SDXC card support for cRIO 9031 Linux Real Time

The cRIO9031 with Linux Real Time did not support SDXC cards. Only SDGC with a maximum of 32GB supported by cRIO.
For logging application their is a need for more than 32GB => use of SDXC cards with 128/256 GB

Hi Schott,
Unfortunately, Linux does not have native (in kernel source) support for the exFAT filesystem (required for a device to be labled SDXC). As soon as such a filesystem is supported in Linux, we can enable direct support for exFAT.
In the meantime, there is nothing preventing you from formatting the card in a filesystem type that is supported on the target. FAT32 is unfortunately the most portable, accessible format, of course if you don't need to access the contents of the card from a Windows machine, you can use some of the tools on the RT controller to format the card in a more robust, journalling filesystem such as EXT4.

  • How to create a c++ shared library (.so) for linux real time (for myRio) with Eclipse to use in LabView?

    I tried already these Tutorials and Advices but I didn't find a solution:

    - and some more
    I want use c++ codes on linux real time. For testing reasons I want to have a function that adds 2 values and gives the result.
    I've done these steps:
    1. writing a c++ file in Eclipse (see screensot 2)
    2. building a shared library (.so) from my c++ project in Eclipse (with Cross GCC)
    3. putting this file on myRio (path: /usr/local/lib/)
    4. creating a VI that calls this library from Labview with a "Call Library Function Node" (see screenshot3)
    5. Setting the properties for the "Call Library Function Node" (see screenshots 4-7)
    After I run this VI i get this error message: LabVIEW:  (Hex 0x627) The function name for the ... node cannot be found in the library. To correct this error, right-click the Call Library Function Node and select Configure from the shortcut menu. Then choose the correct function name. (see screenshot1)
    I've tried a lot things to solve this problem but I couldn't find a solution. Would be very happy if anyone can help me. I guess that I have to edit my c++ code to export my function (symbol). But I have no idea how to make it. I also tried it with a dll file in the same folder but it didn't help.
    Perhaps someone can send an example which works on myRIO.
    Thanks!

     can see it in the screenshot8 there is a function called "_Z8AddierenddPd" instead of "Addieren". I copied this name to Labview (see screenshot9) and it worked.
    I'm sure that there is a way to compile the shared folder with gcc without decorations (mangling). But I don't know how. If someone has a recommendation I would be very glad!
    Prepend each function declaration that you want to be available without name decoration with
    extern "C" <your function declaration>
    Or if you have multiple functions you want to export you can in the header file where you declare your functions simply use:
    #ifdef __cplusplus
    extern "C" {
    #endif
    <all your function declarations>
    #ifdef __cplusplus
    #endif

  • Support for 64 bit Linux

    Hey macromedia/adobe
    When can we have support for 64 bit Linux? The problem is
    that most new hardware
    is moving towards 64 bit architectures. We have a brand new
    server, RedHat
    Enterprise 4, coldfusion will not run on it.
    Direct Contact: [email protected]

    I couldn't agree more - it's insane that an enterprise
    product isn't supporting x86_64 instructions in 2007.
    On a more constructive note - does anybody out there have a
    compiled connector for RHEL or CentOS 4.X, the 64 bit version? I
    ask because I've found numerous pages on the web describing how it
    works great for people after they compile it on their own. Well, I
    can't get it to work. I have CentOS 4.4 x64, and I try to run this
    script after successfully installing CFMX 7.0.2 by using the method
    to sed out the checks for the right kernels, etc. Here is the
    script I try to run inside the connectors/src directory:
    /usr/sbin/apxs -c -n jrun20 -S
    LIBEXECDIR=/opt/coldfusionmx7/runtime/lib/wsconfig/1/ mod_jrun20.c
    jrun_maptable_impl.c jrun_property.c jrun_session.c
    platform.c \
    jrun_mutex.c jrun_proxy.c jrun_utils.c | more
    /usr/sbin/apxs -i -n jrun20 -S
    LIBEXECDIR=/opt/coldfusionmx7/runtime/lib/wsconfig/1/ mod_jrun20.la
    strip /opt/coldfusionmx7/runtime/lib/wsconfig/1/mod_jrun20.so
    All the paths are correct, and when I run it I get about 1000
    warning lines from apxs about invalid characters and such in the .c
    file. Good times.
    Can somebody tell me how the hell to get this to work on 64
    bit CentOS 4.x? I'm going crazy here... and Adobe - GET OFF YOUR
    ***** AND PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ALREADY. IT'S BEEN YEARS SINCE AMD
    STARTED SHIPPING THEIR FIRST X64 BIT CHIPS.
    This is approaching the no iTunes on Vista level of insanity
    here....

  • How to verify RTSJ use linux real time kernel?

    Hi,
    I'm complete newbie into this area and I'm trying out the RTSJ 2.1 beta Linux. I'm using this on Ubuntu with the linux real time kernel. Is there anyway to find out whether the real time kernel is being actually used or in other words is there a way to find out whether RTSJ works fine with the real time kernel on Ubuntu? I see that the programs get compiled and run irrespective of whether I use the real time kernel or the generic kernel.
    Thanks,
    Vidura

    Hi,
    I would assume, like other distributions, that you either boot the real-time kernel or you don't. uname should show you what you are running, but you'd have to ask the Ubuntu folk what you should see for the RT kernel.
    To see if you are benefiting from real-time, you need to run a RTSJ app that tracks deadline misses or measures latency/jitter. Try it on the non-real-time kernel and the real-time one and see what you get. Some of the examples in the "Getting Started" guide should be usable for these purposes.

    Some Internet providers that limit access to a single device at a time do so by the device's hardware MAC address. If your ISP is one of those, you may be able to substitute the MAC address of your AirPort Express base station for the computer. I would suggest that you contact them to find out if this is allowable.

  • Dell Equallogic SAN HIT Kit support for SAP in Linux 11.2

    Hello Everyone,
    I would like to use an Equallogic SAN as storage in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11.2. Is the Equallogic SAN supported in Linux when using the HIT Kit to provide MPIO and snapshot support? The article from thorsten.staerk describes Equallogic SAN + Linux + native iSCSI (no mention of the HIT Kit). I understand that there are restrictions on using third party kernel modules.
    My understanding is that the Equallogic MPIO driver will provide a faster, more efficient, connection to the SAN along with additional features.

    The Dell EqualLogic HIT/Linux MPIO software consists of two components:
    1. The EqualLogic Host Connection Manager daemon, ehcmd, which monitors the iSCSI session state and the configuration of the Linux server and PS Series group. Running in the background, the ehcmd daemon uses the Open-iSCSI management tool (iscsiadm) to add, remove, or modify iSCSI sessions to maintain an optimal number of iSCSI sessions. It also gathers information on the volume layout from the PS Series group.
    2. A loadable kernel module, dm-switch, which implements a new Device Mapper target to the multipath devices. Based on the volume layout on the array members, the dm-switch module routes each I/O to the optimal path within the PS Series group.

    I'll take a moment to provide an update on the solution. There were some issues with the initial configuration of the in guest iSCSI volumes. If I had to start from scratch, I would run all the storage through VMware. The last round of software updates appears to have resolved a potentially serious issue with iSCSI disconnects. iSCSI has run perfectly for two months now. I'll consider the issue resolved once I have six months without any iSCSI issues.
    One remaining issue is that LVM won't initialize properly without implementing a custom init script. The init script work-around is simple and it works.

  • Support for bi-directional GIOP any time?

    One thing I was wondering about while preparing for a presentation was why bidirectional GIOP isn't supported in the 1.5 version of the ORB? The default uni-directional nature of IIOP is the achilles heel with CORBA in terms of the firewall penetration issue. (I think most agree now that making IIOP one-way was a fundamental design mistake. Bidirectional should probably be the default now.) I was just curious why Sun hasn't pursued a firewall friendly version of their version of CORBA. RMI has some support for firewall penetration, it'd be nice to see something similar for CORBA as well and further support in RMI such as full duplex communication. (If you're using Applets or trusted applications, I don't see any reason not to support multiplexed communication. ) It'd be nice to have alternative solutions in available in the JDK for the firewall penetration problem other than HTTP-based solutions. (I know that Jacorb and OpenOrb already support bi-directional GIOP, but it'd be great to have better support in the bundled version as well.)
    Thanks!
    Rob

    I had an exchange with Sun some time ago about this and IIRC they were not convinced of the viability of the specification, can't remember the details, sorry, it's a long time ago. Are there other implementations of bi-di IIOP?

  • BCM43227 Wlan Card Support for x230t?

    Hi, everyone. I have a thinkpad x230t and recently changed my OS so I need to replace my WLAN card because there's no driver for intel cards.
    I checked Lenovo documents, here http://download.lenovo.com/parts/ThinkPad/x230t_fru_bom_20140421.pdf
    it says BCM43227 card with FRU number 03T9015 is supported so I made my purchase online. But upon boot on it gives me 1802 error saying it's not a proved card.
    The BCM43227 card I have has ID/DEV numbers: 14E4/4358/14E4/0543. I assume it's the same card mentioned in the pdf. I have bios version 2.55, will updating bios solve this problem?
    Did anyone have experience with this card? Please help!

    Hi, George:
    Thank you for your reply!
    The seller who sold me this card claims it is the same product as 03T9015, it's just Lenovo makes different lables during different periods. I compared this card with 03T9015 pictures online and they appear to have the same Lenovo P/N number and the same Cyber Tan P/N number. But the card I have is mssing the FRU numbers. I'm attaching pictures of both.
    My questions are:
    1. Is my card realy 03T9015?
    2. If this is not, will a real 03T9015 pass the whitelist check?
    To my understanding, the way whitelist works is to check the card's Dev/Ven and Sub Dev/Ven numbers. Can someone who has 03T9015 post his/her numbers so I can compare with the one I have?

  • Is this card supported for 3d ray tracing optimized with CUDA?

    On the system requirements list for after effects CS6, the 660 is not listed, but I just wanted to double check. According to nvidia's website the 660 supports CUDA optimized functions. There is also the fact that sometimes softwares fail to keep up to date with what hardware works. Is this one of those case?

    For a list of supported hardware acceleration cards start at  http://forums.adobe.com/thread/773101 and click the system requirements link
    Most nVidia cards that are not in the list may be used for hardware MPE if they have at least 1Gig of video ram, by means of the hack http://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557
