Save 10 png images in one minute

Hi,
I have basic knowlegde of how to use labview and I like labview very much. therefore, I am desperate to know how to save several (at least 10) png images (using wrtite to PNG vi) in a directory in a minute. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi naserkhan,
the filename never changes, so you write the same file several times. (Why do you need a FOR loop to generate a file name like "01234.png"? Why do you need to build filenames using string functions whenn all you need is StripPath and BuildPath?)
Is the filepath you generate correct in all parts? Did you (double-)check that?
How often does your loop iterate per minute?

  • PNG images revive deleted images in the form of a thumbnail, potential risk

    Saving a PNG image will revive deleted photos. To replicate this, save a PNG image, such as the ones on XKCD's "What If?", and deleted images get revived in the form of a thumbnail overlapping the image.
    This has been here since IOS 5, according to http://appleinsider.com/articles/13/11/14/bug-resurrects-deleted-image-thumbnail s-in-ios-7-photos-app-dates-back-to-ios-5
    Knowledge of this could be abused. If I get free acess to someone else's Ipad, I can just spam saving PNG images over and over to see their sensitive images saved as a thumbnail overlapping the PNG image's thumbnail.
    How do I delete the thumbnails? It seems that when you delete a photo, it saves the thumbnail. This is supported by the PNG images reviving deleted photos in the form of thumbnails.

  • Saving flash drawing as png image to database

    Hey guys and girls,
    i've seen a few good examples to save out a png of the current flash display area from a webbrowser from a flash, such as:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/saving_flash_graphics.html
    http://activeden.net/item/logo-maker-image-editor/99565
    http://www.flepstudio.org/forum/tutorials/507-swf-png-actionscript-3-0-bytearray-class.htm l
    what they normally do is stream the image data through a png encoder to a web server somewhere and then decode the image data back to current webbrowser and then trigger the web browser SAVE function, by prompting user to select a path and file name to save, like a download.
    What I’m trying to do is very similar, however, the difference is when you click that save button, you can save your png image directly to a certain location with a fixed file name, such as on your local computer:
    D:\flashimage\001.png
    or on a file server: 10.21.111.111\flash_image\001.png
    so i cant find the syntax here. can anyone give me some hints on this? thanks ahead!

    the user.

    hedger,
    How do you expect anyone to help when we don't know a darned thing about the file, abut your setup, exact version of Photoshop and your OS, machine specs, etc.?

    Note that this is boilerplate text.
    If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
    such as your platform (Mac or Win),
    exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CS6", but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge,
    your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
    the type of file you were working on,

    what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
    what error message(s) you receive,
    if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
    if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
    etc.,
    someone may be able to help you (not necessarily this poster, who is not a Windows user).

  • Load png image and save it

    I am loading a png file and saving it again with following code. The newly created image file is smaller size and poorer quality. How can I retain size and quality of the image?
    ===========================================
    File input = new File(imgFilePath+"img1.png");
    BufferedImage im = ImageIO.read(input);

    ImageIO.write(im,"png",output);

    Would a moderator please change this topic back to not solved.
    @Noel: I tried exactly what you said, copying the image to itself so the source and target would be the same size.  It does not work.  I do understand that you respond to many posts and can't actually try to reproduce every issue.   However, in this case, if you did try it on the posted image you would see that the problem is as I described it.
    @Acidiclnk: Thank you for reproducing the problem. Unfortunately, I checked your response as the correct answer, but now realize that it does not solve the problem. What you suggest shifts the position of the image from its as loaded position.  Then, as you said, copied images do register with the original.  The problem is, the shifted image no longer lines up with the other maps of my texture.
    It took me awhile to find the commands you described, as they are a bit different in my CS4 ("Align Layers to Selection > Vertical Centers", etc).  When I tried them, the pasted image was correctly registered with the original.  Unfortunately, as I mentioned, the image is no longer aligned with the other maps of the texture.
    For this particular case, since there were large, uniform areas in the image, I temporarily added fiducial marks to the problem image and one of the other maps.  Then, after copy/paste, I moved the shifted copy until it's fiducial was aligned with the other map, then removed the fiducals.  (I could not use MTSTUNER's Duplicate Layer suggestion, since duplicating it to a new image created a new image with the same problem as the original).
    To summarize: PhotoShop loads this image in one position, but aligning the centers or copy/paste moves it to another position.  I would be happy to know why this is so.  I did verfy that it's unique to PhotoShop as copy/paste works without the shift in another graphic editor.  Any insights would be welcome.

  • How can I merge two TIFF images in one...?

    I need some help please, I am looking for a way to "resize" black & white single TIFF images.
    The process I need to do is like cutting a small image and paste it over a new blank letter-size image (at 300 dpi), like a template.
    Or better yet, is there a way to do something like this...?
    Open image...
    image.*width* = 2550;
    image.*height* = 3300;
    image.save();Some APIs and topics in the internet do or talk about resizing, but the final images get stretched or shrinked and I need them not to do so at all.
    Also, I do not need to display the images, only to get the TIFF images processed and saved back to a file.
    How can I do this with Java and JAI? Unfortunately I am almost new to this and I don't know how difficult it might be to deal with images.

    If 2550 x 3300 isn't the original aspect ratio of the image, then the image is going to looked streched or shrinked in at least one dimension. There is no way around that. It would be like resizing a 2 pixel by 2 pixel image into a 3 pixel by 6 pixel image. The image would look like it's height shrunk or it's width stretched. Had I resized it to 3 pixels by 3 pixels or 6 pixels by 6 pixels, though, then it wouldn't look shrunken or streched.
    Open image...
    image.*width* = 2550;
    image.*height* = 3300;
    image.save();*1)* To open a TIFF image you can use the javax.swing.ImageIO class. It has these static methods
    read(File input)
    read(ImageInputStream stream)
    read(InputStream input)
    read(URL input) You can use which ever method you want. But first you need to install [JAI-ImageIO|https://jai-imageio.dev.java.net/binary-builds.html]. The default ImageReaders that plug themselves into the ImageIO package are BMP, PNG, GIF, and JPEG. JAI-ImageIO will add TIFF, and a few other formats.
    The downside is that if clients want to you use your program on their machine then they to will need to install JAI-ImageIO to read the tiffs. To get around this, you can go to your Java/jdk1.x.x_xx/jre/lib/ext/ folder and copy the jai_imageio.jar file (after you've installed JAI-ImageIO). You can also obtain this jar from any one of the zip files of the [daily builds|https://jai-imageio.dev.java.net/binary-builds.html#Daily_builds]. If you add this jar to your program's classpath and package it together with your program, then clients won't need to install JAI-ImageIO and you'll still be able to read TIFF's. The downside of simply adding the jar to the classpath is that you won't be able to take advantage of a natively accelerated JPEG reader that comes with installing JAI-ImageIO (instead, ImageIO will use the default one).
    *2)* Once you've installed [JAI-ImageIO|https://jai-imageio.dev.java.net/binary-builds.html] and used ImageIO.read(...), you'll have a BufferedImage. To resize it you can do the following
    BufferedImage newImage = new BufferedImage(2550,3300,BufferedImage.TYPE_BYTE_BINARY);
    Graphics2D g = newImage.createGraphics();
    g.setRenderingHint(RenderingHints.KEY_INTERPOLATION, RenderingHints.VALUE_INTERPOLATION_BILINEAR);
    g.drawImage(oldImage,0,0,2550,3300,null);
    g.dispose();Here, I simply drew the old image (the one returned by ImageIO.read(...)) onto a new BufferedImage object of the appropriate size. Because you said they were black and white TIFF's, I used BufferedImage.TYPE_BYTE_BINARY, which is a black and white image. If you decide to use one the BufferedImage types that support color, then a 2550x3330 image would require at least 25 megabytes to hold into memory. On the other hand, a binary image of that size will only take up about one meg.
    I specified on the graphics object that I wanted Bilinear Interpolation when scaling. The default is Nearest Neighbor interpolation, which while fast, dosen't look very good. Bilinear offers pretty good results scaling both up or down at fast speeds. Bicubic interpolation is the next step up. If you find the resized image to be subpar, then come back and post. There are a couple of other ways to resize an image.
    Note, however, if 2550 x 3300 is not the same aspect ratio as the the TIFF image you loaded, then the resized image will look shrunk or stretched along one dimension. There is absolutely no way around this no matter what resizing technique you use. You'll need an image whose original dimensions are in a 2550/3300 = .772 ratio if you want the resized image to not look like it's streched (you can crop the opened image if you want).
    *3)* Now we save the "newImage" with the same class we read images with: ImageIO . It has these static methods
    write(RenderedImage im, String formatName, File output)
    write(RenderedImage im, String formatName, ImageOutputStream output)
    write(RenderedImage im, String formatName, OutputStream output)You'll suply the resized BufferedImage as the first parameter, "tiff" as the second parameter and an appropriate output for the third parameter. It's pretty much a one line statement to read or write an image. All in all, the whole thing is about 7 lines of code. Not bad of all.
    Now as for the 300 dpi thing, there is a way to set the dpi in the Image's metadata. I'm pretty good at reading an image's metadata, but I've never really tried writing out my own metadata. I know you can set the dpi, and I have a somewhat vague idea how it might be done, but it's not something I've tried before. I think I'll look more into it.

    I've been having the same problem for a while now, since the libpng update a couple of weeks ago.
    The day before the update, I was able to open a png, apply changes to compression, interlacing, etc., and export it to the same filename, overwriting the original. (Not the best workflow, I know)
    After the update, the export would just simply blank out (0KB) the original file and give the same error message.
    libpng error: known incorrect sRGB profile
    Here's an example of a png file that does not work - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/937 … rabian.png (107 KiB)
    My workaround was to convert the colour profile to Adobe RGB, open it in Gimp and convert it back(?) to sRGB.
    It doesn't seem to happen with every png though, just mostly the ones that I needed for actual work on a website (they are all from the same graphics guy).

  • IDVD ejects dvd disc one minute early, before burning is completed. Why? What can I do to fix this?

    iDVD ejects the dvd disc one minute early, before burning is completed. Why? What can I do to fix this? I have checked project via mapping and there are no problems with it. I have previewed the entire project and it runs fine.

    Good morning,
    There could be a few reasons why the burn doesn't finish.  iDVD needs a lot of hard disk space to create the DVD -- 10-15 Gigs is starting to get low and under 5 G is virtually impossible.  Reduce the load on your Mac by quitting other applications while you're trying to burn.  Also, you may wish to break down your workflow into two steps (I do this routinely):
    1)  After you're satisfied in iDVD -- use the Save As Disc Image command rather than going directly to burn.  This creates a virtual DVD which you can mount and play on your Mac.
    2)  Second step creates the physical DVD from the disc image.  I use Roxio Toast to copy the disc image, but Apple's Disk Utility also works to burn the disc image.  Use good quality discs -- Verbatim is often recommended; I've been happy with Sony DVD-R as well.

  • Files with .png images create huge .pdf's

    I use .png images in PowerPoint presentations and these seem to create huge .pdf files. (...don't have this problem using .jpg images) For example, I have a 48 slide presentation that has a small .png image in the "slide master" so it will show up on every page. The PowerPoint file is 2.3MB, however the .pdf of it is 33.3MB, making it WAY too big to email, which was my objective.
    Any ideas on how to reduce the size of .pdf's which contain .png images?
    ...note that I "compressed" the .png images inside of PowerPoint prior to creating the .pdf, but this made no impact.
    Thanks,
    pm

    >I have a 48 slide presentation that has a small .png image in the "slide
    >master" so it will show up on every page.
    PowerPoint only has to store one instance of the image even thought it is
    displayed on multiple slides. But Acrobat can't do the same, the image has
    to be stored for every page that it appears on, so that would explain the
    larger file size.
    Acrobat is supposed to be able to optimize the storage of common background
    images (at least that's the message I see when I do a "Save as..."), but I
    have yet to see it to work. Maybe it depends on the application the orginal
    file is created in and the PDF conversion method used.
    Adding the image into a PDF file later as a watermark instead may be a way
    to keep the size down (then it really only does store the object once),
    though I believe that watermark images will appear in front of everything
    else on the page (not sure if that's a problem for you, it depends on
    whether any text or objects in the presentation ever appear in front of the
    image).
    What are the dimensions and resolution of the image in PowerPoint? You may
    be able to go as low as 75 dpi and not notice a difference, it depends on
    whether the image contains any areas of high contrast or text.

  • Can't do a save as disc image

    I have iMovie '09 (8.0.6) iDVD 7.1.2 and am having a problem saving a large file (3.9gb) as a disc image. This file was made in iMovie with chapters and I "Shared to Media Browser" (I am using the .m4v file).I did a short (2 min.) test file in iDVD to make sure I could get the chapters to work and save a disc image before doing the large project. The short test project successfully saved a disc image and I was able to see it with the DVD player. When I try to save as a disc image the time remaining is 37 min (I have a main menu and 2 sub menus) and the process quits after "rendering menu video asset". It is like there is no movie file inserted. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong, or not doing right. Thanks for any help you can provide.

    The file is .m4v and 71 min long.
    • .m4v is also a container - Please open it with QuickTime Player and open Inspector and read in what codec it is.
    • 71 min long - iDVD doesn't care about Gbs at all only time and this is Movie time AND MENU Time (as this can take 15 minutes and even more from the project) AND the various Encoding Qualities has different acceptance in time as:
    iDVD 08, 09 & 11 has three levels of qualities. (version 7.0.1, 7,0.4 & 7.1.1) and iDVD 6 has the two last ones
    • Professional Quality
    (movies + menus up to 120 min.) - BEST (but not always for short movies e.g. up to 45 minutes in total)
    • Best Performances
    (movies + menus  less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD (Can be best for short movies)
    • High Quality (in iDVD08 or 09) / Best Quality (in iDVD6)
    (movies + menus up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above
    Menu can take 15 minutes or even more - I use a very simple one with no audio or animation like ”Brushed Metal” in old Themes.
    About double on DL DVDs.
    The menu (theme?) is called scrapbook and there is audio and no photos.
    • I use an as simple Menu possibly and no animation or Audio on this e.g. Brushed Metal from old themes
    Also there is over 600 GB free.
    • Great - my minimum is 25Gb free space - AND it is ONLY the Start-Up (Mac OS) hard disk that counts as neither Mac OS or iDVD can address any other for their temp. files.
    I sat and watched it save to disc image again, and it did work;
    • If You got a DiskImage that works OK then You can use Disk Util tool to burn it onto a DVD
    I captured the movie from a VHS tape; I'm converting old home movies. By the end of the tape the audio is not in sync with the video.
    • here You do as in so many Q: - anticipate that I/We are Magic in a way or two. You have to describe from VHS/VCR - step by step how Your material ended up in What Video-editor ?
    Use of A/D-box - brand and type
    Use of DVD-Recorder - brand and type AND IN WHAT Codec material is burned to DVD
    Use of iMovie HD6 (very very good for VHS to DVD - near to ZERO loss in quality)
    Use of iMovie08 to 11 - Not the choice of me as You lose every second line in the picture and it can not deliver full interlaced video over to iDVD any way known to me.
    Use of FinalCut - and project set up as HOW ?
    AND - way from this to iDVD - I NEVER use "Share to iDVD" as result will Suffer.
    As You see - there are lot's of info needed to be able to be of help.
    I use a A/D-Box (Canopus/Grass Valley ADVC-300) as this has two Major functions not found on cheaper solutions
    • Repairs broken TimeCode
    a. No Baby-sitting during Capture
    b. Audio keep in Full Sync.
    • Program added that enhance picture quality during Import/Capture.
    I'm not sure how to fix that other than to capture in smaller segments and link them together in iMovie. I have already captured all the segments and am now in the process of creating the movie file to use in iDVD.
    • Might work but way to tedious for me.
