Seeing open screens

If I am looking at a website, say fandango and then before finished want to say look at safari or go to another app can you see multiple screens or do you hit the iPad button and go back to home page? How do you close an app oe web page out when done?

You can only see one screen at a time (except when you touch the two overlapping boxes on the upper left of the Safari page). Touching that brings up thumbnails of recently opened pages. You can reopen a page by touching that page. The thumbnail page also contains an x by each page that you use to delete that page. Safari really does not have a home page. The last opened page becomes the page that opens when you open Safari again.

If the Reset Ian mentioned doesn't work...
Shut down and restart the Mail app...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete the Mail app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart the Mail app

I too am having the same issue only I am in Regina, Canada. iCloud appears to think Regina, Canada is in the Central time zone which it is, but it does not use Daylight Savings time. My PC is Windows 7 and I am using Outlook 2010. I have iCloud on iPhone 5 and iPad 2. Terribly frustrating!

I uninstalled and reinstalled but at the end of installation there were erros. See attached screen shot. I now cannot open the application. error code 10810 comes up when I try to open.

Still looking for a solution to specific installation errors (see screeshot) referring to "Language Pack installation failure":

Unfortunately previous advice of using CCS cleaner tool, and suggestions from links for 1) "exit code 6 and 7" and 2) "Troubleshoot instal logs" did not work at all. So I am desparate to fix this because I have spent a lot of money purchasing Photoshop CS6 but have no functioning program. Surely Adobe can help solve this problem with installing, or else it means a lot of money spent on Photoshop CS6 for nothing. I am appealing directly to Adobe to help because I have come to the end of my options. I thank the forum for their suggestions but so far the solution for this specific "Language Pack installation failure" problem is missing. Thank you.

Have a bit of a problem. I'm trying to adjust the resolution on a 2013 27" iMac. Brand new, bought on April 6 2013 from Apple. My friend is 84 years old so, I'm trying to help him adjust the screen so he can see the screen. Any direction would be great.

OK. Have a 84 year old that has a hard time seeing the screen. I've been able to adjust Safari's resolution to accomadate him however, I would like to adjust the screen resolution. When I open preference's / displays, it doesn't have an option to adjust. Is there a way? Maybe thourgh terminal? The computer is the new 27" iMac purchased on April 6, 2013 from Apple. Yes, it is the newest iMac without the disk (DVD) drive. It's running Mountian Lion.
Anyone have some direction on how to solve this enigma???

The purchase date isn't the important info here. The actual model of the iMac is and this info is in the model identifier. For example, I have a late-2012 iMac, model identifier is iMac 13,2. I will add that there is no 2013 model available. The most recent at this time is the late-2012 model which I have.
On my display if I select Apple->System Preferences->Displays then press the button "Display" I am presented with a screen which shows Resolution and Scaled as button options. "Best for built-in display" is the default, however, clicking on "Scaled" brings up the various resolutions that can be used with the display:
From this I can select a display with larger items, but keep in mind that while a larger image can be selected (using a smaller width x height value) it will not be as crisp and sharp as the default.

I'd start with these troubleshooting steps:
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.

Hi everyone!
In my service desk transaction monitor, when i click on one particular transaction (this problem doesnt exist with other transactions), it opens up flagging a message "Text contains formatting (see detail screen)". [Message no. COM_TEXT202]. The performance assisstant states that "The text contains formatting that cannot be displayed in Text Edit Control."
Can anyone please tell me why is this message getting displayed? And what should be done so that it doesn't appear?

How to open screen for Smart Bookmarks Bar add-on

I downloaded Smart Bookmarks Bar but there is no instruction as to accessing the screens shown as the ones for filling in preferences. I looked in profiles but nothing shows as being related to this name.
It appears to need my preferences but no instruction, manual, website, nothing that I see is there to instruct on this issue.
I see that a very large number of people are happy, in fact they are very enthusiastic about this offering. I have looked through all of those but still I have no idea how to proceed. I have added several add-ins today but this is the only one with any problem.

Rebooting the system in expectation that everything would then become completely installed/functional was unsuccessful. I still do not see any option that will open such a screen.
Certainly, with this large number of people who are pleased with this add-on, either something has recently been omitted on the informational page or there perhaps there IS a website where the instructions are to be found. However,they are not included on this version of information regarding this the Smart Bookmarks Bar. In defense of the add-on, it does function and the icons are in place without the text until I hover over each one so all is not a loss. I would like to add more in the line of what I want it to do and find it frustrating to see these screens but not be able to get to them.
There is a picture with various strips of colors which appear to be akin to toolbar color small squares which my PC does not show. I think that having that on toolbars perhaps is tied to access to the instructions or being able to add preferences. I will appreciate anything that you cab add to this topic for me. Thanks in advance for your help.

It depends on the version of the Optimus that you have, it can only be installed on the Optimus Z. If you have another version of the Optimus you may be able to use the experimental ARMv6 version, for details see https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android#System_Requirements (note that the ARMv6 builds are broken on some devices and will not work at all)

Project won't load! Spinning beach ball at opening screen.

So my project is multi-camera, has all externally synced audio, and about 45 min of footage in current timeline. When I created the project, and edited the elements within, all worked fine. But now when I try to reopen the project, I get the spinning beach ball hanging at the opening screen for hours. It just shows "loading project into timeline" forever. It just doesn't want to open. Anyone run into these problems before??
Specs: 2010 mbp, 2.53 ghz i5, 8GB ram, 500GB. OSX 10.8.4

The app may not be iOS6 compatible. Have you tried to reset it? HOld down the sleep and home keys, past when you see the red slider, and unitl you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and see if that helps. If it doesn't, then I'd contact Kindle and see when they're going to update their app or if they even know there's an issue. Unfortunately, the burden is on app developers to be compatible with the operating system, not on the OS to be compatible with millions of apps. So it's up to them.

No ability to see open Safari tabs in other devices on iPhone 4s

I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 7.0.2. I have set up iCloud on all my devices and it works to sync mail, calendar, contacts on all devices (iMac, iPad & iPhone). What I can't see on my iPhone are the open Safari tabs in my other devices. I can see open tabs in other devices (inlcuding the iPhone) on both my iPad and iMac.

Currently There is only one option to watch 1080P movies from iTunes on your Apple devices... With a sync with a laptop.. Apple by default sends the 720P file... Users have no option to control video download... Some like me want the full file... Some uses may think the 720P file is fine... However I see the difference... And it is big.. The iPhone has a 1080P camera... So it can play and store a 1080P file... And the screen does display a better image... Just watching a iTunes movie and shooting a video in 1080P on your iPhone and you can see the image is better.. YES it's 1080P... not 720... Apple has know from release of iPhone 5 on September 21,2012 iPhone can play 1080P file... However the system is overloaded as I seen on my Apple T.V. On Christmas say ready to pay is 8 hours 22 minutes... I pay for 50MBps download and 5MBps download.. fastest I can get in my area... It's obvious it will load Apple's network and the don't want to make the changes... Users now wanting 1080p files for iPhones/iPads.... The system load would jump off the scale... I contacted Apple told them the issues, currently they have stopped emailing me replies on the issue after issue was escalated to Apple engineers... Apple knows... Yet...
I want control of what file I download into my device over Wi-Fi... Apple has missed the ball for over two years... Missed it rolling down the hall... Missed it bouncing down the stairs.... Missed it as it rolled across the street and is still going with no fix yet....

Large number of apps crashing after opening screen

A large number of the applications on my 16 GB iPhone 3G have begun to crash when I try to open them. At first I thought it was just those that used the camera, but now, although the photo ones are among the major offenders, there are others too.
I have almost filled my apps quota but never had this issue before. I think I may have had one or two problematic apps over the past 9 months, but nothing like the number that are now refusing to open. Attempting to open these apps will show the app's opening screen and then just bring me back to the home screen.
I'm not aware of having made any changes that might have caused the problem. I tried to remember the most recent apps I added and tried deleting them but it didn't help. I've shut down and restarted a few times and done a total reboot once or twice, but without success.
Can anyone suggest what I should try next?

Did you purchase the application in iTunes on your Mac and then sync it to the iPhone?
If not, try walking through the process I suggested above.
If you did purchase the application in iTunes and sync it to the iPhone after deauthorizing and authorizing, try updating the iPhone to 2.2.1 or restoring the iPhone as shown here: This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414 will walk you through restoring an iPhone or iPod touch.
