SCCM Collection with IE9 Installed Clients

Hello ,
I would like to create a Collection on SCCM with all IE9 Clients . Because some clients downloaded and install the stand alone version of IE9 and others get the IE9 from our WSUS ,
i cant count the exact number of IE9 installed clients . i have tried a lot of queries but i didnt get the right results except from the computers which installed and registered the IE9 on Add/Remove Programs .
The query for the collection is :
select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS on SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS.ResourceID
= SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS.Publisher = "Microsoft Corporation" and SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS.DisplayName = "Internet Explorer" and SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS.Version like "9"
That query doesnt return all the computers with the Intenet Explorer 9 installed , just only the computers with stand alone installation .
Any ideas ?
Thanks a lot
D.S.

Yes, i do
Are you able to see any details of installed softwares and add remove program details in Resource explorer in SCCM console?

Sure ,  I can .
Have you seen the note provided in the above post?
Notes: To find the clients that have not yet installed IE 9, simply change "like" to "not like" when checking the file verison number. Also, if you see oddities in the memberships, keep in mind that this is based off of the .EXEs
polled and listed in the SCCM database, so when in doubt, use Resource Explorer within the ConfigMgr console to see if the "iexplore.exe" file has been inventoried.

Have you checked the below point ? If yes can you please share the screen shot ?

You mean the Resource Explorer from a client ? RightClick on Client ->Start->Resource Explorer ?
I have enable the Software Inventory Client Agent on Clients from central site properties .

  • BO slow when accessing reports through the web but not with a installed client.

    Hi
We have installed BO 4.0 SP08 in a virtual machine with 32 RAM and 8 CPU processors. We have divided the APS in a number of instance with different services. We have also 8 Web Intelligence Processing servers.
The application is slow when trying to create or view a report from the web browser (ie or chrome). If we use the installed Web Rich Client on a machine, then it works fine.
    Does anyone knows why?
    thanks
    Teresa

    Any ideas??
I don’t know, but whatever it is, it’s preventing you from creating complete sentences.
Run the Apple Hardware Test as described on page 101 of your owner’s manual to see if it detects any problems.

  • Client Push on Windows 7 x86 with IE9 open.

I everyone, I need to validate something.
I am currently deploying SCCM 2012 R2 for a client of mine.
They are using mainly Windows 7 with SP1 x86 with IE9 installed.
When doing  client push from the console or installing any SCCM agent update, we are getting an error message stating the IE just crashed and the error is talking about IEFrame.dl:
Doing the same thing on a Windows 7 with SP1 x64 is not getting an error message.
Anyone can reproduce the error on is side? Or anyone know a workaround for this issue?
We are talking about SCCM 2012 R2 CU3 doing a client push on a Windows 7 with SP1.
There is no update done on Windows (I was using the default install.wim at first then applied all updates) and IE9 is installed (installation file downloaded at
    http://techdows.com/2011/03/download-ie9-final-offlinestandalone-installer.html).
I will try the same thing with a all the updates installed on Windows 7 x86.
    Thank you for your help.

After some troubleshooting and a bit of luck, the problem is the following:
The December update KB3008923 (Cumulative Update for IE December 2014) was causing the problem on IE9.
The update released on January 2015 KB3025945 is fixing the issue.
This is not an update available through WSUS so you have to look for it at
    http://catalog.update.microsoft.com.
There is a bit more information, the problem is recurring but I did not found which task was causing the error so it was not only the installation that was causing the problem. After installing the KB3008923, the problem was present on any x86 Windows 7
computer running any version of configMgr agent (tested on 2012 SP1 and 2012 R2).
After installing the January update, the problem is gone.

  • Can't install client on one computer

This is a new Lenovo ThinkPad with Windows 8.1 Professional. Our SCCM 2012R2 has successfully installed clients on hundreds of our computers. It doesn't work on this one. Also, manual installation fails. the push client installation always creates this
    error message, immediately:

Running manual installation at the client always fails also.
Here is a partial log file for manual installation (a few initial log entries included, and then I jumped to the first "failed" message):

    Any ideas?  Thanks.

That was it!  It was a strange mix-up of accounts, where I was logging on with a "Microsoft" account that had the same name as an "organizational" domain account.  When I was logged on with the Microsoft account, I couldn't
install the software.  When I logged on with the domain account, I could.  Thanks!!!

  • SCCM 2012: sysprep from installed machine (with configmgr client)

    Hi,
We have taken a sysprep of a vm which had a full sccm 2012 task sequence windows 7 and made a new machine (vmware esxi).
It registered correctly to SCCM 2012, can we consider this as a proper way of working (sysprep a w7, it registers automatically to sccm 2012?).
    J.
    Jan Hoedt

Sysprep doesn't do anything with the configMgr Client agent because sysprep is a Windows core component like the print spooler and has no knowledge of anything else. Like Peter
mentions you must prepare the Config Manager Client task performs the steps necessary for an agent to be included in an image and is detailed here:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb633049.aspx.

  • Issue with only one client - The client version 5.00.7958.1000 does not match the MP version 5.00.7711.0000. The client will not be installed.

Below issue is with only one client in that untrusted domain. So boundary is not the issue.
    Env -
mydom.com has SCCM PRI site (MP, DP as well).
    Client is in untrusted forest.
    Please help.
    Thanks

Why two primary that is 'coz geographically based server support and workstation. You can think it as a data center to data center split.
That doesn't make sense and aren't valid reasons for 2012 (not that you can necessarily change it now).
This line jumps out at me in the log file though: "An MP exists on this machine".
That looks like the system you are installing on previously had an MP on it. I would delete the ccm namespace in WMI, cleanup all reference to ccm and Configuratin Manager from the registry, and then try again.

now only 11000 client in sccm2012
What is the best way to install client for all computer
Note that sccm 2012(1 primary site and 4 site system server every server (4 roles (management point  , Distribution Point  , site system , component server  ) ))
and in boundaries i create boundaries but not for all branch and enable (boundary group for site assignment ) for every group
What is the best way to install client for all computer
    thank u

You basically have 3 options, if you disregard a manual install.
    1. Client Push. Configure an account with local admin rights on the clients, and enable Site-Wide pushing of client.
    2. GPO. Import the GPO templates and enable the client to be installed that way
    3. Startup script.
Of the 3, I usually go with a combination of client push and GPO.
Take a look at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg712298.aspx for the complete documentation.

Hello guys..does anybody know how to install and use adobe master collection with the new lion?
I need to use Flash and illustratore, but apparently those programmes are incompatible with the new operative sistem...
I am a new mac users and I'd like to know if there are other similar programmes I can use with lion!

    Are you on Apple's payroll?
well dude I can only let you know that as I work with those programme I don't have to pay for it is my company that pays the programme I whant to use( that's why I was asking if there where other programmes ..that I could use with lion insted that Illustrator and Flash!)..I know Adobe since 2005 and I can say that Adobs products are very good...I think that if it's an Adobe probleme or fault ..they will solve it very soon...but unfortunally I have the impression that after Jobs passed away Appel decided to change politics..and everything started to go very bad! (see FCP X)..
    good luck with apple dude..
Where is the Apple problem? I have CS4 and CS5 running perfectly fine on my Macbook Pro. Installed 5 after Lion upgrade. Worth every cent. Adobe did have some catching up to do with Lion but with the CS5.5 update all runs fine. But not yours. So it is a problem with the Lion OS? You say you have been with Adobe since 2005. So you would be aware of all the other issues that Adobe had catching up with past Oss in Mac and Windows then. They get it right, but it is up to them. It is not up to Apple, nor Microsoft for that matter, to run around and check that every software developer in the world is running their business properly.
And what has politics got to do with anything. Some people just have to blame Software for their poor Hardware maintainence of failure of the same.
<The only think I can really do is to go back on my old windows...give back this orrible lap top and ask for my money back!>
Great suggestion. You should go with that one, but good luck getting a refund.

  • SCCM 2012 - Creating a Collection with Limiting memebers to 5 or 10 Computers even the Memebership Query can pull 1000 members

    Dear Brothers,
I am deploying a huge application (requires 45 Minutes to Install, 3 to 5 Restarts), and I need to limit the deployment to 5 computers at a time. Limiting my Network Load and also the availability of the computers in operation as it requires a successive
    Restart.
My aim is to "Create" a "Collection" to focus on deploying the software to
5 computers at a time. The collection that limits to 5 computers can help our production environment to focus on the total deployment time without disturbing other computers.
    Regards,

I would use powershell to do this. Create a Collection with all the computers that should get the application.
Then in powershell - get all the members of that Collection into a variable. Use that variable as a basis for creating new Collection and create some logic that takes 5-10 machines and put those into a new Collection and then takes the next 5-10 machines
    and so on.
I guess you could also do it using a combination of Query and Exclude Collections membership rules, but you would have to do it manually.

  • Install Oracle 9i client on a computer with Oracle 10g Client

    Hello all!!
I'm using a computer with Oracle 10g client, and I access two databases. One server has Oracle 10g server, and the other server has Oracle 9i server.
I want to install 9i client, to have it also in my computer. I haver read that I just have to install it in a different ORACLE_HOME, but I have a doubt.
If I install 9i client, would I be able to use the utilities, (exp, expddp, sqlldr) of both versions, or which version will be used in the command line for the utilities.
    Thanks a lot!!!

To start with, Home Selector is a "9i thing" (and older), in 10g there's the OUI -> Installed Products... -> Environment tab instead.
About the 9i dbca with other Oracle products installed. If you use launch.exe to start via dbca start menu shortcut, it uses ora92\assistants\dbca as working directory ("start from"). So when not looking for "numbered dlls" like oracore9.dll, a later/different version will be loaded if earlier in path, since loading goes through jre directories, ora92\assistants\dbca, then the dir's from path variable. From there it may start to link in libraries from different homes (on my laptop, "launch.exe dbca" uses files from 2 additional home paths!)
But, if you instead use dbca.bat started from ora92\bin, it will look in the right directories first and there's no dll mess-up. (But only when using the correct cwd!)
Plain and simple: stay very far away from multiple-general-home installs. It is possible to install allright, in different homes and all very nicely, but there will be pain when you decide to use the stuff (perhaps with sql*plus as the only exception, but I've run into bugs with that too).

  • SCCM Collection Query All Clients where Advertisement not successful

    Hi
I'm trying to create a collection with a dynamic membership query.
I want only the clients on which an advertisement status is not successful.
So I can see on which clients the advertisement didn't not apply.
When I use this query, I see the clients on which the advertisement was successful:
select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.ResourceId in (select ResourceID from SMS_ClientAdvertisementStatus where AdvertisementID = "BMA20408" and LastStateName = "Succeeded")
So my idea was to set the != Succeeded
But then I have no clients in the collection.
Any Idea how I can solve that?

Hi,,sorry, but it looks like that I'm too stupid for copy and paste.
    I tried this one:
select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID not in (select SMS_ClientAdvertismentStatus.ResourceID
    from SMS_ClientAdvertisementStatus where SMS_ClientAdvertisementStatus.AdvertisementID = "P0120EFE" and SMS_ClientAdvertisementStatus.laststatusmessageID in (10021))
and always, whe I want ot save the script I got the message that there is a mistake. I'm not able to find the mistake - can please anyone help me?
    Regards

  • Create a User Collection with installed specific software

Can someone help with Query to Create a User Collection with installed specific software.
I have created a collection for Computer Collection with installed specific software but i need to push apps on users and for that i need to create a user collection with specific software installed.
    Thanks

Yes. I have created device collection with
installed specific software and used  this collection to pull report from out the box report for Primary Device users( Not sure about exact report name but similar) for
this collection. Did some excel work to find primary device user.
But looks like there is no straight forward solution. It would be great if i know how to import multiple users from a text/csv file into a User collection.
    Thanks
