Save JPG image on mobile phone

Hi,
How can I save a JPG image on my mobile's memory card for viewing?
I am using an implementation of JS75 (FileConnection) to access the phone's file system.
I have already googled a lot but with no luck.
Thanks for help.

hi
I think in j2me , due to security issues , we cannot access files or save files to the mobile. We can ofcourse save files to "record store" which is the persistant storage mechanism accessible only to j2me programs.

    Hi FANMixco,
    To be clear, you can see the image from your file system but cannot access it from code?
    I'd like to know what could be my bug because I don't understand why I can access from the URL,
    -> If you can access the image from URL, you should definitely download it and use it, I'm not quite understand your question now.
    I'm not knowledgeable with chmod under Linux, let's say if we give it full accessibility, what will be the result?
    Anyway if you can see the image from file system, that already means the upload is succeed, I think you may need get some suggestion from php side to see how can we save the image with a correct permission.
    I will move the question to off topic, since the question is on the server side but not client side, which is out of the forum support scope, thanks for your understanding.

  • Save jpg image as a vector image

    Is there a good way to save a tif or jpg image as a vector image?

    Tomy,
    Presuming only web/similar use, you may Save a Copy (or Save As, but this may give some danger of ruining your AI document) as PDF as follows:
    1) Use the setting Smallest File Size under General (this will give you RGB);
    2) Set the desired raster image resolution(s) under Compression (you may also just use Do Not Downsample).
    The (lack of) compression is crucial to the file size, of course.

    The following code works inside the servlet. The gif files are put in <%9iASHome%>\panama\server\portal\images directory. The portal alias for ptg/rm takes us to the ....\portal direcory. Anything after that you need to specify in the URL.
    o.println ("<SimpleImage src=\"http://" + server + "/portal/images/PizzaHut.gif\" target=\"http://www.yahoo.com\" alt=\"Yahoo\" addImageExtension=\"false\">Yahoo</SimpleImage>");

  • JPEG images on mobile

    How can i display JPEG images on mobile phone (i.e. Nokia3410)? Can i use JPEGDecoder for this purpose and will it work? If anyone has allready written this code can you provide me with piece of it.

    I tried the server route, but a 30kb JPEG becomes a 210kb PNG, and for downloading over the air on a cell phone, that 7x increase is a painful problem. Downloading the JPEG directly to the J2ME device is definitely the way to go. Pretty lame that J2ME doesn't currently support JPEG natively.
    After many nights of searching the Net for an answer to this question, a kind soul pointed me to the following site, which is 80% of the answer we're looking for:
    http://webuser.fh-furtwangen.de/~dersch/
    Helmut Dersch
    has written/ported a JPEG Decoder that can run in J2ME:
    JPEGDecoder: pure-Java JPEG-Decoder for limited Java APIs (e.g. J2ME)I know that it works (he has a sample app that actually runs on my Treo with a panoramic JPEG image loaded from the resource files). Unfortunately, I haven't been smart enough to write the code yet that would download a JPEG off the web and render it on the screen (without all the Panoramic stuff). Should be simple, though.
    I am sure that it will take 90 seconds for one of you smart folks. If you actually write the code to do this, PLEASE post the source code so that all of us will learn!
    Thanks!!!

  • 320PPI  5cm x 5cm ,  and the mobile app that this image appear runs on a mobile phone of 200ppi disp

    IF I DO AN IMAGE in FW or PS of 320PPI  5cm x 5cm ,  and the mobile app that this image appear runs on a mobile phone of 200ppi display resolution, then resolution seem of image should be 200ppi ... in other words should adapt automatically????

    Only if you were to measure the physical dimentions. (Using physical dimentions and changing the ppi would add or remove pixels)
    inches X ppi = pixels
    A 1200 x 1600 pixel image will be the same on all devices that share that ratio, the ppi difference comes into play when the phyical size of the screen is changed.
    Technically the quality never changed only the zoom changed.
    When designing a screen at 1200x1600 (example) That image will fit on any screen that has that spec.
    The ratio plays a role when only 1 of the 2 pixel dimentions changes (width or the height).
    On larger screens, the ppi is lower to equal the same number of pixels. So when a device can support a higher resolution, the ppi is increased on the same size screen.
    Knowing that, having the specs of the device will tell you the maximum number of pixels that screen can display.
    Therefore, when designing a screen, always start with the largest resolution (pixel dimmentions) first, then downsample to the next size screen and so on.
    The reason is simple, it is easier to remove pixels, then it is to add them later, as photoshop or any other software does not know what should be there.
    BTW, this is also the reason why you can change the pixel dimentions in the save for web dialog box and not the physical size or ppi. To make it easy to reduce the pixel dimentions.

  • Browse and Open  an Image from a phone,  save too

    can anyone tell me how to browse and open an image from the phone and then save that image with different name?

    you only have access to file fia the File Connection API, otherwise you can just read it from your jar, not writ or change the name.

  • Ever since I had updated my phone to ios 6, i noticed that it no longer saved photos to my camera roll.  If i download a picture on on an app, it will not automatically save it to my camera roll as it used to do, nor does it save any image

    Ever since I had updated my phone to ios 6, i noticed that it no longer saved photos to my camera roll. If I take a picture on Instagram, it will not automatically save it to my camera roll as it used to do, nor does it save any image, I just want it fixed.

    To gdgmacguy your a f****** idiot for one I'm having the same problem as pennymar. And you tell me to quit whinning. You got more problems then the iOS 6 you did not answer my question nor the other 13 or whatever you replied to within a 30 min time frame. You must got nothing better to do then to harass people and to pretend you know something about apple products. Which you don't from what I've read the other advices you should have gave to other people. But you didn't you replied a question back to the people asking a question. So if your not gonna use these community forums the right way don't use them at all.

  • Help - problem with save for web when jpg image is placed in file

    I have a jpg image that I placed in my Illustrator 5 file to use as a backdrop and then created several vector buttons on top.  When I attempt to create an arboard around a single button and then save for web, it ignores the artboard dimensions and shows the entire jpg dimensions.  If I create the same file without the jpg backdrop image, I am able to use the artboards to save just a single button.  Any time I place a jpg image in my Illustrator file and attempt to use the artboards, the artboards are ignored and the entire area of the jpg is saved.  I am able to use the slice tool to do the saving, but I prefer to use the artboards.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the artboards to work when a jpg is placed in the file?  Thanks.

    THANK YOU!!!
    It says, "Clip to artboard".  I wasn't sure what clip meant, but that was it!  Thank you.

  • Slideshow images will not display correctly on mobile phone

    Hello,
    I have a website which I used several slideshows, in areas I would typically just used a rectangle and fill with photo.  This was done because my client wants to be able to update the images through business catalyst.  Unfortunately, when viewed on a mobile phone (I am using iOS 7) the slide show images do not display correctly.
    What can be done to fix this?  Is there another workaround I should try?
    Thanks!

    Hi Nicole
    The images that you are using on parties page are stretched , if you check the image frame you can see that.
    As a result the image frame is stretched over the side image , they are not showing properly. If you resize from Muse end , then also it would not be fixed because Muse remembers the image size as you have inserted and when viewed , Muse stretches the image to original size as how it was inserted.
    Please resize the images outside Muse , use any image editor like Photoshop and then use the exact dimension of the image frame on page.
    This would resolve the issue.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • How to save an image to *.gif or jpg?

    Hello All,
    I'm stumbling upon another problem. I can save my displays as *.jpg file but it's very blurry, is there a better way to do this? My code as below:
    try
    OutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(new File("./outfile.jpg"));
    Image image = this.createImage(this.getWidth(),this.getHeight());
    Graphics g = image.getGraphics();
    this.paint(g);
    ImageIO.write((RenderedImage)image, "jpg", out);
    out.flush();
    out.close();
    }catch(Exception ee) {}
    Any suggestion is greatly appreciative. Thanks in advance!

    Try looking at "Encoder" in the search - that should fix you up matey

  • How to save 4 artboards as 1 JPG image in Adobe Illustrator?

    I am doing an online class for fundamentals of design.
    I had to create 4 different designs, so I did this by doing them on 4 different artboards.
    I need to save my work for "web and devices..." as a JPG image in Adobe Illustrator (this i can do). But I want to save this assignment as 1 JPG image with all four artboards showing on one image.
    Can anyone tell me how to do this step by step.
    Thanks so much!!!
    Oh I am using Adobe Illustrator CS5.1

    Make a new artboard by selecting the Artboard tool and shift-click where you want it to start, then drag it out to cover all four of the images.

  • Why are some jpg images scrambled when they appear in my screen saver?   The same images look fine in Preview and Finder.  Some images appear scrambled in the screen saver 'preview' window and the actual screen saver. Other jpg images look fine.

    Why are some jpg images scrambled when they appear in my screen saver?   The same images look fine in Preview and Finder.  Some images appear scrambled in the screen saver 'preview' window and the actual screen saver. Other jpg images look fine.

    The desktop image is fine, taken from the exact same pool of jpg photos.  However, as soon as the slide show screen saver comes on, the images are scrambled.  What is it about the apple screen saver algorithm that scrambles the pics?

  • Problem in mobile phone camera Image retrieval using J2ME ...

    Hi
    I am doing video surveillance application with mobile phone ...
    but i am not able to get the images faster from my mobile phone ..
    I need atleast 2 photos /frames per second using J2ME ...
    wen i tried it , it is very slow and i am not able to get 2 frames per second ...
    can somebody help me ?

    That's quite a bunch of stuff you want to do there.
    Just a short hint for the image processing part here: You can ask any BufferedImage for it's raster (using getRaster()), and you can use the raster's getData() method to access the DataBuffer (the array storing the pixel values). It should be quite easy to split the DataBuffer into 9 tiles which you can then store as blobs. You can also use the DataBuffer to check for color values, or, if you don't want the trouble, you can always use the raster's getRBG(...) method - beware though, it's a lot slower for processing large quantities of pixels. Just another hint: you will have to cast the DataBuffer to it's real type if you want to access the pixel values, for example to DataBufferByte for most RGB images. You can use the DataBuffer's getType() method to determine which kind of buffer the image is using.
