Selection question

Question

I have just upgraded from elements to PS CS4. I'm used to using the magnetic lasso to grab stuff, then magnifying to the edges of the select, then using a brush to touch up a few areas of the selection.
I'm finding I can do all that in PS CS4 except the final brush part. I can't find a 'selection brush' (for lack of better words) like I used to have in elements. I've tried all the brushes I can find on the toolbar, but each one either dodges, applies a color, and so forth.
After making my initial magnetic lasso selection, how can I go about refining the edges a bit with precision? There must be some kind of option/tool in CS4.
