Same material with diff. Production scheduler profiles

Hi,
I am working on PP-PI, where the same material is being manufactured using separate order types.
To be  more specific, one order type for the  regular manufacturing & another  with Re-work order type. The  requirement is  such that the  Order type  dependent parameters & production scheduler profile are different in  both the cases. Since my master  has the prod. scheduler for  regular manufacturing on the material master, even if i select the  Re-work order type the system is considering the Settings of the  regular manufacturing order.
I need to keep the production scheduler profile of the regular manufacturing order as a default in the material
master due to various  reasons. At the same  time system should consider the  settings for Re-work order only when the specific order type is  manually selected during order creation.
Appropriate solution would be of great  help, thanks in advance

Hi,
Try using user exit. change the production scheduler profile during order save  based on  the order type.
check with your technical team.
hope this helps.

  • Unit Conversion issue for same material with Diff KPI

    Hi,
i have a report with multiple key figures which form a structure.
Unit conversion for this report and all the key figures are defined at report level.
Below are the settings in place
Source currency:    Data record from target
Target Currency:    From variable ( Input variable in BeX report)
Conversion  factor: Dyanamic Determination of conversion factor
Using Reference Infobject if available otherwise use T006
                                   Reference Infobject: 0Material
Issue: For 1 Key figure conversion to TO is happening, however for other Key figure conversion is not happening for the same material.
Note: Conversion to TO is defined in BEX settings for Info object 0material and stored in DSO UOM0MATE.
Why for same material some key figures convert to target unit correctly and not the others?
See the attached screenshot. Sales Quantity is convertin to "TO" while Volume third party shows figue in"ERR" for same material.
    Thanks
    Nayab

    Hi,
Following reasons cause to your issue,
    1. Unit Conversion is not maintained for that particular material  in source system Material itself, so that  conversion data data may not updated in DSO (UOM0MATE).
    2. For particular transnational data record key figure value don't have any base unit or units measures, that case also  you may get that error.
Request check the transnational data in your InfoProvider and 0Material Master data and DSO data (UOM0MATE) . Correct the data based on that.
Check the Master data test in RSRV for 0Material, if any SID generations was missed or not.
I hope this can be help to find the cause of error , based on that you can resolve problem.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Production scheduling profile

    Dear Experts,
Can i have multiple scheduling profile ?
Issue is that i have defined Production scheduler A and production scheduling profile A1 in material master which refer to order type A2
Now i want to create production order of same material with order type B2 with Scheduling profle B1 how can i do that without changing the master data in matrial master.
I tried to give order type B2 in Co01 but it is refering Sch. Profile A1 only.
Please help me to solve the issue.
    Amit

    Hi,
I am unable to figure out from your query what you exactly need.
But for a given material even though you have a prod. sched. profile maintained with a certain order type, you can create an order with different order type.
If you're converting planned order to prod. order via co40 or co41, then system will propose the order type from the prod. sched. profile, this can be overwritten.
However if you're manually creating via co01, then you can choose the order type you want, system will not prevent you from doing so, unless there is some enhancement in-place.
So hope the above clarifies, if it does not, then please explain with an example, it would be better.
    Regards,
    Vivek

  • Production scheduling profile for production order type 10 does not exist – SAP Message No.10085

When i tried to make confirmation for Production Order through CO15 transaction , i receive the following error message “ Production scheduling profile for production order type 10 does not exist – SAP Message No.10085 “
In Work Scheduling view, Production Scheduling Profile is maintained as per OPKP only.
How to check whether production scheduling profile is maintained for relevant order type 10.
To do this , i went to OPKP & KOT2_OPA transactions but i don’t know how to check. I guide me through with a screen shot.
Also, pls explain about  “Order Type 10” and how it is linked with material and order execution.
Looking for a detailed explanation with screen shots , since i am new to SAP.
    Thanks With Regards,
    Dinesh Kumar V.

    Hello Dinesh,
Please check the order type dependent parameter in OPL8 here you will get the Substitute Scheduler
Then go to OPCH and check valid production scheduling profile assign here as per OPKP to your production scheduler for your plant.
Production order have Order category as 10  Process Order  40 in standard SAP you can check this in OPJH.

  • Same  Material with different itemcatagory groups

We have 3rd party manufacturers that make product for company and sometimes they send the finished product back to company and other times they will drop ship it to one of our customers.
this scenario we need to have the same material with different itemcatagory groups
i tried to create same material with different storage locations, but it's possible but the thing is when i change the item catagory group for the material , the same is applicable for 2nd same material, my requirement is i need 2 different itemcatagory for the same material,  hope u understand my requirement
i will be expecting your possible replys.
    Thanks & Regards
    Venkat.Dhanemkula

    Hi Venkat..
Please explain it more clear manner..
With whatever i have understand, i think you scenerio is manual 3rd party order processing.
In that case the material that you normally deliver yourself but occasionally need to order from a third-party vendor, you can overwrite the item category during sales order processing.
Keep only one material and specify the item category group NORM in the material master.
If, as an exception, you use a third-party material, change the entry TAN to TAS in the ItCa field when processing the sales document. The item is then processed as third-party item.
    hope it helps you.
    Regards

  • Production scheduler & profile configuration

    Dear SAPper,
When i create production order, the production scheduler is automatically flled (ex.101) and then
the production scheduler profiles is automaticalled filled too.
I don;t maintain production scheduler & production scheduler profile in work scheduling in material master?
where did system pic thatt value??
    Best regards,
    Freddy Ha

    Hi,
    For your order type,
Please check if in OPL8 "Assignment" area - "substitute scheduler" field is defined.
This scheduler is picked up as default if not defined in material master.
If a PSP is attached to this defualt scheduler in OPJ9, then that will also be picked up in the order.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Ashok

  • Difference mpr controller and production scheduling profile (exact)

    hi gurus
wht is difference between mrp contoller and production scheduling profile. and which will come first at the time of planning.
    thanks in adavance
    avinash.pegarlawar

    Hi,
    MRP controller
MRP Controller is the person responsible for a group of materials in MRP in a plant or company.
Material that takes part in material requirements planning must be assigned to an MRP controller.
    Production scheduler
Scheduler responsible for a material in production activity control.
    Example
The production scheduler determines how capacity requirements are calculated for a material during a scheduling run.
MRP Controller comes into Planning first which you need to assign in MRP-1 View in material master while production scheduler you need to assign iin Work Scheduling View in Material Master.
Hope this helps clearing your doutb.
    Revert if still any query.
    Regards,
    Tejas

  • Printing setting in Production Scheduling Profile

    Hello Guys,
In Production Scheduling Profile (OPKP) there is a config setting "On Release" Execute Printing.
    I used this setting.
But I could not print the production again.
I want to re-print the production order.
How do I enable re-printing the production order?
    Thanks
    George King

    Hi George,
the setting simply define that the production order is printed when the order is released. This setting should not have any effect to reprint.
Did you get any error? Are you able to print when you push the print button manually?
Settings in OPK8 are correct ?
    Regards,
    Sabine

  • Same material with Different qualities

    Dear Experts,
Please give me the solution for mentioned issue ....
I have to maintain the same material which has different qualities (grades) and according to these qualities, the material rate is different. i have near about 50 different qualities for the same material and 50 different rates.
My every vendor is supplying this material for 50 different qualities and rates. So in this case to maintain the individual material prices is big challenge.
If i will maintain Info records, i have to maintain 200000 info record. and also there is possibility of price change for every three months.

  • MF60 scenario - same material with different orders

    Hello,
I am using MF60 to transfer the stock from raw material location to Production location. I transfers the goods based on each production order.
Now the scenario is: I have two tins of paint each weight 20 kg.
My current order needs  8 kg of paint and it would take 3 days to finish the order(on Machine A). It means rest of the 12kg would be available after 3days.
Now I am creating 2nd order(on Machine B) of smaller qty and that order requires 2 kg of the same paint. I have to use the 2nd tin of paint. Now when I try to use MF60, system does not propose me qty (as 12 kg paint is already available in Production location but canu2019t be used as it is on machine A).
So please suggest me, how I can transfer the material to production location using MF60. I donot want to use the MB1B.
    kind regards,
    JPS

    Hello Mangalraj.S,
I have checked with workcenter also (removing the selection date) and set the 'all requirements' in global setting.
But it does not showed the particular components (against the order in question) but does showing those other which needs higer quanties
Can you please explain more in detail regarding your requirement?-- The requirement is that If I have two tins of paint (20kg each), if first order require needs 8kg (but rest of the 12kg won't be available physically), Now in the 2nd order which needs 5kg. System does not propose the requirement in MF60 (I believe because of there is 12 kg already available in prod location on the system)
Also please execute the pull list by giving the work center as the input and do not specify any date in the selection horizon for
requirements.Include the check for include all requirements under global settings.---- I did opt the same settings but it is not propsing 2nd order requirements
In the second tab production/process orders, just give the input as the work center and check for the same.---- In the 2nd tab I did try with workcenter but..... (I am not a PP expert, this is the first time I am working on PP, So I have created the routing without workcenter and assings the workcenter in prod order only)

  • Same Material with Different G/L Account

    Hi Everybody,
I have  a material X is for HALB .I want use X is for Stock Material and as well as  Special Procurement Q i.e Project stock. Those stock should be posted to different G/L account. Is it possible can anyone put me on this.

    Hi,
    1.
Generally, split valuation is to valuate the same material differently based on various criteria (external/internal procurement, country of origin, etc)
    http://www.sap-img.com/mm025.htm
    http://www.sap123.com/showthread.php?t=29
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/a5/63314d43a211d189410000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
    2.
However, (independently form the topic of split valuation), you can maintain separate valuation class for project stock. Check Accounting1 view of material master and you will find a separate field for this purpose (MBEW-QKLAS, 'Proj. stk. val. class')
