Script to "Reset size" for all images in a RoboHelp project

New UI. Quick fix to pull new screenshots is hampered by the size constraints of graphics.
Is there a (third party or built in) script that will reset size for all the images in a RoboHelp HTML project?
RH8, RoboHelpHTML bulished as WebHelp.
PS the filter in Adobe Forums doesn't allow me to limit the search to RoboHelp HTML and WebHelp; I don't have any other Adobe products, so all the hits don't apply.

Thanks for this script!
What needs to be done to convert a .jsx into an .exe executable that I can add to the RH Toolbox (pod) and run it in a project on my terms, rather than import into the project so it runs (whenever I compile?)
What is the ReSize tool for that already exists in the toolbox?

  • How can I make Preview open to actual size for all images?

    In Snow Leopard, Preview open all images actual size. In Mountain Lion, vertical images (and all images larger than the screen) fit to the screen and I have to use the keyboard command to see actual size. What happened, and is there any way to fix this?

    Open a PDF in Preview. Now, right-click on the toolbar and select Customize Toolbar ...
    Drag the circled items from the customize panel to your toolbar and release there.
    Click the middle button in the Zoom panel. The Scale will report 100%.
    Your future Preview documents will open at 100% now.

    Do I need to export multiple sizes for all standard print sizes? i.e.Say I crop the image in LR to 6'5" x 9' to fit within an 11" x 14" (overall) mat of a framed print.. Now let's say I want to reprint that same image in a 12" x 16" size ... to fit within a mat of with overall size of 20" x 24"? Or will the 1st export be "locked" at 6.5" X 9" (proportionately)?

    So, for the first one Export it cropped to 6.5 x 9 - and in the Export Dialog box there is a capability to rename the file for exported output - which would allow you to add something like the crop or intention to the base name of the file.  e.g. for _IMG0846.nef - setup the output filename to _IMG0846-65x9 for 11x14.jpg and output it at, say 300 or 360 dpi.  So, it has a unique name and purpose in your output folder.
    For best results, now, re-crop the picture in LR - just open the crop [R] dialog again, reframe the image to the new ratio, 12x16 and Export again - with an adjustment to the filename. e.g. _IMG0846-12x16 for 20x24.jpg
    So, now you have two clearly identified image files in your output area and you can provide those to whomever is printing for you, etc.  Discard them when you're done since you always have the original to return to to re-frame again as necessary.
    This way you get output sharpening and resolution (in pixels) optimized for your output print size.  Maybe not super important for smallish prints-but more important for larger ones.   Output at 100 quality.

  • What is the Search for:-  All images/All documents/all movies for in Finder

    I am confused as to the purpose of Search for:- All images/documents/movies in Finder. I seem to have documents, pictures and music I have never seen or downloaded, and often photos I have actually downloaded are copied in triplicate sometimes more. I have at times got 10,000 items in my documents in Search for? My worry really is does this all take up memory on my computer and if so why is it happening and how do I stop it?
    I do hope someone can explain the purpose of the Search For?
    Jai309

    Thanks Kappy, I had thought that is what it probably was but just confused by all the items I never searched for or downloaded. Now that I know it doesn't take up any memory I shan't worry about it. When I deleted everything from the search for files all the photos in my iphoto and documents were also removed. (thankfully I always have my stuff backed up on hard drive) I guess one just shouldn't remove them? Is there a safe way to clear it out without loosing the stuff I need to keep?

    I work on the CompactRIO 9068 that the password is lost for some time.
    Please  help me to  reset it, for finish my end of study project.
    Thank you,

    but the page of ni support does not work:
    https://sine.ni.com/srm/app/newrequest
    and I have the recovery.cfg file from NI with this steps :
    1.        Copy the recovery.cfg file, found in the zip folder attached at the bottom of the email, to the thumb drive.
    2.        With the cRIO device powered off, plug in the USB drive to the controller.
    3.        Hold down the reset button while powering on the controller.  Continue holding the reset button until the status light turns on, then release the reset button.
    4.        Wait for the controller to boot.  This should take less than a minute.
    5.        Check that the password has been reset to the default. (you will still be prompted for a password even if the default is blank)
    6.        Reinstall software to the controller. Using the USB reset will leave the system in a state where it is unable to run LVRT
      I have followed the procedure as mentioned
    Result: the LED "Status" is permanently blinking.
    Would you please provide as with another alternative so that we can fix this issue.

  • Right-click - "Reset Size" for images broken

    If I create an image and insert it onto the page, then go back and re-size the image in Photoshop, come back to the page and right click on the image I can choose "reset size" which used to correct the height and width of the image to the new size.
    Now, with CC 2014.1 when I try it, it deletes the width entirely from the code and doesn't change the height at all.
    This is broken!

    File a bug report where it will be logged and seen by the engineers.

  • Error when running script to reset size - bad argument gettokenmanager

    Hello,
    I use RoboHelp HTML 8 (currently on 8.0.2.208) and have a project with a number of user interface images that are going to be translated. The translated images will likely be of different size, so I need to have a fast way of reseting all the image sizes in my project.
    I discovered Chasnikov's script "reset all images" on the thread:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/2128583#2128583
    which seems just perfect for my situation.
    Not wanting to test this on my real project, I made a copy in a different location and tested out the script. The script ran for a while, but then abruptly ended with the following message:
    Bad argument getTokenManager
    In looking at the output window it seemed like it stopped in the middle of a topic after going through a number of topics. For my test situation, I only replaced a few graphics in a few topics and when I checked this limited sample, they all seemed to be correctly resized.
    However, my concern is that if I use this script in my real project, it won't actually resize all of the images.
    Any ideas why the script is terminating abruptly?
    By the way, I did find a similar question about this error message in the thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/2551147
    however, the solution to add the line msg(filepath); to the script resulted in another error -- RH did not recognize 'msg' as a valid command.
    Thanks, Rose

    Thanks Willam for the advice. In the meantime I realized that there was something wrong with my project--because the word count script also gave me the same error message -- so I ran it on another version of the project and it was just fine.
    There are two questions that your response brings to mind:
    1. How are you able to see the line numbers in the script?  When I edit the script, it opens in Notepad and I can't turn on line numbers. I have discovered, that if I have word wrap off, I can use Goto and specifiy a line number to go to.  Are you using a different text editor?
    2. The reset size script doesn't announce that it is finished.  It just seems to stop displaying things in the output window, but it doesn't give me a message to say it has finished.  Can you recommend some code I could add to the reset size script to output that it has finished processing sucessfully?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Create hyperlink for all images

    Hello everyone,
    I am new to scripting, but I am assuming my current task needs some scripting.
    I have a catalog laid out in InDesign.  It is about 250 pages and each page has about 10 image so there are about 2500 images.  The way I have them laid out is each image is placed inside a frame.  Now, I need to hyperlink each image to an external web site.  For example, for an image whose name is (12345.jpg), the hyperlink will be "https://www.testabc.com/productdetails.aspx?itemnum=12345".  Similarly if the next item is 67890, then the hyperlink would need to be "https://www.testabc.com/productdetails.aspx?itemnum=67890".  All images are linked to a folder on the computer.
    Can you please suggest how best to write and run this script.  Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    I can't test the script at the moment, but looking at it, I do notice that the entire for loop is within a try-catch. That means that if it encounters an error, it stops processing any more graphics. There may be a good reason for this, but I think you could just move the try-catch into the for loop, so it can catch any individual linking error without stopping completely. Something like this:
    var myDoc = app.activeDocument;
    var  myGr = app.activeDocument.allGraphics;
    alert(myGr.length)
        for(i=0; i<myGr.length; i++)
          try{
            var myGrName = String(myGr[i].itemLink.name);
            var mySplitName = myGrName.split(".")[0];
            app.select(myGr[i].parent)
            myHyperlinkPageItemSource =  app.activeDocument.hyperlinkPageItemSources.add(app.selection[0])
            var myHyperlinkURLDestination = app.activeDocument.hyperlinkURLDestinations.add("https://www.testabc.com/productdetails.aspx?itemnum=" + String(mySplitName)));
            var myHyperlink = app.activeDocument.hyperlinks.add(myHyperlinkPageItemSource, myHyperlinkURLDestination, {name: "https://www.testabc.com/productdetails.aspx?itemnum=" + String(mySplitName)})
            } catch(e){}
    alert("Process Completed")
    The forum's syntax highlighting is giving me a hard time, but I would probably throw an "alert(myGrName)" into those catch brackets so you can begin to try to figure out where it's erroring out (if that is indeed the problem).
    Another thought is that, if there's a chance of multiple images with the same number, you might want to have your hyperlinkURLDestination check for an already existing destination before adding a new one.

  • Image size for LOCAL images

    Is there still a size limit for the ZMG file for local images (not network
    installations)? I have a ZMG that is 2.17g that works fine using the
    network but I get the error message "end of archive" when using a dvd with
    that same image. I found several messages from last year that indicate
    that the zmg can not be greater than 2 gig for local installations. Is
    that still true? I am going to have to span my media?

  • Most Practical Size For Multiple Images on Slideshows

    Dear All,
    I'm creating a DVD that contains thousands of images on as slideshows. I've imported only a few hundred images and already Encore seems to be struggling with the file size of these pictures. I have lots of memory on my computer so I'm guessing I need to batch re-size all of my photos before importing them into the programme.
    Can anyone tell me a typical file size for images if I were to be using alot of them. A file size so that I don't loose any of the quality and that won't slow down the project too much?
    Kind Regards,
    Jonny

    Your images need to be 720x480 for NTSC or 720x576 for PAL, but that is with non-square pixels. They will be encoded to MPEG I-frames (similar to JPEG compression) by Encore.
    Since most images are created with square pixels, you should resize to 720x534 for NTSC or 768x576 for PAL. The dpi is insignificant as it is the pixel dimensions that are important. Set it to 72 dpi for ease of viewing on the computer. If you save in an uncompressed image format such as bitmap, each image will be a little bit over 1 MB. If you save as JPEGs, they will be significantly smaller. If you do choose JPEG, make sure to set the quality high enough so that your images don't look degraded.
    Edit: This is of course assuming that your images are in the 4:3 aspect ratio. If they are not, just use the dimensions I gave as an upper limit and Encore will frame the picture in black.

  • I'm new to Mac's and I find the display's just slightly too small. I'd like to increase the size for all my program. Is there a single setting that I can change?

    I'm new to Mac's and I find the display's just slightly too small. I'd like to increase the size of my display for all my programs. Is there a single setting that I can change as a default setting?

    You can drop the resolution a little, but it makes everything blurry.
    OS X isn't as friendly like Windows is to give some UI adjustment, one of many major complaints about the platform that has gone unheeded for years now.
    As a lifelong Mac user who's eyes are going due to age, I'm really liking Windows 7 more and more every day.
    If you use Firefox, NoSquint and Theme Font & Size Changer add-ons, with a nice persona that makes better contrast, tweak the FF toolbars, you can at least make your web surfing tolerable on Mac's.
    Also you can set a Control key in System Preferences > Universal Access plus a scroll wheel mouse, if you need to zoom in/out certain areas of OS X, however for a pernament UI scale solution there is none that's practical, unless you have a large room, a projector and a smooth wall.
    A larger monitor won't work up close neither, however dropping the resolution and sitting back a bit might sharpen the images a bit.
    The UI really needs to be adjustable and it's not.

  • Set the default size for all archive mailboxes including the ones it will be created in the future

    Hi there.
    We are in the phase where we Will enable Online Archive for all the users.
    We see that the default Archiving Quota is set up for 50 GB. We have found this powershell command on MsTechnet forum
    Get-Mailbox -resultsize unlimited | where {$_.ArchiveDatabase -ne $null} | set-mailbox -ArchiveQuota 7GB -ArchiveWarningQuota 6GB
    which I guess it will set up the ArchiveQuota to 7GB to all the users, true?
    The question is if this command will work only for those users who currently have archiving enabled or it Will also work for those users which we are planing to enable archiving in the future?
    The idea is that everyone would not have 50GB by default and this should be a default value also for those who currently do not have archiving enabled.
    with best regards,
    bostjanc

    Hi there.
    I don't quite get it.
    I have created "for example" a database called: STH ARCHIVE.
    Then if I take look on properties of this database this is how it's shown:
    And now here comes the "tricky part" which is a little bit odd to me.
    I have enabled archive on my mailbox and selected this STH ARCHIVE DB to hold this archive mailbox.
    Then I have manually ran ManagedFolderAssistant for my account: Start-ManagedFolderAssistant -Identity "my-email-address"
    And after I have greped the size of my mailbox:
    Get-Mailbox | Get-MailboxStatistics -Archive | Sort totalitemsize -desc | ft displayname,totalitemsize, itemcount >C:\report-archive-database-mailboxes.txt
    And get the result:
    Personal Archive - MYUSERNAME
    TotalItemSize: 4.071 GB (4,371,586,689 bytes)
    ItemCount: 55227
    So now I don't understand how I was able to go thru that sizes which are in the upper print screen of archive DB properties?

  • Develop: One Step back for all images?

    Hi
    I wonder how you solve this problem: often I am in a situation, where I want to apply one or two settings to all images - but only temporarily...then I would like to go back to the previous state... applied to all images with one click.
    for example: I create a slideshow, but don't develop every single image for that...so I apply a lot of saturation and some sharpening to all images ... or check out how all images look in b&W.... after that I want to return to previous state of the image as easy as possible.(which all have different develop-settings already??)
    I tried: change one image...then mark all...synchronize... but how can I get back to the previous state of the image (which all have different develop-settings already??)
    would appreciate help
    Phil

    Select all, create a new collection with the virtual copy option on, make adjustments with entire collection selected. You can then do anything you want to the virtual copies without affecting your original set of adjustments. If you want, you can delete the collection when you're done.

  • Filling out IPTC Core information to be the same for all images?

    How do I fill out all the IPTC Core info so that any and all images I load into Bridge - that info stays constant - such as 'Creator'   'Country'  'Phone'   'Copyright'  etc. ?

    Image Processor doesn't get me what I'm after.
    Photoshop has the option to create a contact sheet. So imagine that I want to create a contact sheet of images, but keep them on separate layers, and be able to change the size of the images as I feel, to fit my collage.

  • Script to disable SNMP for all mapped printers

    I'm looking for a script to disable SNMP on all printers mapped to a single computer.
    I'm fairly new to scripting and I'm having troubles finding if this is even possible.
    We've been going through and disabling SNMP on a few hundred printers, essentially breaking printers already mapped for thousands of users. Re-enabling SNMP is not an option.
    The only scripts I've been able to find require you to specify the printer port and the computer name.
    Basically, I need a script to say "disable SNMP on all printers".
    I also played around with the following registry entry, but it did not disable SNMP:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print
    New DWORD Value.
    SNMPLegacy
    Set value 1.
    I can have the script pushed at login, so as long as it works on a single computer, without needing to specify the port that requires a change, it should work without a hitch.
    I really appreciate any advice you guys may have.

    I think this PowerShell code should do the trick.  You can translate it to VBScript if needed (since it's just using WMI, both are fully capable of getting the job done).
    Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_TCPIPPrinterPort -Filter 'SNMPEnabled = True' |
    ForEach-Object {
    $_.SNMPEnabled = $false
    $_.Put() | Out-Null
    Edit:  Oddly enough, the MSDN documentation on Win32_TCPIPPrinterPort says that the SNMPEnabled property should be read-only, but I just tested this code on my Windows 7 machine and it worked fine.
    If, for some reason, you can't modify this through WMI, you can do it directly in the registry:
    Get-ChildItem -Path 'HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\Standard TCP/IP Port\Ports' |
    Set-ItemProperty -Name 'SNMP Enabled' -Value 0
