SAP Retail Size Change Procedure

There is a business need to change size scale.  A style can originally be created with size scale of S,M,L, but then changed to 2,4,6,8.
Currently, I have been archiving the original articles and reload the articles with the new size scale.  Questions:
1. Is there a simple way to change the internal characteristics than to archive?
2. If archiving is the correct way, please confirm if the following steps are the correct way to archive:
  a. If PO exist, deletion the PO.  Do I need to archive PO?
  b. If info record exist, delete info record.
  c. WSP6 to discontinue the listing.
  d. WRF_DIS_SEL to discontinue the sites, vendor, and client of the generic and variants.
  e. SE38 - run programs to delete and archive.
3. How do I archive info record? How do I archive purchasing and sales pricing created through MEK1 and VK11 respectively?
Appreciate any help given.
Thank you.

  • Approval Procedure - SAP loses the changes to the document

    Good morning to all.
    I need an explanation regarding the approval procedures.
    We have recently upgraded the system from version 2007 SP01 PL10 to version 8.81 PL10.
    We have a approval procedure whit 2 level:
    User A => Create the document
    User B => First level approval.
    If User B approve the document then
    User C => Final level approval
    I noticed that in the previous version, during the phase of approvals, was created a single record in the table ODRF. This record was updated with various changes made by users during the approval phase. The changes made during the approval phase regarding UDF
    Now, with the new version, I find myself with the table ODRF registering a record for each change made to the document that is pending approval.
    So, if User B open the document pending approval, saves it as a draft, then edit some UDF and still saves as a draft, in ODRF table we have 2 line (the first for the first save, the second for the UDF edited and so on...)
    But, when you invoke the document itself to approve or modify it, it always loads the first record from the table ODRF, thus losing all the changes.
    Do you have news about this situation? Are there solutions?
    Sorry for my english...

    Hi GORDON.
    Thank for your reply
    After talking with our partners, I confirm that version 8.81 is not possible to make changes to the UDF fields in a document during the approval phase.
    More precisely, the changes can be made, the document can be saved as a draft during the approval procedure, but at the time of approval, the changes are not shown.
    This is because, in the drafts table (ODRF), unlike what happened in the 2007 SP01 PL10 and even in version 8.80, the changes are saved in other records (line) with other draft number ID respect to the original record, and therefore no longer recoverable and / or visible .
    And, I do not understand why, there is no trace in any official document about SAP to that change.
    Sono incazzato....

  • IDOC message type for "Site" in SAP Retail module?

    Hi All,
    We have the need to transfer master data (through master data change pointers) of Retail Sites within the SAP Retail module (transaction:  WB01, WB02).  Does anyone know if there's an IDOC message/type already associated with this?  Thanks in advance for your help!
    Cheers,
    Matt

    Hi,
    please read SAP notes 892103 and 551035.
    The correct IDOC type should be FIDCC1 / FIDCC2.

  • Prepack vs Display in SAP retail

    Hi guys,
    I am still struggling to understand the difference between prepack and Display in SAP retail.
    Anyone has a good understanding of that?
    Cheers
    Julien

    Hi
    Prepack:
    Variant from different generic articles belongs to same merchandise category grouped together as component and created with article category 11.
    Prepacks are used in Fashion retail where merchant wants to order specific variants (color and size) rather than ordering all the variants from generic articles.
    Vendor ship prepack articles and received in DC as prepack articles whereas it will be sold at component level in Store.
    Display
    Variant from different generic articles belongs to different merchandise category grouped together as component and created with article category 12.
    Vendor ship as display articles, stocks are maintained at DC as display articles but sold in store at component level.
    Display articles are used in FMCG sectors mostly and to some extend it is used in Fashion as well. These articles generally kept at billing counters and customer will pick the components as they like it.

  • Replenishment in SAP Retail - Article with multiple UOM/EAN

    Dear all,
    I am using SAP Retail. I have an article with multiple unit of measurement as well as multiple EAN. A good example of this article will be canned soft drinks. It comes in pack size of each, 6, 12, 24. I have only one article number for this soft drink but I maintained multiple UOM and EAN for this article.
    When I run auto-replenishment, I can only run it based on one of the packed size (fixed it as the default ordering unit).
    Is it possible to run auto-replenishment for the various packed size?
    Best Regards
    Junwen

    Hi,
    One suggestion. You can buy it in UOM bottle, minimum qty: 6 bottle. Multiples: Your vendor that decide the package size. When you do the GR then set the UOM of the size package, set a lot size calculation (each 6 units) or rounding profile.

    Hi,
    Valuation at retail in SAP Retail corresponds to all aspects of the retail inventory method as used in the trade. Valuation at Retail is transparent and easy to follow. When you use this method, inventory is updated in the article master at retail and at the same time in the Retail Information System (RIS), allowing you to carry out a number of powerful analyses.
    Stock margins and inventory valuation in Financial Accounting are always up to date. And thanks to the integration of valuation at retail with Inventory Management and the integration of Inventory Management with Financial Accounting, Controlling and Profitability Analysis, the valuation data is consistent in all areas.
    Valuation at retail can be used for both quantity and value-based Inventory Management and Inventory Management on a value-only basis. The following explains how you can best use valuation at retail for your requirements:
    In SAP Retail, the valuation area must always correspond to a site.
    In retailing it is common practice to record the retail price of inventory (retail method). Since it is extremely time-consuming to determine all the costs associated with the procurement of an article without the use of modern IT systems, it is all the more difficult to determine the delivered cost of merchandise. In view of this, the delivered cost of an article is usually taken as an average price calculated on the basis of the retail value.
    (a) Valuating inventory at delivered prices (cost inventory method)
    You can only apply this method if you can ensure that all changes involving an article can be accurately recorded. What is known in the trade as the u201Ccost inventory methodu201D or the u201Ccost methodu201D involves valuating stocks at delivered prices and assigning costs to individual articles.
    (b) Valuating inventory at retail (retail inventory method)
    What is known in the trade as the u201Cretail inventory methodu201D or the u201Cretail methodu201D involves valuating stocks at retail, often aggregated at merchandise category or departmental level. Stock is updated at retail for every merchandise category and department. For balance sheet valuation purposes on the balance sheet key date, the delivered cost of the stock is worked out based on a gross margin between cost and retail.
    Both the cost method and the retail method can be used in SAP Retail.
    Bye and all the best,
    Muralidhara

  • POS DM: Stock updates in SAP Retail

    Hi!
    We are implementing SAP Retail (ERP 6.0 EHP4 stack 3), SAP PI (Netweaver PI 7.1 SP 8) and SAP BW (NetWeaver 7.0 ehp1 stack 4, incl BI content 704, SP 3 ) for a client. Their POS system is a 3rd party system, i.e. not SAP POS, and it does not contain any stock information.
    This issue concerns stock updates in SAP Retail using POS DM:
    On the busiest day of year, my client has 347 000 POS transactions in total from all stores, and in one year they have 30 mill POS transactions. My client requires that SAP will provide them with near-realtime information on stock availability, as this is an important way of providing good customer service. The stock information should be available in SAP Enterprise Portal and SAP Retail Store, as well as standard SAP gui transaction. In addition, the webshop (external system) should have as accurate information about stock as possible, at least it should be updated once every 30 minutes.
    My client also has a requirement to be able to create purchase orders during office hours (store opening hours), based on MRP runs. This means they must have as accurate stock levels as possible for running MRP. Stock levels are also used in ATP checks, when deciding whether to pick customer orders from store inventory/stock or to create purchase requisitions.
    All these requirements have led us to believe that the best way to solve this, is alternative A:
    - to update stock continuously during office hours, using WPUBON to create material documents, one for each POS transaction. Sales and tenders will be updated in SAP Retail using WPUUMS and WPUTAB.
    Some challenges this will create:
    a)     It will create 347 000 WPUBONs on the busiest day of year, all within 10-12 open hours.
    b)     If we have same amount of material docs and FI docs, they will use 30% of the available 8 digits within their number ranges per year.
    c)     The idocs will fail if there are article locks simultaneously. (However, this can be handled by updating products only at night time (using batch jobs) and using batch job to handle failed idocs)
    Edited by: Øystein Emhjellen on Jan 4, 2010 2:15 PM

    Alternative B:
    - we have considered to use WPUUMS and WPUTAB, updating stock levels only once a day. The solution we then must use for taking into account actual sales data is described in SAP Note 1088886 - Using the interface for online stock queries. If we choose this, we need to check during the day for each article any sales, to reduce stock in reporting/screens, ATP checks and in MRP runs. We must also create a program to check for articles sold before sending stock data to webshop (external system). (As we do not know which articles have been sold, we must create our own version of RFC - /POSDW/SALES_QUERY_RFC, to enable that the article number does not have to be specified. Rather, the article numbers (and sold quantities) have to be returned to ERP based on what was actually sold.)
    We consider this alternative more risky, due to the need for changing behaviour of standard programs for MRP and ATP check. It will also create a number of RFC calls between SAP ECC and SAP BW.
    My questions on this issue are:
    i)     Will alternative A be preferrable, if hardware requirements are handled?
    ii)     Do you see any additional challenges related to alternative A?
    iii)     Will alternative B be adviceable, concerning the program changes/enhancements involved?
    iv)     Are there standard implementations of SAP ECC, that includes the use of RFC - /POSDW/SALES_QUERY_RFC. I.e. standard programs in SAP ECC that uses the information from this RFC call?
    Thanks for any advice !
    Best regards,
    Oeystein Emhjellen

  • Re-use of article numbers in SAP Retail - consequences for SAP BI ?

    Hello experts,
    I´ve got another task concerning SAP BI 7.0 and Retail ECC 6.00. We are confronted with the following situation: The InfoObject 0MATERIAL is used for SAP Retail Article. 0MATERIAL has been extended with some specific attributes, but beside from this it´s still a standard Business Content object (lenght 18 characters etc.). We are loading data on a daily basis.
    Now for the future there´s the intention to re-use already existing article numbers for different articles (!). E.g. article 012345678910111213 is now a bath towel, but somewhere in the future it changes into a computer or something else.
    From my understanding, we cannot delete the "old" articles in SAP BI as long as they are used in any transactional data. We also cannot change the article text, because 0MATERIAL is not time-dependent. I know that we can make the texts time-dependent (valid from - valid to), but in this case the users have to know when the last change of every specific article has taken place - and this can´t be guaranteed. Beside from this, I can´t see a solution for the reporting on articles because they cannot be compared.
    So - has anybody of you been confrontated with a similar situation and has been solved this problem ?
    Thank you very much.
    Regards,
    Alexander

  • How to implement value only articles in SAP retail.

    Hi
    I have gone through the sap material on Value only materials, but i am not able to get hold of how value only materials would be implemented in SAP retail. Should we use WERT material type to start with or is there any other way to implement the value only materials.
    Any material or links leading to step by step procedure to implement value only materials would be highly appreciated.

    Material type WERT is correct.
    In Material type maintenance you can control at all if a store will be value only inventroy managmenet or both.
    Further in the Site master WB02, you can control it on MC level.

  • Follow-Up and Replacement Articles in SAP Retail

    Hi everybody,
    Iu2019m using SAP Retail and I need to maintain Follow-Up and Replacement Articles.
    Iu2019ve created the Follow-Up Categories in the customizing and Iu2019ve assigned replacement article to the original article in transaction WRFFUART.
    Does anyone know how the subsequent process works? If I create a Purchase Order or a Sales Order to the original article, does the system automatically replace it by the replacement Article? Iu2019ve tested this but there was no substitution.
    Thanks in advance,
    SN

    Hi Barbara,
    I am analysing the functions for Follow-Up and Replacement Articles in SAP Retail ECC 6.0 Ehp. 3. I created Substitution profiles (SPRO: Logistics u2013 General -> Material Master -> Retail-Specific Settings -> Settings for Follow-Up/Replacement Material -> Maintain Follow-Up Categories) and assigned replacement article to the original article in transaction (WRFFUART). I also activated Substitution Processing and Start Replacement logic in Background (SPRO: Logistics u2013 General -> Substitution Processing -> Activate/Process Substitution Processing).
    I tested the process steps you posted (ME21N, VL10B, WSUBST_WORKLIST). There was no automatically substitution after creating the outbound delivery. And the transaction WSUBST_WORKLIST just shows u201CNo data available for selectionu201D.
    I analysed the application and found the table WSUBST_WORKLIST. It handles the entries for substitutions. It was empty. When I fill the table manually with data and run the WSUBST_WORKLIST the outbound delivery and the purchase order have a new position with the follow-up article but the original article is still there, unchanged.
    Why did the substitution not start automatically in background and why is the original article still in the purchase order and outbound delivery?
    It is also interesting, that the material quantity changed. The purchase order includes five units of the original article and the substituted article has a quantity of eight. I guess the reason is a rounding value for procurement.
    The ERP 2005 documentation on help.sap.com ([Assigning Follow-Up and Replacement Articles ERP 2005|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_02/helpdata/en/a2/7c936660dc4da09a3a1d08ee7eeca2/frameset.htm]) describes a conversation factor for the units of measure of the original article and substitution article for each assignment. In the ECC 6.0 documentation ([Assigning Follow-Up and Replacement Articles ECC 6.0|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/a2/7c936660dc4da09a3a1d08ee7eeca2/frameset.htm]) this is missing. In the system I also could not find any type of conversation factor for Follow-Up and Replacement Articles.
    Is this option not available in ECC 6.0 or where can I find it?

  • Fonr size change in Webdnypro for ABAP

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to change the font size of UI elements in WDA application which is integrated in Portal via web page composer.
    To alloborate more, in web page composer WDA application is called as <iframe>http://<host>:<port>/bc.../<webdnypro application name></frame>.
      We have checked with portal themes, but changes in portal themes does not reflect the WDA font.
      So, we have started changing WDA CSS themes by downloading standard theme using BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS, and uploadign the changes , and adding it to the url parameter as <iframe>http://<host>:<port>/bc.../<webdnypro application name eg:XXX>?SAP-EP-THEMEROOT= /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/CustomThemes/standard</frame>
      Now we are able to see font size changes in, application(XXX).
      font size is not reflecting if XXX application call some other application inside , it is obvious as the called application is not having application parameter SAP-EP-THEMEROOT= /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/CustomThemes/standard.
      Through programmatic it is possible, and also if we add it to the application parameter.
    But we don't want do any changes in standard application.
    Kindly, suggest me way, through a portal or by WDA to achieve it.
    Regards,
    Devender V

    Hi,
    you can change the font size (text size) by simply going to IE menu View->Text Size and then choosing the one whichever is suitable.
    I do not know if this will solve your purpose..Just suggestion.

  • Add a new field on SRS (SAP Retail Store)

    Hi Experts,
    We have a requirement to add a new field on the SRS(SAP Retail Store) screen for Purchase Order.
    We identified the template - zwspo_entry/90/saplwspo_docdlg_2000.
    We included a new field in the Internet Services => ZWSPO_DOCDLG under TOPIC_90.
    Now we can see the field on the web output.
    However the corresponding input value which is entered by user is not gettting updated in the structure WSPO_HEAD. So we are unable to save the value entered by user in the PO.
    The code is as below :-
    <tr>
      <TD class="formatlabel" width = 200>
           <label for="STG_LOC">`#_2100_sloc`</label>
        </TD>
        <TD nowrap colspan="5">
             <INPUT id="STG_LOC" TYPE="text" name="WSPO_HEAD-STG_LOC"  value="`WSPO_HEAD-STG_LOC`" maxlength="4" size="4" >
             `if (WSRS_RETURN-FIELD == "STG_LOC")`
                  <img src="`mimeURL(~service="WOSM", ~name="image/arrl.gif", ~language="")`">
              `end`
        </TD>
       </tr>
    STG_LOC is a new field which we have appended to WSPO_HEAD.
    We have created a enhancement in include LWSPO_BAPIF02 in subroutine  BAPI_CRT_POHEADER_MAP_TO where we get the values of WSPO_HEAD. However for STG_LOC its coming blank though we are entering a value on the web.
    Any pointers to resolve this would be extremely helpful.
    Thanks,
    Best regards,
