SC Approved, No backend docs

Hello,
We have EBP 3.5  in classic scenario with R/3 4.7.
I am facing issue with some shopping carts which does not create backend documents. The documents get approved but the backend documents are not created.
When I check in BBP_PD it indicates changed by WF BATCH whereas if backend documents are created it indicates chaged by EBP ADMIN.
The SC would remain in status I1129 (Approved) and does not go into the next status I1112 (Item in transer process).
Has any one else faced such a problem? Is this a problem with the standard SAP. Any pointers to the issue would be most helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards,
Ajith Chandran.

We are running SRM 4.0 on ERP 2004 classic scenario. We have the same intermidiate problem.
As mentioned earlier, the problem seems to be around TS10007991 (SETRELEASED).
Our workaround is to run tcode SWI2_DIAG to identify the carts in error (approved, no backend document).
tcode SWUD - Task type:TS Task ID:10007991
Click "execute" on test enviroment
Click BUS2121
Click Test/Execute
Click New Instance
Enter shopping cart number
method "Set Transferable" - Execute
method Transfer - Execute
This seems long but acutally is very quick. I found a few notes around this but does not fit our scenario.

I hope this is of some help. If anyone knows a solution to this please share.

  • Change the backend doc type from PR to PO in BADI BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS.

    Hi,
We have followed below approach for backend document type determination.
    1. A custom function module contains the logic to determine the backend document type of a Shopping cart line item. THis function module, performs many checks and hence cannot be called in any BADI that is executed in Foreground.
    2. I am using BADI BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS to change the follow document type by calling the custom function module.
Issue here is, if the backend document type of a line item is Purchase requisition (2) by SAP standard, and if I try to change it to Purchase order, it gives run time error and ends up in creation of Purchase order.
After further investigation I found that this line item (with default backend doc type as 2) has a desired vendor. If we change the desired vendor of this line item to fixed(To Partner function 19 from partner function 39), it allows us to change the doc type from Purchase requisition to purcahse order in BADI BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS.
But changing the partner function is possible only in BBP_DOC_CHANGE BADI, and I cannot call the custom function module there, as it may impact the performance.
Is there any other way, I can change the partner function in any of the BADIs called in background?
Or Is there any way by which I can change the backend document type from PR to PO in BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS?

    Hi Parab
if you swaping 39 to 19 viadoc change badi
REQUESTER has a control on Purchase ORDER Vendor and BUYER lost a control so your business has to decide. In this case procurement department lost their control.
Fixed vendors are like inforecord and contract negotiated for best price ..

  • Access request number pending with which approver in backend?

    Hi All,
Is there a way to see particular Access request numbers are pending with which approver in BACKEND grc system?
    Thanks for any inputs

    Dear Sush,
as Suvonkar mentioned you can use Search Request screen to find pending approval requests. If you press Instance Status button you can see approvers for each path/stage.
    Instance Status:
Also it is possible to see in the Audit Log.

  • SharePoint 2010, Contributor Permission still can Approve and Publish docs/pages...

My department has created a new Web Publishing Unit.  All "Publishers" use to have approve rights; they changed from Approvers to Contributors.  I still have some (now) Contributors that still get the "Approve and Publish" buttons
that allows them to approve and publish their docs and/or web pages.  I have reviewed all SharePoint Groups to make sure they were not in one of the other groups and they are not.  How can I fix this so that all Contributors can only "view,
add, update, and delete" list items and documents?   Thanks, Mija-Linda

    Hi Mija Linda,
Have you checked contributor group's permission level, I think that group might still have approver (Design) permission, if so, then it would be better to modify the group permission.
the best thing is to create a permission level and assign users to it.
Let us know your finding, so that we can suggest an alternate.
    Hope this helps!

  • Get approver details in doc check

Is there any way to get the current approver and corresponding item guid determined by the system in doc check badi?

    Hi Saravanan,
I am getting the approvers in the method GET_APPROVERS_BY_AREA_GUID via Z class which is a copy of /SAPSRM/CL_IM_WF_RR_CCTR_SC
Now in this method I am getting the approver details from ECC, if no approver details is found I want to throw a error in the SC saying no approvers found. Since I could not pass any error message via that method I wanted to implement a check in doc_check badi if there is an approver against a line item, if not then it will show error to the user. Instead of calling and using the entire logic again in doc_check badi I wanted to check if any method can be used to retrieve the approver for the item during runtime.

  • Urgent: backend PO/PR doc type

    Hi,
I am confused and need to check!
Currently we have configured the transaction type for backend doc in users attributes. this doc type is for backend PR (ABP). config says if complete then PO otherwise PR..back end PO doc type is ACBP and it is not set in attributes
when we order SC having valid source (R/3 contract) it auto picks up PO doc type ACBP in one system and creates PO. Is this doc type coming from R/3 doc type linkage or any other place. Pls help
    Alok

I could find the mapping done in the PO change BADI..But I would like to ask, is there a standard function like giving both doc type in the attributes or only way is to configure the same doc type in R/3?
    Thanks!

  • Error : "Backend data could not be read"....

    Hi
We are having SRM 4.0 with backend R/3 4.7.
When shopping cart is approved, getting error message "Backend data could not be read".
In BBP_PD, status is showing "Error in Transmission"
Observed that BE_OBJECT_TYPE and BE_OBJECT_ID fields are blank in table BBP_PDBEI.
At the bottom of BBP_PD, in the alert section in Monitor field a message appeared as "Shopping Basket\Spooler Communication errors".
Is this error something related to RFC authorization?
Please tell me what is the reason.
    Thanks and Regards
    Jagadish

    Hi Jagdish,
As you said, this may be related to RFC communication.
During the SC approval, SRM will determine the follow on doc type (RS, RQ, PO) depending on your customizing, the SC item data, and what R/3 let you create (after META_INTERPRETE_DAT).
Just after this step, the backend doc type & ID are stored in SC item backend references. But here your fields BE_OBJECT_TYPE and BE_OBJECT_ID fields are blank.
It makes me suppose that a backend communication error made this process failure.
If the RFC authorizations were not correct, then this would be the case for ALL your SC !!! I don't think this is the case.
Do you have lots of errors like this one ?
Maybe the backend was not available or overloaded at that time. Is this an error in production ? What are your volumetrics ?
Can you check in SM37 if you have some jobs named PO_JOB created at this time or scheduled since this date ?
    Rgds

  • PO not created after approval.

    Hi
We are working on SRM4.0 classic scenario with SAP R/3 4.7.
We are having following scenarios to create backend docs.
    1. All SC created from catalog should create PO in backend R/3.
    2. All SC created using Free text description (All non catalog items) should generate PR in backend.
All PRs are getting generated perfectly as per point 2.
But the problem is with point 1 where PO is not getting generated in backend after approval is done.
As per my analysis, system is picking the PO number and object type perfectly. But all these records exists in BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB. Even after running CLEAN_REQREQ_UP also they are not going to backend.
In BBP_PD it shows I111  Item in transfer process with no check in inactive column.
    No errors in SC monitor(RZ20).
I dont know where am I missing. Checked all possible things.
Did anyone faced such situation please throw some light on this.
    Thanks in advance

  • ECP PO# is different in backend R3

    Hi experts
We are having SRM5.5 and backend ECC5.0.
    Scenario : Extended classic
    1. SC approved
2.PO created in SRM (with local PO# range internal)
3.PO completed and ordered in Process PO
    4. PO replcated to backend R3 with different number range(maintained same number range as SRM internal PO with external checked).
Can you throw some light on this.
    Am I missing anything???
    Thanks in advance
    Jagadish

    Yann
I did not get your point.
You mean the PO number which SRM has passed is not available in backend?
    Please clarify.
I have maintained same number range in SRM and Backend.
I even tried removing Int number range for backend doc type to check if system looks for Ext num range if Internal is not assigned. In that case system throws error "Internal number assignment not defined..." when processing PO in SRM.

  • Error in Transmission after SHC approved

    Hi all,
I have a problem where my shopping cart is approved but throws an error while creating the backend follow on documents "Error in transmission"
I have read the earlier thread which is similar to this but did not help me great. There were suggestion of debugging FM BBP_REQREQ_TRANSFER. Please give me details of what areas in the FM i need to concentrate on, since my technical team is not too familiar with EBP.
These are the ALERTS that are found in BBP_PD of the SHC
    Shopping basket\backend application errors
    Arguement 1: 0000185325
    Arguement 2: 3000037297
Arguement 3: SE142 Please enter quantity in line 3000111
    (what does this exactly mean???)
    Arguement 4: 00000000000000000000
    Hoping to hear from you
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Sunny

    Hi Sunny,
Does it assign PO Number, PO Object BUS2012, Backend Doc Type for SC line Item. You can check these in BBP_PD.  If you do not see these, then you have problem before transmission. But, normaly error in transmission, happens when PO creation is tried unable to do successfully.
As i mentioned earlier, debug thru Req transfer function module, see where it fails.
or You can use tocde BBP_MON_SC and debug thru, Put a breat point at META_PO_CREATE or META_PR_CREATE depending what is created in R/3.
I remembet you mentioned you are on live EBP system and happens to few carts. Hence, Pls check in R/3 are you able to create manually PO or PR for same data that SC is tring to create and see do you have any problem in R/3.
    Regard,
    Jay

  • Approve button of PO Approval Notification not functioning properly

    Hello,
We are using PO approval workflow for our PO approval process.
The approve button of the email notification is not performing the intended action, that is approving the PO.
Since the approve is not functioning,we had to approve it from oracle. Is there any reason for this?
Kindly let me know if there is some solution to handle such issues. This is a critical issue because not all the approvers can login

  • SRM- Pucchase Order and Contract (backend) Tolerance failures

Using SRM 7 Extended classic scenario with ECC 6.0.  Tolerances have been set up in ECC and SRM.
The Contract is raised in the backend and replicated into SRM.
In SRM, both PPOMA and Vendor groups have been assigned the correct TOG.
Raising a Shopping Cart that exceeds the Contract Target value, but it within the Tolerance, works fine.  However, once the Shopping Cart is approved, the back end PO creation fails, leaving the SC status as Saved.  A review of SLG1 says that the PO exceeded the Contract value and displays errors for both Quantity and Target Value.
Any ideas on where to investigate appreciated.

    Hi Gerry
give more precise data about TOG you given in org structure
so you will get more suggestions from other people. it is power of SDN
created PO successfully in ECC via ECC request
no PO created successfully in ECC via SRM request
give more data on sc /pr /contract data ( quantity or value contract) for better understanding
    Muthu
I'm having similar problems btu with repsect to SRM PO's against Contracts raised in the backend (replicated into SRM)
Our infrastructure -s SRM 7 Extended Classis Scenario and ECC 6.
I have tolerances setup in ECC and SRM and the TOG has been assigned in SRM Vendor Groups and in the HR Org Structure (PPOMA).
Tolerance are 5% up to $100.00
If I raise a Contract in ECC, and a PO (MM) in ECC, then the PO will work if I stay within the allowed tolerances.
When I raise a PO in SRM, the Shopping Cart is processed OK, but when the SC is approved, the backend PO is not created.
In the Shopping cart in Related Documents for document Purchase Order, the Satus is set to Saved. A review of SLG1 indicates error due to exceeding the quantity and the Target value.
Why are tolerances not being taken into consideration? How do I get this to work?

  • PO Awaiting Approval After Change

    Hi Gurus,
We are on SRM 7.0ehp1 and ECC 6.0.
    I'm new to SRM business.
In our case, requirement is created in backend and after approval it is transferred to SRM. RFx is created via sourcing application. After that, PO is created both in SRM system and backend systems using the RFx responses. There is no approval in SRM system.
Our problem is, when we make any change (except adding an internal note from notes and attachment part in header tab ) in PO, its status turns into 'Awaiting Approval' and backend document  is not changed according to this. And after. that i get 'No work item ID provided' error messages when i try to edit the PO.
Thank you very much in advance.
