Script to load documents in KM Repository DB mode

Is there any good documentation on writing a script to load documents into a KM repository that is set up in DB mode?
In the past we had this repository as an FSDB and we could create scripts to upload to the file system. Now in DB mode we need to do the same.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of a script that allows for you to place all pdfs within a set date range from a folder into an InDesign document? I am looking to do my monthly report and each month I have to go out and get each one, would be nice to load the place tool with all the pdfs I have done with a set date range and then just place them accordingly. Is there something out there like this and/or am I missing something obvious?

IM Sorry tomaxxi, am I suppose to be inputting something somewhere here in
regard to the dates? I would need an example like for lets say the month of
Nov. I try to paste this and save it in the script editor but it keep
saying that the file cannot be saved. Any ideas? Please bear in mind your
speaking to a guy who has like zero knowledge when it comes to scripts.

I just tested script and it's working fine for me here.
I created 4 sample PDF-s with just one page, then started script,
selected exported PDF-s, script sorts them by creation date and loads
placegun.
So, all you need to do, is to start script and select documents you want to
place.
I changed script little, so make sure you use this one:

Loading documents and attaching them to business objects

Hi,
I am trying to load documents (Word and PDF files) into a content management server linked to a SAP CRM system. The documents need to be attached to business objects such as interaction records (BUS2000126) and service tickets (BUS2000116).
I have experimented with FMs BDS_BUSINESSDOCUMENT_CREATEF and ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT but haven't yet found the right combination of values. The best I have done is to create a link which is visible in the GUI as an icon, but when I double click on it, I get an error message saying that the document does not exist (error 404).
The import parameters I am using in BDS_BUSINESSDOCUMENT_CREATEF are:

CLASSNAME = ZCSIP_LTR (a value from table TOADV)

Yes I tried it at first with Script Item but it did not work. I am not sure how should I change the path because of the portal:
"/sap/bw/Mime/Customer/.../file.htm" - this path is not working anymore
Another option that you mentioned I do not want to use. I have about 20 different html files in MIME repository so I would have to create 20 different web application. I do not like this solution.

Loading xml instances into repository

Hello,
I have successfully registered an xml schema document at the XML DB repository. A table had been created and the storage is object-relational.
Now I want to load XML instances of the registered schema into the repository using WebDAV or HTTP. How can I tell the repository that these XML documents are schema instances and that they should be rows of the created table?

Lars,
Since no one else has answered this inquiry, I'll give you my opinion. You will need to add the namespace to the XML document when loading it into the repository. This way the XMLDB engine will know where the document needs to go to get shredded.
I've had trouble when using the drag and drop of WebDav to load up .xml docs into a registered schema. It was easier for me to use the directory entry pointer and load them up to the XMLDB that way. It may have been my expierence only though.

Using Scripts to detect document size in inches?

Is it possible that a script detects the document size in inches not in pixels?

The size an Image will print is a simple calulation the numbet of Pixel Wide Devided by the imageg current DPI resolution. And numbet of Pixel High Devided by the imageg current DPI resolution. You can always change the DPI while maintaining the same number of pizels using Image Size with resample NOT checked to change the image's print size. All the information can be retrived in a script and the script can change the image's print size with or without resampling the image.

Can you please help us understand the reason why the child.runstatustimertask.run() is called in the case where we get the failure. Because upon noticing the difference in the steps of execution I see that this method is called and after that the failure is occuring.
Also, few other findings are that :
1. The error occurs from both the nodes adaptive job servers randomly.
2. The IFRS and OFRS of one of the node is not being used at all for any file transfers (though the configurations are exactly same).
Please advise and help us get rid of the said error.

XML Load Document in EXE does not run

LV 8.0 (or 8.01).
This has got to be a trivial installation problem. I wrote a simple VI that reads in an XML file using the XML Load Document vi. It runs like a charm. I then built an exe. Loading the exe results in the following set of errors:
Unable to Locate Component
This application has failed to start because xerces-c_2_2_0.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
This is then followed by:
LabVIEW: Resource File not found
The file 'DOMUserDefRef.dll' is not a valid LabVIEW file
As it turns out, I just received my 8.01 CDs, so why not? I installed the upgrade, repaired the internet toolkit, sprinkled some distilled water on my keyboard, but the problem did not go away. I then un-installed ALL of LabView, re-installed 8.00, did the hokey pokey, problem is still there.
Am I missing some vital step? If so, I would love to find out where this is documented.
I've reduced the problem to just having the XML Load Document vi connected to the Close Reference VI. See the attached VI.

The XML Load Document is part of the XML ToolKit - that comes with the Internet Toolkit from NI. I'm not sure how I can post NI's toolkits here. They are available in the Toolkit CD (part of the Professional Suite). (I tried to get a screen shot in here - can't even do that!).
I'll attach a sample XML Doc I've created. It is created by parsing the LVPROJ file in order to find all the dynamic VI's. I'll build one based on a very simple demo project and attach it here. I was able to parse most of it by using the get tag method, but when I went to use the get value - that would always return a blank string - so I gave up, found an example using the internet toolkit - and off I went.
I do have a workaround (not too elegant) - I create a simple text file each time I write the XML file. I then read the txt file from within the EXE.

when i assign the permission of read to a file of ms word or other file or document in km repository when i assign km navigation iview to other user.he or she is able to read,saveas the file which i give to that user in km repository but my problem is that i just want that user just see the file but not saveas the file. Is there any facility for that in portal to just see the document or file not save as well as save as to the file

Hi Mousam,
This is a KM functionality. When you open any document on any of the repository, the document opens on the client.
So it takes and behaves as other standard documents on the client.
I really dont know a way to hide this functionality in KM, if the user has read access.

Which method is ideal to transfer Java scripts from old documents to new ones?

I have at least eight different single pages with specific java scripts and have these options:
Copying from the «all edit java scripts» the whole piece to paste into the same window in the new Acrobat document (sometimes some fields lost function).
Copying the specific java script located in «Document java scripts» i into the same window in the new Acrobat document , also with problems.
Insert the specific page with a java script into the new one Acrobat document. This method has been perfect for the moment although I don't know if it is just orthodox enough to avoid conflicts in the future.

!. Not recommended, you will pull all including fields, and document actions as well as overwrite existing form field and document actions.
2. Possible but could be time consuming.
3. Best choice. I would look at inserting a blank page into the PDF with the code, copy any fields with script to the blank page, save the file and then extract the inserted page. The page will also pickup the document actions and document level JavaScripts.
Another option would be creating an FDF file to add the document level code and actions to a PDF.
