2  with peoper  partner determination proceture.then we hv captured at Billing document Header Partner function.
    This Sales employee name has to captured through HR Master data.According U hv to say only the business process and from where data has to captured to ABAPER.

  • Sales employee wise report

    Hi,
    I need a report to see total sales by sales employee wise. We are using HR module and I am able to select sales employee in my sales order from the HR master. However when I run the report MCTI, I am not able to select the sales employee (no drop down available). I guess the issue is with sales employee data from sales order not getting updated in LIS. Can any one tell me the settings to update sales employee data in LIS.

    Hi Girish,
    If you run MCTI without sales employee selection (use just sales org, distr. channel or whatever), what's the result? Do you see a bunch of zeros 00000000 under the sales employee column?
    In VPE3, are you able to find the sales ppl list under Personnel no. (with restriction to the relevant sales area)?

  • Product wise profitability without COPA

    Dear Friends
    I have a problem with my client.
    We are implementing SAP R/3 Ecc 6.0 version.  Our client is having only one manufacturing plant, he is making 8 different products in the same plant.  There they use common materials and common utilities for 8 products.  When we prepare the Org.Structure, we have proposed single Plant and single profit center.  Initially he asked us to maintain 8 different plants for each product, some how we could able to convinced him that it is not possible.  Since, he wanted to see product wise profitability, he is insisting us to maintain 8 different profit centres or segments.  We said it is also not possible, since he has a common expenses and materials, we have suggested to go for COPA or Z report.  He does not want to take  COPA or Z report for the same. 
    In such scenario, how can we address his requirement.  Experts please throw light at the earliest possible.

    Hi,
    With 8 Products as Cost Centers and Profit Centers, you may have to define the GL A/cs accordingly to capture the costs & revenues. Purchase, Inventory, Consumption, Inventory Change, GR/IR Clg/,
    Cost of Goods Sold, Sales etc.  You can create Customer Group also Product wise. Make OBYC settings accordingly and define OB40 relatively. Valuation area for SFG & Finished goods will have to different so that it captures the relative accounts assignments according to Products. For each BOM & Routing will be well defined for each product to be manufactured.  You will have to define the relative
    Work Centers and their activities linked to product wise cost centers with necessary costing sheet and
    cost component structure and allocation structure. Create Cost center and Profit Center Heirarchy profit wise.

    Can someone tell me how invoice wise profitability be trached through CO Module.
    The client is a trading concern, engaged in import and export of certain materials.
    it currently tracks the profit and cost each invoice wise. All the direct cost related to each invoice are captured to that cost center/ profit center (created invoice wise)
    All other administrative costs are then divided based on some percentage.
    How can the above scenario mapped in the SAP System

    Values from SD flow to CO thru a value field. Condition types are maintained by SD in Pricing procedure and account key is assigned to condition type entry flows into FI.
    COPA report is based on value fields you can define report as per requirement using value fields.

  • Update sales employee to profitability analysis automaticaly

    Dear All
    I have problem like this:
    an order was entered but had the wrong Sales Employee before billing. We made the change in the order header but it is not updated to profitability analysis segment of every item. How can I make this update automatically?

    You could try using re-alignments with that Sales order.  It will only correct it at PA segment level (ce4XXXX table) and not line item level (ce1xxxx table.  It will then reflect correctly in the reports.

    Can anyone tell me how to make order update for changes made to Sales Orders after the fact.
    For Example:

    Hello,
    One option is in VA05, Edit header tab, mass chnages, you can check the options there,
    individual chnages in each line item else you may write a LSMW or a BDc for the chnages based on the documets affected

  • Sales employee field in VA01 blocked & which fields are must to see in COPA

    Hi,
    I am able to see all the transactions from SD  and FI direct postings coming into COPA.
    But the  management wants to see the profitability in Sales employee level also.
    I am able to give the sales employee wise details in FI but in SD vao1 while I create a sales order the sales employee field in account assignments is blocked.
    I gave the same information in the other tab Partner function, but still I am not able to see the transaction in COPA  at sales employee level.
    Also please let me know if I have make all the characteristics I am seeing in COPA S mandatory like(WBS element, sales order, sales employee, ) mandatory or is it sufficient that I keep only profit center as a mandatory field.
    I feel profit center should be kept as mandatory field in SD and FI posting while remaining are all optional.
    Please explin me how I should unblock the sales employee in Va01 and also let me know the logic why we have to keep the fields optional or mandatory.
    Please assist me.

    Leave the fields as they are.. NO need to make any thing as optional or mandatory
    Include the sales employee as partner fucntion in your sales order... You also need to write derivation rules in KEDR for the same
    You will need to write 2 derivation rules for each partner function
    1. In one Der Rule, make the sale order item KDPOS as constant value 0000
    2. In the other one, dont make it a constant....Leave it as it is
    DERIVATION RULE 1

    VBPA-VBELN = COPA-KAUFN
    VBPA-POSNR = COPA-KDPOS
    VBPA-PARVW = GLOBAL-USERTEMP1 (Click on Magnifying lens.. Specify Constant = Your SD Part Function)

  • Model wise profitability report

    As per our new client business requirement(Bus manufacturing company) we can define division specific sales organization. Here product groups are treated as division.  We have models of finished goods (Vehicle). In vehicle finished goods there are 9 models. These 9 models are treated as profit center and vehicle is my business area. Because these 9 models(divisions) are sub part of finished item Vehicle. It means customer orders belongs to that 9 models for that vehicle which we can track the customer order as per model wise. This is the scenario.
    In that scenario If Component/Material A is used in two Models Naya and Intea then which Profit Centre  to be entered at Material master level and how do we get  Profitability analysis for both Models ?

    I would not prefer to have Model wise Profit center because that would cause problem which you are facing... If a materal is common, then you need to create Common PC also
    Product Group can give you Model wise Profitability from COPA or PCA....
    PC for Models should be created when the Investment made for each model is separately identifiable i.e. the Production facility, Capital employed, etc
    I would also not recommend Model wise Division in SD because you will end up maintaining huge amount of Master data... A product group and Product hierarchy should suffice

    I have senario where i wanted to give a commission to each sales employee. Also i dosenot want to create Sales Employee?bcoz HR module is not implemented?
    Is it possible to give commission to sales employee?
    Plz send what are the customization for the same?

    Sales commissions can be configured frm SD if they are simple in nature. This is done through rebates. If the commission and management is complex in nature then it can be done through ICM ( Incentives and Commissions Management )
    The following procedure details the configuration of the Sales commission for Employee. The problems could e at any one of the following steps.
    You need to create a partner function for sales employee, a copy of the standard partner function available in SAP. Then do the appropriate partner determination, that is assignment to the sales document and item partner determination procedure. Next step is to create master data for all your sales employees as Vendors, assign these masters you created to the sales order at item level.
    We can see the orders sales employee wise in VA05 provided we add the sales employee partner function in the index list under sales and distribution, sales, lists, set updating of partner index.
    In the  pricing procedure, we need to maintain a condition for sales employee commissions and choose whether you want to enter the commissions percentage manually or prefer automatic determination. Here we need to get an input from the client as to whether they have fixed or variable commission percentages.
    Create an accrual account key for this and assign it to the condition type in the pricing procedure and remember that the condition type in the procedure should be statistical and not relevant for printing.
    Next step is to make the settlements after the Invoices have been posted and the relevant commissions accrued to a G/L Account.
    Now settlements could be manual as well as automatic. If you choose to make automatic settlements, there needs to be a ZREPORT which makes a vendor payment posting or if the settlement is manual, you need to might be run a BDC periodically to post the invoices for the so called Vendors (Sales Employee)

    Assign sales employee in customer master or in your sales order so that it is copied to billing as well,
    now go to the following path IMG>Sales and Distribution>Sales Support>Lists>Set updating of Partner Index
    Trans.group---- Function -Name
    7(billing)----SE--
    Sales employee
    Now Goto T.code VF05 Press Partner function button
    Choose SE (Sales Employee) from F4 help
    now give your Sales Employee number and execute
    you will get the list of your sales employee

    Dear Gurus,
    All my standard reports are ok, but when I am running the sales employee report, it maintain in the order and the invoice. System cant show the result against specific sales employee.
    Although if I run the same report with out assign the sale employee on the selection screen it through the data, and still in the drill down cant shows the sales employee wise breakup. MC-Q is the tcode.

    If you want to view sales employe analysis then first you check how values should updated in LIS for sales employee.
    Go to OMO1 double click on info-structure S006 - Sales employee
    Then click on day and synchronous updating-1 so values will update daily and you can able to view it immediately
    OR
    Alternatively you can view report on basis of sales employee through some around the work
    VA05for sales order and VF05 for Invoice where under partner function maintain your Sales employe partn. function and execute.
    Where as in VA05N enter Partner Functions Responsible and Personnel Number Responsible and execute report.

    Dear Friends,
    I am creating a plant-wise profitability COPA report. Rows in the report contains sales, expenses and profit and the columns are the plants. The report is created with form.
    Our company has more than 20 plants and they want all the plants to appear in single report. At present I am only able to add maximum 13 columns in the report (12 columns for plants and 13th column for total) in the form as I am unable to add further columns for plants.
    Could anyone guide me as to how can I have all the 20- 25 columns in the Form. Is there any way to change the form-size to accomodate all the plants.
    Further, All plants do not have data every month, so is it possible to hide the plant columns which does not have any data for the month.
