Sample scenarios using JMS Adapters

Hi Experts,
Can anyone send me sample step by step scenarios using JMS adapters e.g one scenario using JMS in the sender side and another scenario using JMS in the receiver side.
Thanks
Ayan

Most of the job is to be done in the Channel Adapter module for content conversion.
There's much more documentation about the File Content Conversion but most of it apply to JMS.
Can you be more specific in what you're looking for?

  • Problem with Send using JMS Adapter with Websphere MQ

    Hi,
We have two scenarios using JMS Adapter with MQ:
    1. File->PI->MQ
This works fine and drop the file in MQ correctly.
    2. MQ->PI->File
This gives an error reading from the queue: (see highlighted in the log below). It correctly connects to the queue name. But it fails with the message "Could not begin a AF transaction".
Our PI version is 7.0 SP 13
    Websphere MQ Version 6.0.

  • Can i use JMS in this scenario

    Hi all,
I have a doubt .I just want to know wether i can use JMS in this situation.
By the end of processing in our module, we will have a ServiceRequest. Now we
have to pass that ServiceRequest related information to other module which
              is residing on another machine.
So i was thinking of this
1)our module end point is a servlet.
2)there i construct the xml string with all the info related to
              ServiceRequest.
3)after that i create a text message and post it to JMS queue on another
              server(module)
4)Then there is an MDB which recieves the request using onMessage method
and then that ServiceRequest related changes r made in the db.
Is JMS an ideal solution in this scenario.
I was also just thinking,JMS is for asynchronous communication.
Now don't u think that i can achieve this kind of asynchronous communication
by sending(posting using HttpURlConnection) the xml messaage from servlet1
in server 1 to servlet 2 in other module(server2) and have the jdbc code to
save the data related to ServiceRequest in the servlet in the other
module. That way also i acheive kind of asynchronous communication(i.e am not
getting any response back). Why shud i use JMS then.
So i just want to know is this the right scenario for going for JMS or we r
              just complicating things.
              Thnx in Advance
              Veena.

JMS is ideal for asynchronous behaviour, why try to build your own
asynchornous behaviour. If you want to have two processes just for async
behavior, u have to take into account many other issues, like one process
going down. How would you scale your application.
Why can't ur first servlet write directly to the database?

  • Scenarios using Sender JMS adapter and Reciver JMS adapter

    Hi All,
I am not able to find god step by step blog on senderJMS adapter and Receiver JMS adapter.
also please explain when we use JMS.What does a messng system means?please provide some examples.
    Thanks and regards

    Hi  Goyal,
    Messaging System :
Messaging system allows separate, uncoupled applications to reliably communicate asynchronously. The messaging system architecture generally replaces the client/server model with a peer-to-peer relationship between individual components, where each peer can send and receive messages to and from other peers.
Go thru this you will get better idea :
    http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Networking/messaging/
JMS adapter (Java Message Service) enables you to connect messaging systems to the Integration Engine or the PCK.
    regards

  • Urgent: Calling ABAP Program using JMS

    Hi,
I have a scenario where legacy system pass some messages to ABAP Program and this program can handle one message at a time (written in that way).
Now the receiver communication channel is configured to access J2SE adapter. This J2SE adapter stores the message on R/3 system and triggers the ABAP program located in R/3 system.
Now when multiple messages are coming at a time in SAP-XI and processed successfully and handover to J2SE adapter. But J2SE adapter triggers the ABAP program for all messages. And here is the problem. ABAP program is not supporting multi - threading.
my idea is to use JMS adapter...can you guys suggest me how to achieve result and how to configure JMS or any other adapter to call ABAP Program so that only one message will pass to ABAP program at a time.
    Regards,
    Gourav Khare

    Hi,
First find out where your ABAP program the data written. You need to write it into and spool then only you can see it.
Transaction SP01, you can use the FM 'GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS' in your abap program to write to spool.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • SAP PI 7 Sample Scenarios

When I look through the forum, I see a lot of questions about XI sample scenarios.
However, all the results are for SAP XI. Is there any or many sample scenarios for PI 7?
The methodology is the same, but there are a few differences procedurally. I
am looking for end to end scenarios if there are any.
    Thanks for anyones help,

  • How  to Set JMS property and Read JMS property in BPEL using JMS adapter

Does any one know how to set or read more than one JMS property in BPEL using JMS adapter. My queue server is Oracle JMS server.
Any help and sample is well appreciated

    Hi Van
I have noted that only the attribute "type" is missing. It seems that when you create a "string" property, the attribute "type" is droped from the XML. If you use another type (as "integer" or "double") it stays there.
If you try to read your properties, except for the "type" attribute, you should be successful, as I am. If you need, please tell me your email, I can send you my code.

  • Async/Sync Communication using JMS adapter without BPM

    Hello ,
Pls suggest how Async/Sync Communication using JMS adapter without BPM .
In my scenario I have JMS Sender and then RFC/JDBC as Sync and then again JMS receiver
    Pls explain  the concept of
JMSMessageID and JMSCorrelationID  and how to use it by an example.
    Regards

    Hi,
If you have selected JMSMessageID, JMSCorrelationID, or JMSProperty and entered a JMS message ID in these fields, you should see the Remove 'ID:' Marker from JMSMessageIDindicator. Set the indicator.
This is necessary because the JMS specification stipulates that each JMS message ID starts with 'ID'. However, this conflicts with ISO-11578.
    - JMSMessageID (Uniqueness Is JMS-Provider-Dependent)
(String) The unique message ID. Note that this is not a required field and can be null. Since the JMS provider might not use your provided message ID, the Connector sets a special property called $jms.messageid after sending a message. This is to insure that the message ID always is available to the user. To retrieve this value use conn.getProperty("$jms.messageid") in your After Add hook.
    - JMSCorrelationID (Uniqueness Is JMS-Sender-Dependent)
(String) This header is set by the application for use by other applications.
    Hope this will help you.
    Regards
    Aashish Sinha
