Says my brand new battery is charging but dosent change from 0%, after 10 mins the adapter changes to green and the battery dissapears from the mac.
Like the topic says, have an macbook pro 15 late 2008 works like a charm.
Have had a bad battery for over a year so today i bought a new one, plugged it in
and started my mac, said charging and stood on 0% for about 10 mins then the adapter
turned green and the battery didnt show up on my mac anymore, tried and SMC or whats
it called, same thing happened again
downloaded cocnut battery and there it just said when i was charging that the
battery was -1 amh?
isnt new battery supposed to be delieverd with 50% on them?
What can be the problem here? is it the AC adapter?
helpful for anytips, a very poor student so cant have it on a service

thanks for the reply and for your support. However, I did not understand why I as customer should go to the next Apple store nor why I should pay 29,- Euros for the replacement.
I give you an example. I have an HP printer. Was not working any more after 2 month. HP send me a new printer and took back the old without any charge.
Apple knows that it is a problem with the phone battery. Why the customer should pay for that. The customer has warranty, the customer paid the product. Apple has to care about the customer. It seems that Apple cares more about to increase its profit and leave the support its customers. Anyhow, if this the only way I have to invest the time and will go for the Apple store. I hope the buggy phone will be replaced by one which is working properly. Otherwise I will go for the offer from Samsung which won't be a good advertisement for Apple at all.

I'm kinda frustrated about my macbook pro, I seriously want this to get fixed. My MBP is 2 1/2 years Last week My mbp shut downed by itself then I figured out that the problem was the battery so I replaced it then bought a new one. I bought a replacement battery not in the apple store but I bought it online(somewhere cheap).
so now the big problem was after installing the new battery my mbp is charging but it returns back to zero percent then back to normal, so I can't pull out the charger from my computer because it will shut down.

I recently purchased a 13" MacBook Pro. On my first boot up, the battery charged to 100%. I didn't operate this thing on the battery. The next time I booted this thing up, the battery was charged but the meter read 98%. In the subequent boot ups of this machine, and I still having not used the battery, my battery is fully charged but the meter now reads 96%. IS there some problem with the hardware or the software? Help is appreciated!!

On subsequent occasions the Battery Charged symbol has appreard at below 100% charging. I have been using my MacBook Pro for the whole day with outlet power and never did the battery go back to 100%. I hope I don't have to calibrate the battery on this model?

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Bought brand new Toshiba A500 laptop, but no Windows 7-64 CD/DVD's came with it, just the programs installed on the computer. Since I have been a long-time Dell customer, where all programs installed also come with various CDs/DVDs, I am rather surprised, especially when you consider that I bought a complete Win 7 Utl OS. Where are the discs? For me this can be a future deal breaker. Is Toshiba so confident that their machines will never need to see an OS disc?
they havent put the discs in with there products for a few year now. there is a recovery partition on the hard drive you can use for a recovery. they also have a program called recovery media creator on your laptop to make your own recovery media. it is a way that if people dont make the recovery media you have to call and order some and toshiba gets another $25 for the user. there is a section in your users guide( search users guide in start menu) about page 60 shows how to recover from partition.

Brand New-- It's on but I can't see a thing....
I just got a refurbished iBook in the mail tonight. Before turning it on I installed an airport extreme card. Apparently that was a mistake, because the computer won't turn on. Well--I suppose it does- when I press the volume keys, I can hear it. But the screen is black and I can't see anything. Please Help!!!
Try holding a flashlight up to the screen to see if anything is on it. If there is, then its likely that the backlight is not working. If that is the case call Applecare asap and let them know about the problem.

I just bought a philips fidelio docking speaker and when I plug my iPod touch 4th gen it charges but dosent play music through the speaker.

I setup my iCloud account on my iPhone 5 with the wrong e mail address, and I don't remmber the password, I reset my tel and erase all the information on my iPhone in order to try to set up a new iCloud account but when I restart I have a problem agaIn , they ask me to put again the old iCloud user account and password, what I can do in order to start the phone when I don't have the correct e mail and I don't remmber the passcode.?
I have the same problem as the emails go to my iCloud account that I cannot access!!! I cannot answer the security questions as someone else must have set up my iCloud account. Nothing seems to work. It would be great if someone has some ideas as what can be done to recover the situation?

I did a full system restore to my phone along with the new 7.0 update. Now I went to restore my phone setting back through Itunes and it goes through all the steps but when it is completed it wont get past the "Connect to Itunes" screen
