Sales order for pipeline material type..

Hi All,
How can we raise the sales order for pipeline material..
Is schedule lines will be there for the sales order raised for pipeline material???
Rgds,
Pavan

Hi
Seems you working on  IS Utilities, please corerct if Wrong and if I am wrong to guess you are working on IS Utilities then the next story dosn't make any sence.
PIPEline material type is used for Materials such as oil, power, or water that flow into the production process directly from a pipeline, line, or other type of conduit. Since pipeline materials are always available, they are not planned.
To answer specifically what you asked would be as follows:
1. The fact that material type is PIPE from an SD standpoint is irrelevant
2. lets consider your PIPEline material is power, your UOM should be Kilowatt hours and establish price for it.
3. "deliver" the material and bill it.
However, taking the whole business context of sale of electricity into account why you want to sell PIPEline material without using IS Utilities. Typically electrical utiltity requirements have some unique challenges not easily met by SD:
1. Amount to be billed to the customer is from meter readings.
2. The bill to the customer ( at least in North America) is not so much of an invoice as opposed to statement of accounts that includes meter readings, consumption history etc.
I will suggest to look into IS Utilties first before getting into SD.

  • In sales order for the condition type MWST, **Tax code** is displaying wron

    Hi
In sales order for the condition type MWST, *Tax code* is displaying wrongly at header level i.e. FF instead of AO (under account determination tab)
AO tax is 0% but for FF it is 19%
I have checked with the Access sequence it is picking access 08 correctly according to this it should show AO in tax code field for MWST but it is not so..
There is a manual change for tax classification for material master in va02 initially it was blank now it is changed to ' 0 ' is any way influencing....?
Even if I consider material tax classification and customer tax code  should not be FF because  tax code  FF is not maintained for the combination of access sequences for condition type MWST
    Please help me.

    Dear Rajendra,
There is a manual change for tax classification for material master in va02 initially it was blank now it is changed to ' 0 ' is any way influencing....?
Definitely material Tax classification will influence to determine the Tax code.
-->So Make sure that customer and material master having proper tax classification indicator.
-->Have you Update the price after changing the tax classification in the sales order.by going to item dat -->condition tab then click on Update push button bottom of the conditions screen.
-->Once again the check the condition record maintanence also for your MWST access sequence.
I hope this will help you,

  • Creation of Sale Order for configurable material with availability check.

    Hi,
We have a scenario in which the material is configurable. The configurable material (X) has few variants (Ex: X1, X2, X3, X4, X5). While booking the sale order, we use the material number (X).
Further, the material planning is done for the variants X1, X2, X3, X4, X5. The standard variants are planned for production in advance.
    1.     While booking the sale order, we want the availability check of the stock (type matching to happen). What needs to be done in configuration?
    2.     While booking the sale order, there is a possibility that the configuration selected will not match with any of the standard variants due to some additional requirements of the optional features, in such cases how to link the standard variants to the sale order & create requirement for additional requirements.
    Regards,
    Umesh

    Hi Umesh,
1.Create material master for configurable material and variants in mm01.
2.Maintain BOM for the configurable material in CS01
               3. Configur the variant configuration steps
                  a. Create charecteristics T.code CT04
                  b. Create values and assign classes
                  c. assign the values to charecteristics
                  d . Maitain dependence  T.code CU01
                  e.create configuration profile t.code CU41
                  f.stimulate the configuration profile.
    4. Do the availability check configuration through this path
IMG --> Sales and distribution > Basic functions ,> Availabilty check and Transfer of requirements.
    5. Maintain the Availbility check field and MRP views in the material masters other wise you sit with PP people and do that
I hope it will help you

  • Supress VC in sales order for configurable material

    Hi,
this might sound like a weird request but I am looking for a way to prevent variant configuration for a configurable material in a sales order.
For internal process purposes we would like to create an intermediate sales order with a custom document type and custom item categories.
When we create the document we reference 'real' sales orders which contain configurable materials.
When copying those items over to the new custom sales order type, I'd like to prevent the VC for this item in the new order.
The custom item category I set up is not marked as configurable (no configuration strategy/structure scope/etc...)
I tried to do this with custom code in copy control but it still is bringing up the VC screen which I want to prevent.
Appreciate any ideas which could help.
    Thanks,
    Markus

    Hi Markus,
I believe whether the configuration screen should appear or not depends on whether the material is marked configurable or not in the master data. Therefore, it may not be possible to realize your requirement via the item category settings. You probably need to do some debugging to figure out where the configuration screen is called and then add some item category based check there.

  • Material variant replacement in sales order for Configurable Material

    HI
I am using variant configuration. In this i have created material A as configurable material and have Preconfigured Material B as its variant by assigning configurable material in MRP 3 view.
Now when i am creating Order for material A i.e. Configurable material and the characteristics values are same as that of Preconfigured material system is not replacing Configurable material with Preconfigured material.
    Please help me out.
    Regards,
    Anand.

Even after maintaining the item category MTAC(Mills Make to order config at mat level), the configurable material is not getting replaced in the sales order (va02). It is just showing material variant exists for the configurable material.
The setting in item category for configuration is.
Config. Strategy     01(Sales Order Strategy (TAC, TAM))
Mat. Variant Action  4 (Replace configurable material (Append and change))
ATP material variant 2 (Do not substitute if not completely available)
Structure scope      D (Configuration, poss. with BOM explosion)
I have maintained the stock for material variant as well to take care of ATP material varinat setting shown above.
    Please suggest if missing something.

But still i am able to create a sales order but the configuration data that i give is not getting populated in the sales order.

Not sure... but when you create the material master with DIEN as the material type the item category group will be deafulted to LEIS, change this to BANS or maintain TAS in the order and try. Please post the result.

  • Create one sales order for two customers

    Hello to all.
I have to plan the following development. Our client can create one sales order for one material and can bill it between two or more payers.
In SAP you would have to create one sales order for each customer and divide the material proportionately between the customers. The doubt is if there is any development with user-exits,badis,... so you can create only one sales order with two "payers" partner functions; you would put a % of participation in each payment so the sistem would create two invoices dividing the total amount of the sales order between the payers.
    Could anyone help me?
    Regards

    Tonnetti,
If you want 2payers to  be possible in the same sales order, you  have to include the material as two line items. Then go to each line item, the partners tab and then change the payer there. So now the header partner will have 2payers, and there will be different payers for each line item.
Now you can do a delivery or billing as needed. For a single sales order, two invoices will be created as the payers are different. These invoices can be send to respective payers and the payment can be processed from these payers.
Hope this helps for your scenario.
    Reward if this helps.

  • Generating sales order for semifinished product

Hello every one. I am finding difficulty in creating a particular planning scenario. I require to sell a semi finished material which is assigned to a finished material. Finished product strategy is 50. Semi finished has strategy group with main strategy 70 and another strategy 50. While running mrp for finished material everything is running perfectly. But if i generate sales order for semi finished it is generating without errors, but requirements are not generated for the semi finished in MD04. Please provide solution.

    Hi Sayak,
MRP can not generate sales order. It is an element which is being created manually after the customer is giving us PO. Against a sales order planned/production/Purchase order can be created.MRP will create production/procurement element. Not the sales order.
If you want to create sales order for semi material, create it manually(Or create CIR). The availability check should be 2 for the semi. Then it should appear in MD04 screen after putting the semi material in input screen.
Your concept is the semi should be consumed for finished product as well can be sold also.
In that case you have to create sales order separately. If some requirement is generated (PIR etc) internally, then MRP can take care of those requirement. But not the sales order.
If you are talking with sales BOM, that is a different concept.
    Hope I made it clear.
    Regards,
    Krishnendu.

  • Different Tax base in pricing procedure for a single sales order for different line item material.

    Hi,
I have a scenario wherein in a sales order, for two different material, the tax base of pricing should get triggered on the basis of sold to party and the material entered at line item level.
Logic triggers on the basis of Region of Customer & a unique field in the Material Master but problem comes in the calculation of Tax base as the sequence of condition type (from – to)  is already defined in the pricing procedure to pick from a particular step but in second line item the base is different i.e. the sequence of condition types that are maintained in pricing procedure should be different for Tax to calculate differently.
Kindly suggest if the same can be handled in a single pricing procedure and dynamically taking care of condition type sequence through Alt Cal Base Formula, so far I’ve tried both Alt Cal Formula & Base but it is not working
Client doesn’t want to go ahead by creating two different orders (through separate Pricing Procedure) for that. They want to have both materials in same order.
Kindly suggest a suitable way to handle this scenario.
    Regards,
    Aashika Agarwal

    Hi,
Click on the ''check availability'' button at item overview and then click on ''One-time delivery'' on the top. This will ensure that you will have only one delivery for whatever quantity is confirmed on that date.
If you want to apply this rule for all orders across a sales area, then you can do the below configuration step :
SPRO->sales and distribution->basic functions->availability check with ATP logic->Define default settings-> Here in avail. checking rule select A (one time delivery). This will ensure that all orders created for a particular sales area will have only one delivery.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error while creating sales order for material with another DIVISION

    Hello Friends,
I have a problem with my sales order creation.
I have defined a new sales area 0010 / 10 / 01. I have the sales order type assigned to this sales area. (in VOV8 for the sales order type, in the 'General Control' the 'item division' is flagged.
Now, I have created the sold to party XYZ with all the partner functions defaulted same as the sold to party for the sales area 0010 / 10 / 01.
NOW, I have the material ABC with the DIVISION 10 in the basic data. I have extended the material to my sales org & dist. channel & plant.
Now, while creating the sales order for my sales area 0010 / 10 / 01 , I enter the sold to party XYZ - it is OK. But when I enter the material ABC, I get the error - "SHIP TO PARTY IS NOT DEFINED FOR SALES AREA 0010 / 10 / 10"
Please help to resolve the issue.
Edited by: Vivek on Aug 13, 2009 9:04 AM

    Hi
Common division for Material Master data will not work
Because in the material master Division is a field not an organizational unit
Means when you create MMR you will give sales org, DC, Plant  as organizational units and then enter but not division
Division is a field maintained in basic data and sales org data 1
This is the reason in t code you will find in t code VOR2 Common division only customer and conditions but not materials
But in t code VOR1 Common DC ,customer  conditions and materials all there are available (you can check these t codes)
Coming to your issue Item div is clecked in your order type
This means the division in MMR has the priority or control for that order type
Your header division is 01 ( taken from customers sales area) and item division is 10 (taken from MMR as per your post)
    So it differs
To process this order with Item div is clecked in your order type you need to extend your Sold to party ABC to the sales area 0010/10/10 (the sales area where the division of the material falls)
    or alternatively
There should be a  customer say DEF created in sales area 0010/10/10 who will be a ship to party ( your error is also the same)
for your ABC  that is sold to party in sales area 0010/10/01 where the order is registered
    Hope yopu are getting it
ABC in sales area 0010/10/01 will have  or should have ship to paty DEF  in sales area 0010/10/10
    or
ABC should operate in in sales area 0010/10/10  too
If item division is not ticked then these are not necessary as the header division 01 will be valid for all items and syatem will not look MMR at all for division
    Regards
    Raja
