/SAPAPO/RRP_PLANNING calculation requirements lot size period

Hi all,
In badi: /SAPAPO/RRP_PLANNING Method: AFTER_NETTING I want to recalculate the requirement (QUANTITY in CT_REQ_IO) depending on the period type of the lot size ( SAPAPO/MATLOTSZ-PERVR ).
So feg, requirements for 1 product for 1 day, the period type of the lot size = W week -> so I have to summerize all quantities for that product for 1 week.
Is there a function module to do this? Because you can have week but also month, quater, ...

Reorder level/Lot size

Dear All,
For planning plants we have MRP TYPE: VB
Now for Production Plant the requirement is:
1) Reorder level and safety stock(safety stock is maintained in production plant only)
2) MOQ: 300 pcs
3) whenever the stock goes below the reorder level they dnt want to raise a PO of 300 pcs on vendor. When the reqmnt from all plants reached at 200 pcs then only they want to raise PO of 300 pcs
How to do this ?

Dear,
Generally, a procurement proposal is generated if the current plant stock minus external requirements and plus fixed receipts falls below the reorder point. The system determines whether the reorder point has a shortfall for an order proposal to be generated at all. The subsequent lot-size calculation is then carried out exclusively on the basis of forecast requirements, that is, as many forecast requirements are grouped together for a lot as belong to a lot size period or as is economically useful. However, forecast requirements are only considered if the "MRP indicator of forecast" is set in the MRP type OMDQ. The generated order proposal is at least so high that it clears the material shortage up to the reorder point.
Also note consumption-based planned materials are not planned within a multi-level single-item planning MD02 you need to run it throuh MD01 or MD03.

Lot size

The parents material lot size is fixed lot size , child component lot size is 2 week lot size. ( ie. 2 week = 10 Days ).
question:
If the demand for parent material in month,after MRP run the dependent requirement for child component also getting generate only one planned order.
What are the possibilities if the parent demand in month, child requirement is needed in weekly basis .Any chance to get the child requirement in weekly by changing lot size or any other possibilities.

The dependent req. will generate according to the lot size that is absolutely correct. but planned order or purchase req. will create according to the parent demand (ie .Adding of dependant req. what ever falling with in the lot size period and for that quantity planned order or purchase req. is getting created )
Actually my requirement is for the each dependent requirement one planned order should get generate .

Min max lot size time based for use with SNP and PPDS

Hi all, Is there anyway to set up time based min and max lot sizes? ie we want to have a Max lot size which is small for use with the first 3 months of our plan which starts life in SNP and then converts to PPDS and into blocks for block planning, but months 4 to 36 we want to leave as large max lot sizes as there is no need to have the small max lot sizes for the different horizon.
As far as I can see there is only a material/plant lot size and Max lot size and no way to have a different setting in a different time period.

As you know, in the product master, the lot size maintenance is time-independent, so that obviously can not be used for your scenario. As per my understanding, to meet this using standard functionality, you can maintain multiple product specific t-lanes (for STRs) and PDSs (planned orders) with required lot size ranges and validity dates (for short or long term horizon). But, again since the validity of t-lanes and PDSs will not be automatically rolling forward so the updating the validities will be a challenge.
The other option could be to enhance the heuristic functionality at lot size selection step while creating order.

Rounding Value is not considered for MB lot size

I have a scenario where MB (Monthly Lot size) lot size is used with rounding value. Example as below:
Lot size: MB
Min Lot size: 15000
Rounding Value: 20000
DEMAND: 16000
When MRP run, System is creating the 16000 as P Req instead of 20000 which is the rounding value.
Pl let me know, if I need to apply OSS note / any other solution for this.

Are you using any Rouding Profile in MRP1 view ?
What is the Setup in OMI4 for MB-Lot Size .Remove the tick mark in Last Lot Exat if it is marked .By specifing the rounding value, the system will determine during lot size calculation that lot size qty is a multiple of of an order unit(eg : pallet size if mtrl is delivered in entire pallets...).
Please check what is the Lot Size Indicator or Lot size procedure assinged to it ?
2.you can use rounding profiles...its used to define the setting of rounding up or rounding down the order proposal qty into deliverable quantities...rounding profile maintenance the t-code is OWD1. Here for static rounding profile
Rounding profiles are defined under:
spro-> purchasing->consumption based planning->planning->lot size calculation ->maintain rounding profiles...
it consist of threshold value and rounding value...
the threshold val is the value from which the system rounds the value of the next deliverable units upto...
the rounding value is from which the systemshd round up to as soon as threshold value is exceeded...
Otherwise , Check FM MD_ROUNDING_VALUE

Periodic lot size PR not covering the requirement for the periods

Dear Experts,
I am using customized monthly lot size size key with Periodic lot size procedure and number of periods 3 months.
The MRP is creating one purchase requisitions for all the requirements for the first month only. The second and third month requirements are not included for the purchase requisition quantity. The second and third month requirements are kept opened without any PR.
The planning harizon is 100 days which is more than 3 months. There is no maximum lot size restrictions. But still why the purchase requisition quantity is not included the second and third month requirements.
Please give your valuable suggestions.

LOT SIZE requirements

I have the Below requirement from the client. Can you please throw some light on this.
Current logic only considers requirements within a calendar month with regards to lot sizing. For example, even if material X has a lot size of 1 Monthly period, a planned order falling in the middle of a month will only cover the remaining requirements for that month (~2 weeks), with a new planned order generating the first week of the succeeding month to cover all requirements in that month. We have a need to produce in monthly and bi-monthly frequencies at location X but cannot have all of the monthly requirements systematically falling on the first week of the month as this will put the plant considerably over capacity for that week.

have you set the period split configuration in material master or the period split profile in //MC90?
Create an adequate profile for distributing the quantity in the remaining days.

Combination of Fixed Lot size and Period lot size

Dear all
I have scenario as follows:
1. My supplier's standard packing size of a raw material is 1000 EA.
2. I want to follow period based lot size to optimise my order and inventory cost. But I don't want to use dynamic lot size which will propose dynamic quantity.
So my requirement is like I want to fix lot size as 1000 at material master and Period is Week. My proposal quantity must be 5000 EA for the following demand pattern:
Week 1:1200
Week 2: 1000
Week 3: 1100
Week 4: 1000
System must consider period as well as fixed quantity.
Kindly throw some light on this.

1.As you are looking for Weekly demand demand quanityt , you have to assign Weekly Lot Size : WB.
2. Goto OWD1 and Create a Rounding Profile which will rounds into Weekly Demand quantity for that plant and simulate .
3.Assign this rounding profile in MMR in MRP1
3.DO NOT assing rounding valu as 1000 .Rather keep it blank

Lot size calculation

Helllo,
We would like to use the Wilsons formula for calculating the optimal lot sizes. This is not possible with the lot sizing procedures SAP provides.
Is there a way that I can create my own formula for calculating the optimum lot sizes?

Hi,
You can develop a period lot sizing procedure which has a larger period length than the planning horizon. For example, if the planning horizon is 999 days, develop a procedure for 36 months. You can copy the standart lot sizing procedure TB and change the period type and number of the periods. This way all planned orders that would be generated in that period will be combined into one.

MRP : Calculating lot size without purchase orders

Hello,
    We have some materials with weekly replenisment.
    We want to calculate the quantity by following the formula : Maximun stock - actual stock.
    The lot size procedure HB do something similar but takes into account the existing fixed receipt elements,
    How can I avoid to take that stock into account? any other characteristic? any user exit ? Any badi?

Is it possible to change the costing lot size for the preference calculation?
Reason for my question is: We have all prices on price unit 100
and we want to use also the price unit 100 for preference calcalation.
But the preference calculation always take price unit 1.
Is there any possibility to set somewhere the costing lot size for pref.calculation?

MRP net requirement calcualtion for Lot sizes

Can some one help me on this ..
I want to set up the MRP for the Raw materials Procurement .
for this i want use MRP type as PD and lot size as WB Weekly lot size .
but as per the requirement the MRP is run daily , i need clarification on certain things such as how does the system calculates the weekly lot size ? say if the requirement is converted into PR on the first day of the MRP run ,followed by that if the requirement varies does the system creates a new PR or it changes the Qty in the existing PR if its was not converted to PO .
what are the stock types considered during PR creation and how are the delivery dates determined during the PR creation ?

Hi Chris
You can try to set up a maximum lot size and a takt time on the material master.
Take a look on the F1 help of this field on the material master:
Takt time
If a requirement quantity (for example, for capacity reasons) cannot be procured in a single lot, you have to schedule several receipts. In conjunction with the overlap indicator in the lot size (set in Customizing for the lot size), you can use the takt time to specify that these receipts are offset, that is, that they are delayed by the takt time.
You enter the takt time in workdays.
Use
The system uses the takt time if a requirement is covered by several receipt elements due to restrictions on lot size such as maximum lot size (with all lot-sizing procedures) or rounding value (with fixed lot size with splitting).

New lot size - consolidates the requirements in the past + current month.

Hi All,
My client has requirment where he needs a monthly lot size "MB" for the Raw materials but that lot size must consolidate the requirements in the past month as well with the requirment of the current month so that we only have one requirement.
In current scenario if we use MB lot size and if we have requirment of 100 pc in month of May and 100 PC in month of June then 2 PR will be created. One for Last month and another for this month. Client wants only one PR for both month and wants Last month requirment sto be clubed with this month requirment it self.

There are more that 1000 Raw materials and most of them have past due requirments. Reason that it has to be done during PR stage it self taht combining different PR to single materials so many materials will be very difficult and time consuming.
