Sales Set-Urgent

Dear Gurus
can any 1 yjrow light on sales set..in ISretail..
as iam maintaining sales set<b> Dinning table</b> which consist of 2 components (eg-table 1 & chair 4) it is exploding in STO level but it is not exploding at VL10B level ..and do we need to maintain stock for the Dinning table Item also ..
kindly throw me some hint on it .. as it is a golive hinderance for me...

Hi Venkat,
Bom will be Explode at STO Level and you are saying that it is not exploding at Delviery Level as per your Thread.This is beause the Header level is explode at STO level and Items like Table1 and Chair 4 are relevant for Delivery and Dinnning Tabel is not Relevant for Delviery. Regarding this Please check your Header and Item Leve item categories.if you put the stock for Dinning Table also system will not accept or it will not explode at delivery level. and the same thing you can view at Billing Level.

How to view the list of sales set?urgent..

Hi Chris,
VA05N was created for the Sales Portal Role. It is different from VA05 and is therefore not a kind of successor of VA05. Because of this it is not planned to put it in the menu. And the Transaktion is released for 5.0 and the following Releases.
Unfortunately it is not possible to run VA05 in background due to the way the program runs. This is not available in the standard SAP system.
There is a possibility to run VA05 as a background job. This is a system modification that you can review in Note 397745.

Problem with Sales Set in ECC 6.0

Hai Guys,
I am having a problem on having a Sales Set. We have two company codes.
I am creating the sales set by the following steps.
1. Create an article, (type: Sales set instead of single article) and in the Basic Data, click the components button, in the subsequent screen entered the component articles and the qty.
2. After listing that Sales set article to the desired sites, I am creating the sales set article using the movement type 317 in tcode mb1b.
3. In my inventory, the component's stocks are reduced and the stock of the Sales set article is increased.
4. Once the Sales is made for the Sales set article, and PGI is done, the system reduces the stock of the Sales stock and no changes is made to the remaining component article stocks.
Here is where I encounter the issue.
In one of the company code, this is working fine.
But in the another company code's sites, when I do the PGI for Sales Set article, the stock of the Sales Set remains the same but the component articles' stocks are reducing.
I am startled to find the unusual behavior. Does it has anything to do with the site profile or any other MM customizations?
Had anybody come across this kind of issues previously? Can anybody help me in this aspect?

Hello Maheshwaran,
Did you check the standard sales set explosion configuration in Logistics-General -> Material Master -> Retail-Specific Settings -> Settings for Structured Materials -> Structured Article in Logistics Process? Maybe in here, for the other company code's plants, the settings are maintained differently.

Sales set in Retail and BOM explosion in sales order

Greetings.
I configured a sales set that contains variants of generic articles and also unique articles as follows:
Sales set: distinct code, LUMF - item category group, gets TAQ item categ in SO; it contains:
- Var 1 of article X, distinct code, NORM, gets TAE in SO and mat. nr. and HL item is greyed out in SO
- Var 1 of article Y, distinct code, NORM, gets TAE in SO and mat. nr. and HL item is greyed out in SO
- unique article Z, distinct code, NORM, gets TAE in SO and mat. nr. and HL item are NOT greyed out in SO
as a result changing Z with whatever different article is possible.
Also the individual quantities for the components are editable: I was expecting to be able to modify ONLY the set's quantity and see the components multiply accordingly but iti is not the case.

My question is: what settings are needed to have inactive/grayed out quantity, material number and HL item for the components of the sales set and why do I get a different behavior between a unique material compared with a variant ?

Thank you for your patience.
The link would have revealed that there is no visible difference between SO's made with ERLA and LUMF header material , in both the user can modify quantities, item category, plant for ALL subitems and measurment unit plus Higher Level Item ONLY for unique items(why? that was my secondary question).
Nevertheless I tried to follow your steps and forth is what I found:
- working in Retail I didn't use CS01 for creating the BOM; instead I defined the structure(mat. codes and quantities) directly in header material (sales set - 10 material category - in my case). I could however open with CS02 the right BOM for my sales set but only if I don't mention the plant.
- further I used CS01 and added the delivering plant this time-> no result, the subitems can still be modified as described above...
I must add that I tried to use for sales set both KMAT and TRGO articles...and it happens the same.

After creating the BOM, the SD people could create the Sales order. or use the sales BOM also.(I think tr.code:CS61)

Sales set with movement type 317

Hello,
sales set level - A, component level A1 and A2. When we do the goods issue, the movement type of A is 999 (customized) and movement type of A1 and A2 is 317. since the G/L account of components should same as 999. Any user exist fulfill this requirement? Thanks

HOW TO USE SALES SET ARTICLE FOR MUTATION PROCESS

I am working on IS-RETAIL solution.
I have a new process to BE mapPED in SAP which is explained below.
Say there Are 2 diferent articles :
Article_x = pepsi carton of 25 bottles 200 ML EACH
Article_y = single pepsi bottle 200 ML
Article_y will never be brought from external vendor. Only article_x will be brought from external vendor.
Article_y can be sold via POS which will hve some price maintained with it. No inventory to be maintained
for article_y. When we sell article_y, inventory of article_x should be reduced in proportion.
To sell article_y carton of article_x will be broken.
I tried to create sales set article [article_y] but it does not allow me to have component qty in fraction. Even i tried to create a prepack article which also does not take component qty in fraction.
Can any body help me... how can i manage this scenario in SAP....

As a business process Sales Sets are created such that the purchase of articles X can be done and inventory can be maintained in either article X or article Y and Sales of Y can be done.
Since Y is sold through POS, I presume that the negative inventory would be maintained. So this would create negative inventory of Y in the system. To nullify the negative inventory you would now require to convert the Article X to Article Y by breaking the sales set through movement type 319

one of our retail company,
we combined few articles and selling as SALES SET
Our warehouse site suppose 8061 when i initialise stocks these sales articles stocks are not getting
initailised.those articles Qty and value details i cannot see after initialization.

Article comprising several components structured as a bill of material / article called as Structured Articles, namely; Sets, Prepacks and Display.
Sets: Sets are usually handled in one of the following ways:
(a) As sales sets: The components are packaged together and can often also be sold individually.
Example: Toothpast with Tooth Brush
(b) As price sets: Price sets are formed only by the assignment of a joint sales price. This price is normally lower than the total sales price of each of the components which can always also be sold individually. The components are not packaged together.
Example: Hamper / Three pieces of Soaps / Biscut Packet
Display:Group of single articles or variants of one or more generic articles that is purchased as a separate article and as such has an article number, a purchase price, and purchase price conditions. The components are grouped together by the manufacturer or vendor.
In the wholesale trade, displays are purchased and sold, whereas in the retail trade, only the components are sold. For this reason, stock is managed at display level at the distribution center, and at component level at the store.
Example: Candy bars and Pantyhose displays
Prepacks: Group of variants of one or more generic articles that is purchased as a separate article and as such has an article number, a purchase price, and purchase price conditions. Unlike a display, the components must belong to the same merchandise category as the prepack itself. They can be grouped together by the retailer as well as by the manufacturer or vendor.

General sales area -urgent

Hi folks,
In Tc. OVAZ, when i assigning a sales doc. type to a newly created sales area , it s showing error as :define Sales area first as a general sales area.'
How to define this sales area as a common sales area.
I have checked VOR1 and VOR2. it seems it is ok.
why this error is coming..
please suggest something for this as it is urgent.

Hi,
1 you have to do following assignment then only you can assign your document type.
Please do the following setting 1.
Combine sales organizations-->OVAO
Combine distribution channels-->OVAM
Combine divisions-->OVAN
Now assign your order type to type sales are in
IMGà Sales and distributionà Sales Documents à Sales Document Header à Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types àAssign sales order types permitted for sales areas

Delivery & Billing Block at Item level in Sales Order ( Urgent)

HI All,
I am getting delivery & Billing block at item level when I create an order with config material.
And I am unable to remove the blocks manually since they appear in display mode even in change mode of sales order.
but I could see a biiling document for this order in document flow with 0 value.
Note:
1. The item does not have any reason for rejection
2. Ther is no block set at schedule line category too.
Please give me your valid suggestion as soon as possible since it is production issue.

I m PP Consultant, I want to know How Checking rule is populated whilr creating Sales Order.
e.g - I am creating sales order for the MTS material then availability checking rule A must be come. & same for MTO I think AE should come.

Availibility checking rule populates from the availibilty maitined in your material master.
i.e 01 Daily requirements
     02 Individual requirements
If you go to transaction OVZ9
you will see the assignment of checking rule against 01 & 02.
e.g 01 A SD order
      01 B SD Delivery
      01 AE Make to order Stock
I Think This will clear your doubt.

Setting urgent window hint from C ncurses program

Hi,
I am trying to edit tmsnc to give the urgent window hint when I receive a message. I am using dwm, and I noticed XChat highlights the tag when I get mentioned. The setting for this is 'blink taskbar'.
I' ve been looking through the XChat source, but it's 1.4 megabytes of code, I just can't seem to find it.
Does anyone here know how to replicate this behaviour from a c ncurses program?

I think ncurses programs need to emit a 'beep' (the '\a' character?) which, if your settings are correct, will cause your terminal application to get the urgent window hint.
