Samsung ML-1210 Foomatic-gdi Print Area Error
I upgraded to Snow Leopard then found I needed to reinstall the printer, I used the 3 installers here:

The problem I'm having is that although all the page sizes look correct, what gets printed out is off-set from where it should be. Any help would be much appreciated.
The cups web interface shown me this:

Is this a margin issue? Do I need to edit the PPD?

THE SOLUTION WAS TO:
Install Foomatic-RIP
released January 30, 2008
NOT:
Foomatic-RIP 4.0.2.211 - released June 30, 2009
This earlier version resolved the Margin printing problems
The older version was installed "over" the new version without problems.

Samsung ML-1210 foomatic+gdi - no support for envelope printing?
I've installed the Open Source foomatic+gdi print drivers for my Samsung ML-1210 laser printer on my two Macs running Panther (10.3.9). Printing ordinary pages works fine, but the supplied PPD doesn't have any support for envelopes or the fact that the envelope feeder is centered on the print drum. Anyone know of a better PPD or other solution which correctly prints envelopes?

I don't have this printer and am not familiar with the gdi drivers. Were there PPDs that came with the download or built from compiling the drivers? In looking at the foomatic generated PPD, I do see that there is a definition for envelopes. For example, I do see the imageable area for a #10 envelope:
*ImageableArea Env10/Envelope #10: "0 0 297 684"
Do you find lack of support for envelopes in all applications or just certain ones? Are you selecting the envelope in Page Setup from the File menu?
I really don't pretend to have any firm answers here; just a line of things to look at when troubleshooting.

Can anyone please suggest me how to get my Samsung ML-1210 printer to work with OS X 10.4.5 on the Intel iMac? I downloaded the PPD file, installed it via the adde printer in System Preferences, I can print to it but nothing get printed...

Artemiy.i was able to get this to work on my imac intel with a samsung ml-1710.
check out http://www.linuxprinting.org/macosx/samsung-gdi/
download and install BOTH of those files.
then you should be able to add your printer using the print center. the driver should be listed as Samsung ML-1210 Foomatic+GDI.

Error The PC and the printer are connected to different networks

I'm trying to set up my C4580 on my laptop, but I'm getting the following error after the diagnostic test:
The PC and the printer are connected to different networks(237DB2A87D and 66616B65). They must be connected to the same network. This can happen when you use the manufacturer's default network name (SSID) and another nearby network is using the same name.
My setup is a Linksys router WRT546, my laptop is conntected wireless to the router. I have two other desktop computers that are directly connected to the router. Both the desktops are able to connect wireless to the printer. My router SSID name is 'Blair Office' with WPA security.
I get a internet connect fine with the laptop, but can't get the new printer to setup.
I saw another post that talked about 'Print the C45** Network Configuration Page', but not sure how to do this

DianeThis reply may be late for this user, but it might be helpful for any current users.
I managed to change the modem's IP address to match that of the printer. In my case the printer worked fine wirelessly until I moved to a new place and installed a new modem. Here is what I did to solve the problem:
1. At the printer, click on the wireless button, wireless settings, print network configuration page. This will print a page with the printer's IP address (in my case: 192.168.0.13)
2. I accessed my modem via the internet browser, typing 192.168.1.1 (this is one of the default addresses (192.168.0.1 is also common). Default user and password is admin (usually). There I changed the modem's IP address to 192.168.0.1 and the range to start at 192.168.0.13 (my printer's IP address).
3. I saved the settings (the modem will reboot and you will be offline, it may take some 20 seconds before the modem is visible again).
4. Reconnect to the modem and check if internet is still working. Then try to install the printer again.
This worked for me after I read several other postings.

I don't believe that Samsung ever made a driver for this model that worked in intel. Unfortunately, I think your printer is just too old. You can read here

Dunning letter print output error
Dunning Letter Generate and Custom Dunning Letter Print is not giving an output.
The message is: "The file cannot be opened because it has no pages."
Does anyone knows what might be the reason? and how to make Dunning letter work again..this is something urgent because this error is right now in the production and the users are really facing problems without the Dunning Reports

My question when we run Dunning Letter from which level does oracle picks up the language??
Is it from Address level of the customer??
We have different environments which are clones of production. when I tried to run Dunning Letter in DEV environment which is used for building and testing which was a recent clone of production, it worked for me...not able to understand why it is not working in production??

Are you using <b>crystal wave</b> a third party add or the crystal report add on provided by SAP.
1.Are all your user facing same issue ?
2.Did it happen to only item or it is happening to all ?
So far looks to me ,some fields have been deleted from template. It might be the cause .
Hard to troubleshoot if it is coming from addon ...
Well try restoring a default template (if you have ) or some other layout to test the issue.

Hello, We have multiple Server 2003 Print server and are working on testing a Server 2012 print server. We have run into an issue where a PRINTER (type 4, normal) works with our Windows 7 32 bit clients, Windows 8.1 64 bit clients and the
2012 R2 server, but when trying to install to a windows 7 64 bit clients using \\SERVER\PRINTER we are getting the above message. (The printer is not offered currently in the directory).
I have been scouring the Google and Bing and have yet to find a satisfactory description that matches this issue. Nor have I found other information that resolve this issue. Like, blaming this on the spooler or DLL fixes or Reg hacks (applied
on the client side).
Specifically, we have used the native 2012 R2 drivers "Ricoh Class Driver", "HP LaserJet 4240 PCL6 Class Driver" and "Xerox Phaser 6120 Class Driver"
If I use a Type 3 driver from Xerox I am able to print from the Windows 7 64 bit client to the print device, but I was hoping to get all of my clients onto 1 driver. I understand that I might be able to use some sort of WMI filtering in our GPO
deployments for the Windows 7 64 bit clients when we go live but this sort of <gs class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="55af8faf-887d-4ea5-9032-7c14b199df0f" id="db4a1e65-db1b-4c94-bd84-20ffc96288ce">henky</gs>.

Information of Print Area is missing in VB6 Addin of version Excel 2007 and Excel 2010

I have a problem with my old VB 6 COM Addin. My document has Print Area, but when I use my addin to open this document. The information of print area is lost.
This problem takes place only in the following situations.
If the PrintArea is set in Excel 2007 and 2010, it will be missing. But in Excel 2003 without problem.
From the code, the ".ActiveSheet.PageSetup.printArea" is always empty, although when the print area is configurate in Excel 2007 and 2010
What is the possible reason of this problem?

- Describe the 3rd party program you open the workbook in if not Excel"
- What do you mean by "click and Excel document", what do you click and where is the document
- Why click on an Excel document (workbook, worksheet something else?) to get a 3rd party app to automate Excel, then does some other workbook load?
It's very confusing!
Did you try the code in VBA in the instance of the workbook whose sheet you want to return the Print Area

Did you set a reference to XL-9 in the test app with my code then transfer to a different system with 2007?
However, a ref to xl-9 shouldn't be a problem if the code compiled with that ref. If the app/dll is transferred to a different system it will pick up the Excel GUID in that system, which is exactly the same for all versions since Excel97. The only time it
would be an issue is if code compiled with a new object model is not supported when used with an older Excel object model.
The fact my code appears to work without error returning the message "Print Area not defined" suggests it is referring to a different workbook, ie one in which the Print-Area has not been defined. Double check which workbook it is referring to,

This should confirm the workbook name, activesheet name and value in A1 (before running maybe add the current time in A1 with ctrl-shift-; in the same workbook as the print-area has been defined)

However, when I opened the door they moved to the left and out of sight; I didn't see a broken pipe. When I closed the door, they moved back to the right. Did this several times, installed a new black cartridge because mine was low, got a message to align printer, which I did. Printer printed the alignment sheet, which I then scanned in and learned alignment was OK. Printer still did not print although error message had disappeared. Then I followed all of the steps in HP's troubleshooting support (all of which I'd done on my own before) Got a message Printer Ready, but printer still doesn't print. I tried some other files too, in case that one was corrupted in some way.
I just tried again - with a new file.No success. New error message: Unable to connect with printer; will try in 30 seconds. All lights on the printer are fine, including the wireless light.

I installed a new black cartridge in my HP PSC 1410 All-in-One. It printed a sheet to align the cartridges, but it won't scan, and I can't find HP Utilities or Scan or Toolbox on my MAC.
I tried taking one cartridge out, then the other. That did not help. I also tried turning everything off, no luck. The only thing that happened was the printer printed another aligning sheet.
Any suggestions??

Are you still receiving "Check Print Cartridges" error?
Is this alignment sheet missing colors? If not, then please follow these steps:
1) Remove all ink cartridges from the printer, then close the door
2) Remove the power cord from the printer (Do not press the power button)
3) Wait 60 seconds or more, then plug the power cord back in
4) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges
5) Try to print another alignment page

IDVD5 and Power Calibration Area Error
In an effort to burn a Maxell DVD-R from iDVD, I receive the following error message just as the burn process completes:
The recording device reported the media error: Power calibration area error. (0x73, 0x03.)
1) I visited the Apple Store and the genius ordered and installed a new dvd burner
2) The new burner has the exact same error
3) I've search around the internet and realize that I'm not alone. Aparently many have seen iDVD show this error with one unusual means to fix the error. One fix was to burn the image to an external drive and then use the disk utility to burn the dvd. Apparently the issues seemed to be iDVD.
4) I've burned many DVDs with the same project to the same brand of DVD-R in the exact same manor that I tried here.
5) I have iDVD 5.0.1, a new Powerbook 15", and OS X 10.4.2.I still have the same problem with iDVD 5, Toast 7 Platinum, DVDSP, and even recording my project into a .img file and using Disk Utility, so I don't think the problem is related to a particular app, but to Mac OS X, and not even a hardware or media problem as I've previously used this brand to burn like 50 DVDs without problems (Verbatim DVD-R) and in two days I've had like 15 coasters with this project with both Verbatim and Samsung DVD-Rs.

Print spooler error 0x800706b9
I have a Microsoft Windows 8.1 and an HP Desktop 2512. My computer no longer recognizes my printer. I keep receiveing a print spooler error 0x800706b9 I have tried the net start spooler command but that has been unsuccessful. What next? Please help!

I understand that you are no longer able to print from your Windows 8.1 computer to your HP Deskjet 2512 All-in-One Printer as your computer is reporting a 'Print Spooler Error: 0x800706b9'. I would like to assist you today with resolving this Print Spooler error. Now, just so you are aware, the Print Spooler is a feature of your Operating System. It is built into your Windows computer. Essentially, it is the print system built into your computer. Printers rely on the Print Spooler to be functioning in order to print. The Spooler is not specific to HP. Therefore, I will be able to offer you some standard computer troubleshooting steps. However, should the issue persist you may need to speak with Microsoft Support or the manufacturer of your computer to resolve this Operating System issue. With that being said, can I please have you follow the steps below to resolve this issue. Step 1: Check Print Spooler: Open your Start screen by selecting the Windows button on the bottom left hand side of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key on the bottom left of your keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl buttonIn the Start screen type RunClick on Run to launch the Run dialogue boxIn the Run box type services.msc and select OKWhen the Services window opens scroll down until you see Print SpoolerClick on Print Spooler once just to highlight itIf you see Start in the top left hand corner than that indicates that your Print Spooler is in fact Stopped (not good). But we will leave this for now.If you see Stop or Restart in the top left hand corner than this indicates that your Print Spooler is actually Started. I want to print an error message when some conditions take place so I don't want to allow a save procedure in that case ( sy-ucomm = 'UPD') but when the conditions are checked and all are fullfilled and the user presses the save button, the message is not printed and the program returns to control program and it saves the data.

have you created any message that you want to display after user press the save button.
if yes than use call that message type after you pressing the save button,
if not than create the message type as
MESSAGE MESSAGENAME.
and call that particular message type after the save button you ll get the approprite message.
