Hi Jitendra,
In SBWP you need to create a Distribution List to whom the mail has to be sent and in your program pass the Distribution list name with type 'B' in the receiver list of your mail sending program then all the members of that Distribution List will receive the mail.

Problem sending group mail

I coordinate several non-profit groups - writers, genealogists, historians - & sometimes send group emails. Suddenly today Apple mail refuses to send. Message "Cannot send message using the server smtp.me.com. The server smtp.me.com did not recognize the following recipients:" I say Phooey! The server recognizes the recipients individually.
This is not spam, these are notices that the people want to receive and they request being on the email list. I divided up the alphabet into groups so there are less than 40 in each group. What else do I need to do? I need to get these out.
I have the filemaker pro 8.5 program and am told it has an email ability that allows the groups to be sent, but have not yet learned how to do it.
Help please.

The only punctuation is the period and the apostrophe. I will remove both and give it a try.

Sending group mail using comcast

I have been working for two days trying to send out a group mail notifying my friends that I have a new Comcast mail address. I have spoken with 3 Comcast techs who have verified that I have my accounts set up properly. I try sending a group mail and it says that it, "cannot send message using the server smtp.comcast.net. The server response was (suspend) the mailbox is currently unavailable -please contact correspondent directly. If I send out more than one address at a time it will not function.
Please help!!!

Does the same occur when manually adding more than one email address to the To: field - not using a Group?

Sending group mail.

When sending mail to a group, all members addresses are shown even though I have not checked the "show all members addresses" box. This is a new development, it used to send only the group name.

I just tested my mail. If I uncheck show all addresses that's what it does so not sure why yours would not. I stll think too many issues with mail that needs to be fixed by Apple.

Mail & Adress Book: issues sending group mail - Problem solved

I started writing this discussion because I could not get something to work. As I wrote it, I made many tests to confirm what I was writing and also read several past discussions on the subject. I ended up solving my problem and decided to share my findings. Hope it is useful to other people.
EMAIL TO A GROUP WITH ALL RECIEPIENTS SHOWING IN THE «TO» HEADER - My problem solved
SENDING FROM THE MAIL APPLICATION:
To start do the following: Mail/Preferences/Composing check «Show members of a group»
Then for a group name with two or more words OR wit a one word group name, start writing the group name in the «TO» header of an email wait until the « () » appears highlithed in a color as you slowly write the Address Book group name and then select the group name from the scroling list appearing below which comes from your Adress Book (whether it's open or not). If you choose in a selection list before the « () » appears as you type, you could end up with an empty list and the group email does not work. When the « () » does not yet appear but the group name does below, it most likely will not work but if you scroll down you may find a second one that will. The whole thing is wear but once you get the hang of it you make it work everytime.
SENDING FROM THE ADDRESS BOOK APPLICATION:
If you try to send the email to a group from the application ADRESS BOOK by pressing «ctrl» & right clicking the name of the group and select «Send an email to GROUP-NAME», it will work also. But the group name must not have a space before its name in the Address Book (one could decide to do this to have a group to appear at the top of a list of groups). The latter was my problem and sending from the address book application did not work.
EMAIL TO A GROUP WITH «UNDISCLOSED RECIPIENTS» SHOWING IN THE «TO» HEADER - My problem solved
First one has to uncheck the «Show members of a group» in Mail/Preferences/Composing
Second strat a new email and proceed as described above in «1.» in the second and third paragraph.
As suggested in one discussion, if you still can not get it to work try closing your Mail and Address Book applications and re-open them.
As suggeted in another discussion by Ernie Stamper on May 15 2009 in the «Can't send an email to a group»:
«In Mail Preferences/Composing, select to Show members of a group, and then compose a message (no need to send for this test) using the group address -- do the 9 addresses show in the message header? If so, then report the name of the provider of the SMTP you are using. It might be that they do not allow the Group in the To -- when working correctly, the recipient sees only Undesignated Recipients in the header.»

All names appear in the group mails. They didn't before.

I used to be able to send group mail with just the title of the group appearing in the "To" window. Now, all the names in the group have to be there or it won't go out. Sometimes I don't want the names there.

Your question and description is not very clear to me, so hopefully something here will help:
1. Gmail is a service not an app or a place. So you need to access the service with an app - that can be iPhoto, Mail, Outlook or any other mail client, or even a Web Browser like Safari or Firefox.
So you can't "go to GMail" as you write, but instead you go to an application set up to use the GMail service.
2. iPhoto is not a mail client. It's a handy way to email pics to Grandma, but for what you're doing you need to use an app that supports all of the Gmail service. iPhoto doesn't. There is no way around that.
3. How to send to groups will vary depending on what app you use to access the GMail service. All of these apps can receive photos from iPhoto, either - as in the case of Mail and Outlook, via the Share function - or, in the case of all the rest - via a Media Browser.
For help sending to Groups using any of these other apps you need to ask omn their respective forums. But the workflow is quite simple:
Using Mail or Outlook set in the iPhoto Prefereneces:
1. Select the pic(s) you want to share.
2. Choose email from the Share function
3. Make your selections re size etc
4. The email opens up in Mail or Outlook
- from there you need to figure out how to use the email client.
Using any other app:
1. In the mail app create a new email
2. Click on the Attach button or link
3. Use the Media browser to select the pic(s) you want to send
4. Attach them
- from there you need to figure out how to use the email client.

Difficulty sending e-mail to group

Attempting to send E-mail to group of approximately 12 people. Get two error messages as to why the message can't be sent: "(1) Message not sent sent SCC1203 and (2) message not sent SCC1204 followed by the name of one of the people I was attempting to send the E-mail to. In the second case I determined that I must have the incorrect E-mail address. Is there an easy way to correct the error so I can get this accomplised? Thank you foryour help.

Both error codes means there is something wrong with the email address you are sending to. Check the email addresses and look for a typo too. While it could be a wrong email address, sometimes it is something as simple as an extra period, double letter,etc.

Sending group emails in Mail 2.1

I'm having trouble (and have been for some time) sending group emails from my Address book. If there are more than a dozen or so in the Bcc box, it takes a long time for anything to get sent (usually not sending out at all). Yes I have an address in the 'to' box, and a group in the bcc box, but if my group numbers are high (let's say 50-100), it just won't send.
I've read a number of the dicussions about this over the years, and cannot find a solution.
If anyone has a solution, please advise. I don't want to switch to Entourage or any other program... I like Mail... just not this part.

I'm also unable to export my .mac addresses into excel and I find that most mass email programs can't import .mac addresses.
Does anyone have a solution/good way to
1) use .mac to send emails to groups of 100-1000?

Doesn't work like that I'm afraid - groups are a facility of whatever mail client you use, SMTP doesn't know anything about them. You will have to add each recipient to the mail yourself in UTL_MAIL.

How to create a group mailing list in JavaMail?

I've been searching through the entire API, specifically the InternetAddress class and I can't seem to find out how to create a group/mailing list. Does anyone know how to do this?
That is, I would like to be able to group a bunch of e-mail addresses together and give that group a name "my friends". Then send it off using this 'group mail address' as opposed to an array of InternetAddress[]. Then when the recipients receive the e-mail, they see "my friends" in the To: field, instead of everyone's e-mail address...
Is this possible in JavaMail? I've tried many things like creating an InternetAddress object passing in a comma-delimited list of e-mail addresses but it doesn't like it.
