Saving Files from Word 2010 into SharePoint 2010 document library deployed as a sandbox solution gives "Web page no longer exist" Error 410

Created a new SharePoint 2010 List Definition project, Sandbox deployment option. List Definition type: Documents Library. When attempting to save into the document library from Microsoft Word 2010 I get "The webpage no longer exists" error in
the File Save dialog
If I change the type of the solution to Farm solution it works as expected.

Hi,
According to your post, an error occurred when you used the custom Documents Library(List Definition using sandbox solution).
Please check whether you have removed <ContentTypeRef/> in the <ContentTypes/> tag of Schema.xml file in your project.
Here is a sample about list definition deployed as a sandbox solution, you can take a look at:

  • "Save As" dialog of excel for a sandbox solution library of sharepoint gives "Web page no longer exist. Error 410"

    Hi
    I created 2 libraries via a sandbox solution for sharepoint 2010.
    I uploaded an excel file into the library.
    Now on opening via excel that file and clicking "Save as " dialog - it tries to open that sharepoint library where the file resides.
    But i am getting an error of "Webpage no longer exists".

    No, this approach doesn't solve the problem

  • Remote upload into sharepoint 2013 document library (cloud based)

    We have a sharepoint 2013 in the cloud.
    Is it possible to have some kind of service (windows or web based) that can access a document library on said cloud server and put files into said document library?
    I don't think we have a lot of behind the scenes access to the cloud instance of 2013.

    Hi,
    As I said above, we could use the Client Object Model to upload the files without the user having to go to SharePoint in the browser first and logging in.
    We can use the credentials in the code as below, the code would copy files to SharePoint online, it worked well in my environment, you can check whether it works.
    public static void CopyDocuments(string srcUrl, string srcLibrary, string destUrl, string destLibrary)
    // set up the src client
    ClientContext srcContext = new ClientContext(srcUrl);
    SecureString passWord1 = new SecureString();
    foreach (char c in "Password01!".ToCharArray()) passWord1.AppendChar(c);
    srcContext.Credentials = new SharePointOnlineCredentials("[email protected]", passWord1);
    Web srcWeb = srcContext.Web;
    List srcList = srcWeb.Lists.GetByTitle(srcLibrary);
    ListItemCollection itemColl = srcList.GetItems(new CamlQuery());
    srcContext.Load(itemColl);
    srcContext.ExecuteQuery();
    // set up the destination context
    ClientContext destContext = new ClientContext(destUrl);
    SecureString passWord = new SecureString();
    foreach (char c in "Password01!".ToCharArray()) passWord.AppendChar(c);
    destContext.Credentials = new SharePointOnlineCredentials("[email protected]", passWord);
    // get the destination list
    Web destWeb = destContext.Web;
    destContext.Load(destWeb);
    destContext.ExecuteQuery();
    foreach (var doc in itemColl)
    try
    //if (doc.FileSystemObjectType == FileSystemObjectType.File) //Field or Property "FileAttachement not found."
    // get the file
    File file = doc.File;
    srcContext.Load(file);
    srcContext.ExecuteQuery();
    // build destination url
    string nLocation = destWeb.ServerRelativeUrl.TrimEnd('/') + "/" + destLibrary.Replace(" ", "") + "/" + file.Name;
    // read the file, copy the content to new file at new location
    FileInformation fileInfo = File.OpenBinaryDirect(srcContext, file.ServerRelativeUrl);
    File.SaveBinaryDirect(destContext, nLocation, fileInfo.Stream, true);

  • Cannot Publish Slides from PowerPoint 2013 to SharePoint 2010 Slide Library

    I have the 64-bit version of Windows 8 Release v1.0, Internet Explorer version 10 (10.0.9200.17183), Office 2013 Professional 32-bit, and a SharePoint 2010 environment.  I cannot publish slides to the SharePoint environment at all.  When
    I attempt to do so from PowerPoint 2013, I receive an error indicating all slides (X of X) failed to upload.  When I attempt to use the option in the SharePoint 2010 Slide Library (Upload > Publish Slides) I receive the error of "This feature
    requires Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007.  Either the application is not installed, or your browser is not configured to support ActiveX controls."
    I have added the URL for the site in question to my "Trusted Sites" in Internet Explorer 10.  I read through the KB 2716529.  There is no TabProcGrowth registry entry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, but there is one under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    and the value is set to "Medium" which appears to be accurate.  I tried running the "Fix it For Me" option offered with that KB, and the wizard indicated the problem could not be found on my computer.
    How can I resolve this issue?  Utilizing slide libraries is a very important feature of SharePoint for my organization, and going back to Office 2010 is simply not an option.

    Hi Jen_O,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you were unable to publish Slides into SharePoint 2010 with Office 2013.
    For narrowing this issue, let's verify the followings:
    Please test on other machines with the same system configuration, compare the result.
    Please test on other machines with 32-bit system and IE 10, compare the result.
    Whether you are able to publish Slides from Windows 7 and Office 2013 32-bit.
    Whether this issue occurres for all slide files with Office 2013.
    Please create a new slide in PowerPoint 2013, and check if it could be uploaded into a new Slide library.
    In addition,  Office Web Apps (as part of SharePoint 2010) allow SharePoint users to view and edit Office documents (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.) from within the browser. Typically we can click on a link to a PowerPoint, for example in a document library,
    and be taken to a new page to present PowerPoint.

  • Can't open MS Word .doc files from SharePoint 2013 document library?

    Hello,
    I have uploaded some MS Word files with .doc extension into a SharePoint 2013 document library, but they don't open when clicked.  I can do a number of things to the file, like view and edit properties, download and other things, but it does not
    open up when mouse clicked.  There are PDF files in the document library and they open up just fine.  Any ideas?
    I should add that MS Word 2010 .docx files can not be opened either.
    Thanks.
    Paul

    Hi,
    Whether you use office 2013.
    Considering this .doc file can be smoothly opened in Office if you downloaded it to your local, it indicates that the Word document and Microsoft Word doesn’t have any problems. The issue may be caused by the compatibility between Office
    and your site.
    1.Check whether you have the SharePoint OpenDocuments Class add on enabled at first.
    Internet Explorer >Tools iron > Manage add-ons >
    Choose to Show All add-ons. Find SharePoint OpenDocuments Class and make sure it’s enabled.
    2.go to Compatibility view settings > add your SharePoint site to compatibility view
    3.go to Internet Options,
    Advanced > Reset… > Check Delete personal settings and reset
    Security > Trusted sites > sites > add SharePoint sites to trusted sites
    4.If it doesn’t work, please open Word, go to Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Protected View > Uncheck all.

    hyper link of public image(hyperlink or image) can not be saved on windows server 2012 and sharepoint 2010 problem, is this a bug?

    It is not a bug, you might be using IE in Windows server 2012 and and browser might be restricting your site actions to respond properly.
    Check this in a different browser or access site in a differ OS.

  • Losing out custom metadata info of few documents of a document librarby when migrated from MOSS 2007 to Sharepoint 2010

    We have recently migrated from moss2007 to sharepoint 2010.We have a document library containing large no. of documents in it  & for those documents there are some custom metadata columns apart from OOB library columns . We have user content DB attach
    migration and after that we can see blank value under the custom columns for some records. However interesting point is we can see this metadata is showing for few documents.
    Please suggest.

    Hi,
    What is your Office edition? When we create a managed metadata column in a Document Library, it will prompt that ‘Earlier versions of client programs might not support this type of column’. You should use Office 2010 to edit and create a document then save
    to document library .
    For detailed information ,please refer to this article:

    Hi,

  • SharePoint 2010 Allow User to Add Comments to Files in a Library and to the Header of the Web-Page

    (1) I need to allow an end-user to be able to add comments to files either when they are added to a library or after they are added. I didn't see a Column available for adding to a Document Library for "Comments".
    (2) I need the same user to be able to add text/comments to the Header of the web-page that contains the library (above the library at the top of the screen).
    When I (the SP Admin) add the "Content Editor Web-Part" to the top of the web-page that contains the Document Library, the Toolbar disappears. The Content Editor Web-Part would be ideal to allow the end-user to add comments to the Header, but I
    really need the Toolbar available.
    Is there another Web-Part that I could use for allowing comments to be added to the Header of a web-page without disabling the Toolbar, or is there a known-fix for allowing the Toolbar to be available and functional after adding a Content Editor Web-Part?
    JCashon

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to add Comments to Files in a Library and to the Header of the Web-Page.
    (1)If you use the document content type in the library, it will contain the “Comments” field automatically. When you add the document, you can enter the conments. You can also edit the “Comments” field after the document added.
    (2)If you add the add the "Content Editor Web-Part" to the AllItem.aspx Page, you can add the text to the web part as the Header.

  • Problem importing PDF file from Word to Pages on IPad 2

    I am trying to import a PDF file from Word 2007 to Pages on my iPad 2 using the file sharing function in iTunes.
    I am able to import it, however when Pages saves it, I get the following message:
    "Pages doesn't support some od the original document.
    Objects in headers, footers, shapes, text boxes and table cells were removed.
    Merged table cells were unmerged.
    Objects were removed from table cells."
    The document is a PDF form which needs to be filled in. The document was downloaded from a website and saved as a Word document where I have been able to enter in information and print it.
    I would like to be able to fill in the form and print it from Pages as there are other documents that accompany this PDF file. (these are plain text Word documents which I have succesfully imported and can edit and print.)
    Is there any way for me to achieve this?
    Cheers,

    I don't think Pages can do this - you'll need a dedicated iPad PDF program that can fill in and edit PDF files. And even then, reports are that different readers work or dont' work with different PDF's... I use Goodreader, which can do some PDF filling in, but you might want to check the app store for others.

    Good Day,
    Can someone please confirm if you can connect a SharePoint 2013 Document Library to Outlook 2010 client?
    I have seen articles, like the one shown below for Outlook 2013 to SharePoint 2013;
    http://www.sharepointgeoff.com/how-to-connect-a-sharepoint-2013-document-library-to-outlook-2013/
    Please provide a link to documentation to validate what Outlook Office versions will support viewing Document Library from Outlook client from a SharePoint 2013 Document Library.
    Thanks in advance for taking the time to review my request.
    Regards,
    Mark

    Hi Mark,
    Per my understanding, you might want to connect SharePoint 2013 Document Library to Outlook 2010 client application.
    Yes, SharePoint 2013 Document Library can connect to Outlook 2010 client application, the connecting process is similar as what SharePoint 2013 connect to Outlook
    2013 client application does.
