Scenario of Purchasing of POTATO

Dear Gurus,
I am facing problem in the scenario Mentioend below, will be very thankful to u if u will give ur valuable comments and suggestion:
Purchasing of Potato for producing Wafers
Below Mentioned in Bold are the factors on which potato purchasing depends
Vendors :
Potatos are purchased from 2 vendors
Vendor 1
Vendor 2
Varieties of Potatoes:
A1
B1
C1
D1
LOTS :
Potatoes Comes in different Lots and has different Markas or Identification
These lots can vary from 10 to 300 which comes from vendors.
Markas or Identification of Potatoes: Marka(Identification of Lot)
Markas ranges from : SADU(Sada Potato) , A to Z
PRICE :
Price of Potatoes according to Lots and Markas also Variety is considered.
Sceanrio:
Planning person Plans for the schedule of the Potatos which are to be purchased from these 2 vendors mentioned above.
Vendor 1
Vendor 2
Planning person schedules for the weekly delivery of the potatos and he orders potatos (Telephonic) for the whole week,For the whole week days wise schedule (Morning and evening) how much potatos are to be ordered that schedule is given to vendor.
NOTE:Please note that the planning manager does not know the price of the Potatos and also he donu2019t know how many lots of which identification comes. Price of Different lots with different identification varies.
For Eg: Monday : Morning -35 tons and evening 80 Tons
Tuesday : Morning -55 tons and evening 70 Tons
Wednesday: Morning -75 tons and evening 50 Tons
u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026..
u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026.And So on .
Vendor sends Potatos against the Order with Delivery challan,
Now the Potatos Which are purchased from vendor,Let us see how vendor purchase it from farmers and how the price is quoted from vendor.
Suppose vendor 1
Who receives schedule of week as 700 tons of which daily requirement on an average is 100 tons per day out of which he sends 50 tons in morning and 50 tons in evening.
Now to meet this daily requirement of 100 Tons out of which 50 in morning and 50 in the evening
Morning demand
Lets see how he arranges this 50 Tons of Potatos from farmer.
He arranges 15 tons from 1 farmer ,Farmer puts these potatos in Jute bags Let us say these 15 tons are managed in 21 Jute Bags . (that means Lot size is 21 Bags and Variety for eg is Chip sona ). On these 21 Bags he puts some identification or MARKA ,For Eg Marka is u201COu201D
And the price that farmer quotes rates per 20 kg ,in this case for eg he has quoted Rs 180 per 20 Kg
He arranges 25 tons from 2nd farmer, Farmer puts these potatos in Jute bags Let us say these 25 tons are managed in 35 Jute Bags . (that means Lot size is 35 Bags and Variety for eg is Chip sona ). On these 35 Bags he puts some identification or MARKA ,Here the Marka is u201CAu201D
The price that farmer quotes rates per 20 kg ,in this case for eg he has quoted Rs 184 per 20 Kg
Remaining 10 tons he arranges from 3rd farmer, Farmer puts these potatos in Jute bags Let us say these 10 tons are managed in 15 Jute Bags . (that means Lot size is 15 Bags and Variety for eg is Chip sona ). On these 10 Bags he puts some identification or MARKA ,Here the Marka is u201CSADUu201D
The price that farmer quotes rates per 20 kg ,in this case for eg he has quoted Rs 178 per 20 Kg
After arranging this morning demand he sends the Potato to Client in Truck with the delivery challan
Let us see how the challan looks like:
Sr No Variety Marka(Identification of Lot) Vakkal(Lot) Wt of Vakkal(lot)
1 A1 "O" 21 15000
2 A1 "A" 35 25000
3 A1 "SADU" 15 10000
Next day Bill comes to Client in which the price details are mentioned
That means Balaji doesnu2019t know how many lots(Vakkal) of which marka will come and what will be its price.
Another thing that is to be noted about the difference between the weight of the potato reffered on the delivery challan and the actual weight :
Here in weigh Bridge the actual Weight in tons of all the Potatos are calculated.
Since in transportation the moisture content in the potatos gets reduced as per the delivery challan weight the actual weight is less.
So Vendor 1 gives Quantity discount (he picks any one Lot size and from that he just deducts the discounted quantity) and sends the invoice to Client.
Scenario is same with vendor 2 .Only the difference is in discount .
Where as Vendor 2 Gives Price Discount.
Thanking you
Shailesh M

    Hi,
You can handle some how with vendor consignment concepts and some developments ( or You can the capture the entrire data/input like vendor weigh qty, actual supplied, discount through z development and find exact qty & rate then you can create po & GR on day basis or a certian period.)

  • Scenario on Purchasing Process - Freight Charges to Different Vendor

    Hi Experts,
We have a business scenario here that we want to implement on the MM - Purchasing Process.
My Client's industry is on Selling Mixed Concrete. Every time they make Contract with Scheduling Agreements, for Raw Materials like Cement 20MM or DUST, on each available Plant from a partner company on a different location. Some of the Location are not inside the country as well.
When we do Scheduling Agreement, we do a blank quantity for example, 30,000 for 20MM on Plant A and 10,000 for 20MM on Plant B. During the creation of Schedule Lines, we key in differect schedules of delivery (incl PGR). Then by the end of the Period, we create a Vendor Invoice.
However on some delivery item, we have a scenario where from a specific Vendor A, we have a Vendor B that delivers our Materials to our Plant (Transporter Vendor). So we have to create another Invoice for them. We have to have 1 Invoice for the Supplier and 1 Invoice for the Transporter Vendor.
I understand that SAP can do 2 Vendor assignment on PO, 1 for Material Goods and 1 for Freight Charge. The Amount will sum up per Ordered Item and during PGI, the Material Cost will be based on this amount. I'm okay with the first statement but the summed amount is not okay with some scenarios.
The problem with some scenarios is that we should not base the Freight Charge on the schedule quantity. We agreed that the Quantity to be considered for Freight Charge is based on their Shipment Tonnage Agreement (which is weighed on the Vendor 2's side). Then for the Schedule Line Qty, we have to take the Average Weight from our side and from their side, and that should be the Schedule Line Qty. The Amount to be posted in PGR line item should be the amount from the Schedule Line Qty and the Freight Charge based on the Shipment Tonnage Agreement and the Material Cost will be valuated with the sum of these values. At the end of the Month, we create an Invoice for the 2 Vendors at the same time: one with Freight Charge the other on is the Stock Amount.
So for this requirement, is there a way we can add another Quantity, based on the Shipment Tonnage Agreement to calculate the Freight Charge inside, And the Transporter Vendor, in the Schedule Line Conditions to be included in the PGR?
Please suggest me configurations to do this also.
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

    Hi Cruz,
If your requirement is to bill on the monthly average basis for the freight vendor, you can create new condition type for freight based on quantity. Use the calculation type 'M' - Quantity monthly price, in conjunction with the scales and use the scale basis 'C' if the freight cost is fixed based on your shipment agreement.
If your agreement is based on no.of shipments use the scale basis 'S' - no. of shipping units.
Even if these two are not suiting use the scal basis 'G' - formula and define the calculation based on your requirement.
Once this is configured for the condition type. Then maintain the conditiona values accordingly.
    Hope this is helpful.

    Satya

  • Extended Classic Scenario - Can Purchase Requsition be created in R/3?

    Hi SRM Gurus,
In Extended Classic Scenario, Is it possible to have Purchase Req to be created in the backend?
Technically whether it is possible or not? Functionally, there is no such need, I agree.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ramkumar

    Hi
Please confirm what sceanrio in SRM are you planning for ?
I have not tried this. In Extended Classic Scenario, using BADI " BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE"    -> I guess, it's possible, but not sure. Try it out.
Purchase Order (PO) will be created in the R/3 system using the BADI -  BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE. Please read the standard documentation of this BADI, before implementing the same.

  • Scenario of Purchase, Purchase Analysis

    Hi Experts,
Required your Valuable inputs on this.
My Client has more than 5,00,000 Materials and everday he will be Raising 40 to 50 Purchase Orders for procurement of raw-materials and Each Purchase order contains more than 40 Line items.
And he purchases same material from different vendors.
1)He does not want same Line item to be procured repeated times ? that could be from different vendors His Requirement is the Line item should reflect the status of Last Ordered Date and Quantity ? How Could this scenario be mapped in SAP ?
2)Is there any Standard report related to this which could reflect the last ordered quantity with respect to Line item ?
3)And the second requirement there should be some report which should reflect the Purchased items arrival time of Goods to Plan and Schedule similarly the production of the arrival of goods ?
    Best Regards

  • A special scenario for purchasing....

    Dear Friends,
I am working on a particular scenario, but unable to solve. Please guide me on solving it.
A sales order is raised for a particular material, since the material is not available a purchase requisition is generated. Now with respect to the PR, a purchase order is created.
The catch here is that I want the plant to be changed. (for eg from ZABC to ZXYZ). I am able to change it, but the system states an error message
"Sales order item 000010 has a different plant
    Message no. V1127
    Diagnosis
You have entered the item number 000010 of a sales and distribution
document. The plant of this transaction does not correspond with plant ZXYZ of the document item."
Guide me to solve  the issue...
    Regards.....

    Dear Kailas,
I did changed the plant in Sales Order, after hee change in the SO, the PR did changed. It now has two line item.
Line Item 10 with the previous plant
Line Item 20 with the changed plant
Note: Line Item has a delete symbol
Now I tried creating a PO with reference to the PR, its adopting the deleted line item 10 with previous plant and the new one.
Can you throw some light on it.....

  • MIRO MIGO ENHANCEMENT FOR INDIAN SCENARIO - IMPORTS PURCHASE ORDERS

ENHANCEMENT IN THE MIRO ACTIVITY. IN INDIA YOU HAVE TO POST 7 CUSTOMS CONDITIONS FOR EACH ITEM. MIRO ACTIVITY IS COMPLETELY MANUAL. ALL THE 7 VALUES, QUANTITIES FOR 7 CONDITIONS ARE TO BE ENTERED. CAN THIS BE IMPROVED TO HANDLE IN A BETTER WAY.
MIGO ACTIVITY FOR MANUFACTURING SCENARIO THE EXCISE VALUES ARE SET OFF WHICH ARE RETRIEVED BUT FOR TRADING SCENARIO WHERE THE EXCISE CONDITIONS ARE CUSTOMISED [ZCV1, ZEC1, ZEC2, ZAD1] TO LOAD ON INVENTORY THE EXCISE VALUES ARE TO BE ENTERED. CAN THIS ACTIVITY BE ENHANCED SO THAT THESE VALUES COME DIRECTLY FROM THE MIRO FOR DUTY POSTINGS WHERE ALL THE VALUES ARE ENTERED
    BEST REGARDS
    PANKAJ

    Hi,
In a normal import process, before the goods receipt, you are making invoice verification for Customs using MIRO and using Planned delivery costs as an option.
As the goods receipts doesn't exist, system is not proposing Customs conditions
As the goods receipts quantity is unknown and there always a possibility of partial invoice verification for the customs, system will not directly populate the values in MIRO.
Doing enhancements to populate this values may not be needed. Pls convince the user on the import process.
Any other option available for that, really dont know
    Thanks

    Hi,
I have imported IDoc type ORDERS05 for Message Type ORDERS in XI 7.0 & i have created the IDOC to File Scenario for Purchase Order & activated all the objects.
Now in SAP ECC 6.0, i have created a purchase order using ME21N. No idocs created. Let me know the steps to send that PO. Which T.Code & what entries to follow...

    Hi,
You would need to configure the data distribution model, activate change pointers, create your partner profiles and rfc connections.
    Then do your XI Config.

  • Centralised Purchasing Scenario but decentralised GR and IV.

    Hi,
We've a scenario where certain items are procured centrally for all the locations across India. Purchase price, vendor etc. are finalised by Corporate office. Corporate office raise the PO but goods are delivered to various storage locations across India and each location books inventory in their accounts. Quality inspection is also done at receiving location and same location also process the vendor invoice. Payment to the vendor is also made at the location where goods were received.
We're planning to have multiple company codes i.e. Corporate office will be one company code and other units will be company code as well.
I think if we raise a PO and at item level, enter Plant of another company code.. cross company code purchasing scenario can be managed. Does this work and if yes, any specific configuration required.
In summary, the scenario is, Purchase order will be created by one company code (may be header) where as GR and IV shall be done by different company codes. Please suggest how standard SAP works in such cases.
    Regards
    Vivek

this works pretty well. In customizing you have to take care that you do not assign the purchasing org to a company code, instead you have to assign it to plants to make this happen.
The delivery adress is taken from the plant mentioned in the PO item (or even from the storage location if it has an address), but you have to state in the form to where the vendor has to send the invoice if IV is done decentralized.

  • Inspection before GR against purchase order

    Dear friends,
    We have the following scenario.
Purchase order item of 100 Tons.
The material will be received in a truck of 20 T.  So there will be 5 trucks coming for the same purchase order.
Now we want to check the truck before it enters into our premises (before GR). If the material is ok, I will do GR and if not ok, will send the material back. I want to record these quality results of outside testing into the system.
I know by source inspection, I can record the results for a Purchase order before I receive (GR) the material. But in this case I require to record the results 5 times or more against the same purchase order item.
Is it possible and how to configure this scenario?
    TIA
    Regards,
    Avinash

    Hi

Is it possible and how to configure this scenario?
Yes sorce inspection it is possible to configure this scenario but when PO of 100 will be created
immediatly lot in QA07 you will have to create.
here problem is that system will not consider it as 5 lots.so whatever rejection you have can not be done in source inspection,as it is not stock relevent(partial posting not possible)
so don't think about source inspection.
Best way as per my knowledge you can create a manual lot of 89 or 01 inspection type.
then carry out result recoding & defect recording. This lot you can only create when rejection is there.
If no rejection found you can use GR process.
I hope this will add some value

  • How to Configure Multiple Purchase Requisitions per Service Order

    Hi experts!
Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I was wondering how I can configure multiple Purchase Requisitions to be created from a service or maintenance order (IW31) based on the control key (or if it's even possible).
What would be the pros and cons of doing this?  We currently only have one PR being created for one order (a 1-to-1 relationship), however now with implementing external services, we want 2 or more PRs created based on the control key.  Is the control key the best way to go, or should I be looking at a different deciding field?
    Thanks in advance!
    Stephanie

    Raj,
Thank you so much for the information.  That does help!  However business requirements are now changing to have different Purchase Requisitions created for a single order in the following scenarios:
                 - New Purchase Req created for different operations (you explained how above, perfect!)
                 - Seperate Purchase Req created for non-stock items (your answer above seems to group service operations and non-stock into the same Purchase Req).
                 - New Purchase Req created if the order has already been released.  (If the order's status is still at "Create", then the additional component can be appended to the existing Purchase Req.  If the order's status is "Released", and a new component is added, a new Purchase Req is created).
As mentioned, you explained how to do the first requirement.  Is there anyway SAP can handle the next two requirements using standard config and not customizing anything?
    Thanks in advance!
    Steph

  • Classic scenario - goods receipt in SRM

    Hi,
I've seen on a business scenario document of SAP that even in the classic scenario it's possible to execute goods receipt by the requester in SRM. My question is: if in classic scenario the purchase order is created on R/3, how can the requester create goods a receipt in SRM for a specific PO? Does SRM get data (items, supplier, etc.) from a R/3 PO in the creation of a goods receipt document?
    Regards,
    Cristiano Soares

    HI SRM GURU
We are implementing SRM 4.0 and follow a classic scenarios.
While creating a shoping cart the approval of Shopping cart is based on various attributes like
Material Group + Cost Center  + Value .
Can I change the standard workflow conditions and add new conditions like material Group and cost centers.
So that when I create a Shopping cart and change the cost center in the shopping cart, it goes to the head of the new cost center(for Approval) which is manually entered in the shopping cart.
Can this control be achived through the Org plan attributes.
