Send existing html file as the message

Hi
I have a small program developed in netbeans that uses ireport and the javadb.
The program takes some data from the database and using my ireport jasper file, creates a file in html format.
My question is this:
Is there a simple way to send this file as an email so that it becomes the actual body of the email message?

Your suggestion worked to a degree, only thing is that the file appears 'jumbled up' as though it requires some formatting.
I have a similar email from amazon which is fine so I believe that the problem must be in my code, maybe at the point where I actually create the file, I've shown the code below.

can we pass the html file in the content of mail?
i.e instead of doing this

Also if we have images in the html is there any way that instead of hot linking the images we can attach them with mail?

Supplying the html content using a file instead of a String is easy:
messageBodyPart.setDataHandler(new FileDataSource("file.html"));
To include images in the message is harder, see the FAQ.

Send local html files to Browser

I have a Servlet program which can send any HTML files located on the computer which Tomcat is running to client browser. The HTML files are not necessarily in Tomcat's "webapps" folder. My method is quite simple. Read the content of the local HTML file and write it out through HttpServletResponse object. But there is problem that if the HTML file includes images, the images don't appear in client browser. Is there a way to send those images to client browse as well? Thanks in advance.

Well, this is just an idea, but:
You would probably have to create a new Servlet, that will identify the image type, set the correct content type (response.setContentType("image/gif") for example). It would have to get a binary InputStream to the image and copy the input to the output stream in the response(use the getOutputStream and not getWriter...)
In your HTML writing servlet you would have to scan each line for an <img ... > tag parse out the source and replace it with the image servlet.
Locating the image may be problematic if it is not given in absolute "file://" url. You may need to scan for a <base> tag in the HTML as well, or use the HTML page's directory for the path in which to find the image... but it could come in more complicated then that depending on how complicated the HTML was written (ie, for a server with multiple hosts, or with aliased paths...)
Or, you might be able to write a filter that looks for images(*.gif *.jpg) and sends the request to your image servlet....

Unfortunately, the answer is, you don't. The requirements for HTML displayed in an e-mail reader are very different than those for HTML displayed in a browser. The output of Muse won't work as an HTML e-mail. You could upload the Muse site as a website and provide a link to it in an e-mail, but the HTML generated by Muse is not suitable for direct display by an e-mail program.

What format did you back the bookmarks to?
If it was a JSON file, use the restore process in the [[Backing up and restoring bookmarks]] article. If it was an HTML file follow the procedure in the [[Importing Bookmarks from an HTML File]] article.

Change the password on that e-mail account. It's possible that your account has been hacked/spoofed and spammers have used it to blast out junk, leaving you to 'pay the price'. If it's one where you can contact the company, contact them and ask them what's going on. (if this is g-mail, yahoo, hotmail, don't bother, there's no way to contact any sort of support)

Deploying an existing WAR file into the Portal

I have downloaded the Enterprise Portal and the SAP Netweaver Developer Studio (NDS) and have succeeded in creating a couple of projects of the Hello World variety and deployed them on the Portal! So far, so good.
The problem I have is that need to deploy on the Portal an existing JSP/Struts application of ours which is available as a Web Archive (WAR) file.
The problem is that I cannot find a way of deploying an existing WAR file on the Portal either via a Project or otherwise. I have found an entry in the Help files with the NDS which sounds promising, as it is entitled Import a .WAR File into a new project. However, the menu entry it says you should use (File ‑> Import ‑> MDK: Import a web archive (.WAR) into a new project) this last entry does not exist on my installation of NDS.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi Mustafa (and All) - thanks you very much for your answers, which has enabled me to make good progress.
I have created a project in the Deploy Tool, imported a simple WAR file into it, loaded to project and depployed it on my instance of the Portal - or at least I have deployed it as far as the Deploy Tool is concerned.
However, when I try to find it in the Portal in order to assign it to an iView in the Portal content, I can't find any evidence of its existence!!
As another 'tack' in the NDS I have created an 'Enterprise Application Project', into which I appear to have imported the WAR file - but I cant package this as a PAR file, which is what I seem to need to do to get it into an iView on the Portal. To create a PAR package I seem to need to create a 'Portal Application Project' - but I can't find a way of getting the WAR file into that!!
Any further advice would be greatefully received.
