hi.
Please help me with this.
How do i set the default value of 'X' in screen for the checkbox. I want the checkbox to be checked when user goes to
that transaction.
Please provide detailed explanation.

YOu have to do it int PBO of the creen.
" Flow Logic
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE SET_CHECK.
" In Se38
MODULE SET_CHECK.
" If the field name is check box.
CHECK = 'X'.
ENDMODULE SET_CHECK.

here are two simle ways to do it.
first as parameters with only display, second as comment in selection screen.
PARAMETERS: P_UNAME LIKE SY-UNAME MODIF ID DSP DEFAULT SY-UNAME.
PARAMETERS: P_DATUM LIKE SY-DATUM MODIF ID DSP DEFAULT SY-DATUM.
PARAMETERS: P_UZEIT LIKE SY-UZEIT MODIF ID DSP DEFAULT SY-UZEIT.

How to set default value to the variable !!!

Experts,
I have created a variable ZDATE, which is in variable entry screen of the query. and this variable is mendatory .
Now, i want to put default value of this variable ( Which can be done from the Variable Properties screen , on the Default Values Tab )
But , thru there i can only put selected value. my requirement is to show system date - 1 ( Previous date )
how do i get that ?

You would need to write a variable exit under I_STEP = 1 to get the previous day populated on your variable screen.

Set Default Values in Listbox with Dialog Programming

Hi all,
I am stuck with a problem i.e I am working with Dialog Programming Screen
where i have to set default values in some n numbers of Listbox which i have created on Screen.
This default value is needed to be fetched from database table.
I am using single table. Hence no confusion that i have to first fetch data from 1st listbox then corresponding data is fetched into second & so on ..NO NO This is not required.
Simple one screen which will update a table in database, where some fields on the screen needs to be default set as per tables domain default values set while table creation.
Please help me out in this.

Select options default value and execute

Hello,
I managed to fill my select options default value. But what I also want is that the user does not have to press the execute button when the screen is shown at the first time. I would like to show the result screen for these default values at the same time the screen is shown first.
I tried in WDDOINIT:
data: l_ref_interfacecontroller type ref to iwci_wdr_select_options .
l_ref_interfacecontroller =   wd_this->wd_cpifc_select_options( ).
l_ref_interfacecontroller->execute(
but this coding only works when the select-option screen was shown the first time.
Any ideas?

How to create dropwdown list box values and checkbox in screen painter.

Hi Experts,
I need to know the creation of dropdown list box values and the checkbox to use in screen painter.
I have 3 values to insert as:-
INR,USD,EUR
if user selects INR/USD/EUR, then it will store into the table field.
And also want to know the checkbox functioning in screen painter, i.e. what should we write in PBO/PAI.
I have found some sites to get knowledge, but didnot found anything that relates to my questions.
So please help me!

For dropdown list box in Screen create a input field and choose Drop down by index.
To populate the values write the logic in PBO as follows
TYPE-POOLS : VRM
DATA : field_id TYPE VRM_ID ,
            values TYPE VRM_VALUES,
             value   LIKE LINE OF values.
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT
MODULE list_fill_100
MODULE list_fill_100 OUTPUT
SELECT f1 f2 f3 FROM tab WHERE condition.

APPEND value TO VALUES

To set default values for screen painter parameters initialize the field names with default values in the PBO module....
say u have the field name as f_field1....
in the PBO of that screen initialize it....
f_field1 = '100' "here 100 is the default value.

I'm making one report program in which im calling one screen which i have designed, in my selection screen there is a select option for customer tht accepts value range now i want to select all the customers entered in select options and pass these values in screen(screen painter).
pls guide me how this can be done.

Screen painter is a tool in ABAP dev workbench used to create the screens using the
T-code SE51. In the screen painter, you can define the following interface elements with their associated attributes.
1. Input/Output Fields

Create a Z program in tcode SE38.
Go to transaction SE51.
Enter the created program name and screen number.
Click on flowlogic tab.

Checkbox convertion problem in screen painter

Hi experts,
I would like to convert an field from DD char 1 in checkbox in the screen painter but the field is locked in my screen painter. I can't conert it to checkbox or radiobutton.
-> The field is from an enhancement of an standard IT.
Is their some option to unlock field in the screen painter ?

first check u are declare text boxes in TOP INCLUDE if OK, then change data type text to integer. it may be problem of it, can u post u r code where u assigned a value in text box.

check if the screen fields in screen painter has the same names or not??
if not create a internal table in top include or directly put the fields from database into the screen fields.
it will solve your problem.

Go to SE36 (logical database Builder).First enter PNPCE in Logical Database and press documentation,here you will get the details of exactly what is PNPCE and how it works.After that select selections in subojects in se36 only and enter display ,there you have the include from where you acn get the idea.

you can use the function module SELECT_OPTIONS_RESTRICT .
This function module simplifies the handling of SELECT-OPTIONS on the selection screen by restricting possible selection options and signs.
By calling this function module, you can restrict the number of selectio options available for the chosen selection field. You can also disable the function allowing users to enter values to be excluded from the selection (SIGN = 'E').
