how can i save information entered into text field of ibook widget for another day? At present all entries are lost when widget is closed. i created the widget in iAd producer. Would appreciate any advice! Many thanks K

HELP - Windows 7 saves an entry of a connection to a network location in the start menu

Hello Technet.
I have a question regarding what the title says.
After i connected to a network path on a client PC, from the start menu search, like; \\Fileserver01\Files$,
even after a restart of the client, it still saves the entry in start menu if i just type in "\\"
Is there any way to turn this off?
I dont want my users to get any good ideas if you know what i mean ;)

Save your entries message doesnt appears

Hi All
I have created a new infotype, the screen is having a tab strip with 4 tabs.
when I am not on the main screen and if i enter any values, and click enter the message 'Save your entries on the bottom status line doesnt appears'

URGENT : How to save multiple entries in a T list at one go

If I have a T list that contains the colours availiable at a paint shop (just an example), e.g. white, green, red. I want to save the multiple entries in the t-list at any moment to the database column at one go. how can i do it.
Also the table doesn't contain a column for the colour_code, but instead it has the shop_id and the colour_id corresponding to that shop_id. So i need to insert into the database the colour_id for a particular colour_code as the t-list is just a control item in the data block.
Please help.

if you use multi-selection Tlist item or create your own Tlist looking form, then you may loop thru these multi-selections and add your logic into this loop.

I could make entries in ical yesterday now today it won't save an entry. what went wrong?

Ical won't let me make entries, it keeps saying "cannot save event, no calendar has been chosen." It worked great after updating, even yesterday I entered an event. What could have happened?

I don't understand why people keep referring everyone to "troubleshooting guides". Hopefully, they have done that BEFORE asking questions!
The problem you are experiencing is VERY common. I, myself, have been using ATVs for several years with no problem. Then, suddenly, it starts cutting out. My Airport Expresses also drop in and out. I assumed it was network interference or my Airport Extreme transmission power was going away. After many hour of troubleshooting it occurred to me that the AXpress started having issues AFTER a firmware update. Same was true for both of my ATVs.
Something about the current firmware is not right and Apple doesn't seem to want to address it. I assume that it has to do with different OSs but I am not a Systems Analyst. (so, what do I know)
The best advice I've gotten is to do the following:
(keep in mind, I am using OS V.10.7.5 [Lion] you may see something different if you are using another OS)
-Open "System Preferences)
-Select "Network"
-On the left you will see something called "Service Order"
-At the bottom of this window are a "+", "-" and "Gear" symbol
-Select the drop-down menu of the "gear" symbol
-Select the "Set Service Order" menu selection
-Follow the instructions to put "Wi-Fi" at the top of this list (dragging the items to where you want them on my OS)
-Apply the changes ("Apply" button)
-And, for good measure, restart your modem/router, base station, computer and ATV (as well as anything else using your Wi-Fi network) This step is probably not necessary but it is a good idea!
This suggestion/procedure was given to me by another on this forum and, so far, seems to be helping quite alot!

Can not Accept and save SERVICE ENTRY SHEET

I have maintained a simple Service master, maintained the conditions in ML33, created a PO.
I am doing a Service Entry Sheet, and trying to Accept and save. A popup comes, and if I see ERROR Log it says..
"Z1 001 Needed approval"
I donot have any entries related to Release strategy, like group...

Hi,
Your Service entry sheet total might have exceeded as per you client setup.
It sees that it require approval. You may not have authorization to save the service entry sheet which exceeds a certain total.
Also the log which you got ie Z1 001 describes that if any cash payments exceeds it should undergo approval.
Communicate with your seniors whether they have any setup like this. In that case they can only do this.
for more infomation Go to SE91 trxn code and Give msg class as Z1 and check the error message.

Can't save dns entries

I recently had a server that's ip changed. I set it up as static, the hostname appeared fine. I ran changeip -checkhostname and got the new ip address with the hostname x.x.x and it said that the dns entries were bad and needed to be repaired. I did changeip old ip new ip and it said I needed to match the hostname too so I did changeip o n o n for both. It looked like everything went fine. Still able to connect and I rebooted too I think. Then I went to dns and edited the primary zone, a record, web service and reverse zone. I removed them all at one point and tried to re-add them. Whatever I tried whenever I tried to enter all the information for both after pressing save it deleted all entries except the primary zone which didn't have a nameserver listed. I'm sure that I entered all the information correctly except the primary zone name may be x.x.x where before it was x.x. I tried both x.x.x and x.x and neither would save. At one point I restarted and there weren't any entries listed there save the one incomplete one and now I can't access the server because I think its dns info isn't valid. A ping brings nothing. So I have to help someone change the information. Can anyone help with this? changeip -checkhostname and host both came back fine with the exception that the dns entries needed to be changed in the first.
Also, the hostname is a registered hostname but because the ip changed recently when setting up a new router dyndns hasn't been updated. I don't know if this causes a problem when trying to save a dns record without it being able to identify the hostname or not.

One other thing is that whenever it would auto create a reverse zone or even in the primary one, the default ip listed before I change it is always 10.0.0.1 instead of 10.0.1.7 which is what it is now. It has never been the former that I know of. When setting up the reverse zone, the entry looked correct but I couldn't change it It had the reverse ip minus 7. at the beginning. That didn't seem right and when I tried to change it it just kept what was listed.

How to save routing entries permanently after route add

I have added routing entries through route add command. I know i can add routing entries permanently thru -p option in route add command but didin't use that option. How to save those routing entries now?

The filename you are looking for is /etc/inet/static_routes which is available only on Solaris 10 update 3 or later:

ICal cannot save new entries in Leopard!! When showing Birthdays Calendar

It happens after upgrading to Mac OS X Leopard. I'll tried the same iCal and Address Book with a Mac OS X Tiger 10.4 and it works fine!
The problem:
- Occurred after upgrading to Leopard
- When turning on the "Show Birthdays Calendar" (in Preferences...)
- Changes in iCal, e.g. new entries, amending existing entries, deleting entries, etc., will NOT be saved!
- It works again if the "Show Birthday Calendar" is unchecked
- It also work with a "small" address book but not a BIG one -- My original one has over 2,500 contacts. If I replace it with a small one, these's no problem encountered.

Could it be that the setting Sync Services in Entourage doing the erasing entries?
I am having fits trying to stabilize calendars and sync. Entourage to iCal to .mac to Nokia E61i is an awful chore, often long hours not successful too.

Allow end user to save form entries

I am using Acrobat Pro8. I am creating a live form and want the end user (Using Acrobat Reader) to be able to fill in and save, not just print. Is that possible? I can not figure out how to save the doc so that that is possible. Thanks for any help w/his.

I would also consider upgrading or updating your program. The last update for Acrobat 7.0 is 7.1.4.

Thanks for your answer. The final user will use the latest version of Adobe Reader XI. The configuration of this form is done in Adobe Acrobat XI and Save As Other ... Adobe Reader Extended PDF option is enabled.
All I need is the JavaScript code that performs the action when the end user since XI Reader saves the form, only text fields, drop down lists and check boxes that used to pass read-only mode. This allows users to protect the data you entered and continue later until finished.
Once the user has finished filling out this form, send it to another user, and the only thing you can do is read, but not edit, delete or change the information.

How to save entries in a fillable form

I have created a fillable form using Adobe Acrobat X Pro (I uploaded a form created in Word 2010, and modified it slightly using Adobe X), but users I send the form to are unable to save their entries.How do I allow users to save the information they have entered in the fillable form?
Do recipients of the form have to have a specific version of Adobe in order to save their entries in the fillable form I created using Acrobat X Pro?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Ok! I think I've got the hang of how to edit and distribute the form. I see that Adobe records user responses, is there some way to block this feature?
For my purposes, I really just need to send the fillable form as an email attachment to users, have the users enter and save their responses into the form, and then have them send the modified form back to me as an email attachment.
