Screen Freeze until Data loading

Hi,
I am new to Flex. I devloped an application which will get Data from SAP xMII Query templates and load it in datagrid via HTTP Service.
The problem is on sometimes when it is getting slow to fetch the data and in Datagrid it is showing as empty grid. If we refresh the screen 2 to 3 times, it will get loaded.
I want to freeze the screen until the Datagrid is loaded. After it is loaded only, i want to show the screen.
How to do this?

Try enabling showbusycursor in httpservice definition and disable
or enable the application using
this.enabled by checking if cursor is busy. We can check this using cursormanager.

OS is loaded and running but screen freezes on the loading screen

My laptop is freezeing on the loading screen but the os is loaded and running. I know this because i was able to use command keys to open itunes and play music. At first i thought it was the hard drive so i replaced it and i am still having the same problems. I'm stumped, can anyone help me?

You could do that from the "gray boot screen?" Didn't know that was even possible!
Disconnect all devices from your computer and do the following:
Boot up from your install DVD and run *"Repair Disk"* from the Utility menu. If you are able to reach the desktop after doing the above, repair permissions and restart your computer afterwards.

Neo 2 Plat Windows loading screen freeze

Hello all,
I have a little problem with my MSI Neo 2 Plat. I have a FX-53 + a 5900 Ultra. Everything works flawlessly beside one point.
Sometimes, when I boot/reboot, the screen freezes on Windows loading screen. It only happens like one time out of 10. But when it happens I have to reboot then I get the safe mode selection screen. It's not a major issue but it's a bit annoying. Anyone experienced something like that ? Would it be caused by video card ? I thought about a ram issue but after memchecks and torture tests with Prime95, I found no error !

Data load times

Hi,
I have a question regarding data loads. We have a process cahin which includes 3 ods and cube.
Basically ODS A gets loaded from R/3 and the from ODS A it then loads into 2 other ODS B, ODS C and CUBE A.
So when I went to monitor screen of this load ODS A-> ODS B,ODS C,CUBE A. The total time shows as 24 minutes.
We have some other steps in process chain where ODS B-> ODS C, ODS C- CUBE 1.
When I go the monitor screen of these data loads the total time the tortal time for data loads show as 40 minutes.
I *am suprised because the total run time for the chain itself is 40 minutes where in the chain it incclude data extraction form R/3 and ODS's Activations...indexex....

I am not asking like which steps needed to be included in which chain.
My question is when look at the process chain run time it says the total time is equal to 40 minutes and when you go RSMO to check the time taken for data load from ODS----> 3 other data targets it is showing 40 minutes.
The process chain also includes ods activation buliding indexex,extracting data from R/3.
So what are times we see when you click on a step in process chain and displaying messages and what is time you see in RSMO.
Let's take a example:
In Process chain A- there is step LOAD DATA- from ODS A----> ODS B,ODS C,Cube A.
When I right click on the display messages for successful load it shows all the messages like
Job started.....
Job ended.....
The total time here it shows 15 minutes.
when I go to RSMO for same step it shows 30 mintues....
I am confused....
Please help me???

Does the ext directory have the php_oci8.dll? In the original steps the PHP dir is renamed. In the given php.in the extension_dir looks like it has been updated correctly. Since PHP distributes php_oci8.dll by default I reckon there would be a very good chance that the problem was somewhere else. Since this is an old thread I don't think we'll get much value from speculation.

Itunes screen freezes when trying to load songs in new ipod shuffle

I just bought an ipod shuffle for my mother but when I try to load songs from itunes, the screen just seems to freeze until I disconnect shuffle.
I tried to restore it but it doesn't work ("error 1418" is all I can get).
I don't understand why since I have no problem with my ipod nano on the same computer.

Be sure to use a rear port on your Shuffle, it needs full power to work.

AppleTV freezes until 'screensaver' is started. Then it loads media.

I have a MacBook Pro attached via Firewire 800 to a 2 TB external hard drive. Apple Airport Express extending signal to and Apple Airport Extreme router. AppleTV is streaming media. All systems 100% up to date.
Everytime I start my AppleTV, it shows the movies/music/tvshows initially and while i'm scrolling through it then freezes until the 'screensaver' (currently my MobileMe pictures) turns on. Once this happens, the media is loaded and i can resume scrolling or playing my media. It usually happens only once during my AppleTV session.
Is this because the cache in ATV is low or my home network is feeding too much data across too many 'systems'? I've tried connecting the external hard drive directly to the Airport Extreme router but it still freezes until the screensaver turns on.

My guess is the screensaver part is not relevant (could be wrong though). Since this happens after you start your tv I suspect it is merely updating it's library during which time it becomes a little unresponsive. perhaps the time your library takes to update is approximately the same amount of time before the screensaver appears (or perhaps the screensaver doesn't start until the unresponsive period is over).

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

Adobe Captivate 5 Not Opening - Loading Screen Freezes

Hello - I just installed eLearning Suite 2 and cannot open Adobe Captivate on a Windows 7 machine.All other eLearning Suite 2 programs launch and run, but Captivate freezes on the "Loading..." screen at open and will not proceed any further.
I have previously used Captivate 4 with no errors. I meet the system requirements and have plenty of open disk space.
I have tried running as admin, restarting my machine, disconnecting from my work network at startup and clearing the user preferences. None of those helped.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Standard troubleshooting from the manual: Try in sequence until problem is solved
Restart.
Reset. (Hold down those buttons not for ten seconds but until the Apple logo shows)
Restore from a backup.
Restore as new.
Take it to Apple.

Have you looked at any possible involvement of the antivirus program in the way of recent updates for it? Recent Windows Updates? Can we assumed that you have not added, subtracted any programs that would coincide with the onset of the issue?
Have you checked to make sure that your video card is up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the video card?
Recently, with Premiere Elements 10 and NVIDIA video card, answers have come from rolling back the driver.
I guess you tried the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file deletion. But, did you try deleting the whole 9.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists?
Do you have the Premiere Elements 9 installation disc for installations files in case a deactivation, uninstall, run through of ccleaner, reinstall is indicated?
But, let me backup for a moment. Is this issue confined to one previously created project or to all your Premiere Elements projects either new or old?
Let us start here and then move forward according to your answers.

Add On...Usual...confirm that you have the latest version of QuickTime installed, you are running the program as the 9.0.1 Update, and you are running the program Run As Administrator or from a User Account with Administrative Privileges.

Deactivate a button until date is fully loaded

HI,
Can anyone help me in checking whether the data is completely loaded in a jsp page. In my application I have to disable a button till a list is completely loaded but I'm not getting how to check for data load.

When you write JSP, it compiles into a web page before it is served to the client. Therefore, there are only two possible situations:
1) The data is loaded to your jsp before you serve the page, in which case, the button can't possibly be active, because the page isn't served (i.e. the data is available to you when you construct the page, and you embed that data into the jsp, instead of letting the client load it from elsewhere.
2) The data is loaded by the client after you serve the page, in which case, controlling the behavior of the button must be done on the client side (unless you're doing something like ajax). Therefore, you won't be using Java to do it. You'll want to look into what various forms of dynamic HTML can do for you (i.e. javascript, or active x).

When I go to a website, it half-way downloads and then the screen freezes for 10-20 seconds while ads appear; this never happened till recently.

Until recently, I loved Firefox. Lately, when I go to any website and try to download a page, the screen freezes for between 10-20 seconds while ads load. Why the screen freezes is both frustrating and annoying. I have the latest version, nothing on my computer is different, and as I said, it didn't used to do this. Any ideas what's going on?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
