Sales Order with WBS Elements

Hi,
I have a sales order having lot of WBS elements assigned.....but I am not able to generate revenue  for one WBS element out of them.
Can anyone tell what should I do for the same.

Krishna Singh.

Hi,
Please check in CJ20N , whether this WBS e has been marked as a billing element or not.
I think this is not marked as a billing element.
Thanks,

  • Link of vendor in sales order through WBS element

    Hi
My sales order line items are having WBS assigned. All these line items are direct bought out items from vendors and supplied to customer.
Please suggest me link of vendor in sales order through WBS element.
I want to use the same logic for billing split criteria for individual line items(hence for individual vendors) Presently my client is getting common invoice for all line items but they want separate invoice for each line items.
    Awaiting for your valuable inputs
    Thanks

    Hi Manoj,
I need to understand your process in more detail.
How do you procure?  Create a sales order with TAS item category to create a PReq and PO?
Very simple explanation: Resource Related billing/DIP profiles are used to accumulate costs on WBS elements and then bill the client as needed.

  • Copy partner function from sales order to WBS element

    Hello
Does someone know if it is possible to copy the partner function and its assignment from the sales order to the WBS element?
In our project, we create sales order with article having a strategy group (85) view MRP3. Thanks to that a network and a WBS element is created in background based on template. In the template a partner determination procedure is maintained => partner tab in the WBS element is displayed (CJ20N) but the partners maintained in the sales order are not populated.
Is something missing in the customizing?
Is it possible to do it in standard?
    Kind regards
    Chris

    Hello Tison.
I guess you have the Project created with a BAPI in your system in background. As far as I have seen I'd try the following in ABAP to create Partners in the Project Definition: BAPI_BUS2001_PARTNER_CREATE_M or the corresponding method ProjectDefinitionPI.PartnerCreateMultiple. This should happen in background when the Project is created also.
    Best regards.

  • Sales Order with WBS - Error CJ 070

    Hello Friends,
I have got one typical requirement from our client.
The client is in cosmetics business and would be spending huge amount for promotional campaigns. Now the client would like to collect all the costs under WBS tool as statistical and wanted to link the WBS to the sale order. So that we can compare the sales generated for each campaign.
Now when I try to simulate the scenario, the system is throwing the following error message:
    Message no. CJ070
    Diagnosis
You are attempting to assign a sales document to WBS element I/0065-2-1. WBS element I/0065-2-1 is a statistical WBS element. In this case you cannot assign a sales document item.
And in addition to this, the client does not want to use other objects like internal order etc. for some other reasons.
Can you please advise any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Santosh Varanasi

    Hello  Santosh ,
Could you please refer to the SAP note 43875, which explained the
    system behaviour about CJ070?
In the standard system, when creating a sales order and trying to assign
the sales order item to a statistical WBS element, error message
CJ 070= "WBS element & is a statistical WBS elemement" is displayed.
A statistical WBS element cannot be the account assignment
object for a sales order item as correctly indicated in the attached
note 43875. This is the standard system behaviour.
We don't recommend you to deactivate the error message CJ070 because of
the fact that the assigmnet will be checked in the sales order, in the
delivery - during the PGI and in the billing. Althrough you will be able
to create a sales order, you will not be able to make PGI (for
    example).
The only one way to use the statistical WBS element in the sales order
is to use the statistical internal order in the sales order and
assign this statistical internal order to a statistical WBS element.

  • COPA - Multiple Sales Order with one wbs element.  COPA does not reference

COPA - Multiple Sales Order with one wbs element.  COPA does not reference of reference of sales order.
    Hi All
Currently we are in process of implementation of project related to Club Service for one of the client.
Concept of this project is - there is "X" company engaged in supporting the different shared services for their client e.g. Client IBM - Shared Support Services of IBM is
    u2022     IDM
    u2022     Software Installation
    u2022     Help Desk
    u2022     Maintenance
Co.. "X' is performing these services for IBM.    So for Co. "X" - IBM is one engagement. Like this way Co. X is performing such activities for many companies e.g. microsoft, HP, ABN AMRO etc.
Objective - Get the consolidate report from COPA (Customer wise/services wise/sales order wise e.g. IBM/HelpDesk/10002/10).
We propose a solution to create a project for each engagement and with WBS element. Each WBS element of different services e.g.
    Project IBM Inc.  100.100
    WBS Element    100.100.IDM
    WBS Element    100.100.SoftIns
    WBS Element    100.100.HelpDesk
    WBS Element    100.100.Maintainance
For this engagement (IBM), we are creating a sales order with line items (for services) and account assignment is WBS element.  In a sales order, there may be two lines for one services.   In a particular period, there are many such sales orders for this engagement... Milestone billing/period billing is used depending upon the services rendered.
Now Cost Object will be WBS Element. So cost and revenue will posted to WBS and from this it goes to COPA.  In a month of May 2009 two - sales order is booked with three different line items with account assignment is WBS element.
Sales Order Line Item No.....Item                  Account Assignment                      Revenue
    10000          100     IDM      100.100.IDM              1000
    10000          200     HELPDESK      100.100.HelpDesk              2000
    10000          100     Maintenance      100.100.Maintainance         3000
Another Sales order booked with two different line items
    10000          100      IDM     100.100.IDM          3000
    10000          200      HELPDESK     100.100.HelpDesk          4000
Cost will be booked directly against WBS element.
In sales order level, there is no profitability segment, as cost object is WBS element.
Billing, revenue will be posted directly to wbs element, from this revenue and cost of sales goes to COPA.
    Now in COPA,
1.There is only one line for WBS element ex. 100.100.IDM with revenue 4000 (combing both the sales order)
2.There is only one line for WBS element ex. 100.100.HelpDesk with revenue 6000 (combing both the sales order)
3.There is only one line for WBS element ex. 100.100.Maintainance with revenue 4000
In above case 1 & 2 we will not have reference of sales order and sales order line item in COPA table. There is only one line for this.  So we can not have reporting to sales order level.
Is there any way by this the reference of sales order and sales order line will come in COPA for case 1 & 2.
    Please help in this issue.

    Hi,
For these case (multiple materials with different characteristics); have you consider going to next level of WBS Elements. Meaning; lets say currently you are assigning WBS "Engineering (which is a level 2 WBS)" to all the items in SO. Instead under "Engineering" create 2 or 3 level 3 WBS Elements as E1, E2 etc and assign them 1:1 to your sales order line items. This would eliminate the exit as welll as complex development option. And also will let you get all the data in COPA and in turn you can pull to BW as well for reporting. Just a thought.

  • Sales Order creation with WBS Element

    Hi Friends,
I tried to create a sales order with each line item being associated with a WBS Element based on the material. But when i try to save the document its throwing an error saying that 'WBS element <elt_name> is not a billing element'. What does this mean?
    Prompt replies would be rewarded.
    Thanks in advance.
    Tamilarasan.

    Hi Tamilarasan,
You must select the checkbox of "Billing element" in the frame "Operative indicators". If you don't see this check box, you must display it from SPRO PS customizing => Define field selection for WBS structures.

  • Settling of Cost for Production Order via WBS Element

    Hi Gurus,
Just would like to briefly understand, how I can make use of the WBS Element in the Production Order (Assignment tab) to use as cost settling for a production order? How do i automate the WBS Element in the production Order for a set of given parameters? Is there a config I can use to set a profile?
I have a scenario here as below:
I have various types of production orders:
    PO 1 = Production A
    PO 2 = Production B
    PO 3 = Production C
And for each of the above, I will individually have a WBS Element.
    PO1 - WBS Element A
    PO2 - WBS Element B
    PO3 - WBS Element C
And WBS Element A, B and C is a Level 2 WBS Element which are tied to WBS Element Z (Level 1 WBS Element), which will be settled to a project.
Appreciate your kind feedback on the above on how I can make it work in the PP Order.
    Thanks.
    Rgds.

  • Sales order with milestone billing

    Hi,
We are migrating sales orders with milestone billing to ECC 6.0 system.   There are line items in the sales orders in the billing plan which have been completely billed.  For line items which have not been billed, there is billing block which flows from the WBS element attached to the line item.
We want to transfer the sales orders to the new system with same status of billing completed for the line items for billing dates which have been billed.  This will ensure that billing is not done again in the new system for these billing dates.
Kindly guide as to how we can achieve this.
    Regards,

    Hi,
We are moving the orders from ECC 6.0 system to ECC 6.0 system only.
The challenge is to that customer wants the orders with milestones  completely billied as it is in the system.
When we bring the orders to the new system, how to ensure this status for milestones which have already been billed.

There is an OSS note <a href="https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/370988">Note 370988 - BAPIs in SD: Creation with reference</a>
    <i><b>Symptom</b>
This note describes the problems of the 'Create with reference' function when using BAPIs to create sales documents.
If you are working online, you can use this function module to create a sales document with reference to an existing sales document or a billing document (for example, a debit or credit memo request) according to fixed rules. The rules for transferring information from the source document to the target document are defined in the copying control on header and item level. The creation with reference permits an item selection.
When you use BAPIs in SD, a function of this type is not fully available. A reference is only possible for a quantity contract, so that the target quantity of the contract can be reduced by the order quantity of the sales document. Furthermore, the document flow is also updated.
As an alternative to 'Create with reference' in Transaction VA01, two variants are provided for solving the 'Create with reference' problem in the BAPI.
          1. Create a '1:1 ' - that is, a document copy of a sales document (customer quotation, order) with 'BAPI_SALESDOCUMENT_COPY'. At this point, you cannot create the 1:1 copy of either a billing document or a delivery.
          2. Create a sales document that refers to an existing document with 'BAPISDORDER_GETDETAILEDLIST' and 'BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2'.
    <b>Other terms</b>
    BAPI_SALESDOCUMENT_COPY, BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE, BAPI_CUSTOMERINQUIRY_CHANGE, BAPI_CUSTOMERQUOTATION_CHANGE, BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT1, BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2, BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDATA, BAPISDORDER_GETDETAILEDLIST
    <b>Reason and Prerequisites</b>
As of yet, no method exists for creating a sales document that refers to an existing document.
    Solution
    For solution No. 1
          1. Create the documents using the BAPI_SALESDOCUMENT_COPY function module. However, this only permits a 1:1 copy without factoring out individual items.
          2. After you have created the document copy, you can use a change BAPI to edit this copy.
    For solution No. 2
          1. Collect the data for the reference document (for example a customer quotation) with the 'BAPISDORDER_GETDETAILEDLIST' function module. In the example code, focus exclusively on the partners, items, schedule lines and conditions.
          2. Prepare the Data. Execute the 'copying control' manually. This way, you decide which values are to be transferred.
          3. Create the sales document using the 'BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2' function module by transferring the prepared data.
          4. Finally, you must remove a COMMIT WORK so that the sales document can be written into the database.
An example of solution 2 is attached as a text file. You are allowed to select items and quantities for example, if you use input parameters. If there are no entries, then transfer 1:1 from the reference document. When you enter the 'condition type' parameter, you can determine whether conditions are copied or recalculated ('G' for transferring from the preceding document; 'B' or ' ' for re-determining, and 'C' for re-determining with transfer of the manual elements).</i>
    Sample : <a href="https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/012003146900000486112004E/BAPI_COPY_WITH_REF.txt">ZZ_MS_BAPI_COPY</a>

  • How settlement rule will be created for Sales order with cost object

    Dear Experts,
We are using product cost by sales order with valuated stock. In addition we are not using COPA
We also consume some materials at sales order level and at the end of month we want to do the result analysis and settlement for the same amount. In this case can any on explain how system will behave regarding settlement of sales order cost and what entries will get pass in the system.
In our case we have done below activities...
    we have created sales order,
All production order activities completed till final GRN including month end activities
    Material consumption against sales order
    Result analysis executed
At the time of sales order settlement, system throwing error (Sender doesn't have valid receiver, please create settlement rule for sender object)
Then i checked in sales order there sales order settlement rule not defined.
I guess this settlement rule need be generated by system automatically. If not, please let me know the process of it.

    HI kishore
the reason is that sale order always carry the revenue  and production order and production period carry the cost .
cost you can settle to the Material and even management want  to be settle the cost to material only in production order OR period
but in sales order  when u sell the product it carry the revenue not the cost and management want see and analysis based on profitability segment are profit center level .
    Prerequisites
If CO-PA is active, the system generates a settlement rule when you create the sales order. The settlement rule determines whether data is settled to other objects or other areas in Controlling. In accordance with this settlement rule, the relevant data is settled to CO-PA.
If CO-PA is not active, create a settlement rule. This settlement rule that you create manually normally contains a G/L account as a receiver (such as 399999). You can also settle costs and revenues or results analysis data to objects with revenue.
You can also settle the cost of sales calculated in results analysis to a fixed asset or a cost center. To do this, you must add to the allocation structure the results analysis cost elements under which the cost of sales is updated to the order.
The settlement rule includes a distribution rule for the sales order item. The distribution rule is made up of a settlement receiver, a settlement share, and a settlement type:
The settlement receiver (such as profitability segment or G/L account) specifies the object to which the actual costs and revenue of the sales order item are settled. The settlement receiver can be proposed through the settlement profile.
The settlement share defines the percentage or the equivalence numbers used to distribute the costs to the individual settlement receivers. The settlement share for sales order items is usually 100%. A settlement share of 100% is preset in the system.
The settlement type specifies full settlement of the sales order item. This ensures that all the data on the sales order is available for results analysis.
Settlement still takes place in each period. The revenues and the cost of sales are transferred to CO-PA by period, and the work in process and the reserves are transferred to FI.

  • Routing with WBS element

    Dear All
Can anybody explain me when we creat routing by CA01 their is field WBS element for what purpose we required this also if we maintain routing with WBS element where we get benefit of this in project system. please explain in details with an example of advantage of maintain routing with WBS element.
    Regards

    Hi Nivrutti,
If Project specific production scenario is happening for a same finished/semi-finished material with different routings (with different equipments setup depending on the location/project production requirement) you need to pickup WBS Routing only while creating production order for a WBSE (Make to order scenario). I guess we can keep the settings to pick up which type of routing is to be selected a material in material master with production version or in production order type)
In  case of project specific production scenario, WBSE will be assigned in Account assignment tab in production order and system will check the available routings for material/wbse combination.
    Hope this helps you !

  • Sales order with material & plan cost

    Hi,
A sales order with material and assign WBS can display the plan revenue which equal sales revenue. How can I make the material cost also be display as plan cost? This material cost should equal standard price of material master.

It is not possible to copy material cost from sales order to project. Please activate network cost planning, and assign the same material in the project structure, so system will take the material cost in plan cost.
