Selective data load to InfoCube

Dear All,
I am facing the following problem :
I have created staging DSOs for billing item (D1) and Order item (D2). Also i have created one InfoCube (C1) which requires combined data of order and billing and so we have direct transformation with billing DSO (D1-->C1) and in transformation routines we had look up from Order item (D2) DSO.
Now all the deltas are running fine. But in today's delta particular Order has not retrieved, say 123, but corresponding Billing document, say 456, has been retrieved through delta.
So now while DTP ran for C1 cube it has not loaded that particular billing doc (456) and corresponding Order details(123).
I thought of loading this particular data by creating new Full DTP to Cube C1. Is this approach ok?
Please help on the same.

Hi,
Yes you can do a full load. Just make sure the selection condition in your DTP is EXACTLY THE SAME as selective delete on C1.
I'd suggest put a consolidation DSO D3 in the position of C1. And you can always use delta update C1 from D3. In my company there are similar cases and we love the consolidation DSO.

Hi Wijey,
1.If you are talking about selective data load, you need to write a ABAP Program in the infopackage for the field for which you want to select. Otherway is to write a start routine in the transformations and delete all the records which you do not want. In the second method, you get all the data but delete unwanted data so that you process only the required data. Performancewise, you need to observe. If the selection logic is complicated and taks a lot of time, the second option is better.You try both and decide yourself as to which is better.
2. Only the fields that are marked as available for selection in the DS are available as selection in the data package. That is how the system is.

Selective data load using DTP

Hi,
We have created a data flow from once cube to other cube using Transformations. Now we would like to do selective data load from source cube to target cube. The problem is that in DTP we are not able to give the selective weeks in the Filter area because we can give filter conditions in change mode only and in production system we canu2019t go to change mode for DTP. So we struck up there. Can any one of you tell me how to do selective data load in this scenario

As a try, createe a new DTP and try to get in to change mode.It might accept that way.
otherway round,you can go the way as manisha explained in previous post.
Do the load and do a selective deletion. you can do selective deletion using a program.

Data Error in the Query/Report after selective data deletion for infocube

Hi Experts,
Please advise what i was missing and what went wrong...
I got a Query (Forecast) on a Multicube...which is based on 2 Infocubes with Aggregates...
As i identified some data discrepency..yesteraday i performed selective data deleation on one of the Infocube
and executed report yesteraday and the results in the query are correct...
When today i executed the same report i am getting different results..
When i compared the results of the report with that of data in cube they are not matching
The report is not displaying the data in cube..for some rows it is displaying the data in the cube but for some rows it is just displaying same as the above row
there is no data loaded into info cube after selective deleation
Do i need to perform request compression and fill the aggregated after selective deleation
Please advise what went wrong

No i haven't done anything on aggregates before or after selective delete
As there is not data load after the selective delete according to SAP Manual we don't need to perform any thing on aggregates...as selective data deletion on cube will delete data from aggregates as well

Data loaded in Infocube is not visible in the Reporting

Hi all,
In the info cube, the data is not visible for reporting, How can i make it available for reporting,
When i select the Manage option from the context menu of the cube and select the Requests Tab, i get a pop up message that tells
" There is an inconsistency between the load status of the data and the option of reporting on this data.
There is data in the InfoCube/ODS object that is OK from a quality point of view, but is not yet displayed in reporting.
The problem, for example, is to do with request 0000018049, number REQU_F4ZBFRMDGBULE9WCUN3R5UX5X."
How do i find out the inconsistancies?
PS: All the requesta are delta upload
There is no aggregates for this cube.

Use the RSRV transaction and select All Elementary Tests in the dropdown ->Transaction data , select the Consistency of the Time Dimension for an InfoCube and select your cube and Execute the button ..if any error are there it will display the inconsistency ..Repair the Inconsistency with Correct Button..
Check the other test also ..

Data load from Infocube to Infocube 170 million records.

Hi All,
I want to load the data from 1 infocube to another infocube. Now I have developed in Development. But in production if I start the Full load it will load or any time out error it will show? bcz 17 crores records I have to load from old infocube to new infocube.
Please advise any precaution should I take before start load from old to new infocube.

You need not load the entire 170 mil records at a go.
Please do a selective loading, i.e. say, based on Doc Number or Doc Date or Fisc. Period or Cal month, some characteristic like this which is unique for all records.
This will ensure that the data is getting loaded in small amounts.
As said above, what you can do is, create a process chain.
Drop indexes from the 2nd cube. Make multiple infopackages, with different selections, placed one after the other in the process chain, loading the data into cube 2.
Then build your indexes, after the loads are complete i.e. after 170 mil records have been added to cube 2.

How is data loaded from Infocube to Planning area - need technical info

I would like to find out how data is loaded from cube to planning area ,
I know that CUBE has tables, but how does that get loaded to planning area , where is the mapping from which I can compare
data in CUBE and the same data that reaches planning area.
Say for example I have below values in the infocube
Prod1 --> Loc1 -
> available provisioning qty
AAA AB90 100
Then where do i check in the planning area tables ( are there any tables mapped) after running the TSINPUT program, i know it can be checked in the planning book , but i want to check in planning area tables if they exi

The data is loaded from infocube to planning area using update rules. The issue you have mentioned seems to be two requests are having data for the same CVCs in the cube.
Example: For the same CVC, two requests avilable in the infocube. When you copy the data using TSCUBE transaction, whatever data avilable in the cube for the CVC gets copied into Planning Area.
CVC1 - cube - Old Request - 100
CVC1 - cube - Actual Request - 200
CVC1 - Planning Area = 300 ( The value is supposed to be 200, but since the old request also contains data in the cube for the cvc, it gets copied as 300)
Issue : There might two request contains data for the same code
Solution : 1. Check the data in the cube using transaction LISTCUBE 2. Delete old request and check the data agian. 3. If it matches with your requirement, run the TSCUBE again.

Issue with Data Load to InfoCube with Nav Attrivutes Turned on in it

Hi,
I am having a issue with loading data to a InfoCube. When i turn
on the navgational attributes in the cube the data load is failing
and it just says "PROCESSED WITH ERRORS". when i turn them off
the data load is going fine. I have done a RSRV test both on
the infoobject as well as the cube and it shows no errors. What
could be the issue and how do I solve it.

Hi,
To activate a navigation attribute in the cube the data need not be dropped from the cube.
You can always activate the navigation attribute in the cube with data in the cube.
I think you have tried to activate it in the master data as well and then in the cube or something like that??
follow the correct the procedure and try again.

Deleting selected data from an Infocube in BW using ABAP program?

I have to create a ABAP program in SE38 which, on execution will delete selected data from a Cube in BW module. How to achieve it. Is there any function module that can do so? Eagerly waiting for your suggestions.

and then u can delete the records

Hi Gnanasundaram,
I hope you have an excel sheet containing the Master data??
If so then you create a DS in BW to load the flatfile to the Masterdata IO. Before loading the master data, you will have to make the Master data IO as Infoprovider.
In RSA1 trans, select the Infoprovider in the left pane. And then in the right pane click on the top corner> You will get a option called Insert the Characteristic as Infoprovider> give the technical name of your Master data IO> then your Matster data IO will be inserted in Infoprovider>
Load the data into DS upto PSA using Infopackage
Then Right click on your Master data IO> create transformation between your Master data IO & theflatfile DataSource> Do the mapping correctly--> Then load the data from PSA to your Masterdata IO using DTP.

Data loading to Infocube from SAP R/3 System

Hello Friends,
I started load in BW four days back in background. Initially i could able to see the load running in SM50 t.code. This load has 28 data packets. Out of 28, five data packets are successfully updated data to the cube, Remaining data packets are not through yet and in yellow colour. Now there is no job running in background in SM50 and i didn't find any runtime error in ST22.Source system is SAP R/3.The data is related to Employee HR Position.
Could anyone plz throw some light on this.Thanks in advance. Your responose will be appreciated.

for this u have to chk the luw entries in SM58 of R/3....
if there are some entries ur load won't be successful...
and also chk these all
1) wht in the details of extraction is ur data selction ended?
2) after that chk in sm58 there shuld be no entire there...
3) still ur load is in yellow, u can maually change the status to RED and goto each data packet and right click and select manual update...this takes soemtime to turn into green...
do the same for all packets in yellow and then after the whole packets r green u can change the status from red to back to technical status..

Data Loading into Infocube from ECC.

Can someone help me with the list of steps to be followed for loading data into infocube using Data trasnformation process. Steps to be perfomed in the system.
Also please share any links on various methods of loading data into infocube from ECC.

The steps would be *** foloows:-
1) Create the info-objects.
2) Create the infocube. If you a Planning area and the cube is a replica of the PA you can use /SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_TO_ICUBE to create the infocube.
3) You create a source system as a file system.
4) You create the datasource with the relevant fields.
5) You create a transformation for the cube using the datasource you created in step 4.
6) Last step would be to create DTP. When you create the DTP, on the first screen, check the checkbox for "Do not load data from PSA". This will give you additional fields to enter the file path. When this DTP is created and generated, goto the last tab of the DTP to execute.
This will help you to directly pull the data from the file and load it into the cube.
You can also create a Process chain to automate this process.

Data load into InfoCube

Hi,
I am trying to load data from DSO to InfoCube. I am not able to see the data into InfoCube.
Details: Intially data was present in InfoCube, i have made some changes into InfoCube(added some Nav attr) and activated the InfoCube. when i load data from DSO into InfoCube, i am not able to see the data. In monitor tab, i can see that 107 records updated into InfoCube. status is green. i checked the load using debugging mode, data is present till 'After the Transformation'. but could n't see the data therafter (while updating in cube). if i see the contents of InfoCube, there are 107 rows but all with blank values.
Could you please let me know how to fix this problem.

You may have to dump all the data in your cube and reload it from the DSO

No data Loaded from infocube to another infocube

I am trying to create copy of info cube....Here I am getting this erro at the end
No request Idoc generated in BW
Diagnosis
No request IDoc has been created in BW. A short dump has most probably been logged in BW.
Procedure
Look for the short dump belonging to your data request in the short dump overview in BW. Pay attention to the correct date and time in the selection screen.
You can get the short dump list using the Wizard or from the monitor detail screen via the menu path "Environment -> Short dump -> Data Warehouse".
Removing errors:
Follow the instructions in the short dump.

might be you hve run out of space or processes...it could be anything...

Hi all,
I need to load data one after one in terms of Cal week from 2000 to 2012 thrugh DTP.
I can write a routine in DTP for the field Cal week
But can any one help me to guide how to load this DTP multiple times through Process chain?

i think, he want to load: calweek 01.2000 per full, then 02.2000, 03.2000, ...
=> you have to create 53 * 12 = 636 DTPs
other solution:
- create a Z-table. there you saved the last loaded calweek.
- create a Z-program to trigger a event.
- insert in your dtp a filter: read z-table. add 1 week. save the new week in the z-table.
- create a process chain. insert the dtp. insert the z-program.
=> so you have a loop. the process chain starts himself.
=> the next dtp load the next week.
=> you need a break for this loading. For example: when you are in 01.2013 create a shotdump.
